Graphics are moving from their intended position in browser view

I have a column of text with sub heads and a few lines of text below each subhead. I have places small graphics next to each subhead. I want the graphic to correspond with the subhead. When I view this in browser mode, the graphics scramble and lose their positions. Especially if you enlarge the view in your browser (Safari > command > plus) or reducing the view (command > minus). The graphics are skipping over and under text. Can I lock these into the respective positions?

Not happening with anyone else but me and the boss's computer so has to be in the properties for my text edit software. Techies can't figure it out after trying for two weeks. Boss can do a cut and paste and put into a new document, but that's starting to become a problem.

The why it isn't working can be a number of reasons. While I never have exported an EPS out of ID before, I just tried it and it worked fine.
What "graphics" are missing? I used bitmaps, native drawn ID vector, lines and a placed EPS file. Came into AI as an opened EPS fine.
Links up to date? For items not hitting the EPS, are they on a layer set to non-printing?
In the export dialog,General tab, PostScript Level 3? Data format set to ASCII? On the Advanced tab, Send Data set to All? OPI off?

What do you mean by "sap inbox" - the SBWP mail inbox or the SBWP workflow inbox?

Moved from AVID to FCP...viewing on NTSC monitor question

I am in the process of migrating to FCP studio from AVID with mojo. With the mojo I used a S-video out to my NTSC monitor. Now with my FCP system, I have to always have my DSR-25 on and use the composite out to the monitor. Is there a better way? I am using FW and only editing in DV for the time being. A AJA IO would give me an S out but I do not have RS-422 control with my deck. Plus, that is a lot of bucks to pay just to get a clean video out to my monitor.
Any ideas? This switch to FCP is somewhat painful...but in the long run I feel it will be worth it.

If you have a deck you don't need the Canopus....if it is a firewire deck all you have to do is connect it to a monitor and you are good to go.

A simple path is mac > firewire > camera or deck > rca cables > tv
Then start up your camera and tv, then open fcp.
Then go View > External video > all frames
Video playback should be Apple firewire NTSC (If you are using an NTSC set)
Audio playback should be Audio follows Video
Techinially, this should send synched video to your TV
If for some reason you can't view your timeline on your external monitor, there are a few things to try:
1) Make sure that the camera/deck is connected and powered on BEFORE you open FCP.
2) In the Final Cut Pro menu select AUDIO/VIDEO Preferences and make sure your signal is being sent out thru Firewire DV.
3) Go to the menu and select VIEW>EXTERNAL>ALL FRAMES.
4) Click in the % box above the image and select FIT TO WINDOW.
5) Go to VIEW->refresh A/V devices
6) Make sure the Log & Capture window is closed
If you want it to play in both the canvas and the external monitor you need to go to the FINAL CUT PRO menu and select AUDIO/VIDIO settings and make sure MIRROR ON DESKTOP is selected under the PLAYBACK OUTPUT section

I now want to switch them to their own apple id (which I have now created) but it won't let me erase my apple id on the device to change it...How can I change the apple id on the device?

Create a new IDs for them:
On the iPod go to
- Settings>Messages>Send and receive and sign out your ID and sign into their ID. Make sure that only their ID email address is listed.
- Settings>FaceTime sign out of your ID and sign into theirs. Make sure that under You can be reached at only their ID email address is listed
- Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with theirs
- Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out your ID and sign into theirs.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

My stories are displaying from highest to lowest in story view in Incopy but layout view displays correctly

My linked stories are named Note pg1, Note pg2, Note pg3, etc. but in InCopy in story view, they display as Note pg3, Note pg2, Note pg1 etc. In layout view they display correctly.
I need them to sort as 1, 2, 3, etc in story view.

Firefox no longer shows pictures for any website I go to. All graphics are gone. I tried using another browser and I am able to get pictures. I really like Firefox and want to be able to use it. This is for a pc.

About 10 days ago Firefox started to show only some pictures that should be on website--shopping sites or any other. After a few more day it now shows no pictures or graphics at all. It makes it almost impossible to use. I can see text, but it is rearranged on pages. Can't see buttons to click on etc.

Not sure from your example but it appears that the address doesn't have a full domain, i.e., the part between http:// and the next / is not a valid internet domain name, e.g.,
http://sometext-webproxy/
In that case, it's probably something running on your computer, either as part of your security software, or as a Firefox add-on, or malware.
A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If you can access sites normally, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.

Issue w/ Spaces - Applications moving from screen to screen

Have been using that laptop for 2 months now - love it. Spaces is a very nifty feature (have it set it up on 4 screens). While I know how to navigate between spaces (using control+arrow for example), very often, my apps are moving from one space to the other.
While I went into System Preferences to assign specific apps to a specific space, I often have to drag back apps into their original space. That tends to happen quite often when I have several apps from Office open (I usually have entourage, excel and powerpoint open at the same time, each in its own space).
Am I doing something wrong. i really love Spaces but that issue is really counter-productive and right down annoying.

There is a known issue with MS Office 2008 not respecting Spaces.
It happens with some Adobe applications to.

Tab canvas does not put the items in their specified positions

Hi all,
I have created a form with a tab canvas with three tab pages, each page has it's own text items.
I saved this form without any problems.
When i open this form again, i found that, some of the items in the first tab page are not put in their positions in this page, although the x position and y position is still correct in the property pallette.
i overcome this by moving these items with the mouse to any direction and returning it back, but the problem comes after saving and trying to open the form again.
Not : this occures only in the first tab page, i tried to swap the second tab page(page7) with the first tab page (page6), now the problem occures with page7(which became the first after swap) .
Please help

Yes, the items are in a frame.
Both automatically and locked for the frame upate layout property causes the problem.
I want to tell that the form in run time is ok, but in the forms builder the text items are not in their specified positions.
Then when changing any property for the items even if it was not related to the item position, the item is then displayed in the correct position.

Will applications update correctly if they are moved ?

With all the little applications being downloaded (especially games) will they update correctly if they are moved to their own (MAS) folder ?
Also the file size displayed in the store seems to be compressed and not the actual installed size, is that correct ?

My experience with the Mac App Store is that it is a bit more intuitive than some think. I have moved certain apps that to me are utilities to the Apps/Utilities folder. The Mac App Store realizes that they are there and has updated them there. Even if the app did not originally come through the Mac App Store.
For example, I had an older version of Text Wrangler than the version in the MAS. Text Wrangler was in my Apps/Utilities folder. When I "purchased" it from the MAS the MAS downloaded it and installed it in the Apps/Utilities folder in place of the previous version.

Packet drop when clients moving from one Access point to another

I am new to wireless . I am using WS-SVC-WISM-1-K9 wism module and using 5 Access points . When my clients are moving from one access point to another we are getting packet drops .
Kindly anyone suggest me what all configuration i need to verify on the controller for Proper client roaming so that i can resolve my issues..

For radius authenticated SSIDs, you need WPA2-aes or wpa1-tkip-CCKM. It depends on what the client supports.
For pre-shared key, any WPA should be decent enough for roaming speed.
If you're on WEP ... no comment.
If you covered the above point, check if it's not a coverage problem. If the 2 APs coverage zone are not overlapping there will be a hole where you don't have signal and logically will have packet drops.

Template parts are moving

I currently have a web design course. The teacher asked us to make a website for a company called "MAT-S" (it doesn't exist). I've done all the work. I used a template for almost all my pages. Today I was testing my website and I saw that my logo and my menu bar are moving from one page to another. This is really strange because they are in the template. Also, when I worked on the template, I always updated the html files. I really need your help because I just can't find the problem.

Just because you are using a template for this site, your layout is no more 'stable' than it would be without the templates. Bad code is bad code and can affect the layout on each page differently. Do you have any of these pages uploaded to a public server so that we can see things happen on a live site?
