GRAPHICS CARD: detected AMD 11.1 drivers, please upgrade to 11.7 ERROR!. APPLE BOOTCAMP.

Hello folks I'm a gamer and recently I had bought BF3 when I try to launch the application it says:
"Detected AMD Radeon driver version 11.1. The recommended driver version is 11.7. Please update drivers at http://www.amd.com/ before playing this game."
So I, "try," updating the drivers
1. AMD.com
2. Clicked on Support & Drivers.
3. Component Category: MAC Graphics, Product Line: Apple Boot Camp, Product Model: MacBook Pro, Operating System: Windows 7 - 64 Bit
4. Then I click on View Results and it takes me here:http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/bootcamp-win7.aspx
5. There's only one result, version #8.812. ( Which is the version I already have; 11.1 )
So I try re-downloading that, installing it, it tells me it installed fine, but when I try to run the game it gives me the same error, as it's still 11.1. What can I do? Thanks.
P.S. I know there are a bunch of threads around here like this, thing is none of them really have any solutions.
Extra info: It's MacBookPro 15 in.
I have even tried going to control panel > Adjust Screen Resolution > Advance settings> properties > Drivers > Update Drivers > Search online for software > and it comes out that I'm completely up to date on my AMD Radeon HD6770M. I think it's something with bootcamp maybe they need an update or something. Please leave your solutions below. I will try anything at this point.

Very easy soluion

This will guide you how to do it, should take you 5-10 minutes to update.
NOTE
Dont update the drivers by running the installer, just open 'start' > my computer (right click > manage) > device manager > select GPU > right click properties > update drivers, select drivers from location then select the driver folder you just downloaded
This will allow you to update.

Can anyone please help me with this error: "Apple application support was not found... Error 2"
I've followed the instructions by removing all Apple files from my laptop, but when I reinstall the iTunes software it still comes up with this message:
"Apple application support is required to run iTunesHelper. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2"
    Thank you

iTunes "Apple Application Support is required... Error 2" and possible fix.
I know this is a bit late but I came accross this thread trying to resolve this same problem and came up with a solution that worked for me, so thought I would share it here too. I hope it helps someone else.
I just resolved this on Win Vista (should apply equally for Win7 too). Please uninstall iTunes before proceeding though. I'll walk you through the process I followed, if you like you can jump straight to the Solution section.
    Problems:
The initial error during the installation of iTunes was:
An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32",publicKeyToken='1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b",processorarchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x8007054F
The error (after installing iTunes) when trying to run iTunes was:
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2).
After trying various fixes around the forums I came across this MSKB article, which relates to the first installation error:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2688946
This lead me to trying to install MS Visual C++ but I received the following error trying to install that:

Through this error I found this MSKB article:

The Automated MS "Fix It" msi package didn’t work.
Note: Please backup your registry first (see the above MSKB article for instructions).

  • Graphic card problems - AMD Fire Pro M5100 in AutoCAD and Intel 4600 in Windows applications

    Hello,
I have some serious problems with graphic cards in my laptop. All newest drivers are downloaded and installed from HP site.
First problem is related to rendering some applications. Some GUI elements have horizontal stripes. This can be observed also in HP Support Assistant app. The problem is visible in screenshot. If I disable hybrid mode in BIOS, then the problem disappears.
The second problem is related to AutoCAD 2015. Some of the GUI elements are not rendered correctly. But that does not bother me that much, a bigger problem is related to hardware acceleration. AutoCAD successfully detect my graphic card (AMD Fire Pro M5100), but when I switch on the hardware acceleration mode everything starts to work very slowly. It is impossible to work with some larger documents. If I disable hardware acceleration, everything works very smoothly.
I do not believe that this graphic card does not have the power to work with basic CAD drawing. On AutoCAD forum I received information that this is probably related to bad drivers.
Can anybody help me? This laptop has been recommended to me for CAD work and I am a bit dissapointed. But I am sure that this can be fixed.
    AMD drivers: 14.301.1003.1003-141203a-178403C-HP
Intel drivers: 10.18.10.3871 (I have also tried the newest ones, 10.18.10.3995 - no difference)

From this link, some people have found success by downgrading their graphics driver to an previous version.  Looks like there are a few peole experiencing issues with AutoDesk products and this card - you might also try to contact AutoDesk directly and ask if they have a certified driver for your card.
Incidentally, I have the same card, though I am experiencing a different problem. I swapped in a dell version of the card into my HP machine, but now realize that I need the HP VBIOS instead of the Dell to get it to run.
If my answer helped you and you have a spare minute or two, I would be very grateful if you'd share a copy of your (hp-specific) VBIOS from your card?
If so, download GPU-Z, start it and hit, "Save to file..." to save the .rom for your card.  Attach file to resonse to share.
Best of luck in  sorting out the performance issues. I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that Autodesk uses DirectX more where Firepro's emphasize Opengl performance. Hopefully one of these driver fixes will make a difference.

    Hi,
I ran a simulator for the Dragon Age: Inquisition and the processor and memory in your HP 500-223w meet or exceed the recommended requirements. However, the video in your PC doesn't meet the recommended level even at 1024 by 768 resolution.  The NVIDIA 750 would also not meet the recommended requirements even at 1024 by 768 resolution.
The power supply will need to be replaced to support a graphics card that will meet the recommended requirements.
The Corsair CX600 would be an excellent choice as it matches up the existing HP power supply dimensions. $65
The AMD R9 270 would exceed the recommeded requirements for Dragon Age: Inquisition. These are on sale from $100 and up.  Do some measuring inside yiour PC.  This Sapphire R9 270 model would be a good choice at $130 afer rebate

I already tried updating the drivers, but it didn't change much.
Does anyone know a solution? Thanks in advanced.
Personal thoughts on why I think it's this way:
I think it's really bad running games because of the integrated graphics card, but one can't be too sure.
If I can't fix it this way, is there a way I can upgrade the graphics card?
Or do I just return it instead?
Wondering if I can upgrade to a 8750m Graphics card? Is it possible? If so where do I purchase one? If I can't, Is there a way I can upgrade to a new graphics card? Or do I jut return the product?

    Here is the manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04310036.pdf
You have to change the whole motherboard for that.
Your graphic card in internal: integrated onto the board.
Also the processor you're having is the top one possible from AMD for this laptop & the graphic card associated with is limited to Radeon R5.
    Hope this resolves your concern,

  • P6310y Graphics Card Update - What I bought as an upgrade

    p6310y Graphics Card Update
    Hi Everyone!
I wanted to give back to the community on this one since I got such great support when I asked.  I am a casual gamer, and do a little video work from time to time.  Byeond that, this PC is used for web surfing, email, documents, etc.      I was considering upgrading my graphcs card, which I had already upgraded to the  XFX ATI 4350 1GB several years ago.   When I posted the question, Big Dave was especially helpful and suggested that I look at the MSI nVidia N750 TI or TF.   They both looked like great choices, but were both north of $100 which I had set as a limit.  ( At some point, you just have to consider upgrading the desktop )   I went to my local Tiger Direct and found what has turned out to be a great solution!  I bought a Zotac nVidia GeForce GT 730 2 GB. ( Zotac GT730 LP 2GB 64 bit DDR3 )    I used the FireStorm software ( included with the card ) to overclock it just a little, and it has turned out to be great!   It was about $75, and has allowed me to play World of Tanks with much higher settings while maintaining good FPS ( frames per second ).
I hope that helps some of you that are still using this quite capable desktop if you are looking for an upgrade.

I don't know if it is my BIOS or my motherboard or what... it would be greatly appreciated if someone could please help me and tell me if something is wrong or what i need to do or change in order for it to work.

    Hi,
Apply the latest BIOS updates that are posted for your PC.  It describes a black screen condition. Version 8.19 includes the 8.18 fixes. You will need to disable Secure Boot.
In addition, review the below post HP articles.

  • Incorrect graphics card info. with regards to win 10 upgrade

Hi trying to register for win 10 upgrade, m/c has radeon hd 3400 card, this shows in device manager, and on specs shown by HP support assistant. Hi: If you are willing to roll the dice, see if this works... Try the direct download and immediate upgrade method. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 I would think that you can use the W7 32bit nForce 430 chipset driver, that it might work. You may have to manually install the driver if the auto install method doesn't work. W7 32 bit chipset driver... http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/14874/en-us While I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I can almost guarantee you that no one is going to develop W8.1 or W10 drivers for that chipset or graphics adapter. You would have to roll back to W7 if the above suggestion doesn't work. Here's how to roll back... http://www.askvg.com/how-to-restore-previous-windows-version-after-upgrading-to-windows-10/

  • Can graphic card on Satellite A100-386 be replaced/upgraded?

    Hi all,
Having probably heat problem with my satellite a100, I ran to the point were the screen remains dark and ... no boot at all !
All was cleaned inside for the dust, thermal pate applied on the three places needed.
Some months ago, I put 2 RAM at 2Go to boost it a bit : it was fine till some days with instant shuts down after about an hour to the great end : no more boot with no bip, nothing on except the fan and the led power.
Opening it, I saw the thing near the fan that could be the video card which seems to be removable, pretty rare isn't it ?
If it's really remplaceable, do I have to find the exact same, nvidia geforce Go 7300 Tc, said on specs, or is there the possibility to put there a better card ?
As far as I know, one does not reserve an emplacement for a removeable part if there is no way with the others parts of the computer to change it (compatibility), unless it's for cost reasons...
    Thanks for help

    Thanks guys,
What about the probability to have an answer from the "official" repair service of toshiba as there's no more guarantee and the product discontinued ?
I found a card on ebay and on an another site, the possibility stands there, if needed !
I also was surprised with the no bip, and what do you mean by "it sounds as BIOS problem" ? motherboard dead ?
How to access to BIOS without screen ?
Can I try to power on with the gpu removed to test if bips come without crashing the motherboard ?
I apologize for my english french-thinked before written, due to the lack of practice !!
Is there a way to ensure which one, from the motherboard or the gpu is dead ?
HDD was tested several times on other computers and is ok, same for the RAM.
Could removing the CMOS-battery for some times can be helpful, in the case of gpu not faulty ?

  • Windows 7 can't recognize my AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB graphics card

    Hey community -
I am having issues running Star Wars the Old Republic on my brand new iMac desktop with Windows 7 installed. I am getting an error message that is associated with the fact that WINDOWS 7 will NOT recognize my AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB graphics card. Under the displays/drivers it's showing up as standard VGA graphics, which won't cut it.
I was recently having an issue missing drivers for my network card, which I fixed by going back through bootcamp and using a startup disk with all the drivers I needed.
HOW do I get Windows 7 to pickup/detect my Radeon? Help!
    -Monty

You can install the AMD HD RADION Mobile drivers which work from.
If your Graphics card number ends in M
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx#2
This also depends on if you installed 32bit windows or 64 bit. you will need the 32bit drivers if installed 32 bit windows.
Download the full package under individual downloads.
But before you install the amd drivers you may  need to install the boot camp drivers again, which include the motherboard drivers, sound, usb, etc etc etc.

  • Sims 3 HELP (video graphics card)

Okay so I play the Sims 3 for around an hour and then all of a sudden the screen freezes up and after a minute or two the game closes and when I try to restart the game a message appears that says:
    Unable to start game.
Device 0 cannot run this title. No supported video graphics card detected. Please check your system hardware.
So apparently I need a video graphics card? Any suggestions on which one?

I have the same problem.  Here's what I posted on the official Sims 3 forum:
When trying to start the game, I get this error message:
    Unable to start game.
Device 0 cannot run this title.
No supported video graphics card detected. Please check your system hardware.
This error just started popping up yesterday. I played all day before I started getting it. I have NVIDIA GeForce 88oo GTS 512s in there, and have no problem playing graphics intensive games. It's pretty funny that I can play Far Cry 2 with the settings maxed out but not Sims 3.
I have seen people mention this error on various other forums around the web, but no one seems to have an answer. I've reinstalled the game, graphics card drivers, and Windows itself trying to fix this. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
I see a few other people have had this problem but haven't seen any answers yet.

  • Can i replace a graphics card on a compaq 6910p

I bought a used Compaq 6910p formy daughter that uses the Vista OS.  We have digitally installed the Sims 3 game, but can't seem torun it.  Every time we start to run the gameit givesus the following error message:
    Unable to Start game.
    Device0 cannot run this title.
No supported video graphics card detected.  Please check your system hardware.
I believe my notebook has a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, so was wondering if I can update that driver so the Sims 3 game can be played on this notebook? I have reserched numerous websites with no luck finding a solution.  Can anyone recommend a plan of attack on what I should do?
    Thanks!
    RCB1968

That's quite an old notebook and I believe there is nothing that can be done to improve it's performance to play the Simpson's game.
The other problem that you may face is that you're running Vista on a machine that was meant for Windows 2000 and it simply can't handle that OS and there may not be a compatible driver for it.
You can try this though, go to Intel and run the driver finder and see if it can find a newer driver that may help.
     http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_spotlight_dctop10
This assumes you're running an Intel video card. I could not find you specs, so the other card you may have is
     ATI.
     http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
ATI also has an application to automatically find the correct driver. It's at the top of the list in "Green"
