Graphics disappearing when publishing to Presenter

Help! In Powerpoint the graphics show up fine but when I
publish some of them end up not showing up at all. I have no idea
why this is happening. I'm not creating the presentations, I get
them from my clients. I'm using Powerpoint 2007, and presenter plug
in 6.

Hi,
The site seems to be working fine on my end. Please refer to the following screenshot :

  • Shadow on slideshow box disappearing when published or in preview

    Hi.  I have a shadow on slideshow box and it disappears when I preview it.  Does anyone know why this happens?  You can preview my site that's under construction here:http://engagingfans.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
    thanks!

    After exchanges with Liz in the Typekit support team that suggested the text was displaying correctly according to the CSS defined in the published site, I think this problem relates to Muse CC 2014 Paragraph Styles.   Either I inadvertently used a style definition that BC overrode (I don't think this is possible) or there might be a bug in Muse.
    Basically, the affected text used a Muse Paragraph Style called "Content Headline" which was defined using Open Sans Regular.  For this particular instance I changed the paragraph text formatting to use Open Sans Light instead.  So in Muse terminology, the Paragraph Style for the paragraph appeared as "Content Headline+" with the changed font listed as the modification.  It appears that for whatever reason this modification is not picked-up when the site was published on BC and the CSS entries created.
    I then created a new Muse Paragraph Style called "Headline - Page Intro" using the Light version of the font; so this was part of the default style definition  Applied it to the paragraph and re-published.  Problem solved as far as I can tell.
    It will be interesting to see if this is confirmed by Adobe support.

  • Graphics disappear when converting from Word .docx to pdf

    Several kinds of graphics disappear upon conversion, including pieces of drawings, equations, and details in Excel charts. Is there a way to retain all graphics upon conversion?

    Thanks for the reply, Bill. I am using Word 2007 to do the converting using a menu item that provides the capability. I tried to use Acrobat Professional 9.1.0 to create the pdf, but got a security error that I don't know how to address... saying the security settings on the program that created the file are set too high. I can't see what they are (in Word) or how to change them. This may be a separate thread, but I thought I'd mention it.

  • ComboBox prompt disappears when published to HTML

    I am creating a form which contains four ComboBox components. I have defined the "prompt" property for each of these ComboBox components using the Component Inspector. The only real difference between these four ComboBox components is how their dataProvider property is defined.
    Two of these components use DataProvider objects which I have defined using Actionscript. I defined the dataProvider property for the other two ComboBox components using the Component Inspector.
    My problem is that when I publish the Flash movie to HTML, the prompts disappears for the two ComboBoxes whose dataProviders I defined using Actionscript. The prompt remains visible for the two ComboBoxes whose dataProvider property I defined in the Component Inspector. I should also mention that prompts for all four ComboBoxes appears just fine when I just publish to Flash.
    I have tried correcting this by setting the "prompt" property using Actionscript but the result is the same.
    Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how this may be corrected

    I finally found a solution to my problem, however, I am not entirely sure I understand why the problem is there in the first place.
    One of the things I did not mention in my original post, is that the DataProvider objects for the ComboBoxes are populated with XML from an external file which I am loading via a URLLoader object.
    I originally had set the style of the ComboBox components within the same function that I am using to load the XML (I have called this function "init"). When the XML is loaded, I call another function to populate the DataProvider object for the ComboBoxes with XML. For some reason, I have to set the style of the ComboBox components again within that function otherwise it is as if there were no styles applied. The following code demonstrates my problem. I added in the timer function just to help demonstrate the issue, namely that the style set in the init function only applies until the DataProvider object is created and assigned to the ComboBox.
    import fl.data.DataProvider;
    var cbTextFormat:TextFormat;
    var xmlStatesLoader:URLLoader;
    var xmlStates:XML;
    var dpStates:DataProvider;
    function init():void {
    //load data for states selection list
    xmlStatesLoader = new URLLoader();
    xmlStatesLoader.load(new URLRequest("states.xml"));
    xmlStatesLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onComplete);
    xmlStatesLoader.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, errorHandler);
    //set the text format for ComboBox text fields
    cbTextFormat = new TextFormat();
    cbTextFormat.color = 0x0000FF;
    cbTextFormat.font = "Arial";
    //set style for cbOne ComboBox
    cbOne.textField.setStyle("textFormat", cbTextFormat);
    cbOne.textField.setStyle("embedFonts", true);
    function onComplete(e:Event):void {
    //notice that the prompt is displayed until the timer runs out and the onTimerComplete function is called
    var myTimer:Timer = new Timer(1000, 3);
    myTimer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER_COMPLETE, onTimerComplete);
    myTimer.start();
    function onTimerComplete(e:TimerEvent):void {
    xmlStates = new XML(xmlStatesLoader.data);
    dpStates = new DataProvider(xmlStates);
    cbOne.dataProvider = dpStates;
    cbOne.prompt = "Loaded";
    //uncomment the following lines to fix error
    //cbOne.textField.setStyle("textFormat", cbTextFormat);
    //cbOne.textField.setStyle("embedFonts", true);
    function errorHandler(e:IOErrorEvent):void {
    trace("XML Loading Error: " + e);
    init();

  • Help me - imported captions disappear when published!

    Help! I published my Captivate movie as an .exe file.
    To create it, I had imported several slides from two other
    Captivate files. Both of these files run fine. I imported the
    slides and objects, and everything shows up in the "final" .cp
    file. However, after I saved it, and upon publishing it, NONE of
    the captions appear!
    They are in the .cp file - I swear! I tried manipulating them
    to the front, I checked the timing of my buttons - nothing. I even
    tried just importing the objects from the files all over again. The
    graphics import fine, but again, my captions don't appear, even
    though they show up in the .cp file!
    What's going on????

  • Photo Albums & Photos Disappear when publishing using ftp

    Hi,
    I am having trouble with both my iweb sites photos. There is two main problems:
    1. An album that appears normally in iweb is not visable on the published site
    2. An album will have random photos that are missing and replaced with a blank on the published site
    Some things I have tried:
    - I publish via ftp, so I tried publishing to a local folder - The albums and photos work normally
    - I tried republishing with a 3rd party cyperduck - same problem
    - I thought maybe it was therefore a ftp problem. So I logged in to my hostings file manager and check if the files are actually on the server -  but they are..
    - I tried republishing the entire site - same problem
    An example can be seen on the following - the third album is completely missing and if you go into the other albums, there will be random gaps where other photos are missing.
    http://www.gippmed.com/My_Albums/My_Albums.html
    Similar problem on this site, on the USA album, there is two photos missing towards the bottom:
    http://www.lukecainshooting.com/Luke_Cain/Photo_Gallery/Pages/USA.html
    Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi Cyclosaurus,
    Thank you for your reply. Sorry to bug you again but can I ask some further questions? Pls excuse my lack of knowledge on these things.
    In relation to your points:
    1) In the ftp publishing settings, public_html is acutal in where it says "site name", where it says "URL" I have http://www.gippmed.com. I was advised to put public_html in "site name" from my hosting. If I put anything else it publishes the entire site to a folder with that name on the server and is not viewable online?
    2) I have removed the spaces in the album page name and will reupload soon. In relation to the image file names, am I correct in saying that iweb is naming them from the captions? Do you really have to use one word captions or use underscores, it looks a little odd? I have read troubleshooting articles about iweb and spaces and it also recommends similar as you are, suggesting that all page names should have underscore instead of spaces. Problem is, if for example I change the page name "About Me" to "About_Me" iweb automatically changes it in the navigation menu and this looks silly to have undescores in the Nav Menu. Is there a way around this?
    Lastly, a new problem that I have never had before:
    Previously, iweb would remember what I had published and only publish new site changes. Now, every time I turn my computer off and on, I open iweb and it doesn't recognise any of the previous publishing, ie it republishes the entire site.
    Thank you again for your help

  • FrameMaker 11 omits embedded pictures when publishing to epub 3

    I am trying to publish a book containing multiple embedded pictures to epub 3, but for some reason the FrameMaker 11 omits the pictures when running the publish script. The pictures also disappear when publishing to html help, but not when merely publishing to pdf. What may be wrong?
    I am running TC4 on win64 with everything updated

    What's the graphics file format of the imported image files?
    What conversion have you specified for the output, assuming that ePub workflow is similar to XML and HTML, where image destruction is controlled by:
    File > Utilities > HTML Setup
    [ Options \... ]
    File Format for Images:
    (_) GIF  (_) JPEG  (_) PNG
    {any new choices in FM11?}
    And since FM converts image formats for some workflows, those files have to reside somewhere, so access and permission problems could arise.

  • CS5 - Graphic with feathered edge disappears when exported to PDF

    I just ran into an odd problem, and unfortunately the book got printed before we saw the problem … ugh!
    I set up a chapter header for a book. It was a graphic of wood to which I added a 0p9 feathered edge. In a text box on top of this, I put the chapter name in white type. They were both on the same layer, but the text box was on top.
    I didn't notice at the time that when I exported the page to PDF, the graphic disappeared … and since the type was white, the whole chapter header was invisible. If I opened the PDF in Acrobat Pro using Pitstop, I could select a box where it was supposed to be, but couldn't make it show up.
    I tried creating another layer and moving the text up to that; no good. The only way I was eventually able to make that darn wood graphic show up on the PDF was if I shut off the feathered edge.
    Now I know I've used a feathered edge frequently, and have never run into this problem before. Does anyone have any idea why this time should be any different? There's was no color other than black, only one layer, and nothing was set to non-printing. I used the same export settings I always use. Stumped here … and very unhappy that we missed it and printed the book without the headers (my fault for not catching it, but doesn't make me any happier).
    Specs:
    Mac OS 10.5.8
    InDesign CS5 (version 7.0)
    Export setting - set to print to Acrobat 8/9 compatibility (PDF 1.7) with crop marks on
    Hoping someone has some insight here. It's too late for the current job, but I'd like to know why it did it so I can avoid the problem in the future.

    Hi John,
    My InDesign files are too big to upload anywhere, but these two screen shots show an example of this problem.
    This is how the spread looks in InDesign (link and effect info for right image shown):
    ... and this is how the exported PDF spread looks (normal "Press Quality" export setting):
    As you can see, several, but not all, objects with transparent effects have disappeared.

  • Video playback issue for Adobe Presenter 9 when publishing to Adobe Connect Pro 7

    Hello!
    I am having an issue with video playback for Adobe Presenter 9. When I preview the presentation on my computer there are no issues with any of the MP4 videos that I have loaded into my presentations. However, when I publish the presentation to Adobe Connect and access the URL the videos are either delayed or do not appear at all.  We are using our own Adobe server which we purchased in 2008, along with Adobe Connect Pro 7. We recently updated our Adobe Presenter software to version 9. Is there an incompatibility issue between Adobe Presenter 9 and our current Adobe Server/current version of Adobe Connect? Or do I need to do something different in Adobe Presenter when importing the videos?  Note: I have tried FLV videos and had the same issue.
    We are trying to launch of series of webinars (each webinar has between 15-42 slides), which was the whole purpose of updating our Adobe Presenter and Adobe Captivate software....hopefully we can resolve this video issue.
    Thanks!
    Dana

    Connect 7 didn't support MP4 video content, as I recall. Another issue is that Connect rooms are using Action Script 2 (AS2) while Presenter 9 uses AS3, and the two code languages don't play well together. You don't mention if you are using the meeting application to display the presentation, but it is worth mentioning. If the presentations are stand alone, then the AS3 issue should be non-existent, but the MP4 support may be.
    Is there a reason you haven't updated the Connect software to Connect 9 (or at least Connect 8.1 where the Connect application became AS3 as a whole and supported MP4 content)?

  • Using Adobe Presenter 7 when published to PDF video files do not play just a blank page, any ideas?

    Using Adobe Presenter 7 when published to PDF video files do not just a blank page, any ideas? I am using office 2010 and Adobe Acrobat 9 on my PC any suggestions would be very helpful as the audio and slides work fine though no SWF files work just a blank white screen
    Thanks

    The problem seems to be with Acrobat 9. Can you share any such pdf generated from presenter at [email protected]
    Alternatively, you can try to download Adobe Reader 10 http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=JZEFU and try to view the published output usingthe same.

  • Report works fine in VS2010 but simply doesn't show when published

    Problem:
    Crystal Report works fine in VS 2010 but doesn't show when published to web-server, there is no error, it simply doesn't show.
    Background:
    Installed VS2010 on a freshly installed and fully updated (.net 4.0 is included in the updates) windows server 2003 box with production release Crystal Report 2010. Nothing else is on the server.  IIS 6 is running.  My web-server and VS2010 is on the same box.
    I went ahead and created a new asp.net 4.0 web project called webapplication1. Thereafter, i put a few controls (text-boxes, list-boxes and so on)  on the default.aspx page. Then i created a report.aspx page. This page will have the crystal report viewer on it. I went ahead and set the report up without much hassle (got how-to's from the internet).  I successfully tested my web app with the built-in testing server, the beautiful crystal report presented exactly what i asked it to. There was one recurring "Sys.Application is null or not an object" hiccup that occured every time during testing when i navigated from the default.aspx page to the report.aspx page (the page the report is on). Clicking ignore or continue  on the dialogue box that comes up because of the hiccup will allow testing to continue.  Here's a screen-shot of this recurring hiccup.
    http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/Testing-Error.jpg
    As i've shown, testing went great, except for the hiccup. I now moved to setup a publish profile. Since my web-server and VS2010 is on the same box this seemed relatively straight forward. All the files went over except the report, i.e. crystalreport1.rpt  file. I solved this by  setting the build action to 'Content' in the CrystalReport1.rpt properties. I did a republish. Now i have all my files, see screenshot: [http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/Application-Home-Directory.jpg], on the web-server.
    I proceeded to try to browse to my app from another computer on my network. This was successful until i tried to navigate to the report.aspx page that the crystal report is on. The the report.aspx page loaded but the crystal report was simply not on it. No errors, not even the hiccup from testing occured. Its as if the crystal report viewer was never on the page to begin with. Only when i right clicked on the page and 'view source'  did i see some remnants of the crystal report viewer.
    Here is the Report.aspx page when tested in VS2010:
    [http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/successful-Test.jpg|http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/successful-Test.jpg]
    Here is the Report.aspx page when published to the web-server and browsed to from another computer on the network:
    [http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/Reportviewer-Disappear.jpg|http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/Reportviewer-Disappear.jpg]
    Details of adding report to my web app:
    1) Populate my dataset then write the XML schema, reportschema.xml
    2) Added the crystal Report to the project then used the wizard to navigate to the reportschema.xml. Of course i had to create new connection in Database expert. see screen-shot:
    [http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/CR-Database-Expert.jpg|http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/CR-Database-Expert.jpg]
    3) I formatted the report the way i wanted it
    4) Added the Crystal report viewer on the Report.aspx page
    5) In the code-behind of the Report.aspx page i bound the viewer to a report document that is loaded with CrystalReport1.rpt file
    see screenshot: [http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq122/ricom_19/Report-Page-Code-behind.jpg]
    That's it.  As mentioned, it tested fine in VS2010 but the viewer doesn't show when i publish to the webserver. I wrote a crystal report in .net about 8 years ago. Things have changed soooo much since then.
    I am wondering if its a license issue? Was also wondering if it had anything to do the testing hiccup, even though research is suggestion the two are unrelated.
    I've described my actions as best as i could (without getting into ridiculous detail) and have included screen-shots of relevant stages of the process. Have a look and tell me your thoughts. Thanks.

    The "Sys.Application is null or not an object" issue is known, submitted for a resolution and documented in KB #1528503. Unfortunately the KB search has been down the last couple of days...
    However, the issue is limited to compile time and does not affect a completed application.
    Re. the viewer missing. Sounds like the viewer directory did not get created or configure correctly. Before I get to that. You mention:
    "I proceeded to try to browse to my app from another computer on my network."
    This bring up the question: If you run the app right on the app server. e.g.; not a client computer, does the viewer and report come up? Is this issue isolated to client computers on the network?
    I suspect that the issue exists irrespective of which computer you try to see the report from - but that is an assumption. If the assumption is correct, see [this|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50aa68c0-82dd-2b10-42bf-e5502b45cd3a] article on configuring the viewer. The article does not have CR4VS2010 documented, but you should be able to guide your self using the article. I think the pattern will be obvious.

  • Trouble publishing a Presenter screen recording

    I'm hoping this screen capture (which appears when I try to publish a Presenter video recording) is familiar to someone...
    The recording is pretty straightforward, just me talking over a PPT preso, with cutaways between screen, video, and split screen a la Dr. Partridge's videos on the subject.
    I am running on a MacBook Air, Win7, Presenter 8.01 build 260, PPT 2010 and enough resources to run all other Adobe s/w, including Tech Comm Suite, with complex FrameMaker DITA to RoboHelp to EPUB output.
    Any ideas on what might be hanging up my publishing?

    Hi,
    Majoirity of such type of problems arise from outdated video/graphics card driver.
    Please follow this checklist before recording any new video :-
    Are your video card driver is up to date? Please check whether you have the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
    Are all unnecessary applications closed?
    Do you have sufficient free space on your hard disk? At least 5 GB is needed, but around 15 GB is recommended.
    Are your webcam drivers up to date? It is recommended to install the webcam driver from the webcam cd or the webcam companys site.
    Are you capturing your video in a well-lit environment? Most webcams perform poorly in bad lighting.
    Follow these steps to find your graphics card :
    Press (windows key + R) > type dxdiag and hit enter > go to Display tab of the window.
    Thanks,
    Vikram

  • Kerberos double hop works internally, but not when published via TMG

    Hi all,
              Have 2 x IIS 8.5 servers internally with .net applications on them
    The IIS servers have been configured to use a domain account for their apppool... and credentials are pass successfully from the front end server to the back end server.
    When publishing the front-end server via TMG, the front-end web pages show up fine, but the delegated credentials aren't passed to the "back end" pages and a 401 - unauthorised error is presented.
    The TMG computer account has the front end and back end http SPN's defined for delegation in its AD account properties.
    Is this expected ? is this a limitation of TMG ? or have I simply done something incorrect ?
