Graphics distortion when exporting web captures

Hello,
I've captured some flash animation on the web using Snaps Pro X and I need to edit them in Final Cut and export them as quicktime files. I'm capturing them as animation files, and they look great, but when I export them to quicktimes, large sections of the flash graphics are breaking up/pixelating and disappearing. I've tried exporting them back to animation files and using the H.264 codec, but I get the same thing every time. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.  To clarify, it is not the screen, it is the content of the application's window, and if you don't have images blocked for this message board, you can see in the screen grab of the Skype window -- which is not a browser at all -- how the content of the window have been compressed horizontally, leaving a black area on the right side, and further, the content now has vertical bands running through it.  With respect to mouse movement, yes, when I mouseover the window's contents, it is compressed, and when I mouse out it uncompresses, so if I want to click a button, I have to look at where the button is when uncompressed, and then mouse to those coordinates even though the button is no longer in that location once the mouse is over the window contents.
One of the stickers that came attached to the system when I bought it new says "NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M graphics" and "HP Pavilion dv9610us Notebook PC".
The System item in the control panel says the Model is a HP Pavilion dv9500 Notebook PC; the Processor is an AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58 1.90 GHz; and the  Windows edition is Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1.

  • Missing data when exporting webi to excel (not 65536 limit problem)

    Hi guys
I just meet a problem about webi that it will miss data when exporting webi to excel.
It's not about 65536 limitation, as my webi report do some aggregration and limitation and never beyond that limitation.
Also there are 2 tabs in my reports, if I split the 2 tabs into 2 separate reports and export them separately, then problem disappeared.
    Any ideas on this?

Table EST07 should be part of export file. I am not sure if the packing requirement ist part of EST07.
Furthermore wirh ECC 6.0 EnhPAck3 some changes happend generally in the area of DG classification.
E.g. Dynamic dangerous goods classification. I am not sure if these changes are "included" in some sense in the EH&S data download.

  • Repeating row texts when exporting web report to Excel

    Dear all,
When exporting a web report (including a structure/hierarchy) to Excel (via the 'export to excel button), the row texts (e.g. balance sheet texts) appear twice (column A and B)in the Excel result.
When using the web context menu 'Export to Excel' this issue does not occur.
I am using a BW 3.5 system which has been upgraded to support pack 16.
I assume it is the combination of the structure and the 'export to excel' functionality that does not match up, because when I switch off the hierarchy functionality in the web report query properties, the export to excel does not give me any problems.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Arjan.

Did you write that software, COTS package called Medgate?
If not then ask that company for support. No one here would know how to fix it. They are using the CR RDC report engine.
    Thank you
    Don

  • Image distortion when exporting

    Hi all,
I'm experiencing off and on problems when exporting RAW images from LR 3.3 to JPG. (on MacBook Pro Snow leopard 10.6.6)
I am using Camera Raw 6.3.
Original RAW images taken with Canon 550D.
    This is what happens:
    Original                                                                                           Result
It doesn't matter if I resize or not, change quality of the JPG, sharpen or not, whatever.
11 out of 140 images go wrong, the others are exported ok. Not every 11th image either.
Exporting 1 by 1 no difference.
What's wrong here? Has anybody had this before?
Maybe connected: I have taken a lot of pictures of an ice hockey game some time ago. During import I've seen that some of the images imported had a similar problem. During importing I first saw a normal image, but it was changed to something simular at the end. I thought that was the memory card, as I was shooting multiple shots, low light, high iso.
    Thanks in advance
    gr. Paul

In addition: I just switched in LR from "library" to "develop" and the image on screen switched from the before and after image in the original post!
I have edited this picture before in LR, have cut the paiting out of it's environment, no other corrections. Probably I edited this one with an earlier version of LR.
Changed to original image, only the crop boundaries disappear, same crazy image...
And now in the library too, of course.
Is it possible that when you copy pictures from one drive to another that RAW files get damaged?
As in copy from camera to diskdrive (import LR) or from internal drive to external drive (as I did from Finder)?

  • Distorted when exported

I am designing version 2.0 of my website, I decided to use a
flash header. Everything is fine while viewing the movie in the
Flash editor, and while running it on the timeline, but as soon as
you test movie, or export/publish it; I get a 1 pixel distorted
line going through the left hand side of the header. I have put
JPEG quality up to 100% and everything is set to BEST. when at the
site, if you zoom into the distorted area the distortion goes away.
any help is appreciated. I am using Flash MX Version: 6.0

  • Audio Distortion when Exporting to DV-Cam

I'm having a strange problem on my G5 Dual 2.0 PowerMac.
I am trying to export a video from the timeline to my DSR-20 DV-Cam deck using Firewire.
I can capture from the deck no problem. But when I try to go from the computer to the deck, it gives a loud distorted noise on the deck and the audio levels on the DSR are solid-maxed.
What can be causing this ? Seems odd that it works fine from the deck to the computer....but not the other way around.
    Solution ???

How does it sound when you just playback the Timeline? If that works OK, have you tried recording on the DSR-20 during Timeline playback? Or are you only using the Print to Video command?
If Timeline playback also has the problem, try exporting a self-contained movie from FCP, then import that file into a new project - then try recording on the DSR-20 again.

  • Graphic distortion when switching between external and built-in display (rMBP)

Recently (within the past two weeks or so) I've noticed a strange issue when switching between my external display (Thunderbolt) and my built-in display on my 15" rMBP. The following issue seems to be specific to Photoshop CS6.
Typically, I'll have a PS document open on my external display and I'll wind up taking my to another location. If I close the PS document while on my built-in and then re-open it, I get all kinds of distortion and pixellation. Closing out PS and reopining, restarting, logging on/off; none of it seems to work. It seems like the issue is with the PSD itself, but it doesn't make any sense to me. Any ideas? Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/iCipSc7.jpg

Do you have intel gpy as well as other graphic card?  You may be viewing document on different gpu's.  PS does not like multiple gpu's.

  • Distortion when exporting

I recently updated to OS10.6.2, and find that with the new garage band, I can't export songs I create to itunes without them being distorted. They play perfectly in garageband, but no matter what settings for exporting i use, when they play in itunes, they are distorted.
Never had this problem in my old garageband.
    Ideas?

Regardless of enhancements being on or off in itunes, playback is still distorted.

  • Image distortion when exporting MPEG2

    Hello
I am using FCP 4 and exporting a 3min piece of footage using QuickTime Conversion to to DVDSP 3. The piece of footage is quite dark, however when I export it as an MPEG2 to it becomes even darker and the colour is slightly distorted (has a redy hue).
Is there something i can do to stop this, is it something to do with the way I am exporting it?
    Any suggestions welcome

  • Photos Distorted When Exported to iWeb Slideshow

I'm using the button within iPhoto to export a photo album to iWeb and then publish it to a folder that I upload to my web site. Unfortunately, the photos are pixelated in slide show mode. If I click on the photo to get it out of the slide show screen and enlarge it, it looks fine. Are there issues with resizing photos? I typically do 5x7 in iPhoto.
A good example is the middle photo in the second row titled "Hot Bodies". The edges of the white lettering and graphics looks horrible in slideshow.

  • IMovie Audio Distortion (When Exported)

I recently made a video in IMovie, and I am running into some troubles with the audio when i export the video to a quicktime format or when I burn it onto a CD. I preferred using IMovie HD to the version I had upgraded to with iLife '08 so I re-installed IMovie HD - version 6.0.3.  The video is about 40 minutes long and includes both video's from a handheld camera (with sound), still pictures, and music from my iTunes.  The video runs great on iMovie, but when I burnt it to a DVD or when I export it to quicktime, it is distorting about 3 minutes of audio at the beginning of the video.  It sounds like someone sped up the voices, put a mic in a wind tunnel, and made some weird sound effects over the top of the video.  The original audio is still recognizable, but it is greatly masked by this distortion.
The other issue is that when I try to open the .mp4 file created from the "share" function of i-movie, it is giving me an error message that says "An invalid sample description was found in the movie".  I have tried changing the extension to a (.m4v) but had no luck.  When using VLC's video player to open the file however, it worked like a charm and the video displayed just fine (except for the audio distortion as mentioned above).   Has anyone else run into this issue, and if so, do you have any possible solutions? I read somewhere online about separating an ac3 file (I have no idea what that is or how to do it), but I can not find the article again.  Thanks in advance!

    Hi Bob,
    Welcome to iDVD Discussions.
Did you import 16-bit audio from your camcorder?

  • 'Vector' Distortions when exporting to widescreen in AE CS3

    Hi
I'm sure this is probably quite a simple issue, but i am new to AE and cannot find the answer to this anywhere. Basically i am exporting my compositions to use as widescreen for DVD. The exported video footage looks fine but any non-video elements used seem to 'quiver and shake' - examples of this are AE text, imported jpg logos and vector lines created and masked from within AE. I accidentally exported as best settings on one occasion rather than DV - this gave me a 'squarer' video file but it did render the  'distorting elements' perfectly.  This is also the case when i export as a flv. file - wrong proportions but quality render of the 'distorting elements'. As an aside, is it possible to export the composition as a widesceen flv file?
The settings i am using are detailed below (at default settings)
Render setting is DV settings and my chosen outpout module is Microsoft DV PAL 48khz, my composition settings are Preset: PAL D1/DV Widescreen (720 x 576)   PAR: D1/DV PAL Widesceen (1.42) and the Frame Aspect Ratio is 16:9.
As i said i am new to this so it well be that i am not using the best settings for this task.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be given, Tom

Your vector artwork from Illustrator should be interpreted as Square Pixels. It's highly unusual for Vector artwork to be anything else.
Anything you brought in from Photoshop or other image editing program should also be interpreted as Square Pixels unless you specifically created the artwork in Photoshop as non-square using one of the Photoshop Presets.
The composition you set up for rendering should be created using one of the presets. It looks like you're either using NTSC DV Widescreen or NTSC D1 Widescreen. Maybe you're in PAL land and using PAL D1/DV Widescreen. Make sure that you don't resize anything in the Output module.
In the composition window, if you have Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction turned on your footage will appear as it will when you look at on a TV. Nothing will be distorted, but there will be some ugly aliasing artifacts in the comp window because of the onscreen interpolation of the pixels. These artifacts will not show up in your render. If you don't like looking at the aliasing problems then you can turn off PARC in the Composition Panel and put up with the distorted (squeezed) image.
The way you keep things undistorted is to interpret the PAR of each asset in the Project Panel as it actually is and let AE do the PAR management. AE will usually guess correctly with footage (video). It may miss widescreen tags so you'll have to watch for that.
AE will always guess incorrectly for Illustrator or Photoshop artwork that should be square pixels but is created at a standard non-square image size. IOW, if you create artwork that is 720 X 480 pixels it will always be interpreted as NTSC DV pixels. The only time this is correct is when you intentionally create your artwork using this preset. I personally think that this seldom a good idea and only do this on rare occasions.
    I hope this helps.

  • IMovie 10.0.1 audio distorted when exporting

    Hello,
I made a movie in the new imovie. When I exported the video to youtube, the audio sounded all weird in youtube, so I deleted it.
I tried exporting the video as a file to quicktime, same problem, audio was distorted. I read online that in iMovie 11, you had to edit the sound of the video in the advanced settings, such as converting the audio to ACC.
I see NO such advanced setting tab or possible way to convert the audio in the new iMovie. How do I fix this? The video sounds completely fine in iMove10 when I play it, but terrible on youtube and in quicktime.
    Thanks
PS: How do I normalize the audio as well? Again, no option anymore.

Hey did you ever figure this out?  This forum describes how to export the movie to quicktime with special settings and claims that it resolves the issue but my Imovie ('11, version 9.0.9) won't go through the export...I've tried at least 5 times...it starts and says it's going to take about 30 minutes and works for about 10, often as the clock goes up instead of counting down and then the window disappears and nothing has been exported....  I'd love to resolve this issue...it has only been happening to me since I figured out how to ask the audio to duck other tracks and tweak equalizer settings so it's gotta be something to do with the fact that either the equalizer settings confuse youtube it the .mov format it exports in on default settings (without the ACC tweak which I haven't found a way to do yet)...any new guidance? Trying to get this done yesterday!!

  • Choosing the optimum graphics resolution when exporting to epub from ID5

I'm creating a ebook for the iPhone that includes a bunch of images. I'd like some help choosing the correct resolution for those images when they're exported to an epub file.
These images were imported into an ID5 document as EPS files. They are 100% vector-based BW (2 bit) line art.
The Export to ePub dialog box gives me the option of choosing Low, Medium, High and Maximum resolution for bitmpas of the images that ID5 will create during the export process.
Smaller is better from the standpoint of file size and display performance, but I want the images to look sharp.
Which of these options is probably the best for the iPhone?
    Thanks! --Mike

  • Issue with AI Vectors distorting when Exported in Flash CS6

As you can see the illustration seems to work fine in the workspace, but when a exported, i'm getting a weird derfomation around the mouth and the curve at the t-shirt.
    Any clues how to fix?
    Regards

I've got around this issue, by exporting from Ai to SWF. Its a shame the Import Ai to Flash Library seems to be doing this to quite a few of my vector illustrations. where only 1 or 2 curves are being lost when it comes to export but work fine within the Flash workspace.
