Graphics for HP Envy 15 J073cl

I am wanting to upgrade my graphics on my laptop. I have a few questions and need your guys help.
Current stock specs:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03909852&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
AMD Radeon HD 8650G graphics with up to 6252MB total graphics memory.
If I understand correctly the graphics card is in the proccessor itself and not a card  connected to the motherboard. So would I be able to add a card somewhere in the laptop? What does up too 6252MB memory mean? If not, can I change the AMD proccessor to a better one with better graphics. I have built about five desktop pc's so changeing a processor would be something I could figure out. What are my options here?

Hi,
That's correct. The graphics card is embedded in the CPU. The embedded graphics uses the main laptop memory so if you upgrade to the max possible RAM the graphics card will reserve 6252MB for itself and the rest of the memory will be used for the system.
You cannot upgrade this laptop to a dedicated graphics card (use it's own memory nVidia, HD Radeon M..). The dedicated cards are soldered to the motherboard so the only option is to replace the motherboard with a compatible one that has the dedicated graphics card already on board. You can find the compatible boards and processors in the Maintenance and Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03733656.pdf

  • Graphic Card for HP Envy 15 x360

I bought HP Envy 15 x360 on recommendation of salesman for gaming in may 2015. Aside from Atila Total War it was running most of Games like Civilization V and Civilization IV in Windows 8. Yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10 and now all of my games are gtting stuck. Especially for Civ V and Civ IV. The graphics are not smooth and its running a lot of time to get to the next turn. Plus in the middle of games, key board button and mouse stop responding. So I a not sure, is it a graphics problem or the Hard Ware Problem. Plus I am not getting any graphic properties in windows 10 and i did not see any graphic drivers for Envy 15 x360. So now what should i do. 1) Wait for the HP:               To make display drivers for Envy 15 x360 in Windows 10 incase it is a software glitch. 2)Install Video Graphics card:        I will be pleased if someone shares me information regarding it. Can we install graphics card in Envy 15 x360. 3)Buy a new Lap Top:                I just bought this 3 months ago so i would not be happy with this option. 4) Change this with new HP Lap top Model.                                                Is it possible to change it with the new Lap Top from HP having better graphics Card. I will be happy to pay for the difference in the price plus additional for the 3 month use of the Lap Top.

Do you know what graphics chip you have? There are a few versions of the Pavilion 15 x360 and we need to know exactly what we are dealing with.  I can tell you for sure that Options 2 and 4 are not going to happen. There is no physical means or method to install a video card inside your laptop. The video is just one of the chips soldered right to the motherboard. There is no HP trade-in/upgrade program as you describe.

    You're very welcome.
If the graphics driver works, it should install the drivers for the touchscreen too.
If not, try the one directly from Intel...

  • Windows 7 64-bit driver for Hp ENVY 15-q203tx

can you give me windows 7 64-bit driver for Hp ENVY 15-q203tx.some our program and system is not working with windows 8.1

    Hi:
See if the W7 x64 drivers and software from this model work on yours.  Don't use any BIOS or firmware files from this model.
To install the graphics, you have to install the Intel chipset installation utility first and reboot.
Then install the Intel HD graphics driver and reboot.
Then install the Nvidia graphics driver and reboot.

Fireworks does not operate or export in CMYK color space. It
    was
developed for screen images only, and operates and exports in
    RGB color
space. It is not recommended that you use it in preparation
    of images
for print. You mentioned that you don't like photoshop. You
    might like
    Illustrator better.

Fogot password for ipad to connect to printer

    Hi @await
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you would like to learn how to find the Wireless Direct password for your Envy 5532 printer.
You can easily find the password to the Wireless Direct network from the front panel of the printer.  If you are unsure how to do this the steps can be found on page 57 of the Envy 5530 Series User Guide in the section titled “To connect wirelessly to the printer without a router”.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 - Proper Settings for Creating Graphic for Film

Hi, I'm fairly new to Photoshop Elements. What would be the proper project settings and export settings when creating a quality graphic for using in a film? (I'm using Premiere for video editing.)
Thank you so much for your time and patience. I've been referring to google and haven't pulled up anything yet, not sure if I'm just not putting in the right terms.

  • Graphics for Interlaced & Progressive Video.

I had started an earlier thread addressing this issue. The answer I received didn't achieve the results I was looking for so I presented the information a little better. Thank you.
I am having interlacing issues producing graphics for a video destined for both the web and broadcast.
The video's main output will be interlaced on a DVD, the project uses mixed sources both progressive and interlaced. Graphics produced for this piece have been exported from motion with field rendering on.
Approval for this video is done over the internet on youtube. I must deinterlace the video so that it may be displayed on youtube correctly. The problem is that the graphics in the video get ugly stairstepping in them due to the deinterlacing. Deinterlacing is done through compressor's frame controls.
What is the best method for producing graphics for a video that is destined for both TV and the web? Should I be working in both a progressive and an interlaced timeline (exporting graphics either interlaced or progressive for each timeline). Producing only a progressive video is not valid in this case because we want the interlaced video assets to maintain their interlacing for television. Is there something I can do with my interlaced timeline/video to make the graphics look good when changed to progressive?

The methods provided in the previous thread ARE the best methods. That you're having issues is indicative of something else perhaps. It would be best if you could provide a sample of the two clips and the issue you're seeing. Also, a complete accounting of the footage and graphics would help as well. Here is an example:
    +Video is DV/NTSC 720x480 29.97, lower field dominance.+
+Graphics are Text. Font Arial bold, 28 point in Boris Title tool.+
+Compressor settings: DVD Best 90. Frame controls: Deinterlace (better), output progressive.+
+Here's a pic of the stairstepping I'm seeing after Compressor [provide link]+

  • Graphics for Menu

    Hello,
I'm creating my first real custom menu, and have created a background graphic (720x480) for it in photoshop CS. However, I'm noticing that the quality isn't really great. Do people usually create the graphics for DVDs in other apps like photoshop or just design them right in DVDSP? Also, if the former is true, how do you save the photoshop file? As a JPEG?
    Thanks,
    Matt Silva

I create the majority of my menu elements using Photoshop CS and haven't notice a problem. There are a few considerations you need to take, though:
    1) Remember that you are creating a DVD menu for television playback, and that's where it needs to look its best. Keep in mind that the menus (as will the rest of the DVD) will look worse on the computer than it will look on the TV due to the resolutions of each.
    2) When creating your graphics, avoid thin horizontal lines, and sharp high-contrast horizontal edges. Try to use horizontal lines at least four pixels thick, and choose a bold sans-serif typeface font. Additionally, all graphic elements should be anti-aliased or blended, rather than have sharp edges.
    3) Don't forget to use the 'NTSC Color Safe filter' in Photoshop to make sure the colors are TV 'safe'
Photoshop CS has a template you can use, which not only is the right dimensions, but has the action and title safe areas marked off. It defaults to saving as a PSD file, which works great in DVDSP.

  • Graphics for dreamwaver

    Hi,
I am currently learning Dreamwaver and I would like to know what's the best and easiest adobe program to use to prepare graphics for my sites.
    Thanks.

My main reason for using PS over FW most of the time (not alaways) is that I have about $800 worth of filters and plugins that are not compatible with FW. Things like several Flaming Pear filters and Alien Skin's Eye Candy stuff.
Yep... that would be another reason for my not switching.  I have the Eye Candy plug in as well!  Have to see what the Flaming Pears are all about!    I also have a huge amount of investment in PhotoShop courses, NAPP membership, etc.  I guess I feel that there are so many effects that I can do with PhotoShop, that I love the application!  I can always take an image and re-optimize in FireWorks.
Which brings us back to the initial question... it is worth the investment in the Web suite if you are going to be doing Web design.  Then you can use which ever application does whichever job you need it to do.
I also highly recommend taking courses, if you want to become a Web designer.  I think I've seen Murray has mentioned that in previous posts.

  • The best way to implement graphics for a monopoly game

    Hello,
I am implementing the graphics for a simple Monopoly game. I am currently creating a subclass of Canvas for drawing the board but when I repaint the canvas multiple times, you can clearly see the canvas repaint (a white area quickly flashs up and disappears).
What would be the best way to do the pieces moving? I thought of using the Graphic Layers Framework but I couldn't install it correctly and I would have to install it on every machine I run the game on.
    Thanks very much,
    Gary

Without trying to patronise, I assume you are using Double Buffering?
If not, that is what you need to do - draw the board offscreen, and once all the drawing operations have been completed, display this (fully drawn) image.
    Pete.

  • Graphics for Adobe AIR iOS

    Hey everyone,
Is it wise to use bitmaps when creating graphics for iOS Apps? or is vector a better choice (pre-drawn objects in library, drag and drop onto stage)?
    Thanks

Time to revive this topic again.
I'd like to ask for some advices again. I've been working around on figuring out whether it's best to use vector graphics or bitmaps. I've read a few forums and adobe's advices that it's best to use bitmaps for performance. And I should cache my vectors into bitmaps to further increase performance on vector graphics.
    Now here's the mystery.
I thought of combining vector and bitmaps together since I'm getting horrible performances from bitmaps byitself. But surprisingly, I'm getting way better performances with vector alone, without bitmapcaching! and it's GPU rendering as well, but the graphics doesn't look tessalated at all....
Can anyone explain why is that happening? I have a hunch that it's because I packaged my app in High Resolution. But is that a wise move if I want my app to be backward compatible with the older iPhone versions(I'm using an iPhone 4 to test my app at the moment)?
    Thanks!
