Graphics Hardware Not Supported

Just installed CS6 and wish to use the 3d option to create some text. However I get the window popup telling me that my graphics hardware is not officially supported for 3D.
I have a Nvidia GTX Titan which has 6gb vram.

• What does the "graphics hardware not supported" error mean?

Photoshop detected graphics hardware that is not officially supported. If you experience problems, please uncheck the Use Graphics Processor checkbox in the Performance panel of the Preferences dialog.
My system:

2 x 2,66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon

ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512 MB

It looks like you have a video card that is not officially supported in CS6.
Here is a link to the FAQ on GPU features and supported cards:

Check out the instructions on turning off OpenGL. You won't be able to access certain features that use the GPU, but you will no longer see the error message.

• I am getting the photoshop has detected graphics hardware not supported for 3d...without 512 vRam. I have enough and yet it still gives me the error. I have ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB installed and can't find any updates on adobe? What gives?

Where do I find the update?

Well, which school did you attend to justify your crooked math? When I was at school 256 was less than 512 or exactly half of 512... This simply won't work and nobody can fix it for you. Your graphics hardware is simply completely inadequate, considering that it is like 7 years or so old to begin with.

• Intel Graphics Processors Not Supported!?!?!?

So I read the Logic Studio system requirements and bought the new version for my Core 2 Duo white MacBook, since it fits the specs. I'm just about to install and I read the "Before You Install" doc.
It says about STP and Compressor, "Integrated Intel graphics processors not supported.) Whatthe?
What does this mean? That STP and Compressor won't install on my MacBook?
Shouldn't this have been in the Logic Studio system requirements?
I'm stuck and don't want to install now at all.
Help?

Well, it all installed, though when I launched STP, it threw up a dialog that said it might not work properly with less the 128 MB VRAM. Oh, joy. We shall see.
Apple really needs to put this on their LogicStudio System Requirements page.

Hi,
Catalyst 3750-E switches running Cisco IOS Release 12.2(35)SE2 are compatible with Catalyst*3750 switches and Cisco EtherSwitch service modules running Cisco IOS Release*12.2(35)SE. Catalyst 3750-E switches, Catalyst 3750 switches, and Cisco EtherSwitch service modules can be in the same switch stack. In this switch stack, we recommend that the Catalyst*3750-E switch be the stack master.

• What graphics hardware is supported in CS6?

I receive a message that my graphics hardware is not officially supported by Adobe. Can someone tell me what graphics card I need?

Generally speaking, yes, though you may want to pay special attention to removing nVidia software. Start by going carefully through the control panel and remove the nVidia drivers and any other display card-related software you may find there. There will be installation instructions with the ATI card, of course.
It may be helpful to search the web and see if you can find any sites that give ideas on what else to look for in switching brands from nVidia to ATI. I've been through the process myself in the system I'm using now, a few years ago, and I do remember having to ferret nVidia software out from several places.
I haven't used it myself, but I've heard other people mention a software package called DriverSweeper that can help ensure all the old remnants of the nVidia drivers are removed.
If you have any trouble, write back here and knowledgeable folks will likely be able to help you get through the specifics.

• PPCG4 hardware not supported

I've got a PPCG4 FW800 1.25GHz DP & 1.25GB RAM OSX 10.4.6 and ProKit 3.1 framework. When I try to launch Aperture 1.0 it tells me that my hardware isn't supported and quits.
The specs state that the app supports "1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4 processor"
Any ideas appreciated?

Correct, the machine is not adequate. IMO Apple's use of the term "unsupported by Aperture" is unfortunate, because the semantic implication is that Aperture does not "support" a particular box. As a consequence dozens of folks have posted wanting to know when Aperture will be modified to "support" their boxes; as if the engineers just need to write some code to facilitate each hardware configuration (like printer drivers; or enablers that fit the OS to specific boxes).
IMO it would be more clear if Apple just identified boxes like yours (and my tower) as "this hardware is not powerful enough to run Aperture."
Although some speed improvements on the software side (both OS and app versions) can usually be made, the basic issue is that it takes strong hardware to drive heavy graphics applications. E.g. the best 2005 Powerbooks were the first time Photoshop was really usable on any Powerbook, and that just "adequate."
Aperture (designed to handle batches of hundreds of RAW image files) requires strong hardware including the CPU, RAM, hard drives, etc. (and especially the GPU, as noted). In the long term, app designers always take advantage of the stronger power of newer boxes, so we should plan - like Photoshop users have learned through 9 versions - on buying the high end of Macs at any given point in time if we want to have adequate throughput power to drive future versions of Aperture, Photoshop, etc.
Note that my expectation is that by 2007-2008 heavy graphics apps will be wanting more RAM and strong GPUs. Buyers of boxes limited to 2 GB max RAM and/or lesser graphics should expect performance to be limited accordingly. E.g. Photoshop CS2 boxes already perform best when configured with 6-8 GB RAM.

Dlink is STILL the only officially supported usb BT dongle and I have one and it works great if you only want 10m radius.
I bought a Targus ACB20 (also known as ACB20us) because my GF wanted BT connectivity for her headset on her eMac. I realised AFTER that headsets were not supported for the Broadcom Chipset in this device.
I found the answer here -> http://cbri.umn.edu/~kunau/?p=18
this guy found a belkin patch for his device that allows broadcom chipset dongles to use headsets (YAY).
here is the direct dl link for the file -> http://ccgb.umn.edu/~kunau/wp-content/uploads/2006/06/BelkinF8T012v-OSXdriver.zip
This works fine with my targus dongle and another Anycom one I have (both 100m).
Hope this works for you.

• Audio Hardware not supported by IDT Drivers

Hi,
I accidentally uninstalled my IDT Audio Drivers. Now my audio does not work at all. When I go to install the drivers suggested by the HP Software Support section, the drivers display this message during installation: "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted."

Hi,
The first option I'd suggest trying is to run Windows System Restore.
If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you will need to disable Norton Tamper Protection as shown on the link below.
Norton Tamper Protection.
Once you've done this, shut down the notebook. Windows System Restore is usually best run in Safe Mode. Tap away at f8 as you start the notebook to enter Windows Recovery Console. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and hit enter. When this has loaded, from the Start Menu, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and launch System Restore. Pick a restore point at least 24 hours before the original audio driver was deleted and then proceed with the restore process. When complete, Windows will reboot as normal.

• Hardware not supporting old kernels!!

Yesterday I bought M/board Asus P5V800 + Intel LGA775 Pentium 4 CPU
http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3 … odelmenu=1
Either the new CPU (socket LGA775) or the M/borad, doesn't support Kernel-2.6.11 (my custom kernel) but the latest 2.6.16. I also tried Archie Live CD (2.6.x) and Knoppix 3.6 (2.4.x), doesn't work. In Knoppix booting freezes asking for "south bridge dma", in Archie no X support, and in HD no X and LAN support.
In Windows, doesn't support Win 98. Runs but cannot install some of the board sources. Drive install CD for 2000 and XP only.
For my information, is this a common restriction of LGA775?
Note: End of the day I sold the hardwares and upgraded my old Celeron (socket 478) to Pentium. Pentium 4 with Celeron doesn't work well managing heavy multitask work. Compiling apps and at the same running X apps freezing the machine.

Windows has shoddy driver support until 2000/XP. I also found this out first hand trying to install Windows ME with what should be considered very old compatible drivers. That's we me pops runs latest standard kernel with Arch Linux now. It loves the hardware (not literally), but me pops loves the Arch.
So, it goes, backwards compatible is easy, forward compatible depends on too many things like driver unification and just how shoddy the OS is (MS). I'm just amazed at how much of a mule the OS can be when it has trouble recognizing hardware. so I had this thread: "I would rather spend a week causually installing/configuring arch than the rest of my life installing Windows ME."...or something to that effect.

• Graphics card not supported - GMA X3100

I've replaced a Macbook 2.0GHz from 2006 with 64MB shared video memory with a brand new 2.2 GHz with 144MB shared video memory. But when I start MainStage, I get the message that my graphics card is not supported.
Any idea why is that?
I haven't done any updates. Would that do it?
Thanks.

• Graphics card not supported?

I have a 2008 Mac Pro, 8 core, 2.8GHz system. It has the ATI Radeon 2600 video card, with 256MB of GDDR3 RAM. I want to purchase and play the upcoming Bioshock 2 game, but it says that my card is not supported, but I am curious if the game will still play, but maybe at lower settings, or lower frame rate. My question is does "not supported" mean that it will not run at all?

Thanks,
Sounds like I need a better card, or forget about this game.

• Iphone 3s hardware not supported by Windows xp

I plugged in my wife's iphone 3gs phone to update in Itunes. I got a message from Windows that the hardware driver was not recognized. I was able to get in Itunes and record my device. It started updating. I came back to an error message and now Windows refuses to recognize the iphone when I plug it in and Itunes will not pull up my phone as a recognized device either. I see the iphone in backup but cannot restore it. All my phone shows is a picture of the USB cord to connect to Itunes. How do I get Windows XP to accept the Iphone hardware? Please help me restore this iphone. Thank you,

• Hardware not Supporting Premiere Pro CS5.5 (and after effects)

Hardware: 1st generation Macbook Pro 2.0Ghz Intel Core Duo processor, 2g (maximum ) ram, 500gb hybrid SSD/7200 hard drive. Mac OS leaopard 6.6
I bought the master collection recently which includes premiere and after effects CS5.5. Pre sales I was advised by adobe that ALL macbook pros will run all these products (by an adobe customer services Advisor)
I can't load them because (as I have now learnt) that the core duo processor only supports 32 bit- I phoned technical support, many times since 15th July and was repeatedly told that ALL macbook pros can run them, it was just a case of changing my OS to 64 bit. Apple are clear that this is not the case.
Eventually I was referred to a tier 2 advisor, who asked me which processor type, and finally said it is clear that I need earlier versions to run on this and I would be contacted by email to provide a earlier 32 bit version of these 2 programs (as is supplied to windows 32 bit users). This was 2 weeks ago and I have had no response, I have phoned several times and some advisors try to start the whole process again and insisting that I should be able to install these.
Today an advisor has told me that they have checked the notes and the tier 2 advisor has advised I "need to upgrade my hardware" (ie buy a new mac !!!)
No-one will give me any phone numbers of a tier 2 advisor to discuss this or complain about it. Nor an email address.
First i want to request that adobe, having misled me, should give me earlier copies. Especially as this has already been agreed. Secondly I want to complain about the huge amount of time wasted and how I have been fobbed off.
Apologies if this is not the exact forum space for it but I cannot find the issue on FAQ so I would be very grateful if anyone can put me in touch with the right person, or if any of the moderators would know.
