Graphics in forms 6i patch 14

hello,
I know that i need de og.pll library to work with graphics in forms. But I don't know how to get it.
or There are other type of call to ogr/ogd from forms.

If you run graphics files with RUN_PRODUCT, you don't need og.pll.
If you want to embed graphics in forms, you need og.pll.

While calling From Oracle Forms 11g patch set 2(11.1.1.3.0) to Oracle Reports 11g patch set 2(11.1.1.3.0) I found unable to run report error
But its finely working in 10g. The Place of error is in find_report_object
Is any solution to resolve this problem like any registry setting or patches to solve this problem

I was able to download it from this link:

Although the site does appear to be having problems. I got intermittent errors of the page/server not being available.

Graphics from Forms or Reports

When I am running graphics from forms or reports either using the chart wizard or by run_product built-in, I am getting error message OG-01603: UNABLE TO CREATE PL/SQL DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT CONTEXT
I am using Developer 6i.
Please help me out.

I have tested on my pc it is perfectly working.
Please check before installations..
Is there any other oracle product is running in the same machine?
1. Are you installing Dev 6i in a machine where Oracle database(8.0 or 8i) is installed?
2.First shutdown the database. Stop the oracle services running.
3. Then start installing Dev 6i in a different oracle home.

How to refresh or close graphics from forms

I call two graphics from forms, through pl/sql. There are
parameters in the forms to tune the graphics. But trying to
refresh the graphics results in access violation and the
graphics becomes a 'zombie'. Why is it possible ? How to avoid

I am a newbie in taskflow development world.
Having gone through the above answer, I am not sure on how it fits in my problem domain. I created a taskflow with few iinput parameter to it. Actually it's a polling application that displays a poll on the basis of poll id provided by user through taskflow input parameter. A new requirement came up to show a list of polls and user may click on a poll from the list and that poll should get displayed.
I have done the showing list of poll part, but when user clicks on a particular poll, even though I am setting the poll ID of the selected poll to the appropriate parameter, it's not being taken. While doing some R&D on this, I found there are two attributes called Refresh and RefreshCondition for taskflow refreshing. Initially the value of Refresh was set to 'always' which I modified to 'ifNeeded' and 'deferred', one at a time and it did not work. I have also tried binding a boolean variable to 'RefreshCondition' attribute, but while debugging, I have found, that the boolean variable is read only once while the taskflow is getting initiated, no matter what the value of 'Refresh' is.
I did not get much time to explore the meaning and applicability of 'Refresh' and 'RefreshCondition' attributes, but have a feeling that these are the ones that I have to tweak a little to get my work done. Can someone please help me on this?

Do we need to apply the Forms 6i patch-5 to 9i AS?

You can apply Forms&Reports 6i-patch-5 to IAS 1.0.2.2 . The Forms&Reports server components are only included with the IAS, while the patch is a cumulative of the server and builder components. So do a typical installation of the patch on your existing IAS Oracle_Home and you'd have applied the patch.

Form 6i Patch 10 and Oracle 9iAS Rel 1

Hi,
I have an application developed in Forms 6i (6.0.8.8.0) and web enabled using Oracle 9i Application Server Rel 1.
Recently I applied Forms 6i Patch 10 and recompiled the forms. After this the application crashes in the browser when deployed in 9iAS (The icon images are not loading, the triggers are not executing, etc)..
Is there any known issues for Patch 10 with Oracle 9i Application server Release 1?
Any help would be appreciated.

Oracle 8i Forms 6i Patch 13 - where is it???

I submitted a TAR about upgrading Forms 6i. I was told you want Patch 13 and it's on OTN. I searched OTN using the parameters "Oracle 8i Forms 6i Patch 13". I received a ton of hits but none of them told me where the patch is located. Or maybe I just skimmed them too fast. Any help would be most appreciated.

Note by the way that invoking WebForms over a 64K-connection (ISDN) only takes 30-60 seconds when you use the servlet method. Compare this with the JInitiator-method which takes about 5 minutes!

Question regarding Graphics - Print Forms

This is a print forms question. We are on ECC 5.0, basis release 640
Currently, for all our SAPscripts, we have our graphics as TIF files stored as text modules.
For our Smartforms, we loaded BMP files to the BDS using transaction SE78.
Adobe brings up the exciting possibility of using smaller sized JPG/JPEG files.
The only place I can think of storing the JPEG files in the SAP system is the MIME Repository. Looks like SE78 does not support JPEG files.
Here's my requirement and question.
In the mime repository, I created folder 'LOGOS' in SAP/PUBLIC. So, the path would be /SAP/PUBLIC/LOGOS
The names of the files in the mime repository are 'LOGO_A' and 'LOGO_B'.
We need to print the company logo based on company code.
If company code is 'A' then 'LOGO_A' else, 'LOGO_B'.
We are reluctant to read the graphic in the ABAP program and pass the whole content through the Interface.
I cannot embed the graphic in the form since the LOGO will change based on company code.
Since we can use an url for an image field in Adobe forms, how can I point the url to the mime repository?
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

By what you said, I am inferring that you mean access to load the graphic files to the Mime Repository.
My question is to read the Mime repository since users of bsp applications can still see the LOGOs in their bsp pages (I think. Never did BSP before).
Here is what I am doing currently.
Here's my interface:
LOGO_DATA TYPE XSTRING.
In my driver program, I am reading the Mime Repository graphic into an XSTRING and passing it through the interface to the LOGO_DATA field.
I created a Graphic in the Context and set it to 'Graphic Content'.
I am setting the 'Field' property to LOGO_DATA and MIME Type to 'image/jpeg'
Now,
Instead of reading and sending the whole binary content across through the function call, I am looking to see if the following would be possible:
Interface:
LOGO_URL TYPE STRING
In the driver program, assign the URL of the Graphic to field LOGO_URL (Don't know how yet).
In the context, create a Graphic and set it to 'Graphic Reference'
In the URL property, set the Graphic URL property to LOGO_URL field and then clear out the delimiter field.
If it is not possible with the Mime Repository, will it be possible with the Business Document Server (Transaction SE78).

Web forms w/ patch 1 tree & call_form crash

I've done my homework and haven't come across anyone else w/ the same problem, so let me see if I can start a grass roots movement here.
I've got a tree item in a 6i patch 1 web form that acts as a forms launcher. If you double-click a particular node I execute a call_form that looks something like this:
call_form(form_name,NO_HIDE,NO_REPLACE,NO_QUERY_ONLY,SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA);
That's what I want: a modal form w/ the calling form in the background. So far, so good, but while I was trying to break the system while having the called-form in focus, I clicked back in the tree item area (single-click, so no custom trigger was getting executed at all), and then everything disappears as if I exited both the called and calling form (client-end).
The log gives me a dump w/ an excerpt like:

I knew this would happen . . . came up w/ a solution by making the called forms' window modal=yes.
I will see if this is what I really want, but I still think something may be wrong w/ the fact that the client simply crashes when navigating from a called_form to a tree object.

Form 6i patch download

Can anyone tell me where to find the latest patch for running form 6i on wnidows XP.
I have downloaded the Forms Developer/Services 6i Release 2 for Windows 98/NT/2000/XP from the site just two days ago and facing problems while connecting to oracle 9i db.
Error:
ora-12203 TNS:Unable to connect to destination.
Do i need to download any patch even if i have downloaded xp version of form 6i just yeasterday?

If you want to run the latest patchset (and you probably will) then go to http://metalink.oracle.com and download it. You do need a valid support contract to create an account at metalink.

Calling Graphics from Form the App Crashes

I have a problem when I call Graphics from a Form.
The Graphics file builds dynamically many boxes.
The Form file has a Chart Item with this graphics file (calling it in batch mode.
I have noticed that sometimes, when I click on the chart or when the form builds the graphic the app quits or crashes. (When I run the graphic file alone from Graphics Builder there is no problem)
Has anyone seen this? Any idea? Is it a problem with the memory? Maybe a memory limitation when a form calls a graphics file???
