Graphics rendering

pardon the stupid question, but . . . when i import a photoshop graphic (pict file, 720x480) into a FCP 3.0.2 sequence which is set up as a DV-NTSC sequence, 720x480; then 2x click it so it loads into the viewer, then drag it onto the timeline, it has to be rendered. every time. is this normal? do ALL graphics have to be rendered? i realize it doesn't take long, but jeez, i have a lot of graphics to load! this could take all night.
am i missing something? (most do not have alpha channels).

I just thought that if you matched your graphics to the sequence, they should be able to be imported natively, without rendering. seems like it shouldn't have anything to do with your processor speed. it's just a file, and a small one at that. i think no matter what sequence you're working in, whether it's 16x9 or whatever, if you match your graphic pixel size to it, you shouldn't have to render. i've been spoiled, i guess, with my other (non apple) editing system, which hardly has to render anything.

Graphics rendering problem in web dynpro

I have a problem using BusinessGraphics in my web dynpro application. I got the "Graphics Rendering Problem". Reading some foruns, Ive read in some thread that I have to have 5 files under my igs/conf folder of SAP installation, but I have only 2 (gwfchart.tpl and xmlchart.tpl).
One proposed solution is to apply one patch to my igs server.
My question is....
- How do I dowload the patches ? From where ? I couldnt find a download link.

the corresponding note for the IgsUrl paramter mentioned by Rich is <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/704604">704604</a>.
I think you should check this first before you upgrade your IGS installation. Note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/931900">931900</a> shows you how to find out the IGS patchlevel. Then you see if your IGS is running (correct) and maybe an upgrade is needed also.

Business Graphics Rendering Issue

I am trying to use Business Graphics in my Web Dynpro application. However, I am getting following message:
Graphics Rendering Problem.
I looked into following Blog:

As per the blog, we have to look <MUX> tag in the igs.xml. Tyhe xml should be located in \usr\sap\NTH\JC00\igs\conf\igs.xml. First of all, I can not find any path as mentioned in blog. I can not find path "\usr\sap\NTH\JC00\igs\conf".
I have found one igs.xml in server and is located at \usr\sap\somename\somename\j2ee\JSPM\config\igs.xml.

My questions are -
1) How to find out whether IGS server is installed or not in my env?
2) Why we can't see <MUX> tag in above XML?

Hi Brian,
I guess your IGS version is 7.00. the file igs.xml only exists in IGS 6.40. The IGS configuration is in the instance profile with IGS 7.00. When your instance number is 00 the default HTTP listener port of the IGS is 40080.
Refer to note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/704604">704604</a> to see how the IgsUrl is maintained. Please check if the value is correct and also try out localhost instead of the hostname.

After installing igs see whether you can see it on the services in mmc
Hive the listener port as 8030
After the installation go to the default page as given below
http://<server name>:8030
If the igs service is running you will get a default page
After that go to this link and do the sample application

Geo Maps - Graphics rendering problem

Hi Experts,
I got this error while running an Application with Geo Map.- " Graphics rendering problem"
In my application there are two UI elements ,
Geo Map and Business Graphics, i can see business graphics properly but problem is only with GeoMap.
I checked the SAP Note : 704604.
And the entry in my Visual Admin is : http://localhost :40180
When i go to the URL http://<server>:4<instance>80 , i get the message displayed as "SAP IGS is running"
I am unable to figure out the problem can you guys help?

Hello Ashish,
There must be some problem with IGS server. So check whether your IGS server is configure properly or not.
Follow these steps:
1. Check the path first
Local Drive : \ usr \ SAP \ J2E \ JC01 \ J2EE \ admin
2. Connect to SAP J2EE Engine
3.Open the Visual Administrator Window, In Global Configuration page ,go to
CONFIGURATION ADAPTER -> WEBDYNPRO -> sap.com - > tcwddispwda -> propertysheet.default
4. Switch to edit mode
5.Change property entry , http://<server name: port number>
6.Exit the visual Administrator window
7.Restart J2EE Engine.

IGS Graphics Rendering Problem

Hi experts,
I have the following problem with the igs:
I have 2 applications with business graphics technicaly the same.
Both worked fine with the same igsURL, but lately one of them is showing "Graphics Rendering Problem"
Can You tell me please where else can be the problem? The SAP IGS is running, and the URL is the same for both of my apps, obvious the problem is in the app but Idon`t have an idea where to look

This problem can also be caused when proper values for
Series and category are not bound..
Make sure you filled the dataNode with values..

Graphic rendering service tool/plugin

I need a graphic rendering service plugin. The need is when we copy / upload a grpahic file ( AI , png , svg ,etc) into a folder the graphic rendering service plugin should automatically generate different resolution of the same graphic ( may be in different format) as per the configuration/metadata. It should be possible to add our own metadata Please suggest which plugin can do that.I will put the license request. Can I get the tool/plugin/SDK to test..

Network's graphic rendering

hello everyone,
i'm developing network-oriented application and have a trouble at the final stage. Concerning network graphical representation, i would like to know possible ways to do it. That involves hosts, subnetworks, connections, etc rendering. Say, host should contain image from file as well as string info.
Which Swing classes its better to use? I will appreciate your suggestions.

You can use JFrame to contain a JTree for your network design. You may also use a JTable to enumerate various data elements based upon the node.

Business Graphic rendering problem.

Im running J2ee (NW2004) SP20.
Ive been following this simple business graphics tutorial (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e5/08b6eb35637a44830b9e6df22987aa/content.htm) and get a generic image not found red x with I try and render my simple graph.
I have verified my IGS is setup correctly (Visual Admin) and have it referenced within my little app. When I execute my app I get the red x if I look at the IGS admin I can see a call for XMLCHART and that data was transferred. I dont see any errors in the log files. If I look at the source code I see the following url in the image source.

Does anyone have an idea?

In my case it was a matter of accessing my server with the fully qualified url. Initially I was accessing my site using http://hostname:port/.../application and was receiving the error. When I started using the fully qualified url http://hostname.domain.com:port/.../application the application started working.

I went Googling in search of this message and came across this website announcing the fixes...

heres an updated nvidia toolkit package
do a search for ogre in the new package forum
i packaged 0.15 previously
just change the version number and it should work, with a little tweaking
im not sure of the license on the nvidia-cg-toolkit, but ill leave it as GPL for the time being
this DevIL package has less dependencies, the previous one posted in the other ogre thread had far too many.
it seems ogre now needs zziplib! joy.. more dependencies for an already annoying to compile engine.. grrr
[update] the compilation worked with a few tweaks, get the package builds from now on and they will work [/update]

Graphics rendering problem in Netweaver WAS 7.0

Hi Experts,
Actually we have installed Netweaver WAS 7.0 with SP 18 and trying to configure the IGS for graphs in webdynpro java application i tryied with all the ports starting with 40080 and all other ports starting with 400..... Could any one help in configuring the IGS differently so that i can render the graphs in webdynpro application.
I know how to configure it in Visual Admin but i tried it no luck do i need to do any tweaks in such a way it turns the magic on.

Graphics loosing quality when rendering

I´m importing some graphics rendered in AFX to Premiere CS3, and when I run in Premiere they are OK, but after I edit them in the sequence and render, they loose quality. For example, I have some text (orange color) over black background. When I render them in the sequence, the text looses quality, the text definition and the color degrade and it seems that there are two colors in the text. And some weird things are happening with fields too. When I import some footage rendered lower field first in AFX, they run smooth in the source monitor, but when I edit them in a sequence and render, the field order seems to be wrong.
I cannot figure out what´s happening.

In AFX I rendered using QuickTime animation codec
In Premiere CS3 I´m working with NTSC DV
Like I said, chances are your AE export is higher quality than your Premiere project, hence when rendered, the quality goes down. The Quicktime Animation codec is comparable to Uncompressed. When you compress it to DV by rendering, quality can suffer.

Graphic and Rendering artifacts

I am attempting to overclock a Neo2-LS with
a P4 2.4b at 160 FSB.
At 150FSB running at 2701mhz the system is stable as a rock.
But at 160FSB I have been noticing some graphic artifacts
while rendering mpeg2 (DVD). In Pinnacle Studio I start to
see little green dots in the preview screen and then on the
mpeg file I see these artifacts as well.
The system does not crash and I do have sound but I have noticed my sons game does not behave at this overclock either.
I have my Core voltage at 1.7v memory at 2.65v and AGP at
1.6.
Running AGP/PCI bus at 67/33
Temps do not go over 55C on any chips.
Anyone have any ideas if there is a way to get the graphics/rendering to stabilize at this overclock level?

AGP Voltage manipulation is a must for overclocked systems, where the AGP bus and/or video card is overclocked. I run my R9800 Pro at 441/371 with no artifacting. But ONLY if I raised the AGP voltage. I run my AGP Voltage at 1.8V
