Graphs in DeskI

I am not able to see axis label in DeskI graphs. What properties I need to set ?  Please suggest.
Thanks and Regards
Nagaraja Akkivalli

I was asking this question with respect to BAR graphs in DeskI reports. Was not able to show (X and Y) axis lables in DeskI reports. I think, even in Pie charts we can only display datavalues not lables.
It would be of great help if you can address this. TIA.

  • BO XI Desk-I graph The negative values are rising form the lowest value up

The negative values are rising form the lowest value up. Instead of dropping from the Zero-line. Where is the problem originating?  BO FP2.3.
The positives values are also rising from the lowest value up.
The problem only occurs withing Desk-I. Within Web-I this problem does not occur.

    Hi
Try with the following symbol in the field
&ITAB-NETWR(>)&  - will write the sign  as (100.00-)
&ITAB-NETWR(<)&  - will write the sign  as (-100.00)
and based on some field  in the program write like
    If itab-shkzg = 'H'.
      itab-netwr = itab-netwe * -1.
    endif.
and try to print this field in the form.

  • Is it possible to change the scale of graph in webi ?

    Hi All,
How to change the scale of graph in the web intelligence report.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravi

    1. Set intervals on Y-axis values of the Webi report Charts from the Webi Chart Properties
    2. Set the Interval of 500 with Y-axis value range 0 2000,such that the value should look like,0,500,1000,1500,2000
    Reproducing the Issue
    1. Create a Webi report from e-fashion with objects Year and Sales Revenue.
    2. Run the Webi report>Turn to Column Chart.
    3. Go to Chart properties>Y Axis>Scale
    4.Here there are 2 options.
    5. Min value, Max value however the major unit option is not available like one we have in Crystal Reports and Deski
    Environment Details:
    1. BOXIR2, BOXI3.0
    Cause
This is a limitation in Webi report.
    Resolution
Enhancement_Request ADAPT01202508 for this issue has been raised however there is no specific timeline as of now defined about which major release this feature will be included in.

  • Help with sql for dial graph

    Hi
I have the following SQL query
    select (count(select status from tbl_issues where status = 'Open' or status ='On-Hold') - count(select status from tbl_issues where status = 'Closed')) value , 100 max_value
    from tbl_issues
when I save changes it comes up with the following errors
    1 error has occurred
    Failed to parse SQL query:
    select (count(select status from tbl_helpdesk_calls where status = 'Open' or status ='On-Hold') - count(select status from tbl_helpdesk_calls where status = 'Closed')) value , 100 max_value from TBL_HELPDESK_CALLS
    ORA-00936: missing expression
Certain queries can only be executed when running your application, if your query appears syntactically correct, you can save your query without validation (see options below query source).
what I want to do is display on the dial chart whether the performance of a helpdesk is poor or bad using the dials.
    thanks for your help

    Hi,
I did wonder about the "100 MAX_VALUE" setting!
For our help desk system (not in ApEx), they have statistics by month. There is also a graph showing how long it took them to resolve calls. You might consider something like that instead?

  • Graph legend text oracle 11g

Hello everyeone, I´m migratting an aplicattion from 6i to 11g and I have a problem with graphs in reports. Now the report builder comes with an integretad wizard to generate graphs, but this wizard doesn´t let me to change the titles of the legend, it put the names of the columns from the query and I want to put my own text(static or dinamic) with blanks. I have tried to put an alias for the columns in the query, but the report builder changes every blank with a underscore so I think what I have to customize is the label for every column described on the legend changing the xml generated for the graph, but I don´t find the xml node in the documentation that I can use. I need help please!! thank you everyone.

    Mascse,
I'm guessing you've already found the answer but try this if you haven't.
On the top line of the graph settings, you should see the dataValues. Add the same number of dataLabels and that may solve your problem.
dataValues="CAT1_num,CAT2_num,CAT3_num,CAT4_num" dataLabels="Front Desk, General, Nursing, Physician"

  • Changing graph colors

    Hello,
I have a bar graph and i want to change the bar color in the graph based on a value or dynamically. Meaning, if i have a variable that has a value "R" then the bar color should be Red. Is this possible in BOXIr2 Deski and if so how do you do it?. Any help is much appreciated
    Thanks,

    Hello Anand,
I don't think you can (at least I can't in BO6.5, but I don't think there has been much development done on deski since 6.5).
Normally in a table or crosstab you would define an alerter showing rows/columns differently based on the value of a measure.
If you want to achieve that in a graph you need to proceed differently (the alerter is not active when you are working with a graph).
Based on the measure (eg <sales>) you want to check you create a check_variable:
    = If <sales> < 10000000 Then "R" Else "G"
    Then create 2 new variables:
    <sales red>
    =<sales> Where (<CheckVariable>="R")
    <sales green>
    =<sales> Where (<CheckVariable>="G")
Now create a graph and put both new created variable in there. You can now control the color of each variable seperately.
    Hope this helps you further.
    Cheers,
    Harry

  • What will happen with the richer functionalities of Deski if Webi replaces?

    Hello,
I have been told that Webi will replace Deski because Deski is not supported anymore. for that we developed a lot of new reports in Webi and we encourage our customers to do the same. When our customers try this new tool out (Webi) they miss a lot of the functionality they had with Deski and are not willing to change. For instance in Deski the graphics possibilities are much bigger if you want to combine more datasources on one graph. Or also the grouping functionality when inserting a new variable is also missing. For the first example we could say that this can be solved by Crystal reports and for the other you can link excel files to your webi but these are workarounds for our customers and they want added functionality in the Webi tool of course. Is this planned or are there other means that I don't know of to solve those questions in Webi?
    thanks for your answer.
    Thierry renaer

    Thierry,
Jvmauricio's reply is spot on (both are reporting tools of their own, you should only know what to use when).
    One item you mentioned:
the grouping functionality when inserting a new variable is also missing
has a different syntax, however, the results are the same.  Here is an example:
You have a data set with various ages and a metric.  You would like to group the ages into a group and summarize.  Your report variable is called AGE, so here goes to get Ages 0-3, 4-8, and 9 and above:
    =if([AGE] between (0;3);"Ages 0-3";if([AGE] between (4;8);"Ages 4-8";"9 and above"))
So, you use the "if function" and the example above uses the nested-if type of construct.  I've never used DeskI, so I have a poor reference point on ease or difficulty over one tool or another.  From an administrative point of view, if you can get users up and running quickly over the web using a java-enabled browser versus loading a software package then I think it is a step forward.  Also, the web-enabled version, providing the correct security is in-place, permits a user to develop/run reports any where an Internet connection is available, but not so with DeskI.  One of your stragegies might be to identify like capabilities between the two tools, then show your users the "new way", like group or if, etc, etc.-- Just my two cents worth.
    Thanks,
    John

It's difficult to tell exactly what is going on without further information about the database. We would also need to map the pages to tables, which you can do with DBCC PAGE. (Which is undocumented, though.)
The U(pdate) lock here has nothing to do with an UPDATE statement. An Update lock on a resource, is a read lock, but which indicates that the process wil later perform an update on the resource. There can only be one U lock on a resource. The resource in this
question is a page, and an INSERT will cause an update to a page somewhere.
The other locks are IU (Intent-Update) which indicates that the process holds U locks on a resource on lower level, that is a row in this case. X is an exclusive lock.

  • Cursor Name on Graph Not Visible (though set to be visible)

In the Graph Properties page, I set the different cursors to have their names be visible on the waveform graph.  Yet, I do not see the names.  Is there any logical explanation for this or do I have a corrupt waveform graph.

Is the label offset a LabVIEW 8 cursor property?  I don't believe it is exposed in LabVIEW 7.1.
(I will be upgrading soon, LabVIEW 8 has been sitting on my desk for 4? months as I have just been too tied up to deal with any possible ramifications from the upgrade including any compatibility issues with Vision 7.1).

The point of crash seems suspicious... am I missing a font that Grapher needs?

It turned out it was a font problem. I had installed Linotype's FontManager (bad idea--it moved all my fonts out of their default directories), and uninstalled it, but it left some junk in my user Preferences folder. Deleting that junk fixed the problem.

  • Service Desk - Expert Mode - Not all actions are available

    Dear SAP colleagues,
I have just implemented the Service Desk in our SOLMAN system.
    1. I choose Incident Management
    2. I click on Queries
    3. I click on a ticket (Transaction ID).
    4. I edit the message
    5. When I select Actions, I only have the 4 following options :
        - Send Message to SAP
        - Maintain SAP Logon Data
        - Display SAP Action Log
        - Update SAP Message
When I consult some demos, there are many differents options available in Actions menu, as, for example :
    - Open System fro SAP
    - Confirm Message to SAP
    - E-Mail to Message Creator (Mail)
    - Print Message
    - Create Change Document
    - Call Solution Manager Diagnostics.
Is it due to an missing authorizations (roles and profiles) ?
    Thanks for your input.
    Best regards
    CP2009

    Dear Rajeev,
First of all, thanks for your input.
I have choosen SIVA when I have activated BC Sets.
Should I activate also BC Sets for transaction type SLFN ?
    1. I have started SPPFCADM and follow your recommandations.
    2. I have choosen CRM_ORDER
    3. I have then click on "Condition Configuration (Transportable Conditions)
    4. There are many entries related to the Support and Service Desk
Example : Support Desk Message Action Profile
    I have 5 actions defined -
Action 01 : Send Message to Processor
Action 02 : Create/Change Basis Message from CRM Procedure
Action 03 : Send Notification to SAP
Action 04 : Update Message from SAP
Action 05 : Confirm Message to SAP
I have activate BC Sets for transaction type SIVA, not for SLFN.
    Best regards

  • I tried to sync some new songs bought from iTunes into my ipod using my laptop, (for the first time).  It would not add the new songs to the ipod.  I tried several times, with same result.  I never had this problem using my desk top computer.

I also am having a problem with the songs I purchased using the laptop not showing on the desk top itunes, even though it is authorized to do so.  The new songs did show up on the iPad iTunes, however.  Have no idea why.  I thought this happened automatically.

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
