Graphs in Smartforms ?

Hi ,
I believe printing graphs (bar charts with values changing depending on data) is possible in Smartforms.
can anyone give some more hints on how to go about this ?
I tried serching the net and SDN but did not get anything close to the solution.

You can create additional fonts and style with transaction SMARTSTYLES
This can then be define in the paragraph and character formats, which you can then be assign to texts and fields in the Smart Form.
The character formats includes effects such as superscript, subscript, barcode and font attributes.

Dinamic Graph in smartforms

Hi,
I need to create a dinamic graph in smartforms. I can to import the bitmap via transaction se78 and to create a new graphic windowns in the smartforms and put it the bitmap, but how can I do it if the graphic is dinamic? Is there a function module that generates the image (.bmp) for the graph?

The graph (bar chart) will be generated from smartform item data. Then, I need to generate the image (.bmp) for the graph based on the values. After, I need to load this image to the smartform.

I am not sure whether you can do it using a smart form, but in report generally you can have some graphical display, But the transaction would be usefull to you.

To create a logo in SAP printouts just do the following
1. Save a Logo using Imaging, Paint shop Pro or Corel Draw as Tiff file.
2. Run program RSTXLDMC and enter the following parameters
   Enter file name                     C:\COMPLOGO.TIF
   UOM                          CM
    Line width for text                132
    Text name                     ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO
    Text ID                          ST
    Text language = E
    Number of Tiff gray levels (2,4,9) 2
3. Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
Window COMP description Company Logo
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally in the text element, mention
        /: INCLUDE 'ZHEX-MACRO-COMPLOGO' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE 'E'.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX... the logo may not be printed!
You will not be able to see the logo in a test print. The same will be printed in actual printout.
                      SMARTFORM
1)     In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and   position of the Logo
6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
8) Use TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.

We have a client requirement, that we need a graph inside a smartforms. Howeaver, this graph most be created dinamically. There is no an image created .
How can i do that ? May a use FM to generate graph in smartforms ?
Can in use FM to generate an image and after used it in smartform?

How to debug a smartform?

I am facing deffficulty.. while debugging the my smartform.
this is called in e-recruitement portal.. i tried with smartform_trace and break-point and all.
how to do this?

Printing the graph in ABAP is a possibility.BUt how about printing graphs in
1) Smartforms - how to print graphs in smartforms
2) Adobeforms ?

here is how it should be done :
You create a window resembling the bar with some background colour.If you print the window, it will print like a bar with the colour that you have given.
Now, create a table with one cell whose position and width should overlap the created window.
Then according to the data you fill up the table (note that the contents of the cell will be space).
That way the widow will be reduced from the top and hence will represent a bar displaying data.
Silmilarly you can create other windows and their corresponding tables so at the end it looks like a bar-chart.It works well and I have done it.
First you try with one window and table.

Check the same printing in another printer
because sometimes it will happen due to printer also.
So check and confirm it
and also check the resolution of the graphic technical settings and the output options in smartform
see the steps correctly

SMARTFORM-> execute->execute->pass values if require to import & table parameters ->execute-> on the pop up window give Printer name as LP01 and press print preview.
For debugging -
1. Write BREAK POINT in the code window.
2. Put a break point on the call function in the driver program
3. Put a break point in the generated Function module.

In the Smartform, within the Code Node you can hardcode a normal abap Break Point ..
Please set a break point in side the smartform:
BREAK <USERNAME>.
Then at the time of print/ preview the program stops there.
Example : If you set the break point in initializationas
BREAK <USERNAME>.
Program stops at break point. After that use Serach and set more break points.
>Search the program logic/Textelement/Address via search and set the break point at that code.
Other way to debug smartform is to debug the Function Module of that smartforms. If you want to debug particular smartform node that the solution would be, insert a "Program Line" just above the node you want to debug and this program line write a normal abap breakpoint. Smart forms
They are two ways to debug the SAPScript.
1). Use Tools - Word Processing - Layout Set (SE71). Enter name of layout set and then Utilities - Activate Debugger.
It is of no consequence which layoutset you enter when selecting the SAPscript debugger. (Menu path: Tools-Wordprocessing - Forms, Utilities - Activate Debugger) The next layoutset called will invoke the debugger.
2). Another way to set the SAPScript debugger is to run program RSTXDBUG.
When you debug Print program it is same as you debug any other ABAP program.
While when you debug SAPScript, you actually debug the code ( scripting) you have written SAPScript Form.

Can we add bar graph in smrtform at runtime?

I am trying put bar graph inside smartform. The percentage/input i will pass at runtime and accordingly the graph will reflect the changes.
CALL FUNCTION 'GRAPH_MATRIX_3D'

With this FM i can print bar graph using report program. But I have to save this bar graph on local m/c then pass it to smartform.

Diagram in Smartforms

Hi all,
we want to create a Smartform which will be saved (as batch) in the content server as PDF (that´s easy.. )
But we want to include a diagramm into the PDF ( in the middle of the PDF ).
The diagramm contains data which are saved on the table & must generated while the batchjob is running. To save a Image ( SE78.. ) in the mime rep. is not really the right way...
Have anybody an idea, how to create a Diagramm > move it into the SSF > create a PDF and save that on the content server ??

First u have to place graphic window in smartform. And then add logo to the graphic window.
To upload logo u have to use the follwoing method.
Using tcode SE78, u can upload logo to the smartform.
Inserting Logo in SmartForm
Follow the given steps in order to add a logo,

Width & Height according to PS scaling

Then Create a new window 'COMP' with attributes;
Window COMP description Company Logo
Window type CONST
Left margin 7.00 CH window width 10.00 CH
Upper margin LN window height 8.00 LN
Finally u can make use of the text name and text id to print the logo.
Please note that if object name is not indicated as 'ZHEX...', the logo may not be printed !
