Gray outlines on photoshop graphics

I recently upgraded to the latest version of Muse and when my file opened, there were gray outlines around some of my graphics.  Specifically, the oulines were around the graphics that i created in photoshop that had layers which i then used as different states in Muse.  Before I upgraded, they didn't have outlines (which is how they're supposed to look-- without them), and now i dont know why they showed up or how to get rid of them.  I didn't change the source file from photoshop at all, and there is no stroke on the graphics applied through Muse.  Any ideas?
CHeck out the site as it looks now, with the gray outlines (see the boat, sun and palm tree graphics)
http://www.rockfit.me/
Any help is appreciated!

No, still having trouble.  Ive viewed the site in firefox and in IE and same thing.  they are very, very thin lines around the boat, sun and palm tree icons.  they are most apparent on the sun, especially when you hover over it.  there should be no ouline and i cant figure out how to get rid of it.
Those three graphics SHOULD looks like this (snap taken from MUSE preview mode):

  • Gray outline of artboard shows up in browser when I view webpage - advice on how to remove this

I have designed a layout in Illustrator (CS5.1) for a webpage. I save for web with transparency and when I view in a browser there is a gray outline of the artboard from illustrator. Any suggestions on how to remove this outline?

Check your align to pixel grid stuff and the artboard dimensions. This usually happens when olacing stuff at fractional values.

  • Why are the adobe pdf presets grayed out in photoshop?

Why are the adobe pdf presets grayed out in photoshop? I'm trying to save an image to "Press Quality" as a pdf and the settings are grayed out.

Maybe a screenshot of your Photoshop working area with the image opened, image tab and the layer panels showing might give us an idea. I can't guarantee that I can help, but someone might be familiar with the situation.
Also a screenshot of the Save as Adobe PDF and the PDF settings dialog as separate shots would also help as well. That way we see what you see.

  • Importing crisp photoshop graphics correctly! how? please help!

Can someone please give me a simple answer to how to import a graphic from photoshop without it looking like crap once it is in final cut. I am setting my sequence settings (frame size) to NTSC DV (3:2). frame size (720 x 480) - my photoshop graphic is 720 X 480 as well but looks horrible when imported and after rendered.
What is going on here? I just want to import a crisp high resolution graphic without spending 6 months figuring out what the correct settings etc are.....I need to get on editing this video...
Can anyone give me a simple explanation as to how to proceed correctly?
    thanks!
    -Peter

First off what bothers me or what I was worried about originally is that at one point my graphics looked fine and then after rendering they looked like crap. When I re - created my entire project this bad quality was an issue directly on import (I've tried so many settings I can't even remember how it looked good the first time).
Thanks for your response bit I still have a few questions for you so I'm clear....
When you say change my sequence to "DVCPRO50" - do you mean in the "compressor" area?
another words sequence menu / settings - then inside that window there is a compressor drop dowm menu....this is the only place I see the option for "DVCPRO50".
Also I have already created all my psds a certain pixel size...are you telling me
that I have to re-create every one of them from scratch at 720 X 534 then re-size?
This will mean a lot of work since I've allready created them in a different size document.
Also I've been saving as a "targa" as far as file type... Is that the best way to go?
And lastly, what is the best setting for exporting? It seems all the options I've tried
have been giving me less then satisfactory results... most quicktime exports look horrible,
and the only file type that looks somewhat ok is "divx" - but still my last attempt at that even looked less then perfect...... do all of these settings mean nothing if my render settings all-ready
mess up my file from the start?
if I do everything perfect from the beginning then what is my best export options?
Thanks in advance for any more help....

  • Extensions grayed out in photoshop cc 2014

I am trying to manage extensions in Photoshop CC 2014, specifically to add the Rad Lab panel of actions, but the "extensions" tab under window is grayed out. Any advice?

I downloaded a different, newer extension for test purposes, and the extensions menu did indeed become active, but the panels I am interested in adding do not show up under Window > Extensions.  ... So I guess those extensions need to be updated by their developers

  • Placing a Photoshop graphic in Flash CS4

I'm trying to add a graphic I made in Photoshop CS4 into Flash CS4 without adding the background with it. When I transfer the graphic is comes with a white background. How do I change that and which program do I use to change it?

Nevermind I figured it out myself.

  • Settings for a Photoshop Graphic to be used in Premiere Project

I'm looking to expand my use of Premiere to a more expert level.  One of the things I want to do is create overlays and custom intro graphics and such.  When creating the new Photoshop file from scratch, I'm going to match the video dimensions (1920x1080).  But here are my questions:
What resolution should I use.  Is 72 sufficient, since its screen?  Or should I go with something higher?
What color mode should I use?  RGB?
    Sorry I'm such a rookie.
    Thanks in advance.

Only use RGB, with Alpha if you need it. DPI has no meaning in video, if you don't want to pan or zoom the picture use 1920x1080 pixels if you do want to move the picture only go as large as you need. I import all my stills as Photoshop files, this will allow you to keep the layer structure if you want, useful for animation.

  • Photo template with white background #ffffff appears gray online, using Photoshop CS5.

Aloha! I am stumped with this and need your help.
Here's what I want to do: Create a seamless white border around my photo on a white background (blog post area is white). I am using Photoshop CS5.
I've tried saving the file as PNG, GIF, and JPG but all appear as gray in the area I want as white.
Photo below is how my image appears on a white background. The area surrounding the photo and behind the word "example" is the gray area that is white #ffffff on PS but appears otherwise when posted online (my blog on Blogger).
The top image is a PNG file, the bottom is a GIF. The GIF is slightly better but still gray. I would like the surrounding area to be pure white so it just blends into the white background (post area).
This is the image I see on PS, it is white in the areas surrounding the center photo, this is how I intend the final image to look like:
I've even chosen my background (while creating a new document) as white for the background color. I've even tried a transparent background but all that did was make it worse and turn the transparent background to black when I post the image online.
Here's a screen capture of my layers (not sure if this info is necessary but I do need help).
If anyone would like to help me with this I'd really appreciate your assistance.  Thank you so much!!

Mylenium, I went back in and took screen shots of what I found according to your article. I finally found color settings.
And as for "view", I couldn't find this part in your article: View--Proof Setup enable Monitor RGB and make sure Proof Colors is enabled."
This is a capture of what I find:
Where do I check off under Proof Setup?
    Thanks again!

  • I just can't solve this Photoshop graphic problem

    Greetings...
I've seen a bit hereabouts on graphics import problems, but nothing so far has led me to a solution.
Here's the thing: A multi-layer graphic was created for me in Photoshop CS2. It has a backround image and text. I intend to use it as a menu background. Looks swell in Photoshop, but when imported into DVDSP4, the text goes bad on me. The nice smooth edges on the capital "S" and other rounded characters now look roughhewn. The capital "T" and other hard edge characters look fine. The background image looks fine. Only the text stubbornly refuses to look like it does when still in Photoshop.
The file was delivered to me at 800x600, 72 dpi. I've tried importing it into DVDSP4 most every way my feeble mind can think of: as is, resized to 720x534; as a merged-layer psd file; as a flattened psd file; as a tiff; as a pict; as a jpeg. It always comes out exactly the same - bad font problems, background image okay. I then took a few of the above images, dropped them into menus, burned a disc and looked at the finished product on my TV. The font problems were still very evident. (I also included on the test disc a menu with fonts entered directly from DVDSP4; they looked just fine.)
Obviously, I'm missing something here. I have only superficial knowledge of Photoshop, so I'm really at a loss. Clearly, one should be able to transfer a graphic from Photoshop to DVDSP4 without a noticeable loss, but I'll be darned if I can figure out how to do it.
    Any advice, o learned ones?

    PowerMac dual 2.0   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Thanks again to all for your feedback. I'm going to look into every option you mentioned to see if I can find the key to my problem.
By the way, I just now tried a test file of my own. Started from scratch with the NTSC 720x540 preset; typed in some print (36 pt, 24 pt); left the setting at "crisp"; saved the file as a PSD; imported it into DVDSP4; dropped it into a new menu ("Set Background, All layers visible") and...same problem.
But just so my expectations are not off base, let me ask you this: The test file looked fine in Photoshop, yet the round characters all looked very rough once they were dropped into the DVDSP menu. What do you see on your setup when YOU do this? Are the letters all approximately as clean and well-formed as they were when residing in Photoshop? Now, I haven't burned this latest test file to see what it looks like on my TV, but I'm still curious as to why it looks so bad in DVDSP simulation. Note that text generated from within DVDSP4 looks just fine all down the line, from viewer to simulation to burned DVD.
    What the heck...????????

  • Photoshop graphics card acceleration

    Hi,
I have been using my adobe photoshop for a while without issue.  Now all of a sudden when starting up I get a message saying "Adobe photoshop now includes graphic card acceleration" and that I should download the latest drivers.  I have the latest drivers for my card for a while and have changed any settings in Photoshop.  Does anyone else know why this is happening? I have attached the picture of the message.
    Thanks.
    Andy

you probably just enabled gl acceleration capablities for the first time and/or after updating your driver. It happened to me and im pretty sure its just a warning thats means nothing until you actually have a new driver to update, so just tick and it will go away.
    peace
ps this site is slower than cs4 go figure

  • Hints for resource to create video production compatible photoshop graphics

Could someone please recommend a good website or information resource for creating graphics in Photoshop that are compatible with video production. 720x540, square vs non-square pixels, alpha channels, etc. I have Googled for an hour and am not finding what I need.
I want to make images, graphics, titles, menus, etc for DV production that will be finished in DVD Studio Pro. I do not wish to use Final Cut or DVD studio apps for any of the graphics, I much prefer to design in Illustrator and Photoshop!
I am concerned about sizes, NTSC colors and pixel shape as I mentioned above. There must be a good site with reference material and basic how to's.
    Thanks!

How do people make high quality graphics ready for FCP? Re-sampling to a different size is never a good idea. Thanks for pointing me towards LAFCPUG - there's lots of other great stuff on the site, as always, but the Photoshop tutorial is from 2001. Much too old to be of any current use what so ever. Photoshop CS3/4 now handles all the pixel sizing automatically or so I am told.
I'm not sure why I am having so much trouble finding out about this. Custom graphics are imported into FCP all the time. I just need a basic idea of how to properly create a new file in Photoshop CS3 that will not be re-sized and therefore look like trash! (images are only 72 dpi so resampling is not a good idea!)
At the moment my only option is to do a test, and re-sample the width until it looks about right, then just make everything weird and distorted to start with? Same goes for Illustrator I guess... except I could import to Photoshop and stretch my graphics until they look similarly "weird and distorted"... seems very odd to me that there's no up-to-date solution for this very common situation.
Also RGB monitor colors are no good for TV. I used to use my Hollywood DV and an actual TV to get colors right, but again, I am tired of guessing at all this!
I am hoping someone will know where to direct me.
    Thanks

  • Premiere Pro, Photoshop & Graphics Cards in SLI or Crossfire

Simple question for those who are hardware knowledgable,
Can a computer system that has dual graphics cards setup in SLI or Crossfire run Premiere Pro and Photoshop CS5.
I am not looking at whteher it will get bonuses in editing or anything, just can it run?
According to some on these forums it cannot at all but I am currently running both PS and Premiere Pro on a system with dual GTX 460 without issues.
Do anyone else have dual cards in SLI or Xfire running these programs?

    Hi,
I've tried this week installing two 6850 graphics cards with crossfire and using the latest Catalyst Control Centre (ver 13.something) and after effects worked fine but Premiere kept crashing big time. I then tried one graphics card with CCC (ver 13.something) and it still crashed. I had to use the CCC version 12 something that came with the graphics card in order to even get one card working and that doesn't seem to support the crossfire.
Ouch is my response, anyone got any ideas?

  • Imported photoshop graphic - colors completely change in FCE!

    Hi,
I am trying to import a .psd graphic from photoshop. When I do this, the colors change dramatically. The green is a different shade and the black is orange!! How do i get my original image colors to appear? Also, when there is no background in photoshop, there is one in FCE. I don't want a backgound, just the object I am trying to import.
Anyone have any hints? I'd really appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Karen

What format are you working in? Are you using RGB? There will be some color discrepancy because you're converting the material to a different color space YCrCb used by digital video. If you have the current version of Photoshop there is an option to display the Photoshop file onto a video monitor with a suitable analog to digital converter, like a camcorder.
    All the best,
    Tom

  • Photoshop Graphics in FCP

I am working a lot with importing graphics from photoshop and using them in my projects in FCP. I am seeinga huge loss in quality with the final product. What are correct dimensions and specs to use when playing with graphics?

I mean, is your original footage DV and are you working on a DV timeline.
When you are all done with your project and you have the edit you want, go into the EASY SETUPS and choose DV50. Then make a new sequence. In your old sequence SELECT ALL (Apple-A) then COPY (Apple-C). Click on the new sequence and hit APPLE-V (Paste) and then render. Your graphics should look a lot better.
You can test it now. Create the sequence and drop a graphic into it and see if it looks better. If not, then try uncompressed 8-bit. Mind you, to play back uncompressed 8-bit you need at least a FW-800 drive or internal SATA or eSATA drive or SATA Raid.
