Grayed and "Working" Desktop mngr - can't close it !

New to BB Storm, and the desktop manager is not accessible anymore, grayed out and "Working" just sitting on my screen. I followed instructions for hard reset - no luck. Tried uninstall, but I have to close the program before I can uninstall. I have Windows Vista. Any tips out there? Thanks!

Is it Keychain Acess that you have open? If so you should just be able to quit the application or use Force Quit (Option-Commad-Escape) to close it. Why is Safari in AirDrop? Do you mean the application itself? That doesn't quite make sense?
As for AddThis, I'm not sure what that is... this?

Keep hold of the power and home buttons until the screen goes blank, when it does release them and power the phone up as you normally would.

Thank for for your suggestions. Unfortunately they are of little help. I am running on Snow Leopard and the PalmDesktop works fine. However, I do not want to quit my PalmTungsten unit as it is my backup for all my important access information. If it cannot run on Mavericks and no other solution is at hand, I simply will not update my OS X, but work on my Snow Leopard as it is.
I do not know how on earth I can migrate the information from my Palm into another system, and then quit the PalmPilot. If you have any intelligent solutions to this I would appreciate an input. A manual copy and paste solution is not acceptable. I may however run it on Windows via Parallel Desktop, but it is a lousy solution, and demonstrates (again) the weakness of Apple's OS and lack of compatibility. I am not impressed by the OS X performance.

Try forcing Firefox to rebuild the list of installed add-ons.
# Open the profile folder, for details of how to access it see the [[profiles]] article.
# Close Firefox, then delete extensions.sqlite (you can also delete extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.rdf if they exist)
When you restart Firefox the list of installed add-ons should be rebuilt.
If that did not work, you may have an add-on that is causing the problem, try the options in the [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article.
If you type '''about:addons''' into the location bar does that bring up the list of add-ons? I have seen a blank add-ons list if Mr Tech Toolkit add-on is installed, accessing the add-ons manager by typing about:addons in the location bar is a workaround with that add-on installed. The author of that add-on is working on an update.

Force Quit the application from the Apple menu.

On switching on, a message says 'Firefox is already running but not responding...........' then tells me to close it and restart but how can I close it when the page isn't yet displayed?

When I switch on my computer I get the desktop then I try to click on Mozilla Firefox but get the message, 'Firefox is already running but not responding. To open a new window you must first close the existing Firefox process or resart your system.' I looked up how to close but I need to click on 'file' then 'exit'. How can I do that when I can't see the page yet? IE is working fine.

Gmail account goes gray and I no longer can access it on iphone 5 iOS 8

Hello, I have an iPhone 5 64 GB iOS 8 but when I try to access my gmail account from mail app, it doesn't allow me unless I delete the account and reinstall it, but then again after I send one message or delete one message, it goes gray again and I cannot access anymore Has anyone experience the same thing? I've tried the IMAP re-configuration from gmail forums and turned off the two steps verification but still the same... It only happens on iPhone 5, I also hv an iPad mini working all right, any clue?

I've seen one other report like yours, and I think the issue is caused by a bug, but I don't know what triggers it.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not seem to be related to. Is your question concerning iTunes Match or syncing with iTunes via USB?

I've got the same issue and it affects all my adobe software. You are not alone as I have seen several postings looking for the answer to this help request.

Quit iBooks and restart the iPad and then try the book again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
