GRC 10.0  stack java

Hello .
I'm installing GRC 10.0 with a customer, but they want only ABAP environment and are discarding the java stack.
anyone know if there are disadvantages of not istalar the java stack ?
what are the advantages and disadvantages of having the java stack?
Thaks.

It is not mandatory to install java stack for AC10.0 . You would need it if you want PDF export . But for PDF you can also use already existing java stack rather than installing seperate java stack for GRC

  • PI NFE com erro 92 / stack java caindo

    Amigos,
    O ambiente u00E9:
    Windows 2003 x64
    Oracle 10.2

    Olá Fernando,
    os arquivos XML são todos padronizados assim:
    newPayload_2010-10-11 19.24.47.406.xml
    E são as NFE sim.
    Verifiquei hoje, a transação sxmb_moni -> Estatisticas de Processamento
    Aparece o seguinte resultado:
    Processing Statistics:
    XML Messages with error  = 109
    - Manually canceled          = 64
    Unprocessed XML messages = 23.633
    Correctly Processed XML Messages 375 992
    Archives XML Messages = 0
    XML Messages Flagged for Deletion = 0
    Deleted XML Messages = 288067

  • Instalação JWS fora do Stack Java do PI

    Senhores,
BaseEJBException: Exception in method sign.
    at com.sap.grc.nfe.dsig.DigitalSignatureLocalLocalObjectImpl0_0.sign(DigitalSignatureLocalLocalObjectImpl0_0.java:119)

    at com.sap.grc.nfe.dsig.DigitalSignatureLocalLocalObjectImpl0_0.sign(DigitalSignatureLocalLocalObjectImpl0_0.java:103)
    ... 26 more

    Bom dia Jose Nunes,
    . aii_af_jmsproviderlib.sda
    . aii_af_ra_ms_sonic_client.sda

  • JCo definitions lost during OS/DB migration of single stack Java

    Hello All,
    I am migrating a single stack Java system release 7.0 from SolarisOracle to AIXOracle. The application running on this system happen to be GRC components. The whole migration includes SLD system migration as well. The issue is that after the system copy, definition of all JCo destinations is gone. The only thing that is left from JCo destinations is the name. I can create these JCo destinations after the copy but that is manual work and will extend the migration window.
    Has anyone seen this issue?
    Is there anyway to copy JCo destinations from one Java stack to another?
    Thanks,
    Farshid

    Hello Mark,
    thanks for the SAP Note.
    Seems within the 6 years since 2005 there were no NW Systemcopies with a really big number of JCO Connections inside...
    resulting into that SAP was not forced to do something in this area.
    I'm curious if the JCO interface of 7.3 was reworked in that area as well...

    Hi Iwan,
    thanks for pointing this out. I will take care of this, as the credential is usually valid for 4 months and apparently hasn't been updated in SDN.
    Thanks again,

  • Stack JAVA as Add-in installation

    Hello
    This is my first time on forum.
    We are installing a Java Add-in on our Development System
    Abap only.The response of prerequisite checker is the necessity
    to install Manteinance Level 5 and our Aix 5.3 is on ML 4 at OS level.
    <i>Prerequisite Checker finds one Condition
    with Severity High not met:
    "For AIX 5.3 at least maintenance level 5 is required.
    Current maintenance level: 4. (Updated 2006-10-06)".</i>
    Speaking with our Sistemistic team they refer on some impacts of this
    ML.
    Therefore the question is if install or not this ML 5 for stack Java?
    Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

    Hi Paolo,
    You can give it a shot but, even if it goes well, be aware that SAP may refuse to support your Java in case you need them to look at some issues.
    Regards,
    Mike

  • How to modify my Stack.java?????

    I want to make my Stack.java doing like this:
    stackType<nodeType<elemType>*> stack; //C++
    stackType<int> intStack; //C++ code
    My Stack.java:
    public class Stack {
         TreeNode items[];
         int StackSize;
         int top;
        public Stack(int size)
             StackSize = size;
            items = new TreeNode[size];
            top = -1;
        public boolean empty()
             if(top == -1)
               return true;
            else
              return false;
        public boolean full()
             if(top == StackSize-1)
               return true;
             else
               return false;
        public void push(TreeNode c)
            if(full() == true)
               System.out.println("stack overflow");
            else
                items[++top] = c;
        public TreeNode pop()
             if(empty())
               System.out.println("stack underflow");
            return items[top--];
    }

    You don't need templates in java, since all java objects derive from java.lang.Object (it isn't possible either). Just use the original Stack (java.util.Stack). To push primitive types, just use the wrapper classes (java.lang.Integer, java.lang.Double...).

  • WAD 7.0 Connection BW7.0 ABAP and BI stack JAVA ?? & WEBEX

    Hi experts,
    My question is probably too simple but .....
    I am from basis components and I have some littles questions..
    I have 2 systems :
    - 1 BW 7.0 ABAP stack only
    - 1 BI 7.0 JAVA standalone
    I have configure UME and Webex between the two systems.
    For testing, I use internet explorer on the portal...It's OK.
    But consultants wants to use a "WAD 7.0"...
    What i would like to know :
    - WAD could connect directly on the ABAP BW ? Or throw the BI 7.0 JAVA?
    - In case they could connect directly to the ABAP, a BI JAVA was necessary? SP 07  for abap STACK?
    Last question :
    In my Bi portal user from abap stack are created by UME (from abap)  but tkey don't have any permissions...This is normal or my user mapping is wrong?
    Thanks for your help in this new world for me.
    cdt,
    patrick

  • Differences between dual stack and single stack Java system copies

    Hi
    Can any body please provide step - by -step procedure.
    Thanks in advance
    Edited by: Kobby bryant on Apr 13, 2008 10:39 PM

    Hello Koby,
    Dual stack is ABAP+Java instance.
    Single stack or Standalone is just Java instance. There is no ABAP part.
    Using the installation wizard, you could select the desired option and the installation is performed accordingly.
    If you are looking for any specific info, please provide the details.
    Regards,

  • Stacking Java (JRE) versions??

    Is it a safe practice in install newer versions of Java (JRE) on top of an older versions where you would have multiple versions of java showing on the Java Control Panel and/or Downloaded Program Files folder?
    When I troubleshoot some systems, I see a newer version (i.e. 1.5.0_07) installed and I will see other versions (1.3... or 1.4....) listed as damaged in the Downloaded Program Files folder.
    Is it better to remove older version, re-boot system, install new version, re-boot system again?
    We are not allowed to have automatic updates enabled.

    AFAIK, you can remove the old JREs using Control Panel > Add/Remove programs.
    However, some software/applets could no longer work with the new JREs, so you have either to upgrade them if they (software/applets/games,..) are your own development or to keep several JREs installed in your machine.
    Rebooting your OS depends on you this latter.

  • What are the pros and cons of installing java+abap stack for portal?

    Hi all,
      1.What are the pros and cons of installing java+abap stack for portal?
      2.what effect it does on the ume options to be choosen??
      3.for the purpose of integration of r3,bw and crm on portal and crm 4.0 60.2.3 business package which option of stack(java or abap or both)will be good option and which ume option while installation should be choosen?
    regards
    Rajendra

    Hi Rajendra,
    The NetWeaver Installation Master Guide offers some good scenarios on the pros and cons:
    https://websmp201.sapag.de/~sapidb/011000358700005412792005E.pdf
    In a nutshell:
    ABAP+JAVA
    Pros
    - Decrease # of servers required to administer the portal
    - Less costly
    Cons
    - Upgrades could be dependent on ABAP and Java release level
    - Additional load on the server due to ABAP stack
    - Limited scalability
    JAVA and ABAP on separate server
    Pros
    - Improved performance
    - Allows each system to be single-use purpose therefore downtime does not affect other components
    - More scalable
    Cons
    - Adds complexity to landscape
    - Additional costs

  • ABAP/Java Stack download

    Hi all!
    Someday last year (2005) I visited the download area at sdn and found an item in the WebAs section. The download-item contained the abap- and the java-stack in one package for windows. I did however not download the item, which was a great mistake. I'm looking for that download ever since, but can't find it. The downloads in the WebAs area are never both sides (abap and java), but only abap OR java. I'm not looking for the linux version. Can anybody help me?
    thanks
    Alex

    Hi Alex,
    Actually we never offered the complete double stack (Java and ABAP) for Windows on SDN - only the Linux version you mentioned. We planned to release something like that by end of 2005 but for numerous reasons it never worked out. In the meantime, there have been several postings from community members who successfully installed (separately) both the ABAP and Java Sneak Previews on their own.
    You can check for posts in Software Downloads for details or for contacts to those members who were successful for tips.

  • Abap+ java stack or Abap stack

    Hi All,
    How to know whether a system is  ABAP+ JAVA   stack or  JAVA stack.
    In our system   EP6.0  which is JAVA  stack  holds JC00 which is a  java instance direcory. In BW system we have SCS20 and Dvebg...00 directories is it ABAP+ JAVA stack  or  ABAP stack with J2ee engine services.
    Please suggest me...
    Thanks,
    Subhash.G

    In the forder structuer usr\sap\<SID> if you have DVEBMGS<XX> then it's ABAP and if it's JC<XX>, then it's JAVA. Also if under DVEBMGS<XX> you have j2ee and SDM folder then it's a dual stack that is both ABAP and JAVA.
    As for the URL if it's a dual stack then using the browser use the user j2ee_admin and the specified password, else if it is only java then use administrator user and the specified password.
    If it's a dual stack you can also login using sapgui.
    If in case its single stack AS_ABAP
    THere will one be a single node i.e. no message server and enque server. The folder stur would be /usr./sap/<SID>/ and tou would find
    DVEBMG SYS folders only.
    IF in case its single stack Java server then
    In mmc. you will find, 2 nodes one for message server, enque server and the other for the SDM, dispatcher and server0
    the foder struct would be
    /usr/sap/<SID?
    JC><CIno> SCS<no>
    Now in case if you have double stack i.e. AS-java and AS-ABAP you would will find these things in mmc
    Message server and enque server
    disp+work, message server and wp
    the folder struct would be
    /usr/sap/<SID>/
    DVEBMG<no> SCS<no>
