GRC 10.1 - ARA - Mass Mitigation Upload

I am having issues in mass upload of mitigating controls for Rule IDs more than 300 ..
I have tried to do it using GRAC_UPLOAD_MIT_ASSIGNMENTS , but it is giving me error
Also I am not quite sure on the format of the file to upload .. I am using as below
System RISK ID Rule ID Control ID Valid from Valid To Monitor Active Role Name
Can you forward me any template to upload mitigating controls . When I try to download the existing one , the first column has entry as below , which I am not quite sure ,

Issues in mass data Upload

Hi All,
        Hope you all are doing fine.
        I have to do master data upload for my next project. I have gone through LSMW, DX-WB, Recording etc. and now I am quite comfortable with all of these.
        As i have tested these tools for maximum 8-10 records, I am interested in hearing from you all, your experiences regarding actual data upload where volume is high and data may be difficult to verify manualy. Particularly I am interested in how to make upload faster,Error free,consistent(No record being posted twice etc.)

the mass data upload depending on tht data u want to upload, there ara several function module to upload data like create reservation or upload long text inspection method tell me what the data u want to upload

We have migrated data from virsa 4.0 to grc 10.1, all virsa mitigation approvers and controllers got migrated but we are not able to map new mitigation approver and controller to the mitigation ids.

The steps we have done below.
1. We have created user id in su01 with necessary authorizations
2. we have declared this user id in Access control owners as a
mitigation approver and assigned to the organization unit
Now we are trying to map to newly created mitigation approver to the
mitigation id but we are not able to find that approver id for the mitigation ids. (only old mitigation ids came from VIRSA only we are able to see, not able to add new mitigation approvers / controllers to the mitigation ids)
Kindly check this issue, this is very critical for us.

- Make these owners as Mitigation Approver and Monitor
- Create Mitigation Id in this Org. unit

Delete mass photo upload task?

Hello everybody,
I have tried to use the mass photo upload iview in the portal (com.sap.netweaver.coll.demo.UserPhotoAdministrationMassUpload) to upload some photos. Unfortunately I entered an invalid path for the parameter "upload folder". This resulted in a photo upload task that is still running. I have tried to restart the portal, but the task stays active. Does anyone know how to delete this task?

We also have the probleme. This problem is statet as an Customer message to SAP-OSS.(Message No. 0020079747 0000068749 2006)
Answer from SAP:
the problem is fixed with Sps 16.

ERM - MASS ROLE UPLOAD

Hi All,
when using the Mass role upload from SAP backend systems, i expect that all roles will be uploaded to the final stage in the role methodology inthe ERM and that they will be already generated.
After all, those roles already exists in the systems.
well, i see that this is not the case and i have to go through the different stages with every role.
is this indeed the system behavior or did we do somthing wrong ?

We did as you suggested but configured the approval stage in the methodology since the role is already approved and is in ECC PROD.
Now we encountered a situation where we need to update the role in ERM as part of continuos maintainance (after upload) but we don't have the authorization option to enter and change it but only the "save" and "change history" push buttons.
We changed bach the methodology to the relevant one with all the stages but still we can't maintain the uploaded role. the change in the methodology did not effect the role already uploaded.
Do you have any suggestions regarding how we can fix this issue?

Mass Data upload in SAP from 3rd party system

Hi Experts.
Can anyone help me how to do mass data upload in SAP. Actually, when any new joining is done, a form is being filled by employee(joining form), and that data is finally updated in SAP manually using various infotypes. Now, i m planning to make that form available in webpage. The employee will go to the webpage, fill the data , also the HR will fill the required fields, and once the form is complete, the data will get updated in SAP, in resp. infotypes. Like personal details in infotye 2, address in infotype 6, bank details in 9 and so on, in a single shot. Is there any BAPI or something like that, using which this can be achieved.

You can try BAPI_BANK_CREATE for IT0009, BAPI_ADDRESSEMP_CREATE for IT0006 and BAPI_PERSDATA_CREATE for IT0002. Otherwise, you can also use FM HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA to create any infotype.

GRC AC 10.0 Mass risk analysis vs. Role level analysis

Hello GRC experts,
I urgently need your advice on the issue with deactivated permission objects which are identified as risks in the mass role analysis.
For example, in one role we have deactivated the permission object: S_ARCHIVE, and there are No activities maintained.
But in the mass role risk analysis and in the CUP request this object S_ARCHIVE with the ACTVT 01 is displayed as risk. As you can see in the screenshot, there are no activites maintained at all. We have created the MSMP workflow where all CUP requests with risks should go the the Security Stage. Now we have the situation that even though our roles are clean, they are forwared to the Security stage. It is a huge problem, because our security stage has no even more to to, than before using GRC! Because the dectivated objects are identified as risks.
Please advise me, how to solve the problem. Did I missed some config parameters or is it a well known problem?
We are on SP14, AC 10.0.
At the single role level there are no risks displayed.

Migration from VIRSA 4.0 to GRC 10.0 (ARA)

Hi Guys,
We've just migrated from VIRSA 4.0 to GRC 10.0. We have only two connectors configured ECC and Finace System.
Rules have been generated and we're using the standard "global" ruleset. The rules seem to be generated successfully ( I've checked in the NWBC that the permissions appear after the risk generation and also I've checked some tables like GRACSYSRULE and GRACACTRULE and risks appear there).
When running a risk analysis report at user level in both the system VIRSA 4.0 and GRC 10.0 the no. of conflicts matches where as no. of mitigation doesnot match.Due to this mis-match we are not in a position to go 100% LIVE with GRC and decommisioning VIRSA. We use concept of mitigated roles and not users. Raised the concern with SAP too 2 weeks back and no luck yet.
Does anyone faced a similar issue? can you give me some light in order to solve the issue?

GRC 10 Role Management - Mass Role Derivation

Hi All -
Does anyone know if it is possible to propagate the authorization data from multiple parent roles to their relevant child derived roles in mass in GRC 10?
Using the standard 'Role Management -> Role Maintenance' feature you can propagate one parent role's auth data to all it's children derived roles; or alternatively if accessing one child role you can copy the auth data from the parent role. Either of these options would require you to open each parent role or each child role to push/pull auth data from a parent role to a child role.
If this is not possible, it seems to leave a gap in the process of creating derived roles in mass?
Via the 'Role Mass Maintenance -> Role Derivation' feature you can create derived roles in mass across multiple parent roles with multiple levels of derivation from each using Org Maps. This will crate my derived roles and populate the organizational values only in PFCG. You can also update the derived role's org values in mass if they change by updating your Org Maps and using the 'Role Mass Maintenance -> Derived Role Org values Update' feature.
However these features do not propagate the non-org authorizations from the parent roles. Without a way to push/pull the non-org authorizations from the parent to the child, creating all the derived roles in mass doesn't quite actually create usable roles.
I've noticed when propagating authorization on a one-by-one basis, GRC creates a background job "Auth Data Propagate". I'm really just hoping there is a way to do this in mass and I am just missing the obvious. I also know it would be possible via an eCATT script directly in SAP, but I'm looking specifically for options via the GRC tool.

I actually just received a "final" response from SAP OSS support on this one. Had a note open for the past 9 months or so where apparently the product management & development teams were discussing this issue. The last update I received was about 10 days ago and essentially said this is not currently part of the tool:
"This is an enhancement and is not currently supported. We will take it up in a future release. Please log this in the ideaplace under Access Controls"
While I respect the decision, I can't necessarily say I agree that a "Mass Derivation" tool is working as intended if it cannot push / copy authorizations from a parent to a child role. If it can't create roles that are actually usable it would seem to be an issue with the current solution rather than a future enhancement imo.
The best workaround to this, is to utilize an eCATT script to go through all your derived roles you create in mass via GRC and have it go into PFCG and 'copy from' the parent authorizations and then regenerate the profiles. That will give you actually complete & usable roles in a semi-automated fashion.

Create mass activity upload

I have an external list (excel spreadsheet) of customers that we have sent a specific letter to. Is it possible for me to pull the customer numbers from this spreadsheet, and then have CRM create a business activity for each of these customers. The activity itself will be generic, with the same categories and text for each activity. I would like to be able to do this as a mass upload if possible. I have found the tx CRMD_MKT_PROC however I have not been able to assign the spreadsheet values via this transaction - it works from info sets.
Does anyone have an idea on how I could achieve this? At present, the marketing part of CRM has not been utilised at all so I do not yet know my way around this part.

Thanks, that got rid of the error I was having (I had to pick "create" however as nothing had been maintained so "change" was not available). However, now when I go to save this, I get a runtime error and short dump. Any ideas on this?! Also, when I go to the Data after mapping tab, it doesn't show any data, so I've gone wrong somewhere with this as well? I am picking up the mapping format I created, but it doesn't seem to be flowing through.
Any help is greatly appreciated - having not worked with any of the marketing functions yet this is all a bit of a steep learning curve to see how it all fits together!!

Mass updating/uploading of a price list

Hi,
Need to know if there is a way to mass update a price list. For example, I have 1000 items on price list 3. I need to update the prices of all items in the list and there is no definete factor. Since there is no definete factor I need to update all manually and since there are many items, need to know if there is a way to upload the prices for a specific price list.
also need to know if there is any way to update the "Last Purchase price" list

thanks for the details. I still have an issue on this. I have used the templates and tried to upload the price list and face the following problem.
First, I am not clear as to what the field "LineNum" in the "Item_Prices" template means. I assumned that this was the price list number, but even though the upload says that all items were successfully updated, I cannot find any price list that has the updated prices... all lists still have the same old price... : (
Now I am confused... Need some help on the below:
1. LineNum : Is this the price list number ?
2. I have manually maintained some of hte prices, can they be updated ?
3. What about the prices that are taken as a factor of a base list ( like 1.3x Last purchase price...)
Need some help urgently on this please...

Perform IMG setting 'Display employee photograph' under IMG->Personnel Mgmt->ESS-> Service-Specific Settings ->Address book->who's who->Maintain settings.
Or
IMG activity -> Employee Self-Service -> Employee Self-Service (ITS Version) -> ESS Settings for Specific Services ->Office-> Who's Who/User's Own Data (ESS): Determine Functions :
There is an option called Display employee photograph, please check this check box.
