GRC AC 5.3 | CUP Request Type = Information

Hello All,
We have recently deployed GRC 5.3 and have seen in many demos by different partners that GRC CUP has request Type: "Information" which is used to search and view information about request types.
During our implementation of CUP we didn't realize that some users would have difficulty in choosing Request types such as New/Change/Unlock etc, so we didn't bother configuring anything. But there are users who, for some reason, unable to select the right request type.
I would like to know how do I configure Information request type where users can search information about request types? I was able to create the request type but not sure what action to assign to it or do I even need to?
Any documentation or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks Raghu but I did try the wiki page section:
"Configuring Requestor Landing Page for Compliant User Provisioning (PDF 220 KB")
The purpose of this article is to provide the procedure required to customize the requestor landing page i.e. the request types on the request access screen in compliant user provisioning in SAP GRC Access Control.
but I get the error message that:
"Sorry, the page or document you've requested can't be found on our site (404 error). It may have been moved or removed, or (yikes!) the site may be down."

  • Values Under CUP Request type Available Actions

    Hi Experts,
Please let me know the concept of option avaiable actions under option Request Type. How CUP perform the mentioned action exactly under request type? From where i can configure these actions?are these default?
    Thank you,
    Mukesh

    Hello Mukesh,
Actions are basically activities that you can perform using a request during provisioning. You have the following actions available in requests to use:
1.Create User u2013 create the user record during provisioning
2 Change User u2013 change the user record during provisioning
3 Delete User u2013 delete the user from the target system during provisioning
4 Lock User u2013 lock the user in the target system during provisioning
5 Unlock User u2013 unlock the user in the target system during provisioning
6 Assign Roles u2013 assign roles to the user during provisioning
7 Superuser Access u2013 give superuser access to the user during provisioning
8 User Defaults u2013 action to apply user defaults to the user during provisioning
You can configure them by going into CUP configuration -> Request configuration -> configuring request types. Here when you select a request for eg. "Change" you click on edit. When the request opens up on next screen, there are 2 panels available on the bottom of the screen. One lists the available actions and other one lists the assigned ones. Click on the Go button available on the available actions panel and you should be able to see the above mentioned actions. You select any one of them and move that one to assigned actions panel. Once you save, then in that request type you would be able to perform that particular selected action during provisioning.
Please refer to the configuration guide available on SAP Service Market Place for more information about this. You can find this documentation from the below location on SMP:
Logon to service.sap.com -> Software Download -> Release & Upgrade info
-> Installation & Upgrade Guides -> SAP BusinessObjects ->SAP BusinessObjects Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) -> Access Control -> SAP GRC Access Control 5.3.

  • CUP: Request type change account-  Change of user data other than roles

    Hi Experts,
I am using the request type change account to change the user type and/or validity of the user. In the description of this request type it says I can use it to request additional access and other changes to an account. Yet when i try to change user validity.. CUP asks me to select one role when I try to submit the request..
Is there any thing else that I need to do so that the request type works for account changes as well?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Go to End Configuration -> End user personlization, select the checkbox next to 'Roles' and click on change. Change the 'Manadatory' dropdown to 'No'. Now, save the changes and create the change request.

    Hi,
As per error log, sounds space issue.
"ERROR com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No more storage space available for extending an internal table. com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No more storage space available for extending an internal table."
Check the tablespace with your Basis guy and increase it if neccessary.

  • Role created in ERM is not appearing in CUP request for assignment-GRC 10.0

    Hi,
    We are on GRC 10.0 - SP5
We have created a role in ERM and it was succesfully created in backend system. However when we tried to assign the same role using CUP request - the role is not appearing.
    1) Do we need to upload roles for CUP  in GRC 10.0 (similar to 5.3) to populate. Will the role doesnot automatically appears in GRC database for CUP as it is created through ERM?
    2) If the roles are imported in ERM with role owner information, does the same reflects for CUP also for role owner approver assignments?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Srihari.K

    Hi Sri,
Is the role status set to "production" ??
    Cheers,
    Diego.

  • How do I set CUP to display the different request types user-interface?

How do set CUP to default into the initial Request Access screen with request links? The one that lists different request types for end-user to click on the link of the preferred request type?
I am running GRC 5.3  and when I click on CUP from the lauch pad, the system takes me straight to the My Work tab, and I don't want users to request access at that level.
I would want them to initially see the request access link, and choose a request type by clicking on a request type link (without having to log-off and log back on in order to see the link).
Thank you in advance for help in this..
    Regards,
    Odwa

That is a good point. You would only achieve hidding the link there as well - and would make the launchpad difficult to use for users who do want to logon first.
This is a case comparable to using ST01 on performance optimized coding while "testing" with SAP_ALL. It looks like you need full access (*) to do anything, until you test it with the enduser role...
Perhaps we can have some infos here from the OP on what this change is intended to achieve? Probably there is a better solution than changing the stylesheet.
    Cheers,
    Julius

    Hi holm0104,
Did you add custom code into the project? Can you reproduce the issue in a new project without custom code?
If not, did you have issue when you create a normal web application?

It's possible the upgrade did not update everything properly as it looks like a dll mismatch or a missing file. I'd open a support ticket with MS and have a support engineer look at the upgrade logs. What version of SCOM did you upgrade from?

  • Request Type not Visible in CUP

    Hi,
We are in the process of configuring CUP.
We have uploaded file AE_init_append_data _CC.xml into the initial system data of CUP. But Request types MITICRLC etc are not visible in CUP.
Workflows for RAR are visible in CUP-> CONFIGURATION->MISCELLANEOUS
    Any clues.
    Regards,

Please check if you have activated the RAR workflows in CUP-> CONFIGURATION->MISCELLANEOUS along with proper exit URIs and User ID password details.
Once these workflows are activated only then you will be able to see the corresponding details under request type, priorities etc for RAR workflows.

  • Add Fields in CUP Request - SAP GRC Access Control 5.3

    Dear Friends,
I am wondering on how to add fields value in CUP (Compliant User Provisioning) SAP GRC AC 5.3.
Currently i'm leading 9 SAP Security Coordinators in Indonesia and i want to create Performance Metrics on how long the CUP Requests is processed. It needs to enhance the CUP by adding value Delegation of Authority and the record no. of the DOA requests.
Really appreciate your inputs on how to add fields value in CUP.
    Thank you so much

  • CUP. How to remove a deleted active Request Type from Request Access screen

    Hi,
I created a new Request Type in CUP, assigned actions, marked it active and saved.
I then deleted the Request Type without first marking it as inactive.
The request type is still visible on the 'Request Access' page but no longer visible on the 'Request Type' screen in Configuration.
Is there a way to remove this from the 'Request Access' page without rebooting?
    Thanks,
    Babak

Dude I just helped you pass the 1000 point barrier.
Excellent answer, refreshing the cache in the Miscellaneous section worked.
    Well done.

  • GRC AC5.3 CUP Requests Transaction Data Migration to 10.1

    Hi,
We are starting a new upgrade from AC5.3 to AC 10.1 project. In migration document it mentioned that we can migrate CUP requests transactional data to 10.1.
our management is asking to maintain the CUP transaction data in AC10.1 application for future reference for auditing requirements. After closing of all old CUP requests we need to migrate CUP Requests Data into 10.1.
Is it possible? If possible, Please let me know if there are any challenges from your experience from your upgrade projects of same requirement.
    Thanks,
    Sathish.

    Hi Ram,
    Good Day,
Is that possible to download old CUP request as PDF  format in AC 10.1 as part of  data migration

  • AE/CUP Request Reason Table

    Hi everyone,
When filling out a request form in Access Enforcer / CUP, there is an open text field called `Request Reason`.
Can someone tell me which table in GRC contains the data entered here and where is the link between this Reason and the Request Number, and Request Type.
I think the table for Request Reason might be VIRSA_AE_RQ_RESN.
Any ideas, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Babak

    Bhanu-
You cannot have the Request Reason filed mandatory in AE 5.2, unless you customize the application on the Java level.
This will have to be done by training your users to fill in the Request Reason everytime they create a request...

  • Coded UI -Unit Test Adapter threw exception: Unable to load one or more of the requested types

I am working on silver light bases share point application using visual studio 2012 with C#
While debugging  coded ui tests with ui maps  i am getting this error.
I have taken the solution developed by team member containing test methods and trying to debug/run the test methods which contain ui maps I am getting
Unit Test Adapter threw exception: Unable to load one or more of the requested types.Retrieve the loader exceptions property for more information.
When i exclude the tests that depend on ui maps and debug/run remaining test methods I am not getting this error and able to run/debug test methods successfully
But when I include the test methods related to ui maps and tried to debug i am getting this error.
    Please help me in this.

    Thanks for Fouad's help.
    Hi usha.talasila,
    >>Unit Test Adapter threw exception: Unable to load one or more of the requested types.Retrieve the loader exceptions property for more information.
Generally this error would be related to the references. Like Fouad's suggestion, you would check whether there are specific references in your test project, and then right click the reference->property, and then set the Copy Local =true.
    Best Regards,
    Jack
