GRC AC Install

The installation Guide says Enterprise Portal is an optional component of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SP 12. It is required if you
install the file VIREPRTA00_0.sca.
Based on this statement, my question is since GRC AC 5.3 is an addon on standalone Netweaver 7.0 Java stack, should I use Usage types AS JAVA with EP &; EP Core during install
"or"
I will use only AS JAVA during install of standalone stack  and install EP on a seperate system.
Thanks,
Haleem.

Thanks Alpesh for helping me out. I have one more question for you.
So, my understanding is that, after I will install (3) EP RTA on the standalone WAS system (with usage types AS JAVA, EP, EP Core), where I have already installed GRC AC 5.3 Add-On. next, I will install RTA on backend systems such as (ECC, HR, BI etc).
My 2 queries are
1. Can I install another EP RTA on a seperate EP System (considering this seperate stanalone EP System as another backend system just like ECC, HR, BI etc)?
If my above statement holds right, then it would mean I will have EP RTA on front end ( containing AS JAVA, EP, EP Core with GRC AC 5.3 Add-on) as well EP RTA on backend system (locaton of standalone EP Server).
2. Does SAP support the GRC Architecture having EP RTA on the front-end as well as EP RTA on the back-end?
Pl. correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks,
Haleem.

  • What a basis admin can help with GRC except install/upgrade?

Our basis team installs and upgrades GRC.
However when coming to the support for GRC, we are not sure where to draw the border line between
    basis team and security team.
What is the responsibility of basis team in GRC area?
    Thanks  for your help.

    Hi Jennifer,
There is no real clear cut answer for this! Where do you draw the line for the other ERP systems?
It really depends on your own support structure and the skills of the individuals. I would ask your Application Support Mgr to confirm / define the remit with those involved.
Having said that, I would suggest that the technical landscape management and connectors would lend itself to the basis / netweaver analysts role. You may also want them to deal with the assignment of the webservices and the connectivity of the components to each other.
The functional configuration would tend to lend itself to the security team though as I expect that they would be more business focussed and be able to design the way in which the tools should be used by the business.
    I hope this helps?

  • GRC AC 10 Installation on Which System?

    Dear All,
I am new to GRC and have been asked to install it at my current company.  I have done the training almost 2 years ago but haven't had the chance to use it until now.
Apologies for the basic questions, I have searched but cant find a suitable answer.
My company only has Dev, Test and Prod as well as a sandbox which is a copy of Prod.  I've installed AC10 on the sandbox.  We are only using EAM and Risk analysis. I'm still working on the risk config but EAM is up and running fine.
    My questions are:
    1. Can I install the Add on in DEV and have test and Prod connected to Dev?  I'm seeing that the best practice is to install it on a separate stack, but we don't have that option.
    2. What are the risks in doing this?
    3. Is there a better way?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Debbie

    Hi Deb
SAP installation guide recommends GRC is installed as its on component. Plug-ins are then installed to the ERP/ECC or any other system you intend to connect to GRC.
I have heard of cases where clients attempt to cut costs by installing on Solman or ERP. I think you will run the risks when you do support stacks - e.g. Basic release/sp as GRC may not be compatible with latest release.
I recommend you have a read of the Installation Guide in the marketplace for further information.
You do not need to have a instance for each environment. For example, you could have 2 GRC instances - one of non-prod and one for prod. Add your sandpit, dev, QA to non-prod for your connectors. You will need to consider your testing strategy which may come back to how much functionality you are using (workflow, etc)

  • Stable API's for GRC 2010 - simulation function needed

    Dear gurus,
I have an ABAP application I want to integrate with GRC 2010 (on the ABAP stack). I understand this is ramp-up and not all API's are available yet, but need one which is pretty basic so was hoping it would exist with documentation and is released.
    My intention:
    1) The user with various authorizations already exists.
    2) My application wants to generate an additional role for the user because they are missing some auths during testing of the roles.
    3) Each authorization generated should call the GRC API to simulate whether this would cause an SOD for the user.
    4) I will generate and assign anyway, but export those authorizations for which SOD warning messages were raised.
    5) Messages are logged for rework / mitigation, but the role build and test can continue.
Is there any documented API with a stable interface for a function which returns messages based information for SOD's which can be reacted to for an existing user and all their ABAP authorization object based auths AND a simulation of whether authorization data sent to it would produce an SOD.
Plan B would be to generate the role and simulate the assignment and return messages of which auths in the role caused the SOD.
I would expect that GRC is open minded enough to release such APIs to the ruleset , but if I am mistaken then "show stopper" answers are also appreciated as being a lesser evil...
    Cheers,
    Julius

    Thanks Supreet,
I know that GRC can do an SOD check and also simulation of an SOD check "as if" the user had an additional role (which you want to assign but know in advance whether that will cause an SOD conflict). In it's previous life on the ABAP stack it was known as "Risk Rerminator". I am aware of the "old" /VIRSA/ function modules and the coding technique they used.... but have some doubts that GRC 2010 still uses those nor the same approach, which is why I am looking for a stable API.
My application makes the assumption that GRC is already installed and wants to generate a role for a user based on a test case they are executing. In my UI where the trace data is being analyzed, I want to add some intuitive highlighting and warnings for SOD conflicts which would happen if the role were generated and assigned.
At this ponit in time, the role does not actually exist yet so ideally I would want to send the API the authorization data and not just the role name. I could however for simplicity sake generate the role anyway but need at least the API to tell me which authorizations in the role are causing the SoD conflict with the user's already existing authorizations.
I am very much hoping to find something like a BAPI_GRC_SIMULATE_SOD which is documented and stable and offers an import parameter with a structure something like this for the authorization data:
    OBJECT                         CHARACTER       10
    LFDNR                          NUMC            3
    FIELD                          CHARACTER       10
    LOW                            CHARACTER       40
    HIGH                           CHARACTER       40
    MODIFIER                       CHARACTER       12
    MODDATE                        DATE
    MODTIME                        TIME
... together with the user name of course, and then returns SOD warnings per OBJECT and LFDNR (which is just a sequencial number for the authorization instance).
Of course it only works if GRC is installed....
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Suggestion needed urgently !!!!!

    Hi Experts,
    Our system configuration is
    Usage: Central User Administration
Component Version: Web AS 620 ABAP
    Operating System: AIX 5.2
    Database: 9.2.0.6
    DB Size: 110 GB
We also have GRC products installed and as per OSS notes there are limitations of using CUA with GRC products. (Note 1099011 - Limitations of using the CUA with the GRC products)
We are planning to upgrade the current CUA to NW AS 700.
We have following types of child systems are connected with CUA
    APO 3.0A, SAP Solution Manager 4.0, CRM 5.0, SAP SCM 4.0, SCM 4.10, SCM 5.00, SAP NetWeaver 2004s, Netweaver 04, SAP ECC 6.0, SAP R/3 Enterprise, R/3 release 4.6C
Please suggest what will be impact of CUA upgrade to NW AS 700.
What will be features and benefits of the same?
    Please suggest urgently.

Fixed it with the help from a very clever colleague, thanks again to him :)
We put two partitions (in my case) PT_Transformation_Called and PT_Transformation_Calling in, also two CSS with the respective Partitions within them in the system. Afterwards removed all manipulations elsewhere, for example routepatterns or routelist, set these to "Cisco Callmanager".
Then put in some Calling and Called Transformation Patterns, on exactly these partitions, where i do my needed Digit manipulation and setting to TON and Numbering Plan.
Then i used these new CSSs on the endpoint itself, thats their only purpose, doing the transformations THERE.
So my "Called Party Transformation CSS" is now "CSS_Transformation_Called", and the "Calling Party Transformation CSS" is now "CSS_Transformation_Calling", under "Call Routing Information - Outbound Calls". Thats it. I can do any manipulations now there, quite comfortable.
Thats the lesson from my colleague i got yesterday, solved my problem, everything regarding that works now fine.
More time left for my other problems now, for example a CUPS installation that stops after a while now everytime, with an unrecoverable error...nice... :(

  • Risk Analysis for Third party ERP system

We want to perform offline risk analysis for third party ERP(SRM) system.... We have already GRC system installed with Global rule set for SAP ERP & want to have another ruleset for offline risk analysis.
Just would like to have a confirmation for below steps & estimated time for this.
Activities Need to be performed from Our side(Client) :-
    1) Send the RAR format for Users/Roles/Actions & Permissions.
    2) Cross Verify the format.
    3) Create the connector for stored files.
    4) Upload the files via Data Extraction utility.
    5) Generate the ruleset for SRM(third party).
    6) Schedule the various background jobs.
Activities Need to be Performed from Third Party - HUBWOO(Owns SRM ERP system) :-
    1) Convert users/action/roles and permissions files to RAR format.
Activities need to be Performed  from SAP :-
    1) Provide the ruleset for HUBWOO SRM system.
Please let me know if I missed any step above & estimated time to complete from our end & did anyone has come across ruleset for HUBWOO system..?
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Thanks all for your reply,
Alpesh, but still I have small concern here, when SAP provide the ruleset files, it also provides for Oracle, People soft & JDE ERP.
Though these are also third party ERP's for SAP...?
Does it mean that we can'task for ruleset for other third party ERP from SAP...? or does SAP Charge something for it..?
    Thanks

  • MalformedRequest - Enterprise Portal

When provisioning UME Groups from GRC 5.3 AC CUP SP11 to the same java instance where GRC is installed, I periodically notice that the Group does not get provisioned. The CUP request is processed without any header errors but when I review the details in the audit log area of the reques the following error message is there:
User Provisioning failed for System(s) : ***. Error Message : malformedRequest
    User data source is: LDAP
The most fustrating part of this issue is that it does not happen on every CUP request. Everything can be identical (ume groups selected, etc) except for the user information, and the request may process correctly or it may fail with the above error. I have checked the parameters on the EP-type connector, I've also reviewed the Field Mapping for this connector as well. Everything has been defined as outlined in the documentation.
    Any insight is appreciated.

I'm seeing the same error...were you able to find a resolution?
    Thanks,

  • How to Insert values in virsa_cc_config table?- Post Installation of RAR5.3

    Hi Experts,
We checked in the debugger that the values 105,106 &107 are not added in the virsa_cc_config table.
Where to add the values in the table? In J2ee database or in server database (which is oracle for us)? When we searched in oracle data base this table doesnot exist.
So we believe it has to be inserted in J2EE database. If yes, can somebody help us how to check and insert the values in the respective table in J2ee database
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Srihari.K

    Dear Sri,
Yes this table resides in database where GRC is installed.
To insert these lines, you need to login into GRC server-
if it is windows goto -
    sqlplus /nolog
    connect /as sysdba
    run this command
INSERT INTO SAPSR3DB.VIRSA_CC_CONFIG (CNFGPARAM, CNFGSEQ, CNFGVALUE) VALUES
    ('105', 0, 'http')
    INSERT INTO SAPSR3DB.VIRSA_CC_CONFIG  VALUES ('106', 0, '<port number>', 'J2EE Engine Port')
    INSERT INTO SAPSR3DB.VIRSA_CC_CONFIG  VALUES (107, 0,'http://<fully qualified hostname>:<port number>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/grc~ccappcomp/BgJobStart','BgJobStart URL')
    Commit;
Put your hostname and port accordingly and run.
Let me know if it works.

  • ECC 6.05 IDES - /GRCPI/GRIA_USR_GET_RANGES not found errors

    Dear colleagues,
We an ECC 6.05 IDES system.  I noticed today there are between 5000-10000 runtime errors occurring daily.  The error is: Function module "/GRCPI/GRIA_USR_GET_RANGES" not found.  The main program is SAPMSSY1.  I suspect someone has been playing around and somehow activated the call to this function module.
Does anyone know how to disable this?  I attached the runtime error output for reference purposes.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Rex

    Hi Rex
Do you have a GRC component in your landscape and someone is trying to connect to the IDES ECC system where the short dumps are occurring?
    Extract of your ST22 dump.....
         Server-Side Connection Information
         System.............. "GRC"
         Client.............. 100
         User................ "ZS001SUP"
         Call Program........."CL_GRAC_AD_AUTH_MGMT_RFC======CP
         Function Module..... "/GRCPI/GRIA_USR_GET_RANGES"
         Call Destination.... "ZJAPNEET_ID5"
Do you have the plug-in for GRC 10 installed on your ECC IDES. The short dump is someone trying to call the function module from the GRC system. They more likely have a job scheduled which is why it is high number of short dumps
My issue is occurring on a standalone ECC 6.05 IDES system that is not integrated with any GRC system
That may be the case but the person configuring GRC may not be aware of that. Possibly the name of the Call destination may be a clue as to the culprit? Find out who is in the GRC system and have a chat with them.
    Regards

  • Risco de Instalação do GRC no servidor do ECC

    Boa tarde,
    Permaneço no aguardo.
    Atenciosamente

    Abs,
    Henrique.

  • Instalação GRC independente do NetWeaver atual

    Entao, sao 2 coisas diferentes:

  • GRC 10 Upgrade:unable to install the add-on

    Hi all,
Here I am facing another problem. I am basically working on SAP NW 7.3 ABAP. I have downloaded the
*51039481 SAP Access Control/SAP Process Control/SAP Risk Mgmt 10.0 * zip file from SMP.  My backend system is SAP NW 7.0. For that, I have successfully installed add-on GRCPINW_V1000_700_INST ->  K-103AGINGRCPINW.SAR.
Now I have to install the GRCFND_A_V1000_INST component. In the same download, I found this:
GRCFND_A_V1000_INST -> DATA ->K-V10AGINGRCFNDA.SAR. I presume that this component is suitable for SAP NW 7.3
i sucessfully uncarred this and placed in EPS/in folder. When I execute the SAINT in my GRC 10 system (SAP NW 7.3), it does not show me the add-on in the queue, therefore, I am unable to install this add-on.
I have upgraded the BASIS,ABAP,PI_BASIS and BW components to SP05.
Has any one has come across with such problem? Please share/help me on this.
    Regards,
    Faisal

    Hi Faisal,
All of the pre-requisites and documentation points to the requirement for NW7.2 for the GRCFND_A component. I am not aware that it is compatible as yet with 7.3.
Sorry, not particularly helpful in resolving the issue but hopefully it clarifies what I suspect you already worked out.

  • Install GRC Access Control 5.3 on Java only?

    Hello,
we want to install SAP GRC Access Control 5.3 on a stand alone system. We tried to figure out, if it's possible to install it on a NW 07 Java stack only or if it's necessary to make a add-in installation with Abap and Java.
For the backends and the RTA we need Abap, but also for the GRC itself?
    Thanks in Advance
    Ingmar
