GRC AC v10 NWBC: Configure LaunchPad for Menus

I would like to add a new menu Launchpad, but am having trouble getting it to appear in NWBC.
I followed the instructions at: http://scn.sap.com/community/grc/blog/2014/01/31/configure-launchpad-for-menus
However, it still does not appear.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
-john

Dear John,
did you authorize the end user for the application? If the user is missing authorization the work center is not applicable in the screen. Hence the user cannot see it.

Alessandro

  • GRC AC V10 - one approval step for manager and role owner

    Hello Community,
I have one, perhaps easy, question. Where is it possible to maintain the solution of one approval step for manager and roleowner, if both are unique.
    E.g.:
simple approval workflow: manager stage afterwards roleowner stage afterwards auto-provisioning
So if the request is routed to the manager and the manager is also the roleowner of the requested authorization role (same UserID). The user has to approve one and the same request twice.
Is it possible in V.10 to change the config that the user has only to approve the request once? And then to decide on which relevant stage settings are valid for this process.
    Thanks,
    Alexa

    Hi Alexa,
We have had a similar questions raised in a project. In an ideal world, a single "Sign-off approval" would be a great functionality where the same user has to approve the same consecutive stages, but the reason for different stages would entail that the responsibilities entailed per stage differ, e.g. Line Manager would just check the over request, and the role owner etc may be reviewing the elegibility of a specifc role etc.
If it is likely to be the same person reviewing the 2 consecutive stages, maybe a single stage workflow would be sufficient to cover this scenario.
I think the logic you are trying to configure in the workflow is possible but will require alot of work with knowing how to create a clever custom workflow with BRF+ or the actual WF stuff in SAP itself.

  • GRC AC v10 SPM WF - Workflow Item not showing up in WF Inbox

    GRC AC v10 - SP12
The outlook email notification for the Workflow Item goes out, but there is nothing in the NWBC Inbox for the WF Item. Subsitution is setup correctly.
    Any ideas?
    -john

    Hi John
this is probably be a silly question but what substitution did you set up for ZFF_CTL_01? I assume the item is in that user's inbox. Which user is meant to be receiving?
I also noticed this KB article (1589130) which mentions the delegated person needs GRAC_REQ authorisation. Have you checked if security access issue?
There was also mention that the delegated approver does not appear in the MSMP instance runtime (your screen shot suggests same situation unless you have not set up the delegation). SP14 delivers the fix or refer to  1915928 - UAM: Delegated Approver is not visible in the Instance status
Possibly have a look at both of them to see if they resolve your issue.
    Regards
    Colleen

  • The boot configuration data for your Pc is missing or contains errors: error code 0x000014c

    Hello,
See if any body may help here... I get this blue screen:
    RECOVERY
Your PC needs to be repaired:
The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors.
    file:\\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
    Error code: 0xc000014c
You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer.
Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings
First I was able to get into the option 11 and run the whole factory reset, i was so happy because I tought it will be easy.. but then after I did the factory reset.. I keep getting this blue screen. if I press ESC I get into this next screen:
    F1 System Information
    F2 System Diagnostics
    F9 Boot Device Options
    F10 BIOS Setup
    F11 System Recovery
    ENTER - Continue Startup.
this is what happen when I click any of this options:
F1 I get into the System Information with no problems, then I click <ESC> to continue and get back to the last screen... then I press F2 and super, I am able to run Memory Test and Hard Drive Check 100% with no problems in any of those, after I am done with my teste I press exit and I am back to the F1,F2, ETC menu... now I want to try F9, F10 or F11. bummer.. in this 3 options I get back to the blue screen described at the beggining of this post. (I already connect a USB with an boot loader, which works perfectly)
so I can't do anything, nothing at all!! crazzines.
So what I did to check why I can't get into the BIOS or at least to boot from my USB... I removed the botton cover of my laptop and removed the hard drive and that's how then I was or I am able to Log into the BIOS, - I did the changes to boot first from the USB and then from the HD and this is how I was able to boot from the USB - BUT If I connect back the Hard drive, I am not able to get into the BIOS or boot from the USB - so basically I am stuck in this blue screen and I can't boot from a USB if I have the HD connected.. I can't use any option.. no BIOS, nothing.. only if again, i disconnect the HD.
    This is an:
    HP ENVY TS Sleekbook 4
    PRODUCT NUMBER  D1A99UA#ABA
    SYSTEM BOARD ID: 1894
    Bios F.25
**** I though that by updating the BIOS I may be able to get help, nothing. What I did is, I removed the HD and then and boot from the USB and with a DOS command propmt I excecuted the Bios Update from F.21 to f.25... but again, when I installed the hard drive back, BUMMER, nothing I can't do nothing but this silly blue screen.
Any idea of what should I do?
    Thanks in advance.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

If you can't access BIOS with the hard disk connected, you certainly won't be able to boot to the usb recovery flashdrive. That is indicative of a failed hard disk.
Install a new hard disk and then boot to the recovery flashdrive.

  • How can I Create a Client Configuration File for RemoteApp and Desktop Connection with Server 2012?

I have a working RDS RemoteApp site and looking to test out the feature in Windows 7 Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\RemoteApp and Desktop Connections
I came across this link: Create a Client Configuration File for RemoteApp and Desktop Connection and I believe this is what I need to do first, but these instructions are for
    Server 2008, and I'm running 2012.
Any suggestions or tips on how I can begin testing this with Server 2012?

    Hi,
You can manually enter the path to the 2012 feed and it will connect and download the RemoteApps and Desktop connections.
If you need a sample .wcx file I have posted one here a couple of times.  If you want I will look for it and post a link.
    -TP
I tried adding my URL's below, these are sample links that work for me right now for when I log into the web page, but neither of these work.  And I'm not sure what I would need to do with or how to create a .wcx file.
When I type in my URL of: https://connect.mydomain.org/RDWeb, I get redirected to:
    https://connect.mydomain.org/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/Default.aspx

I'm trying to configure mwi for GDM and am not having much success. I tried a couple of different ways suggested in a discussion here:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3091135?tstart=0 but don't think I,m doing this the right way.
This is what the thread states:
x511 is a shared line with a corresponding GDM mailbox   (mine is x1007)
    x512 is a blast group with members x501 (phone A), x502 (phone B), and x503 (phone C)  *****I took 1008
x511 is call forward all to 512
The blast group at 512 forwards on no answer to voicemail
    x511 is assigned as a button on each of phones A, B & C
When an incoming call comes in to x511 it is immediately forwarded to the blast group at 512, and as a result, x501, x502, and x503 ring.  After 15 seconds (or whatever the no answer timer is set to), the call goes to voicemail.  Because the call went to x511 first, it winds up in mailbox 511.  After the message is left, an MWI ON message is generated for x511, which results in the envelope icon being displayed next to the x511 button on each of phones A, B and C.
Therefore If I change this to my configurations I think it would go like this:
When an incoming call comes in to x1007(GDM) it is immediately forwarded to the blast group at 1008, and as a result, x1001, x1002, and x1003 and 1004 ring.  After 15 seconds (or whatever the no answer timer is set to), the call goes to voicemail.  Because the call went to x1007 first, it winds up in mailbox 1007.  After the message is left, an MWI ON message is generated for x1007, which results in the envelope icon being displayed next to the x1007 button on each of phones A, B and C.
    Here is what I tried:
1: Configured GDM at extension 1007 and shared the extension to phones ext: 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 (instead of above mentionned x511). This extension works and can retrieve GDM no problem.
    dial-peer voice 1007 voip

    hold-alert 30 originator
2: Not sure what a blast group is but I believe it to be a parallel hunt group. Is this correct???
ex: voice hunt-group 2 parallel (This will make all included phones dial at same time correct???)
          list 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004
    voice hunt-group 2 parallel
    list 1001,1002,1003,1004
pilot ???  (not sure what to put here, i think it should be the pilot number 1008 correct???)
    pilot 1008
Therefore this is what i got:
    voice hunt-group 2 parallel
    list 1001,1002,1003,1004
    pilot 1008
Now I believe I need to create the dial-peer 1008 correct???
    dial-peer voice 1008 voip
description [-[ Hunt Blast Group ]-]

    session protocol sipv2
    session target ipv4:10.1.10.1
    dtmf-relay sip-notify
    codec g711ulaw
    no vad
Next I think I have to create ephone-dn for the hunt blast group correct???
    ephone-dn  9  dual-line

call-forward noan 1999 timeout 3    *****Should call forward all 1999 which is my voice mail correct ???
    hold-alert 30 originator
Then last I would configure lines on the phones pointing to the ephone-dn 9 on all listed phones correct??? or am I totally lost?...lol
    ex: ephone  4

    mac-address 0018.19B9.35BE
    username "operator" password 1234
    codec g729r8
    type 7961
    button  1:3 2:5 3:8 4:9  ***4:9 is the one correct???
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

Thanks very much for the help Rob. This command does indeed take care of having my GDM
light up but now if I try to send a message to the main phone line x1001 and leave a
message it only has the enveloppe now and doesn't light up...lol
It is a great command to know though...thanks a lot
Any chance you know if I can have both the main line and the GDM light up when they receive messages in their respective extensions?
    ex:
    ephone 4
    device-security none
    mac-address aaaa.aaaa.aaaa
    username "operator"
    type 7961
mwi-line 3   ****In my case this lights up the 1007 which is the GDM mailbox
    or
mwi-line 1   ***now my main x will light up but not the GDM...lol
button 1:3 2:5 3:8     ***Now for the personal mailbox
    ephone-dn  3  dual-line
    number 1003 no-reg primary
    label Operator-x1003
    description Operator
    name Sylvie Bombardier
    call-forward busy 1999
call-forward noan 1999 timeout 10   ****worst comes to worst i'll get rid of the operator personal mailbox and call-forward all to GDM 1007 on that phone
    translation-profile incoming no-prefix
Thanks very much again for your help. If you have any other ideas please feel free to add. I am definitely close to wrapping this issue. Funny cisco didn't configure GDM to also light up the phone extensions included in the GDM like the personal mailboxes when they receive messages.
Thanks very much again for the help. I really appreciate it.

  • Remote Desktop Service Manager - configure permissions for Remote Desktop Users to Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff

    Hello, dear colleagues.
We are using Windows Server 2012 R2 as Remote Desktop Server. Also use Windows Server 2008 R2 with Remote Desktop Service Manager to control RDS user sessions (Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff, Query Info).
Send Message, Disconnect, Logoff options works only for users in Administrators group.
I can't to configure permissions for Remote Desktop Users, specific user or AD group.
To set permissions I'm running RDS Host Configuration on Windows Server 2008 R2 and connect to Windows Server 2012 R2. Then double-click
RDP-Tcp, Security tab, add specific user account , AD group or configure
    advanced permissions
    for Remote Desktop Users.
But, as I sad above, these options works only for users in Administrators group. How to make it work for Remote Desktop Users or specific user, AD group?
    Thanks.
P.S. If move specific user from Remote Desktop Users group to Administrators group on
    Windows Server 2012 R2 - it works.

    Hi,
You can prevent administrators from changing the permissions for a connection by applying the
Do not allow local administrators to customize permissions Group Policy setting.
This Group Policy setting is located in Computer Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Security
Apart there is one command with which you can set the permission for that check the related
    article. Additionally checkthis
    thread for more detail.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Configuring Maven for a new Project

Could anyone provide inputs on how to configure Maven for a new project?

We are introducing a new feature in Flex 2.0.1 that's due out
early next year. The feature is called "Modules" and it was
discussed at this year's MAX 2006. You can read more about it on
    Roger Gonzalez's blog:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/rgonzalez/
    - check the "Modular Applications" articles. I think this will go a
long way to making the reusable parts you are talking about.
Flex does not build things from instructions unless they are
written in ActionScript. We have customers that do create dynamic
interfaces based on data loaded from a database, so it is possible.
But if you have pre-built templates and all you need to do is
change certain aspects at runtime, it should be pretty easy with
Flex. Take a look at the Flex documentation, especially the part
about the Flex framework and how Flex sources are compiled into
    SWFs.
You style Flex components using style sheets (CSS files).
This also includes specifying skins for components if you decide to
give something a whole new look.
I'm a bit biased here, but I think using ColdFusion (version
7.0.2) with Flex 2 is very easy. But it depends on your needs,
budget, deployment, etc. WIth CF 7.0.2 and Flex Builder 2 you get
wizards to be build both CFC (ColdFusion components) and matching
ActionScript objects so that you exchange objects, not just data,
    between Flex and CF.
WebServices can also be used (with CF, too). This gives you
more choices to the backend. If you have a large amount of data or
it is complex, consider Flex Data Services as that has data
    management capabilities.
Flex 2 has localization capabilties. You create a 'resource
bundle' in various languages and build SWFs for each one. When the
end user choses their preference, take them to the page that loads
    the appropriate SWF.

  • Error message while creating configurable material for variant configuration.

    Dear All,
I want to create configurable material for the purpose of variant configuration. When trying to create configurable material using mm 01 or mm k1, it is displaying an error message that internal number assignment is not possible for the material type configurable materials as well in using external number also. Can anyone specify the steps to be done in creating the configurable material. Thank you all.
    Regards
    Akula Sivaji Kumar Madhu Kiran

If you want to set these material type to another group (Which has a internal number and external number range), then you can do it.
In MMNR, Click on the Edit Group.
Then select the material type and click select element.
Then mark a tick option in another group and then press Element/Group.
Then you can see the material type will come under this group.
Now save your entry, and create a material with this material type.
