How can i restrict Employee type field "consultant" with valid from and valid to, maximum 6 months.

You'd have to talk to your LDAP people, but they'd have to maintain the field for external employees, then!
Why not create a different initiator for that employee type and make sure the approver takes care of that?

GRC AC 5.3 | CUP Request Type = Information
Hello All,
We have recently deployed GRC 5.3 and have seen in many demos by different partners that GRC CUP has request Type: "Information" which is used to search and view information about request types.
During our implementation of CUP we didn't realize that some users would have difficulty in choosing Request types such as New/Change/Unlock etc, so we didn't bother configuring anything. But there are users who, for some reason, unable to select the right request type.
I would like to know how do I configure Information request type where users can search information about request types? I was able to create the request type but not sure what action to assign to it or do I even need to?
Any documentation or help would be greatly appreciated.

HR triggers in GRC CUP.. How and when does this work
Dear Experts,
I would really appreciate if some one could shed some light on how HR triggers work in GRC CUP ?
When does this get triggered ?
Is it when the the user master record is saved or when the Info type 105 is linked ? Are there any pre-requisities that should be taken care from the Hr perspective so that I can set the expectations accordignly with HR team ?
P.S I already went through the article " How to configure HR triggers with GRC CUP ?

KumarI configured HR trigger rule for infotype 0000 & subtype Z1,field MASSN with value equal to 01 to trigger new hire...i don't see any data being populated into table /VIRSA/INT_TRIG & ?VIRSA/DATA.
I could see the rule in table /VIRSA/RULEATTR.
Any help would be appreciated.

Error while creating new connector in GRC CUP 5.3
Hi,
I am trying to create a new SAP Connector in CUP 5.3, when i fill in all the fields in the new connection and select "Test Connection" it says Connection successful and when i save it and look at the Available connectors, i am unable to see my new connector there.
Does anyone know why is this happening.
a quick response is appriciated.

I have the same issue when configuring connectors in CUP. I solved it in this way:
1- Go to RAR(Risk, Analysis and Remediation) --> Configuration --> Connector --> Search
2- Select one of the connectors and write down the values in the list box of the field JCO Destination.
3 - Now, go to CUP, and create the connector using the names writed down in step 2.
CUP will warn you with an error, ignore it, and then save the connector.
Note: when creating the connector in CUP, fill the fields, then save/create(here you will have the error msg), then Test Connection, and then save again.
That works for me!!!
PD: Always log in to GRC with the same language configured in CUP.

creating of infotype please follow these steps ...
Step 1: Create Infotypes
i. Goto Transaction PM01 To create Infotypes:
ii. Enter the Infotype Number and say create all.
iii. The following message would display:
i. PSnnnn Does not exist. How do you want to proceed?
iv. Click
v. A maintain Structure screen appears.
Fill in the short text description and the PS structure of the Infotype.
Since the fields Personnel No, Employee Begin Date, End Date, Sequential Number,Date of Last Change, Name of user who changed the object are available in the PAKEY and PSHD1 structure, define the PSnnnn structure with only the fields you required.
vi. Once the PS Structure is created, save and activate the structure.
vii. In the initial screen of PM01, now click on .
Create a new entry for the infotype.
Fill in the values as mentioned below and save.
Infotype Characteristics:
Infotype Name of the infotype_ Short Text: __Short Description________
*General Attributes :
Time constraint = 1
Check Subtype Obligatory
Display and Selection:
Select w/ start = 3 Valid record for entered data
Select w/ end = 5 Records with valid dates within the period entered

De activating the users upon user Termination in GRC CUP.
Dear Experts,
I have a requirement to de-activate users(should not delete physically) in SAP after the users are terminated. we are planning to use HR triggers for HR terminate event in GRC CUP
Q) I understand there is a De-provision functionality in GRC CUP. Will this delete users in SU01 physically ? Is there any way to use this functionality to deactivate the users ?

Delete request type will delete users in CUP. What do you mean by deactiving users? Do you mean to change the validity date of the users? You will have to use change request type if you want to change any other information in the user master record other than delete/locking/unlocking of the user.

Hi,
We have different SOD Approvers in approver matrix for risk level (high,medium,low)(risk levels from Risk Analysis and Remediaton system).I didn't see in CAD attributes(workflow) any risk level or risk ids to map priority ( high medium and low) for SOD approver.So, i cannot define or create SOD approvers for risk analysis levels(high medium and low).We are not using mitigated rule org attribute.

If i create custom field,Let say SOD Violations(RISK Level) with high,medium and low.When i do field mapping,where do i map.I cannot create connector to Risk Analysis and Remediation to map the fields.Looks like, i cannot segregate SOD approvers for SOD Violations(risk levels) in GRC CUP 5.3.

Custom option employee Type=distributor doesnt show up in attestion filter
Hi Experts,
I have added new option in user profile for employee type. i.e, in lookup.users.role added new entry "Distributor")
So right now we have(Full time employee,part time employee, intern, temp,consultant, distributor)
Now the problem is, when We try to create a new attestation with a filter user's employee type contains shows only the default fields but not the custom ones.
Is there any way i can bring up distributor option in employee type?

OIM performs the following query for English:

If the browser is in Spanish, OIM performs the query below:

the vales item1 to item4 are the spanish version of the employee types that I've set in the xlWebAdmin_es.properties. As the Lookup.Users.Role only has the items in English, the query returns empty. -

I have a weird requirement that I was hoping someone might be able to help/point me in the right direction. I have an OIM setup up and running but need to specify an employee type based on the organization the user is in. Does anyone know an easy way to set employee type based on the organization of the user? I was thinking of maybe doing a data object manager rule for pre-insert of the user to do the mapping, but wasn't sure if that was the right direction. Any help you can give on this would be appreciated.
Also, is there is a lookup for the employee types so that the list can be expanded beyond the full-time/part-time etc?
ThanksIn order to find organisation lookup, first you have to see Organisations.Organisations Name lookup and this will have mapping to Lookup.Webclient.Organisations.Search (similar to this).
So when you click on the lookup magnifier of organisation field in user creaytion page, the lookup Lookup.Webclient.Organisations.Search shows the list of organisations that has been created in OIM.
For Employee Type, you can add the new employee types directly in the lookup User.Roles. -
Not able to see Employee type supplier after upgrade to 12.1.2
We have custom responsibility for Payables Manager, after upgrade to 12.1.2 from 11.5.10, some of the employees are not able to see the Employee Type supplier, but some employees are able to see all. I thought this maybe related to Role so I tried to add the roles that are missing from the employees that are able to see all supplier, but didn't help. Anyone know where to look at this? Considering Active Directory is supposed to be all about business, corporations and enterprises, I find it staggering that in 2015 the ADUC console STILL does not expose the Employee ID field in the default UI without having to dig into the attribute editor.
And then only if you browse to the user in their OU, the Attribute Editor tab is missing when you just search for the user. This isn't really helping our organisation. I've just setup the tech preview version of the new server version, and that doesn't expose
it either.
I'm not sure how other organisations handle this (suggestions please?), but when a user rings up the service desk for a password reset, we either have to keep them on the phone while we dig into their user account and look for the Employee ID for them to
then confirm on the phone, or just take it on blind faith that they are who they say there are.
Please for the love of all deities, can you expose the Employee ID field on the main user panel without having to dig into attribute editor. It would also be useful to show this information directly on the reset password dialog box so there's no looking
up required. While you're at it, please can you add a date of birth field (if it isn't already there, I never seen one), and expose this on the main screen for the user, as well as the reset password box. This would give us two pieces of information to verify
the identity of the user on the phone.
All that being said, if anybody has a better way of identifying users on the other end of the phone, I'm all ears.

Transaction Type field not getting value in F-05 transaction
Hi All,
When ever we are doing a reverse posting for foreign currency valuation using F.05 Tcode it will create a BDC session where we can execute this batch Input session thru SM37.
This will use F-05 Tcode to post the the entries, but the problem is one of the field Transaction Type is not getting value for some of the GL account numbers range. This is totally SAP standard program take cares of it. Transaction type field value shuld be populated by '990' value for this GL account range, this is fixed. So is thr any User exit or Screen exit for this Tcode or how we can populate the value....

I am having the same problem.
When running F.05 a BIM is created for GL account X. GL account X has a field status in which transaction type is defined as a required field because of BCS / ECCS. We have a substitution rule in place which should default the transaction type, based on several criteria. But when executing the BIM, I see that nothing is filled in field transaction type. Did you find a proper solution for your problem? Changing the field status is not an option in my opinion.

PTP - Change to stock type field status configuration in Purchase Order
When creating or changing a PO for direct material - or even during goods receipt, the stock type field which by default is "X - Quality Inspection" can be changed to "Unrestricted Use" by the purchasing personnel. This is not in line with QA requirements where the change from QI to Unrestricted use can only be done by QA personnel.
Need to configure the system not to allow purchasing personnel to change the status.
Please tell me where i need to configure the above requirement.

You will need to change screen layout at document level in ME21N and ME22N. Follow below steps
SPRO -> Mateial Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Define Screen Layout at Document levle -> ME21N -> Look for Quality Inspection (I believe this is the field, I did not test it) and make it Display only. By default it comes as Optional entry.
