GRC upgrade to 530_46C taking in account CUA
Hello Guru,
I am actually running GRC 400_46C and we need to upgrade it to 530_46C.
I have been able to find a nice upgrade documentation on service.sap.com; however, I still have a question for you.
I have a CUA installed on my landscape and I was wondering if there is any particular actions/procedures that I will need to follow before doing GRC 530 upgrade.
In addition, if you have any recommendations/comments regarding this upgrade please share them with me.
Thank you and have a great day.
Regards,
MelHi Mel,
As far as I know, there are not additional settings required for CUA when you upgrade from 400_46C to 530_46C.

FaisalHi Sunny,
Thanks for your response.
Yes, I have seen it and other documents like installation guide on SMP and a dedicated forum for GRC 10 on this SDN, which is really very good and I got all the details from that only.
I wanted to check with the fellow users if they have ecnountered with any peculiar problem which I need to consider while doing.

Hi Experts
I am looking for advice on 2 things
1) Information/documentation on how to upgrade GRC 5.2 to 5.3 and all the implications.
2) Information/documentation on GRC 5.3 in general, such as install/config guides.
I will be very grateful for any help/links that you can offer me.
Regards
Mark WilloughbyHi Mark,
that's probably true for most of SAP. OTOH, getting a "step-by-step guide" without understanding the fundamentals won't be any better.
I've held the GRC300 course a few times, and it teaches the fundamentals as well as giving you hands-on excercises. The breaks get you in contact with other practitioners. From a beginners perspective definitely the best road to take.

Upgrade to GRC AC 10 and Integration with BI
Hello,
I am running a study to integrate GRC Acces Control 5.3 and business warehouse 7.02 and should install it to production soon.
We also have an upgrade to GRC 10 in the pipe.
I understood with OSS note 1667517 that no business content is delivered with this latest GRC AC version (version 10.0)
When the GRC upgrade will be done, do you know if I will be able to load and use reports created/activated with GRC AC 5.3 ?
Thank you
SebHi Jyoti,
When UNinstalling 5.2 have you uninstalled virsa~ccxsysdb.sda file.?????
As per the Upgrade guide we should not uninstall virsa~ccxsysdb.sda.
you need to redeploy the Database file named "virsa~ccxsysdb.sda" of CC 5.2 with the overwrite option in the SDM

How to Upgrade from SAP NetWeaver 7.01 to NW 7.02?
Hi Experts,
I am working on GRC upgrade project,we need upgrade to GRC10.0 from GRC3.0.
GRC 10.0 only work on NW7.02,we now have NW7.01.
How to Upgrade from SAP NetWeaver 7.01 to NW 7.02?
Use EHPI tools or just spam/saint or any other way ?
current version:
SAP_ABA 701 0006 SAPKA70106
SAP_BASIS 701 0006 SAPKB70106
PI_BASIS 701 0006 SAPK-70106INPIBASIS
SAP_01 0006 BW SAPKW70106
Thanks!HI,
Net wevaer 7.2 CE is totally different from Net weaver 7.01.
No relation i feel.kindly check the links.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/44/d958673ef05f4de10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
http://help.sap.com/content/documentation/netweaver/index.htm
OR
You do not need Netweaver 7.2 CE for using NWBC 3.0. You just need netweaver 7.02.
You simply need to apply enhancement package 2 on your existing 7.01 system to make it 7.02.
Please refer to installation guides on service marketplace, there you can see the EHP2 installation guides.
Also, see SAP Note 900000 - Netweaver Business Client - FAQ. This will give you all the details required.

Is GRC Compatabile with NW EHP1?
Hello,
Has anyone implemented GRC with AS Java--NW on EHP1?
As now NW EHP1 is there, so need to know, whether this is compatabile for GRC too....
please let me know, if any relevant help is there for this.
Thanks,
Anand.Hi,
If you want to upgrade your GRC system then it is not mandatory that you should go to EHP1...you can only upgrade your GRC component....
But if you want to upgrade your java stack as well to EHP1 then you can also do this thing...
For GRC upgrade you can see SAP note 1006083 and GRC upgrade guide which tells you that for upgrade of GRC to 530_700 you only need to Ensure that your SAP NetWeaver system is at version WAS SAP 700 Support Package 12.
If you need any other info please let me know
Thanks

Hi all,
I'm an italian PhD student working with Polytechnic of Bari.
I'd like to submit to this forum a question about LabVIEW and custom controls in form of ActiveX components.
Some introductory word about my problem will be helpful: in the past few months here at Polytechnic of Bari my colleagues and I developed some useful ActiveX controls with custom functionalities to use in LabVIEW.
For example we developed a "contraves", an
"endless knob" and a useful counter with a scale very similar to that of standard gazometers or energy counters.
However we are experimenting some difficulties with the integration of these controls in LabVIEW; the controls are correctly imported in our VIs with using the ActiveX Container but...
in the block diagram they appear as ActiveX references and we must use property nodes to access even their most useful property (value).
Please, do someone of you know if (and eventually how) is it possible to integrate more deeply the controls in the LabVIEW environment?
Do someone of you know if it exist an hypothetical "Custom Controls SDK" for LabVIEW more advanced of that integrated in LabVIEW 6.0?
Any hint would be appreciated.> Please can you specify in more detail how I can obtain the ActiveX
> refnum input automatically wired to a constant (I have observed this
> behaviour with the 3D-Graph control as you suggested). I haven't found
> any reference in the LabVIEW on-line help about the topic "merge-VI".
>
The first step is to build a VI that contains the panel and diagram
elements that you want to drop all at once. In your case, drop the
ActiveX control at a good size, and on the diagram, you can wire it to
helper VIs, property nodes, etc. The VI's icon and name are important
as that is what will show up in the palette menu representing your
control. The connector pane isn't used.
With the VI constructed, you want to add it to the palette menu. In the
Tools menu, Advanced, there is an item about half way down for
Customizing the Palette menu. You will need to build a New Palette Set
using the ring and name it whatever you like. You can now add your VI
wherever you like. Most likely you will want to right click to add a
new subMenu in the Controls palette and place it in a new .mnu file. In
the subMenu, right click to add Control. The file dialog will open
allowing you to select a control file to add to the palette. By
changing the filter from .ctl to all, you can insert VIs into the
controls palette.
All VIs inserted into the Control palette will act as merge VIs, meaning
that when dragged to a panel, the panel elements will be merged into the
destination panel, and the diagram elements will be merged into the
destination diagram.
For others that want to have these on the Functions palette rather than
the Controls, you add the VI to the Functions palette, then popup on the
palette item and check the menu item to make it a Merge VI.
When it comes time to distribute, you will want to give out your .mnu
file and the VI of course. Easiest is to place both of them in
user.lib. If you want the items to go at the top level of the palettes,
then you can add them to add-ons inside of vi.lib, but this causes more
upgrade challenges.
Hope that helps.

Challenges in GRC 10 for PC 3.0 upgrade
Hi All,
We are in the process of upgrading from PC 3.0 to PC 10.0
We would like to know if there are risks and challenges faced during this upgrade. We would appreciate your experience in on how those can be addressed.
Thanks,
KashifHello,
There are two ways con test the user.
The first one you can try, is to set up the user you have create on the backend, into the JCO connector, where you can configure the authentication with the user and password you have create on the back end system. On the JCO screen (portal side) there is a button to test connection.
The second one, is to create a new RFC (you have to create one any way) on the PC Abap instance, use SM59 and set up the user and pass you have on the back end. Then test connection and authentication. Of course you can not use a remote login, but that is how you can test the connection.
Please let use know if your doubt is solved. Write again otherwise.

SAP GRC NF-e 10.0 - Problema durante Upgrade (mensagem /XNFE/APP 011)
Sender: BATCH_BatchProcess_006
Receiver: CLNT100TND (Mandante 100 do Sistema TND)
Receiver Interface Namespace: http://sap.com/xi/NFE/006
Receiver Interface: BATCH_nfeRecepcaoLoteResponse_IB

Challenges while Upgrading from OBIEE 10g to 11g
Hi Gurus,
This is Kiran again. This time I am back with the upgradation issues. We have a client which is currently on OBIEE 10g. All components are already configured in OBIEE 10g with client on RPD, Catalog and implemented all security levels for those.
Now the challenge is to upgrade all activities which we have configured in OBIEE 10g. I have seen lot of stuff online and understood how to upgrade from OBIEE 10g to OBIEE 11g by simply clicking on ua.bat file. But I am unable to understand the process how it is upgrading the securities and environments.
Can anyone help me out by providing necessary stuff I need to take care of before taking the decision to upgrade from OBIEE 10g to 11g.
And also please clear me whether we will have any challenges in upgrading process. If yes, then what kind of challenges we will face and what kind of necessary steps we need to implement to resolve it.
What kind of Architecture we need to follow?
How Schedulers will get upgraded?
Please help me out with your real experiences (Not the online websites). Your response will be highly appreciated and it will help lot of OBIEE professionals who are in the process of upgradation.
Thanks in Advance to all OBIEE GURUS.
KiranHi Valli,
There is really great information available in this link. But I would like to know whether any one faced any issues while upgrading from OBIEE 10g to 11g. Please do share us few issues....

I have 100 forms designed in Designer 7.1. If I upgrade my designer to ES4, will I face any potential issues? Any one has done it before? what challenges we might face?
Hi,
A couple of problems we've had is Designer setting strict scoping on by default (it you added dynamic properties to JavaScript form objects as the garbage collection changed) and the way we used 'proto' elements (or form objects that show up under "reference nodes" in the hierarchy)
These blogs might help
