GRC5.3 RTA's!!

Hi SAP Guru's,
We are planning to install GRC5.3 for which we have the installation guide and done with the pre-requisities. Now, we are unable to find the RTA's which needs to be implemented on the backend systems (ERP6).:  Could you suggest me the URL and detailed navigation to download the RTA's in the backend systems. We have the following component already on ERP6:
Software Component   Release  Patch level
SAP_ABA          700     15
SAP_BASIS                           700     15
SAP_HR                          600     29
VIRSA                        400_700       9

  • Data Mapping Templates for NON-RTA Systems

    Hi all,
I'm designing n extractor for my NON-SAP System.
I've been reading the Appendix B: Data Mapping Templates for Non-RTA Systems from Configuration Guide - SAP GRC AC 5.3.
I have a couple of questions regarding the size of two fields in table ACTION PERMISSION OBJECTS TEMPLATE
Is correct the size that the documents says about fields:
ACTION (document says it's 20 but in other tables is 50)
PERMISSION (document says it's 10 but in other tables is 100
ACTVT (document says it's 10but in other tables is 50)
    Thank you in advanced.

    Hi Luis,
Yeah i will follow the recomendations but i'm updating some files to RAR and i've seen another kind of inconsistency such as in the table User File Template. Recomendation says that both FNAME field and LNAME field are 50 size each one but in my case i can update a FNAME 51 size and a LNAME 49, i mean between FNAME and LNAME it's 100 size.
    Cheers.

  • Implementing SAP GRC CC 5.2 - Help with RTAs for SAP 4.0B & 4.6B Needed

We are in the process of implementing the SAP GRC Compliance Calibrator 5.2 across multiple environments including SAP legacy systems.  Our key issue is that we cannot find any RTAs for SAP 4.0B and 4.6B.
I am positive that someone has done this somewhere out there so I am looking for any information and/or solution that you may have implemented to resolve this.
Would you be kind enough to send the information to me asap.  I can be contacted on my personal email [email protected]
    Many thanks,
    Carlos

    Dear Carlos,
    Available RTAs :
    SAP 4.6B and above
    PeopleTool 8.46
    Oracle eBusiness Suite 11.5.10
    Hyperion HFM 4.1.0
In order for target systems to connect to Compliance Calibrator, each Real Time Agent (RTA) must:
Have an entry in the operating system services file of the NetWeaver server
Server must be restarted before new client entries are registered
Be defined as a Technical Landscape in the System Landscape Directory (SLD)
Have a login account for Compliance Calibrator to use for connection
This account information is used for configuring the Java connections

  • Sequence of Installs of RTA and SCA files for GRC AC 5.3

    Hello,
I would like to confirm the correct sequence of applying RTA and SCA files for GRC AC 5.3.
    On ABAP Stack
1- Install VirsaNH RTA on ECC 6.0 System with SAINT
2- Install VirsaHR RTA on ECC 6.0 system which has SAP_HR
3- Install both VirsaNH RTA and VIRSAHR RTA on a system which is SAP HR
4- Install VIRSANH RTA on BI System. (There is no need of VirsaHR on BI system)
5- Install all Support Packages up to 10 or 11 for VIRSANH & VIRSAHR with SPAM
    Next
    On JAVA Stack
    6- Install
    VIRCC00_0.sca
    VIRAE00_0.sca
    VIRRE00_0.sca
    VIRFF00_0.sca
    7- Install VIRACLP00_0.sca
    8- Then install VIRACCNTNT.SAR
9- Next install EP RTA VIREPRTA00_0.sca
10- Install all Java patches for the above components
    Based on the above,
a- Plz confirm if the above sequence is right.
b- My question is can I install 6, 7,8, 9 with JSPM at once as one step?
c- Also can I install SCA files with JSPM first and then install RTA files on ABAP stack later?
d- Also we have BI system with ABAP & JAVA Stacks. Is VIRSANH sufficient for both ABAP & JAVA, or do we need an additonal RTA for BI JAVA ?
Thanks for your valuable inputs in advance.
    Regards,
    Haleem

    Hi,
    > 1- What is the UME of your BI Java stack ?
    >
    > Answer: We have installed BI JAVA, EP, EP Core, so we use SSO with EP and BI ABAP. So the portal is UME for BI Java stack.

Check below link which will answer your queries:
    Java RTA for GRC 5.3
    > 2- Check SAP Note 1174625 - Access Control 5.3 Java Support Pack Installation
    >
    > I checked the note 1174625, which says the following
    >
    > All of the sap.com/grc files have to be undeployed except the db and dictionary files for each component. The files that are NOT to be undeployed are:
    >
    > - sap.com/grc/ccxsysdb
    > - sap.com/grc/aedict
    > - sap.com/grc/redictionary
    > - sap.com/grc/ffdb
    >
    > Since this is a GRC AC 5.3 install on a fresh Netweaver 7.0 EHP1 Java stack install, do I need to undeploy all the above components, before doing AC 5.3 install, as mentioned in the note.
    >
This is used when you do upgrade your old GRC release to latest one. So if you are doing fresh install then you need not to do these steps.
    > 3- Also this note 1174625 answers to most of my questions, but does not mention anything about VIRACCNTNT.SAR.  Is >this SAR file installed on JAVA Stack or ABAP stack? Is there a OSS note on VIRACCNTNT.SAR?

This file contains Roles, Rules, functions for RAR, CUP, ERM etc. in txt files which you need to upload when you will do the configuration of GRC.

  • RTA, JCo & Connectors

    Hello All,
What is the difference between a JCO, RTA and a connector (in RAR config TAB). Please do let me know the same with relevance to the following scenario:
I have two SAP Development systems, whom I need to connect to one GRC DEV system (with RAR and CUP). In this case, what will be the RTAs, JCOs and connector (in RAR config TAB).
I am facing a lot of issues understanding this is I am a non-basis person but usually encounter these terms while doing the SAP GRC implementation as a security consultant. Kindly help me knowing these a bit better.
    Tx.
    Amitra

    Hello Sunny,
Thanks for answering. It clears a lot now. Can you please confirm based on the reply you just sent, if my assumptions to the scenario as under are are correct:
*Scenario:* i have 2 SAP systems, say DE1 and DE2, which are development systems, with no HR installed on either.
    *ASSUMPTIONS:*
Now, if I need to connect both of them to my GRC server, I would:
    1. Install VirsaNH on both DE1 & DE2, which are the backend systems.
    2. Create 2 JCO connections - one each for DE1 & DE2. These JCOs will be created from RAR tool. These two JCOs are in itself, a type of connectors.
Are the assumptions based on point 1 & 2 mentioned above correct?
    Tx.

  • RTA installation on backend system

    Hi Guys,
I have HR module in my backend system. I have completed my installation of the RTA (non-HR) and patch it to the latest patch (patch11). Now I need to install the RTA (HR) in the backend system but I found that the latest patch for the RTA (HR) is only on patch 0009.
Will that cause any problems for me?
    Thanks.
    Raymond

    Hi Raymond,
the patch-level of the non-HR and HR RTAs are not always the same. Just take the latest of both and you are fine.

  • Are HR & NHR RTA's necessary for RAR 5.3 to ECC6?

    HI all,
We have deployed AC 5.3 only RAR component .We have not applied the latest support patches RTAs(HR & NHR) to the backend system and the SP level of the backend system is low.
In this scenario, is there any way where can we pull the data from backend system for SU24-Authorization and static text data to upload into GRC Component. This requires to run the following programs i.e /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_DESC & /VIRSA/ZCC_DOWNLOAD_SAPOBJ. Since the RTA's are not installed, the above programs can't be run in our backend system.
We are connecting the backend system through a gateway server as currenlty our management doesnot want to use the tool on real time basis.
We would like to know the following :
    a) Does the above data necessary to upload into GRC? What impact will it have if it is not uploaded?
    b) Does ECC6 requires compulsorily HR RTAs or only NHR RTA's will do? What will be the impact if the RTA's are not applied
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Ambarish

    Hi Ambarish,
    You question -
    a) Does the above data necessary to upload into GRC? What impact will it have if it is not uploaded?
    b) Does ECC6 requires compulsorily HR RTAs or only NHR RTA's will do? What will be the impact if the RTA's are not applied
Yes, both the files need to be uploaded to get SAP Authorization Objects and Texts into GRC Server. Whithout it GRC server will not be able to recognize SAP provided authorizations.
Any backend system including ECC 6.0 requires RTA to get backend data into GRC server. You install NH if you dont have HR implemented into your system. But if you have HR then you have to install HR also to get HR specific authorization data into GRC server.
In any case RTA is a must to pull and sync data from backend to GRC.
    Hope it helps.

    Sabita

  • How to validate that Virsa RTA BAPI S have been transported to backend ?

    Hi all,
As part of post installation tasks, pre-implumentation guide for SAP GRC AC says steps to validate.I have following doubts regarding that checklist.
1.How to validate that Virsa RTA BAPI S have been transported to backend systems.?
2.how to confirm that VIRSA AE/RE  RTA  transports were successfully imported with no errors?
3.how to confirm that AE/RE BAPI exist in the system.?
4.how to check whether RFC user account is created or not?
    Thanks,
    Joseph.

    Hello Joseph,
Firstly Basis team do ot transport BAPI's related to GRC product.
This is add on product. They first install base component through SAINT and then through SPAM, support pack are installed.
You can go to spam and check as mentioned by Jasmine and if you don't have access to SPAM, then please go to Menu
System -> Status, click on the magnifying glass and check for component VIRSANH.
Basically what GRC delivers for connecting to Backend systems are not BAPI's, they are RFC's.
And all these start with name /VIRSA/.........

  • Convert AUs to Rtas or Rtas to AUs?

Is it possible to convert Logic Pro plugins (Audio Units) to Pro Tools plugin formats (Rtas)? I once saw a video on youtube with a guy working for pro tools that said it was possible to convert Vsts to Rtas.

No, it isn't possible. VST's can be 'converted' to AU and RTAS, but AU can not be converted into RTAS or TDM.
Also, the plugins that come with Logic are built in to the app and cannot be used by other (AU) hosts.

  • RTAs on different clients

    Hi,
    I have two questions:
    1) Would I need an RTA installation for every client in my system? For example, if I have three clients on my development system namely, client 100, 200 and 300. Would I need an RTA installation for client 100 AND client 200 AND client 300 or would I just need one RTA installation on the development system?
    2) When I want to use firefighter on more than one client (e.g. 100 and 000), do I need an additional installation for each client and perform the setup, configuration and masterdata on each one?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Mo

    Muhammad,
the installation is done in client 000.
You then do post-installation and configuration for each client - AC needs to do a connection to each client individually in order to separate the results (risk analysis, provisioning).

  • GRC5.2 password self service

    Hi Guys,
We plan to start with GRC5.2 with our backend system not having any HR module. However, we do have Travel Expenses setup with relationship of a user mini master.
I understood that in 5.2 Access Enforcer, the password self-service requires infotype (data container), subtype, field and description, from the SAP HR. Can these info also be obtain from a user mini master?
Can I setup the password self service even without HR module (only mini master is setup) within my backend system?
    Thanks.
    Raymond

    Hi Naveen and Amol,
I did checked on the Quick Reference guide and also have a look into the transaction invoved. When I checked on the transaction code (PRMM) for the user mini master, it looks the same as that in transaction PA30 (from the guide).  So, theoritically the info from the mini master does looks/match the same as that of the needed info from the HR master records.
I cannot confirm totally on my above statement and was hoping that someone who have tried it to share the experience or is able to guide me with the password self service in 5.2AE.
Thanks Guys..I do welcome more info or advises I can get as it does link critically on the version of GRC AC that the company has decide to implement and password self service is one of the selling point.
P.S: Hi JBS, sry but your links are either not working or pointing to the wrong info.
    Thanks.

  • GRC AC patch compatibility with higher RTAs

    Hi Experts,
Please let me know if GRC AC having lower level patch is compatible with backend having higher level RTA patch or not.
Example- Backend systems are upgraded to RTA patch 7(VIRSANH 7).
But as we are having a lot of issues in ERM patch 7, we want ot keep our ERM Production system at pathc level 6 until a fix is released by SAP.
Please let us know if there would be any issues or it will work fine if we connect GRC patch 6 system to Backend having RTA partch 7.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sabita

    Hi Sabita,
There is no backward compatibily supported by ABAP or JAVA versions of GRC today. So, I would recommend you to have ABAP and JAVA on same versions.
Pursuing the scenario that you have mentioned may lead to some functionality issues.

  • SAP GRC V10 RTA Query

    Hello All,
Currently we are in GRC 5.3 SP13.We are planning to migrate to GRC 10 with PLUGIN level 7.We are in process of upgrading GRC 5.3 to Sp16 before migrating to GRC AC 10.As per the note 1655924 and 1662113,we find that GRC PLUGIN is compatible with GRC 5.3 RTA's.
Can you please confirm upto which RTA Level GRC 5.3 RTA is compatible with GRC 10 PLUGIN 7.
    Thanks,
    Jagat

    Hi Jagat,
I don't think there is a hard dependency between the RTA VIRSA* and GRCPI* Plugin as each have a completely separate code base.
The dependency is really on the GRC 5.3 system so that the export utility can extract the data in the correct format and load into GRC 10.0 correctly (GRCFND_A).

  • Cannot find FF info in  ERM, CUP and RAR (GRC5.3)

I can only find FF info on the ABAP system txn  /VIRSA/VFAT.
But on the ERM, CUP and RAR (GRC5.3), I cannot find any info about FF.
Which menu path/tab should I go search?
    Thanks!

    Hi Crishty,
GRC AC contains four components RAR(CC),CUP(AE),ERM(RE) and SPM(FF).
These seperate component have four seperate URL, so you will not get FF in ERM,CUP & RAR.
Here are the URL to access these grc component,
    URL for RAR(CC)-
    http//<hostname>:<portnumber>/webdynpro/dispatcher/virsa/ccappcomp/ComplianceCalibrator
    URL for CUP(AE)-
    http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/AE
    URL for ERM(RE)-
    http://<hostname>:<portnumber>/RE
    URL for SPM(FF)-
    http://<hostname>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/grc~ffappcomp/Firefighter

  • What RTA will do in the JAVA systems?

    Hi! Experts:
    I have 2 questions:
    1) what the RTA will do in java systems
    2) what is the countpartner of RTA in abap systems?
    Thanks!

    Hi Christy,
RTA will be installed in ABAP system like other patches using SPAM or SAINT which is a communicator between ABAP system and GRC AC system.
There are two type of RTA you need to install, HR and Non-HR RTA.
Here is the example of RTA installed in my system,
S/W Component   Naming Connv(Highest SP Level)     Description
VIRSAHR            SAPK-53205INVIRSAHR                 SAP GRC Access Controls 5.3 for HR Syste
VIRSANH            SAPK-53207INVIRSANH                 SAP GRC Access Controls 5.3 for 640 HR
These RTAs are for real time Risk analysis purpose.
I hope this clears you doubt.
    Thanks,
