GRCPINW and SAP_BASIS 7.40

This is probably a stupid question. If so my apologies - I have tried searching both here and OSS and not found an answer.
Is there a version of the GRCPINW plugin that works with ERP6 EHP7, which runs SAP_BASIS 740? OSS note 1855404 says that GRCPINW V1100_731 works with SAP_BASIS 731 but doesn't mention 740. OSS notes are usually quite careful to specify exactly which versions are supported.
I see mention of EHP6+ in the product availability matrix, and in the download center there's a "Plug-in on EHP6+ for ERP6.0", but that takes me to the same GRCPINW V1100_731. That suggests it works with EHP7 and therefore basis 740, but I can't find anything anywhere that says that!
Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks,
Steve.

Right, I see your pain.
You are hoping to install the GRCPINW plug-in on a 7.40 system. Considering you need GRCPINW on the GRC system to treat itself as a target system, I would have assumed that this specific compatibility would have been mentioned somewhere.
In SAP note 1680268 (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1680268), there is a sentence at the end as follows:
"6) Access Control 10.1 GRCFND_A Package need to install on NW740 and it is compatible with GRCPINW (700, 710, 730, 731)."
Oddly no mention of a 7.40 plug-in system! I am wondering if indeed GRCPINW 7,31 would have to be installed onto the 740 system. Not had a chance to use 10.1 yet.
UPDATE: Asked around a few people, seems they have put on a NW731 plug-in on their NW 740 system. I do not know the validity of this, but I cannot find any SAP Note to advise otherwise. Would be interested in reading any 10.1 users experience with the scenario in this thread (or even a SAP response!)

    Hello,
Maybe I'm not getting your point, but you said you installed GRCPINW and GRCPIERP. Are you using GRC10 ???
Are you planing to upgrade to GRC10? in this case, you might want to check here Note 1590030 - GRC10 Plug-in & 5.3 VIRSA Plug-in (RTA) Co-Existence.
And... what's your SAP_BASIS release and SP?

  • BP ESS and MSS

    Hello,
I have SAP ERP 6.0 and portal 7.0 with ESS and MSS versión 1.0. We need to update to the versión 1.41 but in this link says that is required the EHP4 in the ERP. Is that true do we have to upgrade the ERP first?
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/76/77594d165144a1a9bff9aae1e26b26/frameset.htm
    Please help me with this.
    Regards

Just to note ---> In WD ABAP there is still dependanices between software components for example BP HRA 1.11 is WD ABAP - there is still key dependancies between BP HRA, SAP_HR, EA_HR and SAP_BASIS
Also moving to 1.4 is considered a move to EHP4 - which means moving ECC to EHP4 as well  - however this applies evern for current WD ABAP products - for example if you want BP HRA 1.41 (WD ABAP) you will also need EHP4 in the back-end (as per note 1375308) so the architecture is very similiar
Whether EHP5 changes all this is not yet clear
    Best wishes
    Stuart

    Dear Eva,
Yes, you can move to the 64 bit platform with SQL Server 2005 according
    to note 960769.
Information in note 905634 means there is no installation DVD for
release 47x110 for SQL Server 2005. So it is not possible to do a fresh
installation of 47x110 except if you follow the workaround of note
    899111 (for x64).

  • Why am I getting "Associated object cannot be opened"?

I have created a task that utilizes method CRMSALESPROCESSEDIT of standard BOR object BUS2000115 on our CRM sandbox.  As a test, I launched the Webclient UI from transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB by clicking on the Test pushbutton for component CRM_UI_FRAME.  I can see my task in the CRM Task List.  However, when I try to execute the task I receive the message, "Associated object cannot be opened; contact your system administrator".
According to the second edition of the text "Practical Workflow for SAP", I "can use every standard BOR object type that is enabled for dynamic navigation for your own workflow without further customizing and implementation effort".  Accordingly, I checked in table BSP_DLC_OBJ_TYPE and found object BUS2000115.  So why am I getting the error message?
I tried maintaining Object Specific Navigation for this method in the IMG but it did not make a difference.  But I might not have maintained it properly.
When I execute this task in the Business Workplace of the SAPGui it takes me to the "Search for Business Transactions" screen.
    I am on version 'SAP CRM ABAP 6.0', with SAP_ABA and SAP_BASIS = 700.  SAP_AP = 700.  PI_BASIS = 2006_1_700.  ST-PI = 2008_1_700.  BBPCRM = 600.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Lars,
I will do what I can to help but I am going from memory.  Our sandbox has been rebuilt several times in the the last few years.  Plus we only use our SAP CRM system for channel managment now.
I think that I instantiated an instance of the business object BUS2000115 in a previous step of the workflow with a custom task that utilized method 'GENERICINSTANTIATE' of object 'SYSTEM'.  I bound that instance to a workflow container object (probably called BUS2000115).
In a subsequent step I think that I failed to explicitly bind BUS2000115 to &_WI_OBJECT_ID&.  This was in the definition of the step.  In other words, from the workflow builder (transaction PFTC_CHG) I clicked on the "Workflow Builder" pushbutton.  Then I double clicked on the step where I wanted to change the sales transaction.  I entered the appropriate task and step name for changing the sales transaction.  Then I clicked on the Binding pushbutton just below the "Step Name".  In the top table control on the popup I entered &BUS2000115& on the left and &_WI_OBJECT_ID& on the right.
Once I did that then the error message was resolved.  Hope that helps.
    Cheers,
    Paul

  • No editable form fields in ABAP Web Dynpro

    Hi,
I created a form with layout type ZCI. The interface type is "ABAP Dictionary-Based Interface".
This form I embedded in a abap web dynpro component.
In the ABAP WD interactive form element I marked the enabled property.
Unfortunately the displayed form fields are not editable.
When I use a interface of type "XML-Schema-Based Interface" the fields are editable.
Is this a bug or is something missing?
    I am using Live Cycle Designer 8.1 and SAP_BASIS 7.0, EHP 2, SP07
    Thank you and best regards,

Edited by: Edgar Meyer on Oct 1, 2011 7:06 PM

    Hi Eddy,
In your Interface, you probably have to pass the "Fillable" flag in your importing /1BCDWB/DOCPARAMS structure.
I've developed many forms over the past few years and have learned that when using web dynpro, it's almsot exclusiely easier to use the XML-based schema than DDIC.
The only time I'm using DDIC instead of XML when in WDA, is because I'm having to pass in rich text formatted objects through a Text Node.

  • Problem to send a mail of notify to SAP Inbox instead Outlook Inbox

    Hi all,
    I have a customer that it's already done an upgrade to SAP_HR 4.7 and SAP_BASIS 6.20.
I haven't modify the old Workflow and I use the standard task to send the mail of notify in order to leave request.
I'm using the method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION of object SELFITEM with type address U and the mail address (external).
But the mails aren't sending to Outlook, they are sending to SAP Inbox.
So the employee see the mail into the ESS portal instead to see the mail in Outlook.
Could you suggest me if the problem is in the task of workflow, or in SCOT or in mail server, please?
Are there a new functionality in SAP in order to search the user linked with the mail address?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

  • Preview of Transaction iVew doesn't work

    Hi,
I have created a very simple transaction iView to allow users to call transaction SM30 in my BI system from the Portal.  I have the iView assigned to a role and everything works fine when I log in as my demo user.
However when I preview the iView as an administrator, the gui loads up the "easy access" menu, not the SM30 transaction code.
    - Single signon / user mapping are working correctly; when I preview the iView I can see my admin user has an rfc connection to my BI system
    - The admin user has the authorisation in BI to run transaction SM30, in fact once the iView has loaded the easy access menu, I can then manually call the transaction and maintain the required table.
So I can't see this as either a connectivity or an authorisation error.  Does anyone have any idea what else I could have missed here??
    Thanks,
    Sue

    Hi Michael,
No, the preview of the page as the administrator does not work either.  And I double checked the patch levels with my basis admin - he confirmed that the portal is actually still on patch 18.  On my BW system, the SAP_ABA and SAP_BASIS components are patch 17 while SAP_BW is patch 19.
Do you think this is simply a feature of my current patch levels that should be fixed in future versions?
    Thanks,
    Sue

    Hi Markus,
I have gone tru the SAP note you have recommanded. Actually our requirement is that this job is very urgent from business point of view and code optimization will take time as we need to first test in sandbox and then the production. Looking at the scenario, I have decided with this approach :
<b>Step 1 -></b> Remove parameter abap/max_imode  = four_gb from instance profile as this parameter is not required.
Please refer note SAP note 548845 - Internal modes users more than 2 GB. According to this note "As of SAP_BASIS 6.20 Support Package 38 and SAP_BASIS 6.40, you do no longer require the profile parameter. Therefore, delete this parameter from the profile; otherwise there is an upper limit of 4 GB."
(Here I assume that by removing the parameter abap/max_imode, it can go beyound 4GB)
<b>Step 2 -></b> Increase the memory dyanimcally thru RSMEMORY program for that application server and run the Background Job to make it finish successfully.
RSMEMORY Parameter is showing following value. <b>Is it possible for you to recommand how much we can increase the memory ?</b>*

We tried to extend the tablespace PSAPSR700 (which is related to table
D010INC) but we are still getting dumps like "DBIF_REPO_SQL_ERROR".
Can you please guide us how to proceed? This query is very urgent since we
prefer that our developers do not work until we resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance, Marc

  • ABABusinessPartner

I am trying to find Message Type ABABusinessPartner, Namespace http://sap.com/xi/ABA in XI 7.0.  I can see Software Component XI CONTENT SAP_ABA, Version 700 in the SLD Software Catalog, which probably contains this message type.  But when I import the Software Component versions, I did not see it on the list.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You are correct that ABABusinessPArtner is located in SWC SAP_ABA. As Thorsten said the SLD definition of the SWC and the Xi Content are two different things. Usually the XI-content of SWC SAP_ABA and SAP_BASIS are imported as part of the post-installation procedure since many other SAP SWCs are dependent on these.
