Great deal at Costco on a charger!
I just came from Costco. They had a Belkin kit with two wall chargers, one car charger, and one iPod/iPhone cable (plus mini-micro usb cables) for about $30. The cables are really heavy duty. I was looking for some extra chargers for all my Apple stuff. Won't worth with the iPad I think, or at least while the iPad is on. It might trickle charge it. Here's a few photos.

I have forgotten my restrictions passcode and i dont want to lose any media on my iphone, or any apps, i am scared to back up my media for restore in future as these photos and videos mean a great deal to me, is there any way i could get around it? Thankyou if you can help; oh and last time i restored my iphone it didnt restore ALL the media only some and very improtant photos went missing :(
All media and apps on the device should already be in iTunes on the computer.
If you have forgotten the restrictions passcode, the ONLY option is to restore as new.
Then sync back any media, apps, contacts, etc back to the device.
You can not restore from backup as the restrictions passcode is included in the backup. -
I have PS CS5 extended. I am trying to create a blurred lighting vignette on a photo. I am having a great deal of trouble!

My wife and I went to the Verizon store to purchase her an iPhone 6+. We were told of this great promotion to receive $200 back and the iPhone 6 was $199. Great deal, we thought! I bought an iPhone 6 and my wife an iPhone 6+. We were told that we would get the rebate when Verizon received our phones. I got my phone and went online to print the return label. My wife iPhone 6+ hasn't shipped yet. I found out that the promotion ended yesterday and that I should have printed the label before that time. We lost out on the rebate. What a scam! I went to the store and was told that it's the customer’s responsibility to follow up and that all of their sales reps were trained to ensure the process was understood. We left the store believing that we would have 14 days to return our phones. This would never have happened if we received written instructions. It was the stores responsibility to ENSURE that the customer received the correct procedure information. Obviously a scam on Verizon's part! Is this the stores issue or Verizon's? How can we get our rebate?
That is not what my trade in disclaimer said at all... You had to PURCHASE an iphone 6 by 10/15. But you have seven days to send the device back after receiving it...
How could I send my iphone in before I received the new one? I would have no cell phone for a month because it was on back order.
This is the email I received after submitting my order:

I dislike Ovi Suite a great deal
I've been using PC Suite for years very successfully. I'm using a Nokia 6303.
I can send & receive texts, manage my contacts, and sync my calendar, and everything works.
I installed OviSuite, and lost calendar management, and it tried to make me do lots of things I didn't want to. I think PC Suite has a great deal going for it.
In fact with two improvments it would be superb - the ability to manage / edit / make notes and to manage / edit the to do list.
My tuppence ha'penny.Yes, I saw a post on one of these threads about a powered USB hub so I ran over to Office Depot and picked one up. I was finally able to see the HD in the Airport Utility. Yay!

Why does my aol mail not sync properly with the Droid Razr? Never had the problem with blackberry but now I deal with a great deal of spam & duplicating tasks
This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs? -
Can anyone esplain why I cannot upload movies from my Panasonic TZ30 camera? I able to upload stills and I was able to upload movies from my previous Panasonic TZ5. Since I use iMovie a gret deal it is very disappointing not to be able to use the videos from my new camera.
What format are you shooting? AVCHD? Not all versions of that are supported.
A note on AVCHD: This format was developed for people who are shooting to edit the material afterwards. If you're shooting to edit, then iMovie or Final Cut are the correct home for this material. If you're not shooting to edit consider using one of the other video formats on your Camera. -
The lock button is stuck dont and wont come back up. i can still lock the iphone 4 but it requires alot of force and i am afraid of breaking it. i have only had this phone for about 4 months and have had a case on it since day one. Someone please help!!
If there is Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, you can use virtual Lock Button. Tap Settings App > General > Assessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > tap new white screen button > Device > Lock Screen. This can even be used to turn OFF iPhone, by holding down on it. To turn iPhone ON, connect to power, charger or USB of computer.

Att offered me a great deal why shouldn't I switch.
My fiance and I were at an expo here recently. And ATT offered to pay our ETFs on both our lines, upgrade our note 2 phones, to note 3 phones for free, and we'd have a $65 reduction in our bill. We contacted verizon and all they would offer is for us to switch from 2gb data plan to the lower level of data. Now what kind of matching offer to keep a customer is that. Why shouldn't we switch providers?
If you can get what is a better deal for your particular situation, then there's no reason you shouldn't switch.
Verizon doesn't price match. Never has.
Just be sure that you are making an informed decision and good luck. -
I downloaded some new instruments and lost a great deal of my old ones
I downloaded "additional content" and got excited that I saw so many more jampacks, etc. to add to my collection. Unfortunately, I was shocked to discover that a great number of my original instruments were no longer available. ( I'm in the middle of a project and I really need those old instruments! )

On Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard
Quit Logic if it is open.
In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder.
Type /Library/Audio/ in the "Go to the folder" field.
Press the Go button.
Place the Apple Loops Index folder in the Trash. Note: GarageBand 1 and Jampacks 1-3 used a different location. See Where loops get installed for more information.
Open Logic.
Drag the Apple Loops folder into the Loop Browser in Logic. Enter your administrator password if prompted.
Note: If you have GarageBand 1 or have installed GarageBand Jam Packs, repeat the last step for the GarageBand Jam Pack folders (See Where loops get installed for more information).

Great Deal I could not pass up, and it works with my Mini Mac!
Well I fought the others pushing and shoving to get a new 512MB iPod + HP Shuffle for $48.88 yesterday (Black Friday). When I bought it and started looking at the box and directions it said it was for the Windows XP platform. I thought I wasted the money and tried to think or how I could dump it on eBay! So I started to surf around and see if there was any hope. I went to the Hewlett-Packard site and was very sad to see they stated that "The Apple iPod from HP is configured for a PC and formatted for Windows. HP does not support the use of an Apple iPod from HP on a Mac." Now I really started seeing red! I wanted an iPod that would work on my Mac Mini, but I'm cheap! So then I went to APPLE.COM and started looking around. I noticed that there was an iPod update that I would need that carried drivers. Since the CD that came with the Shuffle was for a Windows XP machine only (no Mac software - I looked) I downloaded the update. So now the big risk, if I plug in the iPod to the USB and it makes the iPod unusable - I've lost it all. What the H*%#, I'll try it anyway. Worked like a dream! Updated the iPod and now I'm up and running with this new toy. Wow what a product. I like it a lot! So if you see a deal like the one I got, go for it! It will worked on my Mac Mini running Tiger.

I downloaded the Apple Mac iPod update before I plugged the shuffle in for the first time to my Mini Mac. I inserted the iPod and it started iTunes and the update right away. I did not load any other software to the iPod after I removed it from the box. So I think it was not formated from the HP factory. I belive the Mac iPod update did that when I plugged it in.
I bought the 512 MB iPod Shuffle at Brandsmart. Their stores are only in South Florida and North Georgia and are a deep discount house with a lot of China inport products. Here is the link to the stores web site.

I noticed that todays flyer shows the iPod Shuffle+HP 1 GB for $108.00 and the new 30 GB iPod Photo for $278.00. I spent all my money so another one is out of the question Kelly. SeeYa!

i received an [email protected] stating adobe was closing down workspaces and even though that really stinks for me as far as stirage of important adobe type documents such as agreements etc. I can understand from an economic standpoint sice there is really no charge for that part of their services, what dies that mean for the other part of the services we do pay for?
For example, even though the storage was nice that is where i saved the docs i saved as PDF's and then used the sendnow product. it also many times was where i uploaded documents that were ready to be converted to PDF's and edit or sign PDF's. do we lose the ability to have tht luxury now or are they going to just allow us to link Box or Dropbox or other storage products to that workspace area now?
does this actually go away for paying custimers as well?

This sounds complex. I have been reluctant to repair disk and permissions. I have been reluctant to go that far inside my computer.
I understand that it is roughly the equivalent of the older re build the desk top.

I could not download the upgrade to the mountain lion. my updates were taking an enormous amount of time for other programs. When I finally got the indication it was waiting to be downloaded I had to shut down. It was after 2 am and I was practically unconscious already with all the trauma of trying to find the right place for the redeem of the code to open the password. It was all confusing and poorly communicated by Apple. The terrible deterioration of Apple's written communications by non-American techies who can't write for easy understanding, even by this old time tech afficianado is heart-breaking and frustrating is putting the effects mildly. I have not yet gone back to the mac book pro to finish the job. I am too frustrated and unhappy with the new system. Also, I found out the hard way that my time capsule saved files on the macbook Snow Leopard, which still works fine after 6 years of use, is locked in that external drive and I cannot transfer the items except one by one or by folders on that computer to a DVD or to a flash drive, to mport to this new computer. Because the systems are not the same, I can't access the files automatically. I fear I will have further problems with the mountain lion vs. lion in seeing those files. What can I do? What should I do? I am afraid to designate an external hard drive I purchased with the new laptop for the time capsule because then it won't work with any other computer. I read of terrible incompatibility issues and crashes and things not working right once Mountain Lion was installed and now I am terrified they will happen to me. I just wanted the computer to be as easy to use as all the other macs I have and have had and now it is more like a horribly complicated and difficult Microsoft IBM compatible PC. I hate this. Perhaps Apple wanted to appeal to new Apple users and tried to make them comfortable while disregarding the comfort of loyal Apple users? It's a sell-out. Meanwhile, I have to get senior tech people because the kids who try to answer my questions much of the time don't interpret what i am telling them and it takes a pro. Perhaps the kids can answer what I should do in preferenced to scroll the screen, since the scroll indicators disappear and I can't see them and have to resort to using the arrows on the keyboard, which is not the way I like to work. Please advise me about all of these things!
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
What can I do to see items that I have purchased but upgraded to iTunes Plus? They are not showing in my iCloud as purchased, but I still can see the original protected versions from old backups. The original was downloaded with my iMac but the computers hard drive has burned out and needs to be replaced.

Thank you.Thanks for the reply although I'm not too happy to hear it. What's awesome about the cloud is no longer having to keep up with any physical media. The promise of that is realized with everything else (my work, music, books) besides movies and TV.
I wonder how Google Play will handle movies/tv that becomes unavailable? Google Play does allow you to download media in some circumstances (on Android and iOS) but is generally intended for streaming. Maybe relying on a physical copy as I do with iTunes should make me more comfortable with it and not less.
