Great Firmware for E70 from the E61i?
Hello!
After wining an E61i recently and comparing the performance to my E70 I noted that the E61i software handles the memory far-far better than my E70 with the 3.x firmware. (The E61i had more than 20 MB free system memory after 2 days, while my E70 can get down to 11-12 MB in one day.)
As I noticed previously that the Firmware numbers of the E70 and the E61 for the 3.x firmware have been identical - sending the message that the firmware for the two phones are identical - I started to wonder, whether the firmware of the E61i would also run on the E70 especially because it is closer hardware wise than the E61 (without the i).
It would be great if Nokia would just release the same firmware for the E70 which they have now on the E61i.
I have had a discussion with Nokia Care, and here is the most relevant part:
"I was aware of the fact you wrote in your answer, that each phone has their own firmware updates. Acctually this was the very reason why I contacted you, to request from you to release the same firmware software awailable for the E61i also for the E70 so I would be able to upload it on my E70. If the firmware software for the E61i would be able to run on the E70 also, than it is only a matter of making the same software availableto be uploaded on the E70. That is what I am asking for.
I am happy to see that in your latest answer you do not claim any more that the E61i firmware would not run on the E70 but you only say, that it is not possible to upload that firmware on the E70. That is great news for
me, as it hints that it might just work fine on the E70 also if You make that exact same software available for the E70.
That is what I have been asking for.
I hope this clarifies my point, so could you please check with the E-series phone developers whether the firmware of the E61i would run on my E70? And so if it does, please release it for the E70 also!"
Nokia Care could not advise in this matter and they sent me here.
How should we proceed from here?

I forgot to mention that I love my E70 and would like to unlock it to full potential by better memory handling.
The memory handling of the E61i is fantastic!
If they would not say that it is without FP1 I would belive it is an FP1 device...

Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.

This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working. Turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.

Did you know that verizon charges ¢50 for calls from the US to Canada? Just dialing an area code like 604 (Vancouver, CA), will create charges at a rate of ¢50/minute. Amazing that they can charge this much for a call to Canada. I know they have it somewhere in their contract/website.

Hello, I have songs that show they are "Waiting" for download from the cloud but they are greyed out. Some songs in one album are done others in the same album will not download. It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible. I have a Match subscription and Match is working. If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them. I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
ThanksI did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

I can not install the firefox for android from the android market. It is showing me that the app is incompatible with my device and no other information is provided. I am not sure whats the problem with that ! Is it incompatible with the device or the android version ?

How do I buy CS6 Standard for Mac from the Adobe website? There doesn't appear to be an option for Mac although all the FAQs insist the suite will work on a Mac. Bought a Windows version by mistake and had it refunded, the Adobe help dude said you had to add something to the basket during checkout but can't find the way into that either. Is it just me or is the system completely rubbish?...
You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

You should be able to go > App Store > App store (menu) > store > view my account > sign in. Where do you vary after following this point. In between ID summary and Settings should be a section marked iTunes in the cloud and directly below but within that section, the message we are seeking.

Controlling Record Selection for Subreports from the Main Report

Hello - I am generating a standard report template that will be applied to all of my accounts and I am connecting to an Access DB that has multiple tables. Each table corresponds to a single Subreport within my Mainreport and contains the data for all of the accounts. Essentially I would like to be able to write some logic in the Formula section of my Mainreport whereby I can control which account to run the report for based on the Account Name. I am having sucess with this method when I change the parameters of the formula in each subreport, but how do I modify my code to allow me to control this from the mainreport. An example of a formula is below. // Account AAA//{Subreport1.Account } = "AAA" and {Subreport2.Account } = "AAA" and {Subreport3.Account } = "AAA" and {Subreport4.Account } = "AAA"// Account BBB//{Subreport1.Account } = "BBB" and {Subreport2.Account } = "BBB" and {Subreport3.Account } = "BBB" and {Subreport4.Account } = "BBB"// Account CCC//{Subreport1.Account } = "CCC" and {Subreport2.Account } = "CCC" and {Subreport3.Account } = "CCC" and {Subreport4.Account } = "CCC" Essentially, I am looking to just uncomment the particular Account I would like to produce the report for and have that filter down to all the subreports. Thanks for all the responses..... Just to clarify, I am essentially trying to control the record selection of each subreport with a forumula in the mainreport. To this end I am trying to avoid having to modify the formula in each subreport to change accounts each time i need to run a set of reports. I am still not having any luck modifying the subreport links as mentioned above. The only way I have been able to control the data is with formulas in each subreport. If anyone has accomplished what I am attempting, could you post an actual formula from both the subreports and mainreport so I can try to mirror them. Also, if anyone can point me to an example where I can integrate a dialog box to automatically control the record selection (as mentioned above), that would be great. Thanks,Mike -

what is m4a?M4A is another name (actually, the file extension) for the AAC audio format. It is used in iTunes, but frequently has compatibility problems when used outside of Apple-land.
Does your car player expect MP3 format? If so you can convert your files by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
Also, unless you enjoy doing format conversions, you also have the option to buy your music in MP3 format in the first place, from another music download store, e.g. Amazon MP3.
MP3 can be used in iTunes, iPod, iPhone and just about every other player, program, and device. -
Im not quite sure how I got into this situation but I have fried my Iphone app photo and video library. This demonstrates itself in 2 ways
1. The above error message when I attempt to play videos older than a certain date.
2. Photos older than a certain date - appear to be grainy suggesting that only the thumbnails are on the phone, and the full resolution photos have been blitzed.
This coruption may have occured as I have replaced my Iphone 2 times in the last few months for various reasons, where each time I have restored them both using back ups I have made using icloud. (I havent made an Itunes back up since the iclod came around)
In reading the support forums - it suggest to restore from a back up version. Is anyone aware if selectively restoring media content from an icloud back up is possible.
I have 2 Back Up versions on icould.
1- 13.5 GB
2- 7.2 GB
My hope is that the earlier 13.5 GB version has content I am looking for.
I am kicking myself for not making the occassional itunes back up, or at least use Image capture as a more secure way of ensuring my personal content is not lost. (I am loosing faith with icould).
Can someone suggest a good workflow for restoring from a cloud back up. I have already downloaded the most recent photos using image capture onto my mac.

I made a back of what existing phtos and Videos I had on my Iplhone. I used Image capture to do this making an entire back up of photos and videoa that were still intact on the phone.
Image capture is god for this purpose, as it does exactly what you ask it to do without applying any rules or squishing the files back into iphote (which might also be corupted)
Image capture wil do the basic function of retriving the contents of the phone and save them as native files on your hard drive.
Once I did this I erased my iphone, and re intitialised it restoring an older back up from icloud.
As the retore was happneing - I did retreive the missing files that cuased the intial beviour as above, and I could play the videos that were missing in the above scenerio. The wierd ting was however that even though the source files were now back on the device, the thumbnail previews were missing. Where I ahd balck thumb nails for server portions of the resotred content.
I then went to bed as the restore is a long process. When I woke up the library had library had cleaned itself up. Mysteriously the prcess had deleted the files missing the their thumbnails.
This is very perculiar and bad behavior.
I am now repeating the process, and will attempt to download the missing content as it is restored and prior to the phone trying to fix itself.
Here are the lessons learned.
DO NOT rely on Photo Stream to keep back ups and synchornise videos from you IOS device. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS CAPBILITY
DO NOT rely on iCloud Back Up alone - always fd an occassional iTunes back up or more reliably still always take a back up of photos and video files using Image Capture to be doubly sure that you a have backd up any content.
DO THIS NOW - dont wait to loose your phone ofr have your phone repaired by replacement at the apple Store. (I did both :-( -
I have a late mode IMac 27" running Snow Leopard. I downloaded Mountain Lion from the Apple Store and paid for it. When I trie to install it took me through the first few pages of installation such as agrreeing to terms and the Lion Page showed up asking where I wanted to intall Mountain Lion. The install button was greyed out. I also had a message this disc is used for Time Machine. I had no other disc to choose from. Time Mahine was in the OFF position. I tried hooking up an external drive and tried using it as th Time Machine Backup. That did not work and it also said this disc is used by Time Machine. I have read of several other cases like this but have found no solution other than doinh a complee wipe of the hard drive and doing a reinstall which I really want to avoid if I can.
Look at the root of your hard drive for a folder called Backups.backupdb.
Or, a sparse bundle disk image for one of mobile computers that might have tried to back up to your Mac.
If you have those, remove them and try again. -
Changing default color for arrows from the Shapes palette.

I use a lot of arrow type lines from the Shapes Palette.
After I create the arrow-line I have to re-color it to red with the Graphics Inspector.

Welcome to Apple Discussions and the Numbers '09 forum.
Numbers vocabulary for this feature is a "Pop-up Menu". It's available as a Cell Format, and is set and edited in the Cell Format Inspector.
See "Using a Checkbox, Slider, Stepper, or Pop-Up Menu in Table Cells" starting on page 96 of the Numbers '09 User Guide.
This guide, and the equally useful iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide are available for download through the Help menu in Numbers.
