OBIEE Map views and Google controls

Hi All,
I have OBIEE set up for map views using Google maps as the background map. However it now appears to be showing 2 zoom controls, one from OBIEE and one from the background Google maps.
Does anyone know how to configure Mapviewer to turn off the google zoom control? I cannot see anything obvious through the Manage Map Tile Layers interface.
It seems that when you use the OBIEE control the zooming works correctly and aligns with the overlay visualisation. If you use the Google control things do not work correctly. Currently we are using 11.1.1.6 for this.

OBIEE Map viewer integration error

I have problem with obiee and mapviewer integration.
i have completed the phase-1 from the following blog

Objects not visible in Map Viewer Display Data with Mouse Moveover

Hi All,
On version 11.1.1.5.2 OBIEE with Map Viewer a customer has the following problem. Data objects are not displayed as expected on the map when the visibility check box is disabled on a dashboard. However the data about the object is incorrectly displayed on the map when the mouse is placed over the location of the hidden object.
The customer's screen shots show a map with a panel which has a list of assets with a check box controlling if the asset is displayed. When the check box is off then the asset image is correctly not displayed but when the mouse is placed over the hidden asset’s location then incorrectly a pop window shows the hidden asset's Tooltip data.
I was unable to reproduce this in-house with an OBIEE dashboard connected to Google Maps.
In the MapViewer User Guide there is a reference to a MapViewer JavaBean method “setSVGShowInfo” which appears to be related to this:

Is there an SR filed on this?
Anyway, the Mapviewer javascript API is being used in OBIEE (not the java bean one).
Is it a standard obiee map view which has this issue?
Try the OBIEE Sample App (available on OTN)
Try Dashboard page 3.3. SF Metrics. There are two layers that can be shown on the map (Revenue and Billed Quantity, and Establishment Revenue).
Enable both and on hover the Rev & Billed qty info is shown. Uncheck Rev & Billed Qty and only the info for Establishment Revenue is shown on hover or when clicked on.

OBIEE Wth Map viewer

Hi Frnds,
Presently we are using OBIEE 10g. We have some reports for which we need to integrate with Oracle Map viewer.
We are available with both Oracle Map viewer Versions 10 and 11.
Which one would better suites for OBIEE 10g ? Suggestions and feedback.
If Oracle Map viewer 10 why not 11 ? Any reasons ??
It would be grt if some body guides me for step by step integration of OBIEE10g with Oracle map viewer.

Can't show Greate Circle Route (in SRID 8307) in Map Viewer

I've got a task to show flight tracks on the world map in Map Viewer.
I've got a table with appropriate geometry

I've got a theme created from this column. It's evident that flights (and any other straight lines on the earth surface) should look like arcs but in MapViwer I can see straight lines.
It looks like Map Viewer just projected ends of line on the map and then draw straight line between them, instead of projecting whole line on the map (which should be converted into arc)
What have I done wrong?!

MapViewer doesn't display them as great circles. This will be fixed in a future release.
Meanwhile you can use Oracle Spatial functions to create the sissified lines which will approximate/be displayed as flight paths/great circles.
That is use something like Dan Geringer's (sample code so usual disclaimers apply) densify_line plsql stored procedure below.
The densify_line function takes two arguments:
• two_pt_line - The line to densify
• arc_tolerance - The interval (in meters) used to densify the line
The first argument calls for a two point line. It ensures the endpoints are included in the densified result.
You can also pass in a linestring with more than two points. The end points are ensured to be part of the densified line, but the intermediate shape points are not. To guarantee shape points, you can call densify_line iteratively with the 2 point line segments of a linestring.

I'm trying to make the maps in OBIEE up and running but I have a strange problem...I've followed this tutorial:

I have calculated item (column 5 as summation of 1,2,3,4) and caluclated itme (column 9 as summation of 6,7)...now if i arrange ascending then calculated columns 5,9 don't get affected.

Map View Analyses in OBIEE 11g

But if i removed the above code in the xml file, and if i restarted the services means then the BI presentation services is becoming up. But if i used that code in the xml file means the BI presentation service is going down.
I couldnt able to predict the reason behind it. Since for performing the map view in my analyses i need to add the above coding. But the Presentation servers is going down for that.

OBIEE 11g Map View - Issue with Label Translation

Hi All,
I have a strange translation issue with the Maps in 11g.
Created in English language to plot the Revenue for each of the Postal Codes.
I selected Postal Code and Revenue Amount in the Criteria and created a new Map View. It had the text 'Postal Code' in the Map Legend and then the scale for revenue amount.
Now I logged on with Chinese Language , it still appears as 'Postal Code' in English where in it was actually supposed to show it in Chinese.
We have a translation pack to get all the column names translated. If I try creating a new table view, it shows the translated text instead of 'Postal Code', but some how this doesn't work with Maps.
Has anyone faced similar issues ? Is there a workaround for this ?

I also encounter the same issue. When I view combined layout, I get the No Results message. But when I edit the table layout, I see that there are records returned. Does anyone had any luck in resolving this issue?

Map view and Final DVD dont not the same

Hello all, I have got an interesting problem which is probably due to my ignorance. I have made a project in Final Cut 4.5. In my timeline I have 5 seperate pieces. I place an in and out for each piece and then export Quicktimes (NOT self contained) in order to make my DVD. Ive made a new project in IDVD and use an existing template and replace the backround with my backround
(a still which was made in photoshop) I place each film on the backround, which as I understand it is making its own title set, so far so good. In test mode the menu ive created works great , each title is accessed fine. Now here is the problem.
In map view everything looks to be in the correct order but when I burn the disc and play it the chapters dont play in the order of map view? Again, the menu is correct to each film but when I go to a film and then hit the chapter button to go to next film the films are out of order with the order i put them on the menu?
The reason I did it this way was I did not want the 2 window menu screen you get when , in Final Cut, you make chapters and export with chapters, you cannot as far as I know, in IDVD come back to just the chapter screen after each film. Which is what I wanted to do. Any suggestions? (other than use DVD SP)

I would like to know also. I have made many DVDs, but the number order does seem to be random. For presentation purposes I want to play a specific clip by hitting it's corresponding number on the DVD player remote when the DVD is at a complete stop (so if I put the movie clip in the 2 spot and hit the number 2 on the remote, then the 2 movie clip will play). I can get this to work from the menu by dropping them in iDVD in the order I want and waiting for each to encode before dropping the next, but at a complete stop I cannot ensure number 2 on the remote will play number 2 on the DVD. To me it looks like iDVD gives those numbers in the order in which the audio is encoded when burning, with the shorter clips first and longer ones last.
Can anyone help me?

In the case of mapping views, the source view text or a cut down smaller testcase that reproduces the error, and the workbench version, are usually sufficient.

ADF Map Viewer Themes Rendering Problem

Hi,
Im presently working on ADF Map Viewer. Im facing the below mentioned issue. Can any one has come across this???
Im building the Themes using Map Builder.
I have 3 thems, which i combined together & created as a Base Map using Map Builder.
While adding the themes, i also set the theme mode as "Mapviewer_native". The themes are Area Theme, Region Theme & Building Block Theme.
For the first theme, i did not specify any minimum scale & maximum scale to make sure that this theme needs to be rendered initially.
For the second theme, which supposed to be rendered after doing certain zoom in...for this theme i have set the Max & Min scale as Max 3 || Min 8.
For the third theme i have added the range from 3 to 0.
Im able to test this fine with Map Builder...On making zoom in at certain levels the second theme is getting rendered..and after doing some more zoom in the third theme is getting rendered.
Till this everything fine... Here the problem came....
I used <dvt:map component & assigned the above created Map as Base Map... But here im not able to see the second theme...Initially its showing the Area Map & On selecting the Zoom In ...its directly going to theme 3.
Can you please suggest me some thing by using i can get this second theme as well....
