Greek Language support for C1-01

I've just bought a C1-01 over the internet and it turns out that there is no Greek language support for texting.
Is there anyway I can resolve this?
Suggestions please

You have to visit your nearest nokia care point. They will be able to add the greek language in your phone. But note that you will have to pay for this (I think it's about 15euros).

  • Greek Language Support for Zen To

The majority of my music collection is Greek songs and it'ss a real shame that Creative does NOT have language support for Greek. I tried entering a song in Greek letters since I have dual language support on my Windows XP. When I look at the Media Source Transferring program, the file name seems to be recognized and doesn?t seem as if there is a problem. However when I view the song title on my Creative Zen Touch (V 2..0 Plays for Sure) the characters are stretched out funny and doesn?t read accent marks similar to how I posted the example bellow.
    A l l I [] s m e a f [ ] s e s ( These [ ] are due to accent marks I guess not being recognized Also pretend this is in Greek letters since this board won?t let me post it in Greek?)
Is there any way around this? It doesn?t seem like such a hard thing for the Creative people to fix?
The sad thing is that Apple actually has Greek language support and to me this is a huge importance to me. I don?t like writing my Greek song titles in Latin characters, it just seems silly.

    Hi Colorfinger,
I also own a Zen Touch and have exactly the same problem you have detailed below with the majority of the music I have loaded to the player as it is in greek and the player doesn't support it. I also have the majority of my music library in greek characters in Windows XP due to the cataloguing issues which arise if the track information is left in latin characters.
When I contacted Creative last year in regards to this they advised me they did not have greek language support for their players and had no plans on offering it in the future either. This of course makes the music library on the Zen Touch an absolute joke, irrespecti've of whether the track information has been loaded onto the player with greek or latin characters. If it has been loaded with latin characters you have the same artist appearing in various areas of the library due to the non standardised spelling of greek words in english. They are either typed phonetically, in greeklish or best guess english. If the track information is in greek, well we have the problem you have outlined in regards to the stress mark not being recognised, the spacing and the alphabetization of the library being a joke when the first letter ot either the artist/album/song is preceded by a stress mark.
I have to admit to being very disappointed as the main reason I purchased a Creative Zen touch is because I had been advised it had multiple language support and I did want to load all my music to the player with greek characters.
To anyone else out there with the same problem, make yourselves known and start asking for firmware updates to include greek language support, especially for people buying Creative's players in Greece.Message Edited by Tomaraki on 09-30-2006 06:00 PM

  • Greek language support for ipod touch?

why the greek language is not included in the supported languages for ipod touch?
why there is no greek keyboard nor a speller?
is it so hard to do it?
the greek language is not important?
as fur as i know apple has also a market for ipod in greece as well as other products...
but no greek language support in the ipod... why?

    yes this is also true,
as fur as it goes for displaying text in greek  the results are pretty good.
but when it come to writing...this is a totally different scenario...
unfortunately you have many other options apart from writing greek of curse.
to conclude and this is something that keeps bugling me,
    maybe I am wrong,
but i think that the OS the ipod touch runs is based OSX 10.4 (tiger),
if not mostly the same OS.
if the above assumption is correct in some whey..and by having in mind that the support for many languages is already realized for the above OS
is interesting to notice that the support of this already realized languages is limited in the platform of ipod touch ( concerning writing and spelling).
    how knows...

  • Multi-language support for user-specified text strings used in the forms

multi-language support for user-specified text strings used in the forms
Instead of creating multiple forms, 1 in each different language, for the same service, is there any workaround?

Hoan - is your question what are the considerations when creating multiligual catalogs? If so, I can tell you that at other clients I have seen them use a single catalog for one or two languages. For the two langugages, such as Spanish/English, you can create a single catalog with both of them. Once you get to more than two languages, the catalog would get unweildy and is therefore not suggested.

  • Ukrainian language support for virtual keyboard

I'm very interested to be able to write in Ukrainian language on BlackBerry 10. However, the Ukrainian layout is missing. Thus, I created a new feature request which you can find here: https://www.blackberry.com/jira/browse/BBTEN-858.
If anybody else is also interested, please, follow the link and vote for it.

Any news on this at all? Any word from BlackBerry or elsewhere that Ukrainian will be included as a keyboard input option in future OS updates?
No news from my side but there's an article on ITC.ua which states that Ukrainian mobile operator MTS announced Ukrainian language support for BlackBerry 7 and 10 to be delivered by this summer. Not sure, however, whether it will be included in all ROMs or in some custom MTS one. Here's this article: http://itc.ua/news/smartfonyi-blackberry-poluchat-podderzhku-ukrainskogo-yazyika/

  • Russian language support for iPod 10 GB (firewire) ?

Is there a Russian language support for that iPod (not iTunes, for the device itself)?
    Thanks

You should ask this in the forum for that device, which is here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=151
You should also identify your ipod more exactly if possible. Here is a chart:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61688
Then you can probably find the tech specs via Apple or Google. Here is one example (Russian not supported).

  • Chinese language support for adobe reader for HP WEBOS?

is there any traditional chinese language support for adobe reader for HP WEBOS?
if yes, where can I download?

Pat, I got an answer this morning. Not sure if you saw it because I don't see it posted here for some reason.  This is the answer:
Re: forum support for Adobe Reader
created by Nikhil.Gupta in Adobe Reader - View the full discussion
The request being sent to the akamai server, (even when the Reader updater setting is turned OFF) is for updating the Adobe Approved Trust List (http://www.adobe.com/security/approved-trust-list.html).
The Adobe Approved Trust List is a program that allows millions of users around the world to create digital signatures that are trusted whenever the signed document is opened in Adobe® Acrobat® or Reader® software. Essentially, both Acrobat and Reader have been programmed to reach out to a web page to periodically download a list of trusted "root" digital certificates.
If you want you can specifically turn off the auto update functionality for the same by navigating to Edit > Preferences > Trust Manager from within the Reader application. Look under the "Automatic Updates" section and you can change the setting as required or chose for the application to ask before updating the root certificates.

  • Languages supported for IW8ISO8859P8

Hi, wondering if anyone knows what are the languages supported for IW8ISO8859P8
    E.g.:
    NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.IW8ISO8859P8
    NLS_LANG=HEBREW_ISRAEL.IW8ISO8859P8
any others besides the above two?

Note sure which date format you'd like. But such change is noticable at least like in the following:

  • Turkish Language Support for iPhone

    When will
Turkish Language Support for iPhone and
    Turkish Keyboard Support for iPhone
    Turkish Auto-Correction and Turkish Dictionary
    be available?

Yes, Apple never responds such questions. I also sent them feedback on their web site (http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html). No response.
Happily though, Apple released iPhone firmware 2.2. And with that Turkish language support and Turkish Keyboard support (sort of) are available at last! (Several months later Apple officially released iPhone in Turkey!)
Turkish Keyboard support is sort of available because it is not a real keyboard. You can see and use Turkish characters only by pressing your finger on their english counterparts and waiting a while. Auto correction for Turkish language is not available yet.
PS: I do not wait a response from Apple. I just want to hope that some folks from Apple may be reading these discussions.
    thanks

  • Japanese Language Support for Jolt

    Hi All,
We are facing a problem with Japanese language support for
Jolt 1.2. Our present system configuration is as follows:
Win 95 (Japanese) Client (using ASP) -> Win NT Japanese Webserver
    -> Tuxedo 6.4 (japanese) on HP-UX -> Oracle 8.0.5.
Without Jolt, our system is running fine. But with ASP web connectivity,
Jolt is returning garbage characters for the Japanese fields. We
believe that this is because Jolt java classes will support only
    ISO_8895_1 encoding (?) while the
one we want in our front end is Shift_JIS.
Has anyone already written a wrapper class to get around this?
Or is there a more elegant solution? Any sample code would be greatly
    appreciated.

Could you provide the url of an example?
If you know Japanese well and don't get an answer here, you might want to try the Japanese forums:

  • German language support for SRM

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement of enabling German language support for SRM.
    Environment -
    SRM 5.0
    R/3 4.6c
    Unicode enabled
    Catalog enabled
    Classic scenario
There are a couple of BADI's implemented along with custom error messages. As of now we are not getting the logon language as German in the dropdown list in the ITS login page. The only language visible in the dropdown is English
Can you provide step by step pointers / document / configuration details on activities on how the German language can be implemented? Specific steps that need to be followed, aspects to be considered, translations to be maintained in which all tables etc.
    Regards,
    Amish

    Hello Amish,
Your previous post is locked, how come?
    Hello Amish,
I'm not 100% sure on this but i think the required 'german' language hasn't been installed (SAP Basis) if it's not comming up on the logon page.
In addition the following things should atleast be taken into account:
    - Define external webservices (translations)
    - Masterdata translations (f.e. productgroups/UOM/currency etc.)
    - Smartforms and/or custom smartforms need to be set up for your language.
In addition there will probably be some of the 'usual note translation fixes' that need to be implemented.
This won't be a 100% answer but i'm hoping it's usefull and with the help of other people we can get a finger on all required steps.
    Kind regards,
    Tim

  • Greek language support

Are you planning to support greek language?

  • How to configure Oracle National Language Support for Hindi

    Hello
I am Working on one library project and right now it is in foxpro.
it is working in local(hindi) language using c-dec software. Now i want to run this project using oracle national
language support.i have done lots of rnd on that but till could not get success.what's wrong with that?
Following the step i am applied for that
1 I have create the database using in8iscii character set. Because In8iscii support the Hindi Language.
2 Set the variable NLS_LANG = hindi_india.in8iscii in environment. I am using the Windows 2000 OS because
    it supports the Hindi font(Mangal).
3 I am using the Oracle Developer as front end so using mangal font in front end i am able to display data
in Hindi format that's why i am selected Windows 2000 os.
4 I have done the special setting in Windows 2000 for Hindi.it is in controlpanel-regional setting-click the indic option
for india and in input locals set keyboard layout as Hindi also.
5 I also changed the Init.ora file and add the NLS_LANGUAGE = Hindi
nls_territory = india. now, I opens the database using this Init.ora file.
6 But It can't display the data in Hindi format.I could not able to display the data in Front End also.
So,pls help me in Oracle and also guide me in Linux platform also.
    null

    Hi Nimit,
I have tried inserting Hindi/Marathi into an Oracle database (I have tried versions 8.0.6 and 8.1.7).
I created the database using UTF8 character set. The NLS_LANG was set to AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8. Inserts into the database were via iSQL*Plus or import. For querying I used OCI and Pro*C. The data for my app is being served up as XML. I have not tried Developer. The DB platforms have been both HPUX and Win2K, while the client platform has been Win2K/IE5.5 SP2. I have been using Code2000 as the font.
Did you manage to view the stored data using the export utility ?
Also, you can try using yudit to edit unicode files on Linux.

  • Language Support for iPhone

I just got the iphone this morning. Its pretty good, except for two big problems. One is the EDGE network, which is slow, but nothing to be done about that.
The second is the lack of language support. I expected it to support the languages that OS X does, but it seems that the iphone is most limited in this regard. Of particular irritation to me is the lack of Hebrew support, as a good chunk of my iTunes library is in hebrew. In addition, websites don't render correctly with unsupported languages...
Is this going to be fixed? soon?!

    Tom,
The limitation seems to be one of the 4 included encodings that are in Mac OSX's version of Safari, but not supported by iPhone's Mail interface. I received 6 emails from Japan (thru the iPhone's Yahoo mail interface) and one of them came in as junk characters. In a browser, you can just keep trying the other encodings to make the junk characters readable-this is not possible (from what I can tell) within iPhone's mail interface.
If I have time, I will log into the Yahoo mail account directly thru Safari on the iPhone, to see if that works better than iPhone mail-but I'm assuming they use a similar encoding scheme. I also assume that once they release the iPhone in Japan, this will be addressed
