Green and Orange Flashing lights - ipod still wont work after Reset Utility

I bought my daughter an ipod shuffle 1st gen last
year. It stopped working, did everything I was
suppose to do, sent it back to Apple, they sent me a
new one. Now the stupid thing is flashing green and
orange lights at me! I've tried restoring it with
Reset Utility, but they are still blinking at me.
This is supposed to be a newly refurbished ipod, I
only recieved it today, so by rights it should be
working...am I doing something wrong? It is
charging, it is recognised in my computer but not in
itunes. What is going on? Can anybody help...this is
so frustrating.
Hold on... Alternating green and orange for 2 seconds means there's no playable music on it. Alternating green and TWO orange for 10 seconds means that it has to be restored. WHICH light pattern are you referring to?
What do you mean it's not recognised in iTunes? Does it NOT show up in the left most (Sources) panel?

Orange Flashing light, ipod is recongnized

Alright I have had my ipod for about 10-11 months now, and just in the past couple days it has started acting up. When I plug in my ipod shuffle, it shows up in itunes saying that "Updating ipod, do not disconnect" and then it goes on to say "ipod update is complete". It's like my shuffle is updated but not completley. I think it happened after i downloaded the latest itunes software but then got it to work briefly after i downloaded the latest ipod updater. I don't know what to do.

and now I can put songs on my shuffle, take them off and the update process completes so I can safely remove my shuffle from my computer but I still can't turn my ipod on dispite it be fully charged.

last night i downloaded the new os for apple. i plug it in to the comp and its in recovery mode? anyway then i install the update and restore, (that was the only option i could do) but now my ipod after restarting wont go past the boot menu, also my computer no longer recognizes my ipod any help anywhere?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Liquify filter in photoshop cc still wont work after full reinstall

macbook pro running osx 10.8.4
8 gig ram.
I've uninstalled all adobe software, used the adobe cleaner, reinstalled the applications manager. nothing works.

When you say nothing works, what exactly does that mean? Does the Liquify dialog come up? Can you see a preview? Does the filter crash Photoshop? Had it been working before? Did it stop working after a Photoshop or OS upgrade? Also posting your Photoshop system info would help to figure this out.

"1" key still not working after reset

I posted a while ago about my 1 key not working on my laptop (iBook G3 800MHz)or an external keyboard. I was advised to try resetting PRAM and then PMU. I finally did both with some help and the process did not fix the "1" key. I am only able to type a "1" by using the num lock key on the laptop or the 10-key pad on the external keyboard.
Does anyone have any more suggestions as to how I can try to fix this problem?

P.S. A friend of mine told me to hide the keyboard .plist from the preferences library but there was no such plist. Is this a difference between 10.3.9 and the new 4.0 OSX? I saw the keyboard .plist on her machine but when I got home I didn't have one.

Open the Speech pane of System Preferences and check whether either the speech key or the listening key has become set to that keystroke; if so, change the setting.

Do you have Final Cut installed on your machine?

Sounds like it's still under warranty (one year). Take it back for replacement.

Whats the green and orange light blinking at the same time?

Since i upgraded to itunes 5.0, i lost my itunes , i can not open it no more, installed it again same thing. Now my Shuffle won't work, when you touch play it will blink the green and orange light. Can not speak with a shuffle agent because 3 months passed. And they want you to nuy an a contract for $59.00 for something that cost $149.00?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Make sure that you have do not disturb off. If you pull up notification center it will be the crescent moon.
