Green Display on iPhone 4s
Posting for my cousin who is having an issue with her phone since this morning. Her display is all green. She says she dropped the phone a few days ago (it's also in an otterbox). When she turns on Siri it acts normal, but the display shows the "voice control" image. She can still operate the phone, but it's difficult to see anything. I asked her to send me a screenshot, and on her end it is green but the image that was sent looks like a perfectly normal iPhone. Any ideas on what is wrong with it?
it was from the display protector on the screen?
Most likely that is the reason. I have a screen protector on and see similar issues when the iPhone is not on. They're not noticeable when turned on. Remove it and see the difference.

My iPhone (iPhone 5S) getting green display after one second going to switch off then automatically ON during FaceTime call. My OS version now 7.0.4. I think recent update actually to fix the above issue but still continues.
Similar issue Andrew. After installing 8.0, the IOS deleted 225 songs from one of my playlists, and I'm still "recalling" songs that are no longer in my Music Library. Fortunately, although the playlist of 235 had only 6 songs left on it ( on my Mac), the Playlist was not erased from my I -Phone. I was able to recreate the Playlist on my Mac, using the intact playlist on my phone. When I synched however, I was back to square one. I went to the Apple store, and I had to reset the phone . We also downloaded IOS 8.02. They saved my playlist in the Cloud, deleted it from my Mac, then synched it. Lo and behold, the playlist I recreated on my Mac, synched to my I Phone. After the reset, I had like 11GB of free space. (Its been 5 days since the "reset" and the number of GBs fluctuates from day to day !!)
When I got home from the Apple store I spent after hours reinstalling all the apps, synchng the phone to the Bluetooth in my car ( you know the rest of the saga) , I purchased a song from I Tunes. I "drag and dropped" it into a Playlist, and synched. Didn't work. Song shows in "Recently Added", but the drag and drop feature doesn't work. Bottom line, I'm not willing to "reset" my phone every time I add a song ! I've tried any number of fixes posted to this support community, but none have worked for me.
Furthermore, it took me 3 hours to get the phone re-synched to the Bluetooth system in my car. However every time I connect to "Bluetooth Audio", the system needs to "find" and "reconnect to" my phone. If you ( or anyone else ) finds something that might work for both the music synch and /or the Bluetooth, I'd appreciate your input.

I have an iPhone 3G too, and actually you can't see the % battery life in your display. Try to download an application that I have, it's called Battery and you can see you battery life of your iPhone. It's pretty good;) -

Unfortunetly, in situations like this, the ONLY other way to bypass that four-digit passcode and/or a disabled device is to connect to a computer with the most recent version of iTunes (11.1.3), connect the device in Recovery Mode and restore it to factory settings. Restoring to factory will completely wipe the device, including the four-digit passcode.
The steps to do so are outlined in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
(If there is any other way to bypass the passcode, it would have to be third-party, which I am not familiar with any program that can, sorry!). -

Der Display meines iPhone 4 ist schwarz und reagiert nicht mehr. Vibration, Sprachsteuerung und Ein-und Ausschalten funktioniert aber noch. Anfangs hat das Display auch noch leicht geleuchtet aber jetzt nicht mehr. In den letzten Tagen war das Display auch schon mehrmals schwarz, allerdings immer nur für ziemlich kurze Zeit und es ging danach auch alles wieder einwandfrei.
Have you tried resetting your iDevice?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost. -

About the "magic" mint-green borders on iPhones, iPads ...
Just recently I found my golden iPhone 5S to show strange green borders on display.
I called Apple, reported the problem and they sent me a new unit for 29€.
Some time later I won an iPod Touch 5G on Ebay. Told to be in a fine condition. It had a dent. But what was a real problem for me: Green borders. The same borders I knew from my iPhone 5S.
As the iPod was still under EU warranty (up to 2 years) I gave it to a Re-Seller workshop who reported the flaw and sent a claim to Apple. But Apple refuses to solve the problem. Apple says, the dent would be a clue against the suspicion the green borders had made an appearance before the device shipped.
There are 3 very clear hints that the borders had been caused by a lack that existed before the unit was sold:
1) My iPhone 5S
2) Reports of other users with the same problem.
3) It is absolutely impossible to explain who anyone would be able to cause such a flaw.
I don´t see why Apple is stealing itself away with some strange explanation.
What do you think ? Am I right or wrong ? Same problem anywhere else ?Well. This is not caused by any app nor is it a software fault in general. But someone told me, that the owner could have let change the screen after the damage that caused the dent. Anyway, this problem exists. The question is how many units are affected and why this is. Faint green boarder on iPhone 5 screen
I bought my iphone 5 of some people I briefly know. And after a day of having it I noticed there's a faint green boarder going all around the side of the screen.. What is it?
I don't think the phone is still under warranty. So if I were to take it to apple how much would it cost to get fixed? I'm pretty annoyed as I've had the phone for only a day..I have the same iusse, it is a common iphone 5 display iusse. Probably the people from whom you bought it knew the problem...
