Are you able to have your light flashing green like past Blackberries?

Hello. The green flashing light feature alerting you about signal appears to have been removed and is not available for BlackBerry 10. At least not yet.

  • Rapid green flashing light ?dead Ax

    Hi all,
Was listening to airtunes and then heard a crackling sound, followed by silence.
I have tried to reset my airport express to no avail. The light is rapidly flashing green (different from the slow blink of a successful reset)
Soft reset-> does not show up on network
Hard reset -> flashes rapidly green only
Factory reset -> green (solid), orange (solid), then flashes rapidly green.
I checked the apple page explaining the meaning of all the types of light flashes - but this type of flashing isn't listed! Is my Ax dead? Thanks to anyone who can help.

    Hi,
I also got those quick bkinking green light. Started couple of weeks ago on a brand new Airport my parents bought in Canada. It only worked for 2 weeks.
Since I live in Madagascar, it's VERY frustrating ; having to wait for the next trip home (months ahead!) to get this fixed.
This is my second Airport Express. Love the design, love the feature, but HATED the product. Wonder if the Airport Extreme is of a better production...
I guess I'll pass this one and go for a Linksys or Netgear.
    Sigh...

  • Rapid green flashing led on airport extreme

I have just plugged in my Airport Extreme after not using for a year and it has a rapid green flashing led status light, the Airport utility does not find it so I assume that there is a hardware problem? Does anyone know what a rapid (very) green flashing light means?

Unfortunately, a rapid green flashing light is usually a symptom of an internal power supply failure.  If you have an Apple Store in your area....suggest that you take it to them to let them have a look.
Otherwise, you can contact Apple Support directly at http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

  • Blackberry Torch 9800 key lights on front of device stay on all the time, even in standby

    Hello Everyone,
I have a Blackberry Torch 9800 and it was not giving any screen output.
I completed a security wipe of all the info on the device and fixed the issue.
I can use the phone now.
Upon putting the phone in standby the screen shuts off as its supposed to, but the key lights on the front of the device stay on. This drains the battery.
I have searched all over the internet to figure out how to solve this issue and no dice.

  • Torch 9800 Not turning on/red light blinking

I have Torch 9800 that won't turn on.
I've seen a few other posts on here and it seems this is a common issue, I've tried a few of the fixes suggested but no luck so far.
My 9800 has the latest version of BB OS available (unless there was one released within the last 4 days)
The red light only comes on when charged and goes on and off. When plugged into my PC it disconnects from the PC and then reconnects. Sometimes the charging battery symbol comes on and the blackberry loading screen after but the blackberry loading screen shuts off.
I have tried a new battery and that is not the issue.
I read that you can do an OS reload but my BB is not showing as connected under my connections (the noise indicates a device has been plugged in)
I'm at the end of my rope and need to know what to do !

Try following the steps here to reload the software on the device:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Device-software-for-BlackBerry/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-S...
Unfortunately you won't be able to backup the data on your device, but if you had BlackBerry Protect installed, you should be able to get most of your data back.
If you have any problems getting it to connect to the Loader.exe file in Step 2, unplug your phone and remove the battery, then plug the phone back in, and as soon as your PIN shows up, select Next. Don't worry if you miss it, just unplug the phone, plug it back in and try again.
    I hope this info helps!

If your issue is resolved, don't forget to click the Solution button on the resolution!

  • Torch 9800 wont turn on and the red light blinking..

hi..im new at here..ive got problem with my bb torch 9800..last day after charging my phone..it cant turn on and the red light blinking..ive tried connect my phone to computer but it cant recognize my devise..ive tried many way to solve it like using BBSAK but it still cant connect to my devise..id tried using blackberry devise manager software but the problem still exist..really2 need ur help now..
*ive update my phone OS to the latest one..didnt know if that is the problem..need ASAP..

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I am very confused by your post. You say you can't connect your device...to your computer? If so, how did you manage to upgrade the BB OS? Given that, from what you've described, you can use BBSAK, that would require connecting to your computer, but then you say you can't. So I'm confused.
Please try posting again, and be 100% clear about exactly what the symptom is that you wish to resolve, exactly all of the steps you have attempted (e.g., "like using BBSAK" isn't enough...what, exactly, did you do with BBASK?), and exactly the results of each step of what you have attempted.
    Thanks and let us know!

  • 2nd gen green-yellow flashing lights with content on iPod

so I looked up the definition of the alternating green-yellow flashing lights and it apparently means that there's no content on the iPod.
But when connected to Mac iTunes it shows that there actually is content on it. Hmmm. I can even play that content *from* the iPod through iTunes interface and hear it through the powerbook speakers.
I ran the iPod reset utility, reset the firmware in iTunes and reloaded the podcasts. Still the same thing.
Seems to sync fine. Don't know what's going on with this.

Make sure the mode switch is set to "play-in-order" and NOT "shuffle".
Flashing green-yellow means there's no PLAYABLE content on the shuffle.

  • Black screen red flashing light

    Plz help.
Today my touch screen on my bb torch 9800 wouldnt work, I did a battery pull and now my phone wont switch back on. the screen is black and there is a red flashing light.
I have had my bb neary 18 months and never had a prob before.
Can you advise what i should do next,

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Put your BB onto a known-good wall charger for 2 hours, and do not touch it. Then, with it still on that charger, remove the battery, leaving it out for 5 minutes (with the BB still on that charger!). Put the battery back in. If it boots up, leave it alone (still on the charger) for 5 hours to see if it will fully charge and function again.
    Good luck!

  • Neo2 865 Flashing lights messages?

    Hi all,
I registered because I didn't seem to be finding what I was looking for, anywhere. I have been using a MSI Neo2 865(PE? It has the two SATA connectors but no Promise chip) mainboard since late 2003, and overall I'm impressed with its ability to handle a good many things I throw it. (For years I've run a dual-boot setup on it, with an Ultra-ATA drive versed in 98 and a SATA drive versed in XP, plugged through a hardware power switcher so that only one drive is powered at any time, giving the power supply some breathing room to run an ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 video card, a Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro sound card with outboard box (powered by the power supply still), a DVD+RW/-RW drive, two SATA drives connected to a RAID-0/1 PCI card, and a floppy drive.)
Through the years, I seem to notice that the "flashing lights", that I always thought meant to be a decoration, would suddenly change in certain situations. This has come to light (pardon the pun) again this weekend as my XP setup now refuses to boot (tried making a boot disk, did a full DOS scan with Norton Antivirus' latest definitions as of two days ago, finding no virus... Heck, when using a Win98 boot disk, I can retrieve the entire boot drive directory structure... XP _just_ _won't_ _load_... and this after getting a surprising Skype error message saying "No audio recorder is present" (or somesuch), which _both_ my audio cards (mobo and Creative) were giving me audible, positive returns... then CRASH! And refuse to boot. Followed Microsoft post 314503 re: XP hanging with a black screen before even the "Windows XP" logo screen shows... all except FIXBOOT, as it's a DOS command).
(NOTE: I am NOT talking about the D-Bracket here!!! I am talking about the square box encasing a set of six lights, arranged in a circle, on the mobo: two green, two red, two blue.)
I'd tried everything with my setup, including disconnecting one memory card and plugging another in. I leave my memory cards loosely in the slots when not in use (I hear you going "Tsk! Tsk!" ) as Windows 98 usually doesn't handle more than 512 kb (I've downloaded a tricky "Service Pack" that allows it to run up to 1 MB of memory), and I don't always need to use 2 Megs of memory in XP. Sometime during the weekend, I noticed that the set of six lights only had its red lights on. I verified its state the next few times I rebooted, and sure enough, the green and blue LEDs were still out. I decided to try loosening the unplugged memory card. Voila! Upon next loadup, all six lights were blinking happily in its regular array of patterns and speeds.
Again during the weekend, there came a time when I tested the XP boot disk again. Nothing. However, this time the lights flashed blue for several 98 boots... no green, no red. I thought this may have something to do with the fact that I couldn't boot from my other (XP) drive. After a few 98 boots, again the lights were blinking happily.
Now, I notice something different again. All lights are solidly on _except_ for one of the blue ones. No blinking, nothing... just solid on.
I've looked high and low for LED error codes (which always invariably brought me back to D-bracket descriptions), blue light (which has brought me to other people's misfortunes which didn't mirror mine) and blue LED (giving a disappointing list of references to Bluetooth). I'm left to believe that if this is, in fact, a diagnostic feature of my Neo2 865(PE?) motherboard, well it isn't a very well known one.
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Glen

those lights can just stop working = no big deal, the fan the lights are mounted in can become noisy, as so many have just disconnected the fan and went without, a replacement fan can be mounted if you wish.
a dual boot setup needs both drives available [not disconnected ] at all times, the memory needs to be continually in place, this connect/disconnect [hard drives/memory sticks] will lead to problems.
i suggest you plug in all and test ram with memtest86+ for a few hours, test hard drives with the downloadable diagnostic software, if pass then reload 98 first, then xp, and quit monkeying around with your system before you break it for good, if you havn't allready.

  • BLACKBERRY TORCH 9800

Hello everyone. A few days ago the screen of my blackberry torch 9800 stopped working, if i switch on my phone the keyboard and the red light on the too of the screen work, but the screen stays black. I would like to know if somebody else had this problem and if i have to change the entire screen to solve it or there's something else i can do. Thanks

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Failing that, I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may indeed have a hardware problem...for which no amount of OS or Software level "fixes" can be of any use.
Nevertheless, you may want to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

  • Synchronizing Outlook Calendar entries with a Torch 9800

I have a customer with a Torch 9800 who is suffering a problem so severe that I can't believe it's a problem that RIM have ignored so I'm assuming there must be a solution.
The problem is that when Intellisync synchronizes the Torch, all Calendar appointments (other than recurring ones) older than 2 months are deleted - not only from the Torch (which is mildly acceptable), but also from Outlook (which is 100% totally unacceptable).  These entries are unrecoverable and the customer's historical records have been competely destroyed!!!   If this is not a bug I can't imagine who on God's Earth thought this might be a good idea!!!
Whilst I recognise that "synchronise" suggests that both devices should end up the same I also recognise that storage limitations in the Torch may be unable to cope with the volume of appointments stored over the years in Outlook but I see no reason for such limitation - if that is the reason.
The settings for Intellisync are currently set to 365 days, both past and future, but this seems to be ignored with the 2 month past history being the limit imposed without choice.
If someone can shed any light is this issue I would be most appreciative.
    Regards
    Dave

Nokia has helped me with a solution...
    My previous sync settings were:
    1. automatic synchronisation - do not synchroniseautomatically 2. conflict resolution - Microsoft outlook 3. Direction - updatein both directions 4. Sync profile - empty
I have now created a sync profile on the phone and haveset the same one on PC sync (not sure if that did anything)
I also changed the Direction setting to: Delete allmobile phone data and replace it with outlook data
    And have run a sync.
This has worked to delete all old outlook emails etc. Ican see that I will need to do this every now and again to ensure that thephone doesn't get full of old entries.
I will now return the sync setting to - update in bothdirections. Until I need to do it again.
    Thanks for your help everyone.

  • Green flashes when rendering in Premiere CC 2014

    Hi there,
I'm an in-house cameraman and editor for a financial business in London. I'm using the latest Macbook Pro Retina with 16gb ram, NVidia 750 graphics card. I've been using the same method for editing for past two years but have only just started editing with the very latest 2014 version of Premiere cloud. I'm mixing PM-100 and Sony EX1 footage which i've done many times before. However i've spend hours trying to get rid of green flashes that have started to appear on the renders.
These seem consistent with using the PMW-100 as the EX1 footage seems ok. I can replace the error clips with something else but then the render error moves to another part of the rendering.
These flashes can't be seen in playback within the editor, only after rendering.
I'm trying to work out if its the camera, camera drives, Macbook Pro Retina or Premiere.
Can anyone help shed light on this?
    Andy

I was having the same problem, and couldn't find a fix. It was also screwing up certain effects, particularly warp stabilizer every time I rendered or exported. Finally, I tried changing the renderer from Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Open CL) to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only, and it worked like a charm. Go to File -> Project Settings -> General and select the renderer from the dropdown menu. Make sure to also change the renderer when you export. Using Adobe Media Encoder, be sure to select "Mercury Playback Engine Software Only" in the dropdown menu next to "Renderer" before you export.
This has completely eliminated the problem for me.
