Green line scanning screen

Hello, I've noticed that there is some sort of green line scanning my screen on Iphone, anyone seen something like this before?

Make a backup of your phone and take it to an Apple Store. It looks like something is damaged because the green line shows up in screenshots

I was just using my mac as usual when suddenly bright green lines started flashing on my screen. It has done this a bit recently, but it would flash for about 2 seconds and then go back to normal, this time it has stayed! I am assuming it is a loose wire connection somewhere or something like that. Someone please help!

Green line on screen during boot only

hi, i've a problem with my macbook pro 13" late 2011! After an re-initialization on my macbook happens that only during boot i see a green vertical line on the right side of my display and it disappear after login. This green line starts from the upper side and finish to the down side. Can it be a problem deriverd from a bad os installation??

Try a pram reset:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Option, Command (⌘), P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on your Mac.
Immediately press and hold the Option-Command-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears. Continue holding the keys down until your Mac restarts, and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Purchased Imac May 2010. Now having issues as on disply tare 5 vertical sets of purple and green lines than screen fills up with square dotsm evenly space3d. Is my Imac repairable?

My macbook pro keeps flashing green lines across the screen then freezing, can anyone help?

Back in December my macbook started doing this thing quite regularly where it would flash black or green lines all across the screen, for maybe half a second, then the screen would freeze, so I would power it down manually then back on again. I took it into a store and paid a lot of money for them to "fix" it, but when I got it back it was still doing it. I just recently took it in to a different store and the guy said he couldn't reproduce the problem, but replaced the RAM and gave it back to me. Within a day of having it back the same thing happened, twice. At this point I'm not sure what to do, the money I spent on "fixing" it could almost have bought me a new one. The most recent time I shut it off, when it was turning back on it stopped on the grey screen with the apple and started making a continuous beeping sound, which I took a video of. Does anybody know why any of this is happening??

Hi Were you using the apple store for the repairs you had done? As to the point of taking in to a store to have it repaired and getting it back with the same problem. It should have been taken back to the same store as they have to stand behind what they do. You do not say what they repaired. The store replacing ram without knowing what the problem is ,is questionable. If you are going to change ram for the original apple installed ram, you need to make sure it is compatible with your MBP. One of the best sources for this is Macsales.com. My MacPro 10.6.8 has a thin green line on the screen.

My MacPro is just over a year old now and I have a thin green line on the screen. I hooked it up to my TV and on the second window (the TV) the green line wasn't there. Whats the issue? How do I fix it?

From what you are saying, sounds like a line of pixels out on the display.
Did the TV use the same connector on the computer? If not, swap the display with the TV. If you still have the line, it is one of the items that you swapped across.
Have you tried connecting the display to another computer? If so, is the line still there?
What kind of display is it? Can you swap the data cable and try a different cable, could be a cable issue.
Any adapters in use? If so, try swapping those to rule them out as a problem.

I'm not sure, if you're out of warrenty it'll cost quite a bit for the replacement of the logic board replacement...unless you have apple care. you could ask apple to try and recover your hard drive but i'm not sure.

JPEG files are not layered files they are just image files so the green lines are a part of that file.
Usually cross lines are added to prevent anyone from using the file without proper rights, its a way of safeguarding the artwork.
You have to ask the owner of the file to remove the lines for you.

Dynex 32" Flat screen with green lines and audio problem

I bought thisDynex 32" flat screen in September and it has started to develop problems. It will be on and green lines start forming and go away. Then the sound goes in and out. The green lines come back and the sound works sparsely. I am wondering what is the issue. I have tried unconnected everything; leaving the power off for hours. Somedays it works great or sometimes out of the blue it just craps out but lately I am getting more bad days than good ones. Any help or suggestions would be great. All I got from Dynex was that I had to bring the TV back to BestBuy and have a master technician look at it....

Sounds like it needs servicing. If you bought it in September it should still be under the 1 yr manufacturer warranty. You can bring it into the store with your receipt and have customer service send it to service for you. It will be returned to the store and can be picked up when service is complete. I will say, however, warranty service can be lengthy. Expect to not have your TV for a few weeks.

Green wavey lines on screen

My iMac 1.9 Ghz PowerPC isight has suddenly started displaying wavey green lines (horizontally across the screen) these come and go and change if you move an active window about the screen. Sometimes the whole screen takes on a pale green tinge, and sometimes the entire screen 'goes' I lose all content of screen and get white-out with some pale colours.
I have zapped pram and nvram. I have tried the re-set pmu technique. My serial number starts with W854 XXXXXX
Is anyone else having these problems? and can anyone offer any suggestions. I would really like to keep this PPC mac going as I have lots of software which won't run on intel macs.

I, too, am experiencing green lines with my iSight camera (standalone) when I use iChat or PhotoBooth. I first noticed this happening on my PPC G4.
But now I have a new Intel Mac Pro (Dual 3.0ghz Quad / 8-core) and the iSight still displays the green lines (looks like the Matrix) on the left half of the screen only...the right side is fine. I would upload a screen shot, but don't think I can on here.
So being that it's doing this on both computers, I assume my iSight is not working properly or is broken? Any help would be appreciated.

Why do I have a green line on edge of screen

New MacAir my pride and joy. I have only had it a few months from new and hardly used it. Now it has a green line running down the edge of the screen.
Is this a software problem or hardware problem?

That's a hardware issue, probably with your display. Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is to take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller to have it repaired. If the computer is in warranty, the repair will be free of charge

It is probably a display or display connector issue. To check this, take a screenshot of the display by pressing Command, Shift and 3 keys. Then, open the screenshot created in Desktop, and see if the line appears. If not, it is a display issue.
If you have not got a MacBook Pro with Retina display, you can repair this yourself. You just need to look for the display connector of your MacBook Pro model in the Internet and install it, and if this does not work, you have to replace the whole display.
However, if you do not know a lot about computers or your Mac is in warranty, you should take the Mac to an Apple Store or reseller to get it repaired

I am getting a weird green line at the bottom of my screen...

I am trying to burn a DVD in iDVD.
I keep getting a green line at the bottom of the screen. I tried "squaring" the pixels before outputting the project, but I didn't render the project this way in FCP before trying that.
Could that be the problem?
I also tried buring at 1x.
Any help would help!

Well to answer the questions. This artifact is in fact a physical one because you can see it when you boot the Mac and sign in with a different profile. I decided to test my luck at the local Apple Store just to see what they said. They looked at the display for about 3 minutes and then said that it would be nearly 700 bucks for parts and labor to basically put a new display on my laptop. He said that since its a TFT screen chances are on of the layers within the screen are messed up hence I see this black line. I decided Im going to look elsewhere and see if I can't find a solution here. If worse comes to worse, then I'll live with it till the Pro Book is out and get that with Apple care.

Itunes is reconizes it and it still makes sound when i get an email but nothing else! please help!!

Such symptoms bode serious hardware issues and you shouldn't think about fixing it yourself when you are still in waranty. Get to an Apple Store, like the other poster suggests.
