Green or blue hue when printing in Elements 11

I get a green or blue hue when printing in Elements 11.  Printer color control is off.  Need help to eliminate color hue when printing.

Oh yes it has Barbara.  David is right.  Have a look at Elements 5.  I got that free and would still be using it if I hadn't had to upgraded to Windows 7.  I've now had to buy Elements 11 because Elements 5 wouldn't load and Elements 11 does not have that fascility that David laments.  I used that printing option almost exclusively for printing cards and I bitterly regret not having it now.  I'm very disappointed with these printing options in Elements 11.  The problem is that Photoshop eminates from the one country in 180 that seems manacled to its imperial measurements that the rest of the world has to keep wading through. I expect that to acquire my favourite printing fascility I shall have to get the full verson.  I have seen it in screenshots, so I know that it is there.  It's all very well for Barbara to say resize before entering the print window but this is just trial and error and takes forever.  In the meantime I shall continue to spend ages working round this cumbersome resizing problem each time I print my cards.

  • Custom resizing images when printing in Elements 11

Hi friends .... I could use some help ... When I was using an older Photoshop version ...I could select "print with preview" and there I could adjust the size and proportion of the image to the paper size - I would see the paper in a preview box and could adjust the image by sliding the box at the corner points and size the image any way I wanted ... and could see the actual preview of how the image could fit on the paper .... in Elements 11 - even if I do a PDF and print in Preview- there's no way I can see to do that ... I only see options for set sizes- even under the custom sizing menu ... I'm using exactly the same printer that I used with Photoshop - so I'm assuming this is a limitation with Elements ... I don't even see the option in Elements printing to change the image percentage as I've been used to with any other page setup before .... Please give any advice - this is making printing exactly what I want pure guesswork and is very difficult for me ...there must be something I'm missing when I print with Elements 11 .... thanks for any help ...

  • Green Hue when Printing on Epson Stylus Pro 9600

    I have an iMac
I've just upgraded to Photoshop CS5
I've downloaded the newest drivers for my Epson Printer
I've attempted to print using Adobe 1998, SRGB, and a special ICC profile made just for my printer/type of paper
Each time I print my photos have a green cast over them. Everything looks perfect on the Mac, but when it prints, everything is green. Please help

Okay so it looks like that took the green tinge off the pages and now they are just printing darker than they should, so I cleaned the nozzles, and am messing around with the settings again and hopefully this means I'm on the right track to getting perfectly colored prints again. Thank you very much. I'll call Epson from here with the fine tuning. I can't believe I missed such an easy fix. Well I thought I had it, but didn't double check that it stuck!

  • Greenish hue when printing - in Leopard (not Snow Leopard)

I use to be able to print to my Epson 2200 letting Photoshop CS4 extended manage my colors, and get beautiful prints.  I'm not sure what changed, but now all of my prints have a greenish/blueish hue.  I'm still using the same ICC profiles, same printer, and as always, am turning off the printer's color management so that I'm not "double" color managing.  When I print from Lightroom, the images look great!  My photos look pretty identical in Lightroom and in Photoshop, but print very different.  Any ideas as to what's going on?  I'd love to be able to get good prints from Photoshop again.
    Thanks!

I think this may be a case of the HP drivers not being the same version. Can you provide more detail on the two machines, which one's sharing the printer and what version of the OS it's running? Also, if it is a USB printer, does it work if you connect it directly to the Leopard machine?

  • Blue screen when opening premiere elements 7

Hello i am new to this program i installed premiere with no problem and the first time i opened it it gave me a blue screen
ive been searching around and ive been told that its got sometihng to do with my drivers my video drivers
i have a nvidia gefore 6150 LE and i am upgrading ym drivers now so
any other informatio nthat will help me solve my problem just kinda scared me because i had music on at the time and was acting crazy
    was not a BSOD though

You don't say if you're using XP or Vista -- but there are things you should do with both.
    1) Ensure that you have at least 50 gigabytes of free, defragmented hard drive space
    2) Ensure that you have from 1 - 2 gigabytes of RAM
    3) Ensure that your operating sytems is completely up to date (not just automatic critical updates) and that all of your firmware and drivers are up to date. This may mean several trips to Windows Update, followed by reboots, to get even the "hidden" updates. XP is on SP3 and Vista is just releasing SP2.
Also make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime, which plays an essential role in video editing.

  • IPhoto 4.0.3 color and Brightness problems when printing out photos.

In addition to my previous question, I forgot to mention that opening the iPhoto 4 JPEG photos in Photoshop also import as dark and reddish tinted. Help?

This color management thing gets pretty complicated. To get the best results you have to synch monitor calibration with camera and print settings.
There is also the difference between additive (light)and subtractive (pigment- ink) color. The monitor starts with black - 0%, adds red, green and blue to a pixel (picture element) and gets white 100%. A printer starts with white (paper) and when all the colors are added gets black - this is different then using true black ink.
So by their nature the display on the monitor and print are quite different. Typically monitors are set to maximum brightness and contrast. A photo appears light and less than saturated. Printing at BEST PHOTO lays on lots of ink dpi. So the print is going to be saturated and darker than the monitor image - for most users.
Professionals go to great effort to calibrate and control the effect of printing versus display. For us users it takes experimenting and experience to be able to judge the difference between display and output (print).
I have found that using Adobe RGB settings the photo as seen in PhotoShop is very close to the high quality print PhotoShop produces. That is why I do most adjustments in PhotoShop and use iPhoto for cropping and rotating pictures for the web or email.
The key to getting the best print in iPhoto is your printers color management settings.

  • What happen when printing hyper black?

    Hi all
Imagine you start a new document...after create any element and fill it using C=100, M=100, Y=100 and K=100. In the Illustrator preferences I have set output blacks accuratelly. So we will have 100% of colors at all the plates in press.
Ok..this is my question: Why would occur when printing this element hyper black? Would it "crash" the paper because it´s to much concentration of ink? or what?
It´s a question about graphic production..not how to do do anythin in Illustrator.
    Thank you a lot
    See.

It might be that nothing would happen; for example, if the four seps were not printed on the same press run. Suppose the four color job was run on a two color press, with plenty of drying time between runs.
More than 300% ink coverage is not really uncommon. Spot varnish is often printed over areas already pushing the recommended total ink coverage limit; but again, that's on a separate press run after adequate drying time. Same goes for spot inks, like opaque metallics.

  • Can you do Green Screen/Blue Screen/Chroma Key on Adobe Premiere Elements 12 for mac?

Can you do Green Screen/Blue Screen/Chroma Key on Adobe Premiere Elements 12 for mac?  If not, what are the alternatives?

    JimbobT
ChromaKey, GreenScreen Key, and BlueScreen Key are not included in Premiere Elements Mac.
Some suggest Videomerge as the alternative. I do not. But Videomerge is not THE alternative.
Instead, I prefer the Difference Matte as a substitute for the 3 absent keying effects. Please check out my blog post on that which includes
    the how to.
    http://atr935.blogspot.com/2013/05/pe11-difference-matte-as-substitute-for.html
The suggestion has met with good results according to the feedback that I have gotten to this.
I am strictly a Premiere Elements Windows user who does not prefer Videomerge even in Windows.
Please review, consider, and let us know the outcome.
    Thanks.

I have been having a issue with getting the colors on my monitor to match the colors fro my print lab. I now have the monitor calibrated to match the prints but when I open elements it doesn't use the same colors. If i have it use the calibrated profile by changing the color management settings, the color picker no longer shows true white or black. How do I get elements 12 to honor the new calibrated settings?

Ok so I've done what you said and this is what it's come back ....
I don't know that these are the errors , but they're the things which don't look right ...
    Throughout the shut down there is a recurring line ;
    It says ;
    Com.apple.launchd 1 0x100600e70.anonymous.unmount 301 PID still valid
    Then there are 2 more which I think are related ;
Com.apple.securityd 29 PID job has I overstayed its welcome , forcing removal.
Then the same with fseventd 48 and diskarbitrationd 13
Oh and on Launchd1 : System : stray anonymous job at shut down : PID 301 PPID13 PGID 13 unmount...
Then the last process says "about to call: reboot (RB_AUTOBOOT).
    Continuing...
    And stops ...
Hope this means something to you ... Thanks again for your help so far :-)

  • How do I get rid of the green hue when connecting to my TV?

how do I get rid of the green hue when connecting to my TV?

On the TV or iMac display and is Mirroring On or Off?
First check all of your cables, connectors and connections.
If it's a really strong green hue, then there is probably something wrong with the cabling or a connection.
If it is only slightly off hue, then go to: System Preferences > Displays > select the Color tab for whichever  and try selecting a different Display Profile or setting a new Profile by selecting the Calibrate.... button.
