Green render bar for video

hello all...
i believe i have all my sequence settings correct..but everytime i drop a clip into the timeline i get the video:preview (green render bar)...why do i get this???
all the video footage is on a g-raid 1000 gig (all filled up)..is that the problem...?

i believe i have all my sequence settings correct..but everytime i drop a clip into the timeline i get the video:preview (green render bar)...why do i get this???< </div>
The sequence settings might be correct for what you want to do but your clip settings are not matched to your sequence setting. Precisely. If they were, you would not get a green render bar. There would be NO render bar until you started adding effects.

  • Riddle me this-. Orange Render bar for some clips

I hope my system isn't getting tired and old but I have never had a project where all the clips needs to be rendered. No effects applied or anything. I converted these clips to Apple Pro Res(LT) and I still need to render. When I convert my RED footage, it works fine. But not the MVI files. See picture on this link. The files have same codec, one needs to render but the other doesn't!
    http://www.redmoonlight.com/PictsOnWeb/OrangeRender.png
Thanks for you time or any solution you can give.
Things I did: Trash prefs, restart, video scope closed

    The orange render bar-
"Indicates effects that exceed your computer’s real-time playback capabilities but are enabled anyway because Unlimited RT is selected in the RT pop-up menu in the Timeline. Unlimited real-time playback lets you play more effects but increases the chances that your sequence will drop frames during playback. This mode is useful for getting a real-time preview of complex effects compositions." - form the manual.
I interpet that it mean it will playback withourt requiring rendering until you apply an effect.
One of your clips is set to "maximum" quality with a higher bitirate than the one set to "Normal" quality. Not sure if that is causeing it.

  • No green address bar for EV certificate websites?

''locking as a duplicate of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1014226''
hello everyone, i am curious as to why my address bar does not show a green padlock for certain sites anymore. For example with paypal, i used to see a green padlock, but now it is only grey. I tested it with IE and it turns green there, but not in firefox. is there a setting i have turned off? or something i have missed
    thank you all

Even though HISTORY is enabled in the Settings, not even the History "window" does show anything I have surfed a minute or a day ago.
Probably just a bug no one cares to iron out. Apple at its finest. Is there a "We are ****** at Apple" website out there I could join?

I can't really answer you first question. What has happened is: when I moved an mpg file from my assets to the movie (I have added already a mpg file in the first part of the movie) a message box appears telling me the file is being "indexed" and then this Indexing progress appears in lower right of screen and it processes up to 99% and then freezes. The file appears in the time line, but the frame appears that says "media pending" and then nothing happens. I can go into the Widows media player and the mpg file plays okay, with audio. That is best I can tell you.
Though I did not say this earlier, when I try to open this mpg file from the Organizer, Premiere does not open.
My operating system is Windows 7 on a Dell computer with lots of ram and plenty of space on my hard drive.
    Properties of movie file
These properties are the same as a file I already inserted in the timeline.
I look forward to your help and thanks..

  • I have no render bar?

    Hey everyone!
So I'm having quite a bad problem with Premiere Pro CS5. Sometimes when I preview the video for a project in progress, it lags a fair bit. I usually fix this by rendering the work area. But for this particular project, it won't do anything. When I tell it to render work area, it just plays the video. Also, I don't have a red, yellow or green render bar. It's just gray, as if it isn't there. What could be causing this? Can anyone help me? :c
    Thanks for reading my post!

I fixed it. The problem was the frames per second in the source video. For some reason, there would be no render bar for videos with 30 frames per second. I converted the videos to 25 frames per second and the render bar came back. Changing the sequence settings to 25 frames per second also fixed the problem. Thanks for the help anyway!

  • Render bar | yellow | red | green

If i put a new clip to my sequence it shows me a yellow render bar which actually means, i should regive it without bucking or any problems. But even if i put effects on that clip, or an adjusment layer, the render bar wont get red. And if i render the yellow one, with the full effects on the clip, its not able to play it without bucking. So first i wont get any red render bars, secondly even the yellow is not playing without bucking

Can you share your computer system specs, Premiere version, footage source format? Do you have GPU acceleration enabled? There are many factors affecting playback smoothness. Does the sequence preset match the footage? Mismatched frame rates are problematic for instance.

  • Hi sir im using fcp 7 for video editing in i mac, how can i edit mts files in fcp 7 without log n transfer, is their solution for fcp 7?

Hi sir im using fcp 7 for video editing in i mac, how can i edit mts files in fcp 7 without log n transfer, is their solution for fcp 7?

    >No, you are not right.
Going to question the biggest contributor to this forum?  (Yes, my ego is talking).  OK then...
    >Install the QT-Plugin, restart your Mac and you will be able to import and use .mts files in FCP 7.
Sure...yes, that makes it POSSIBLE to read the files natively in FCP...if they come from a Panasonic camera. BUT...just try working with those files.  Right away the system won't be nearly as responsive as it would if they were ProRes. First...there are no sequence settings for that format...so you'll have to use ProRes and have a green render bar.  BUT, that's no big deal.  The big deal is trying to work with the AVCHD format, which is VERY processor intensive...inside an application that doesn't like to work with much outside of the FCP editing codecs.
Is it possible? Sure? Will it work well...will you be as zippy and error free as if you converted to ProRes? Not by a long shot.  OH, but don't just take my word for it.  Go ahead...try it and see.  No skin off my nose...no waste of my time.  See how well this works.
I'm just here to relate real world working solutions to issues.  And yes, I did try that plugin, and boy, was editing a pain.

  • PP CS5 Wants to Render all my AVCHD (MTS Files) - RED RENDER BAR

    Help Please,
    I have a Panasonic AF100 and shooting in 1920 x 1080 25P (Australia)
When I create a new project with same settings (AVCHD, 1920 x 1080 25 Frames Per Second) and import footage (MTS Files) the entire sequence has a RED bar above each clip.  I expected the footage to have Green or Yellow bars unless I apply an effect or transition??
Having to render EVERY clip in my sequence is driving me mad, I have not even applied any effects and just to watch, I need to render every clip..
    I am using a Mac 27", 3.2 GHZ, Intel Core i3, 4GB Memory 1333 Mhz DDR3...
    Help please, anyone??

  • Render Que Output - Black Bars on Video (image)

When I render out my video for some reason there are black horizontal bars on the sides of the video output. I assume this has to do with some settings that I am unaware of.
Please click to enlarge image below to show render settings and final video output

I am still confused as to why 1920x1200 doesnt work, thats a full screen size resolution?
It may be fullscreen on your system, but it's not HD. 1920x1200 is a 16:10 computer desktop ratio which has no counterpart in the video world. That's all it comes down to: If you want to avoid such issues, your need to adhere to established production standards and that will be even more critical once you start working for clients that need to use this stuff for "real" TV or you need to excahnge projects with otehr people...

  • Green bar on video when exporting to PDF

    Hello,
I am building an interacative PDF in InDesign, and linking videos from URLs. I edited the video in PremierePro, and exported to H.264 format with "Apple TV, iPad, iPhone 3G and newer - 360p Widescreen 23.976" preset.
The video looks good on my desktop. I then Place From URL in InDesign and it looks good in InDesign SWF Preview window. However, when I export, there is a circular discoloration in the middle of the video and a thick green horizontal bar at the bottom of the screen.
Images are attached of my PremierePro export settings and green bar/discoloration. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this?
(Note: I tried embedding video directly, instead of link, and that does not solve it).
Thank you very much for any tips!
    Laura Takach

Hi Steve - The properties include:
    File Path: C:\Users\laura.takach\Desktop\00053.MTS
    Type: MPEG Movie
    File Size: 970.6 MB
    Image Size: 1440 x 1080
    Frame Rate: 29.97
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
    Total Duration: 00:18:37:00
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.3333
I haven't tried exporting in Media Encoder, since I'm assumed it would process it the same as Premiere Pro. Are there any settings you would recommend trying differently in Premiere Pro?
    Thanks,

  • "Blue-Grey" on video render bar..Why??

After I rendered my project I have noticed that there is a blue-grey color on my video render bar. If I put my cursor on the render bar it says that my video is rendered. Then why is it not just Grey?? When I play back my project the parts that have the blue-grey render bar are very unstable and digitized. Why is the project not rendering, and what does the blue-grey render bar mean??
any help or soulutions would be great

    1) Because gray means a video clip that does not require rendering
    2) Set RT for the Timeline to Safe, the Quality to High and the Frame Rate to Full. Does it still play back unstable on an NTSC video monitor?

  • Producing a Video - Best Render Settings for After Effects & Premiere Pro?

    Hi Guys,
I just want to make sure I am producing my video the right way .... it takes an awfully long time and I have to use 2 programs....
First I have a 1080p HD Camcorder - so when I shoot my videos I want to ensure they are 1080p.
So I do my editing in After Effects and produce the video as an AVI file - and usually a 5 min clip outputs as 70GB (Full Quality Settings)
I then take this video and import it into Premiere Pro and produce it as WMV file (Full Quality) and then the final output is 200MB and the quality is not lost - so I am happy.
So my question is am I doing it the best way?
I tried to produce it as a WMV straight from After Effects but I am not sure what settings to pick that will keep the quality and not make the filesize huge - so I am forced to use 2 programs.
So if there is an easier way let me know ... bc it sucks using 2 programs to render out the video.
And also is that normal - 200mb for a 5 min clip or is that still too big?
Remember I want to keep things 1080p.
If you want to see a sample of my video that I am producing - you can watch my YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/socialmindz
    Thanks for your help.

    I agree with Rick.

  • Green screen for videos and movies

i upgraded all the software for itunes and quicktime. using another post for 'green screen for video previews', i modified some settings in quicktime and one of them now has strips of static across the green. quite frustrating...

I could be off the mark, but you may need to install the version of iTunes here: iTunes for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards).
And then repair/reinstall QuickTime 7.7.6 for Windows.
If that works for you then the next time Apple Software Update or iTunes tells you there is a new version revisit the first link. It should be updated with a new "for older video cards" version that will work with QuickTime.

Are you using a MacBook Pro model with dual display cards? (I.e., check your profiller.) If so, Snow Leopard and Lion users have indicated that switching from "Battery Saver" to "Performace" mode in the System Preferences "Energy Saver" window fixed this problem. Not sure if this also works for Leopard systems but it might be worth looking at.

  • Hard Disk Setup for Video Editing

    Dear Forum.
My name is Tom Woods and I was hoping that you may be able to advise me or point me in the right direction, in regards to the question below....
: ) Im not sure if you are in this area or not, my apologies to you if this is the case.. Here goes..
I'm thinking of getting Adobe Production Premium installed where ill be using Photoshop, After Effects, and Premier Pro, and need some advice on my current Disk Setup to maximize performance to work with editing HD 1080i video.
    My question is;
    "Which of my internal 'Disks', do I assign the following processes to, these processes are;
    Photoshop: SCRATCH DISK
    After Effects: DISK CACHE
Premier Pro: SCRATCH DISK Captured Video  / SCRATCH DISK Captured Audio  / SCRATCH DISK Video Previews  / SCRATCH DISK  Audio Previews
Premier Pro: MEDIA CACHE FILES / DATABASE
And finally the recorded Video 'parts' ready for editing, and the 'previews', and then the 'saved project file'.
    My current Disk setup is:
    C: SSD - 90GB (quite full)
D: SSD - still considering size to purchase
E: SSD - still considering size to purchase
F: HDD - 500 GB (currently used for all Video Parts and all work)
*Also, for drives D & E, what 'SIZE' in GB would they need to be for assigning the Scratch, Cache and other files mentioned above? (when i purchase them)*
If you can help me out with this it would be totally amazing, im really stuck and finding internet advice very unclear..
I appreciate you will be busy but I thought I would try here first for some help! Thank you so much for reading this so far...
    My Best regards to you
    Timmy

    Tom,
Let's start with the terminology. Once you understand that, things will become a lot easier.
MEDIA: Name for all the raw material you shot, whether video or pictures or audio recordings. It does not matter whether this was captured from tape based video cameras, or imported from card or disk based cameras.
MEDIA CACHE: When Media are imported into a project, PR automatically creates three kind of files that are stored in the location you set up in the Preferences. They are .IMS files or indexed files, .CFA or conformed audio files and last .PEK files, that display the audio waveform in the timeline.
MEDIA CACHE DATABASE: Also automatically created by PR and contains pointers to the files in the Media Cache.
Note that occasionally the Media Cache and Media Cache Database can become corrupted and in that case it is a good idea to Clean the Media Cache from Preferences. When opening a project indexing, conforming and generation of PEK files is automatically done. Just be a bit patient for that process to finish.
PREVIEWS: Also called RENDER files. When you render a timeline to turn the red bar into a green bar for preview purposes, PR stores .XMP files in the PRV directory location you have set in the Project Settings.
Media files are typically very large and require a good sustained sequential read speed. Once ingested (imported or captured) they remain unchanged, because PR is a non-destructive editor. On the one hand this makes a SSD an ideal type of disk, because it is only reading the media files and not writing, but the size may be the limiting factor.
Media cache files are typically small and many, so here sustained R/W transfer rates are important, making it less than ideal to put them on a SSD, because the major drawback of SSD's is their limited and finite number of writes.
Now Tom, to your specific situation:
C: SSD for OS & programs.
D: HDD for media and projects (because of the size of the media and frequent changes in projects).
E: SSD for static page-file and exports.
F: SSD for media cache and previews, although a HDD may give you better life expectancy but also slower performance.
Maybe this article can be helpful as well, because it shows the impact of codecs on your system: Adobe Forums: What PC to build? An update...
You may have to get additional HDD's for raid configuations, if you edit 4K material or 422 material, because it is all about transfer rates.
To give you a rough indications of what you can expect from your drives, I suggest you get HD Tune Pro to test for yourself, but here are some indicative figures:
SSD: R around 450 MB/s, W around 300 MB/s, depending on the brand/model in steady state with SATA 6G. SATA 3G is far slower. Sandforce controllers may top out around 250 MB/s W.
    HDD: R around 150 MB/s, W around 140 MB/s
