Green screen effect?

is there a way in lightroom to like erase the background. like selecting a certain color and replace it with another image? like a green screen effect? im asking for lightroom because the computers in the studio where i work uses that only from adobe

Lightroom does not support this type of image editing or anything remotely close to it, and I very much doubt that it ever will. I suggest that you have a look at Photoshop, which is also an Adobe product, and is capable of doing what you describe.

  • Where is the green screen effect in Elements 13 on a Mac

In the help manual they list different key options, such as blue and green screens.  can not find them under keying for the Mac

There is no Green Screen, Blue Screen, or Chromakey in Premiere Elements Mac (in any version that I know of).
You should have Videomerge which some suggest for this type of effect. I do not.
Please look at the Difference Matte under fx Effects/Keying/

  • Is there a way to apply all adjustments to a clip when using green screen effects?

I use imovie '11 and I shoot a lot of videos using a green screen. Once I import my videos into imovie, I then place a background image into the project and then I drag the video clip over the background and select green screen. I usually then have to crop the clip so I am centered within the frame, and I also have to adjust the colors manually since sometimes with a greenscreen the colors can be a bit off.
My problem is this, how can I apply all video adjustments that I made to one clip, to all the other clips without having to do each one manually?
Currently when I crop a clip and edit the colors, then I copy it and go to paste adjustments, 'video' and 'video effect' are grayed out, however, it lets me do all the others. Does imovie not let you paste video effects to other clips that are in green screen mode? I tested it with two regular clips that are not in green screen mode and it works fine.

As always there's a trick using copy and paste.
Once you got all the adjust correct on the first clip. Go to Edit > Copy. It's as though you were going to paste it back into the project, only now the trick is to highlight all the clips that also will need these same adjustmust (hold down the Command key, and just click on each one). Then go Edit > Paste Adjustments...>All. That wil apply each of the adjustments to the whole batch of video clips you had highlighted in the previous step.

  • How to keep green screen effect in one place while moving camera?

Hello all. I have been trying to use a green screen while moving the camera in Final Cut Pro X however I am running into a problem. Basically when I move the Camera all of the effects on the green screen move with a camera. Is there a way to make them stay in one place as the camera moves from side to side? The following video shows what I am talking about more clearly.

you track, e.g. the corner of your monitor; then apply the motion-path to the second source; apply keying (color, luma, whatever) - done.
in my 2nd example, I had to track the shaky hand-camera, the second track is no green-screen, but a manual masked freeze .. but basicly ...
Okay thank you! I think im just going to buy Motion 5 then

  • Green Screen Effects

We use a software product that specializes in green screen (chroma-key) effects. However, we have no flexibility with the product and are forced to pay huge license costs.
We'd like to utilize the green screen components of these such software packages, but build our own GUI based on our business needs. Does anybody know of a toolset which provides the photo manipulating effects in an API? It doesn't have to be a java api, just something excessible from java.
I've played with JAI and successfully created this effect but in a very crude fashion. The quality simply isn't there and, from what I've read, it requires sophisticated algoritmn's to perfect. Any links, code, examples are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Jason

  • Blue object on green background for green screen effect?

Hi. I am inserting an image into my video and need the background to be invisible. I use the green screen/blue screen feature, but it doesn't work because the picture I am using is of a blue object. A blue object on a green background. The green background disappears but the blue object turns brown. Is there any way I can exclude my blue object from the green screen/blue screen effect? Thank you.

Trying to reenact your problem .... no luck, green screen works :
ok, my 'green screen' is a graphic, offering the perfect green-bg
can you apply a screen-shot of your green-screen recording in your next post?
maybe, your blue is too greenish… ?
Play with the color-correction tool (red arrows)… maybe you can fix it that way....

  • What is the smartest way to apply green screen effects in premiere elements for mac?

Videomerge looks messy and difference matte kills the foreground and difference video entirely, leaving only the background

What version of Premiere Elements are you using on your Mac computer?
Did you apply the Difference Matte write up that I posted? Many Premiere Elements Windows and Mac users have reported using the technique described for Green Screen.

I have not heard of any alternative for the Premiere Elements Mac user other than go Premiere Elements Windows.
Please review and let us know the outcome.
Just not to take anything for granted, I ask "Have you reviewed your green screen prep work?"
    Thank you.

  • Where can I find more backgrounds for a green screen effect?

I'm working on a project for my son's 5th grade class and recorded all of the kids in front of a green screen.  The backgrounds available in iMovie are pretty basic, anyone have a good suggestion on where to find more and how to add them?

You can use any suitable photo or video as a background, you don't have to use iMovie backgrounds which are intended mainly as backgrounds to titles.

  • IMovie on iPad3 - Green Screen Effect?

Hello!  My students stand in front of a green screen to record their movies.  Is there a way to use saved photos and backgrounds as our background?
I'm willing to purchase an additional app if I can find one to do this.
    Thanks!

I have used two external apps for green screen. Green screen movie fx and a green screen still photo app with some success both allow you to import backgrounds. I will drop the photo background into iMovie thus converting it to a movie then import that.  The programs are pretty basic so I run it through a program called movie looks to do the color correction  I also find green screen content on you tube and film it with my iPad on a 60 inch smart tv and my computer . This will save you if you want to do movie making on tHe cheap here is an example

  • IChat/Photo Booth "Green Screen" Effects not entirely working.

They kind of work, but it looks like I have lots of holes in me, and the background has some holes in it too.
    Anyone else having this problem?

My Photo Booth effects all suck big time. In well lit areas wearing colors with a different color background, no matter what effect I use, all look horrible. I've tried all white background with dark clothing and vice versa with 100% crappy results. No other apps running. I have a MacBook Pro 2.3GHz Core 2 Duo with 3 GB RAM. Everything else runs fantastic. Photo Booth *****. I've tried it with several friends over iChat Video and it's not viewable at all. Been thru a dozen different lighting scenarios and as many clothing changes, nothing seems to help.
Anyone have any other suggestions ?

  • Photo Booth Effects Fuzzy Like a Bad Green Screen

Just wondering about the background effects in Photo Booth & how they work.  I know you're supposed to step out of frame and then back in.  Ive tried this several times now in different rooms in my house and I never get a solid background.  It's always fuzzy/broken up kind of like a bad green screen effect.  So just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or that's just how it works.
    I am using Lion.

"Is there something wrong with my built-in iSight on my MacBook Pro? "
    Nope!
Use as plain a real background behind you as you can. The busier the background, the harder it is for your Mac to tell you from the background.
Have as much light behind you and in front of you as possible. I found that lighting is a huge key to making the effect work well. If possible use hologen lights. The brighter your room, the better BE works. Matter of fact, your BE picture will be perfect.
DO NOT wear the colors green and/or blue.
    Good luck & much fun!

  • No transition effect into or out of green screen

Why can't I get a transition into or out of a green screen effect.

    1) Create a new, separate project which contains only your green screen clip and its background clip
    2) SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME to Apple Intermediate Codec in original dimensions (for example)
    3) Import this AIC file into an iMovie Event
    4) Drag your rendered greenscreen clip into your original project and add transitions.

  • IMovie 11 green screen - audio of the video in foreground won't play

Elementary teacher. Groups of students are creating movies and adding green screen effects to videos. In more than one group, the audio begins fine, but as the group edits (over the course of a day or two), eventually the audio in the foreground video stops playing. I see the audio waves, but do not hear the audio. When skimming the clip in the event library, the audio is fine. When the clip is reinserted, the audio plays. Nothing is ducked, muted or turned down.
Why are we losing the audio?

Thanks for the suggestion Brad, that makes sense... However, I was hoping there was a "straight" iMovie solution.
I'd prefer to not have to 1) spend any money and 2) use a program to do something iMovie is already supposed to do.
