Green screen when using camera

Question

Twice now when attempting to use the camera all I get is a bright green screen instead of images. I've had to power cycle the phone and the camera starts operating OK. Has anyone had a similar issue? Thanks
Message was edited by: kvslab. I found the cause of the problem was the Amazon app. Whenever I was using their app, then went to camera I would get the green screen and have to reboot. I removed their app and problem is gone. The Amazon app does make use of the camera for scan purposes.

Properly applying the Combo version of updates can sometimes correct software problems, but, if your trouble is caused by a hardware problem, there are no user serviceable parts of the camera.  For hardware help, contact an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.
• If you still have trouble and want to try one more thing on your own before having your Mac serviced, uninstall all third-party apps that can use a camera.  Then reinstall ML OS X and test your cam one more time BEFORE adding back any non-Apple apps.  If the problem remains, see your AASP.
(Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD."  Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
