• FCPX Freezing/Green Screen Frame Issue

Hiya Guys! I've been working on trying to get this school project done by using FCPX (a.k.a. Final Cut Pro) and of course FCPX is acting up on me . I just imported 5 HD videos from my friend's camera and whenever I try to play them, they all don't play! They have either a black or green screen instead! They are all under 5 min. long, so I see no problem why they are freezing! Sometimes I might get lucky and hear some of the audio from the video, but the video never plays. I tried to re-render all the videos to see if that helped. But nope, still got that stupid black/green screen..... I've looked up tutorials saying that I have to re-render or balance the color of the video, but nothing worked! I guess this is where my specs come... ALSO, ALL MY VIDEOS ARE .MP4's!!!! Just in case any of you need to know.

• Green screen issues when playing videos in fb + youtube

at first i noticed a re-occurring problem when playing videos via facebook or youtube. A green screen randomly appeared now and then until i reset the laptop. I tried many things, including one suggestion to change quality option from 480p to 140p via settings option in youtube. It worked on some occasions, was able to view video as the green screen disappeared. Of course, as expected, image quality suffered. I contacted Lenovo to inform them of issues I was having with viewing videos, they advised it was a problem with the adobe software and that I should check to see if I have an updated version installed on my laptop. (currently running O/S windows 8.1 and IE 11), I downloaded chrome, fortunately, I am able to view videos in youtube properly even though they appear as a green screen in IE 11. Not so lucky with facebook however, green screens in IE when playing Facebook video uploads appear as black screens in chrome. I reset the laptop and everything appears to be running fine. Is this an adobe software issue? Lenovo seems to think so, Seeing as how others experience the same issue regardless of the make and model of laptop, they may be right.

• Why do I get a green screen on all of my videos in Mozilla (YouTube, Facebook, etc.)

I have read the forums regarding this issue on Internet Explorer, but I do not know how to fix the issue on Firefox, which is my preferred browser. All videos have audio but there is no video, just a green screen. :-( Also, is there a different fix for IE other than disabling hardware acceleration? The videos are so blurry with that fix. Thanks for the help!

I currently have gotten my new PC and I watched to watch some videos online.
Some sites like youtube I seem to have no issues, but with others. The video will work till random points and then suddenly it will start to go green screen. The audio will become jumbled as if it were skipping through the reset of the video.
I have tried all types of solutions I have looked up and even tried some of the troubleshooting on the adobe flask troubleshooting list.
yet I am still unable to figure out this issue.

I am running currently Windows 7 64 Bit as well.
Everythings up to date and is working fine so I just can't figure this out.

• [solved] Flash Player 11.5.502.135 green screen on Youtube

-------Edit-------
I think I have managed to solve the problem - atleast for now....!
What I did was; re-downloaded the flash Player and install it and made a re-boot of the system
This did, however, not solve the problem at first (ie. I still got the green screen), but I watched another video on another site everything worked like it was supposed to. I have tried to watch a video on YouTube and so far they seem to display without the green screen.
------End-Of-Edit----------
Hi
Operating system version
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit -
Web browser and version
Internet Explorer 9

A brief explanation of the problem
I recently got my Flashplayer updated to the 11.5.502.135 and now I seem to get a green screen every time I try to watch a video on YouTube
1. What could cause this problem ?

• Mac Users: How can I watch YouTube again on Firefox, when for months all I get is a black screen and no controls?

Beyond frustrated here. I can watch YouTube on Safari (I have a MacBook Pro laptop, OS 10.6.8), but I use Firefox, for everything else, so really need YouTube access on Firefox. I have googled the problem a zillion times and find solutions that do not work.
Today in several places, including here at Firefox, the instruction is to uncheck the "Enable Hardware Acceleration" box which is found when you right-click (two-finger click on my trackpad) on the black YouTube screen. Then click on Settings, which brings up a display box. In the display box I'm supposed to be able to uncheck the hardware acceleration. And I see it there in front of me.
But it's dead to my trackpad! The Enable Hardware Acceleration will not uncheck when I click on its tiny box. It's supposed to be active, but nothing I do in that display box works--even the close button. I've refreshed the page, tried clicking the icons on it, nothing works.
Can you imagine no YouTube for months? It's driving me crazy. PLEASE help, I will be so grateful!
Thanks~~

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

• LG Smart TV Skype green screen issue

I have a problem with skype running on LG 47LW980S and AN-VC300 webcam, it seems that sometimes (usually for the second video call) the person that I call receives green screen instead of my video. If I turn off and on again the TV then it will work again for the first call at least.
Where is the issues, on my TV or on the latest PC skype version?
When can I expect a skype update for the smartTV?
Please advise.

Its is the issue with your internet speed. I normally have this problem when the internet is slow. Also the computer you are callling from your tv needs the latest version of skype.
I have been using Skyoe on LG for a year now with no issues.

• Firefox version 22 screen tearing issue with video

So I've updated to Firefox 22 and have recently started noticing this really annoying screen tearing issue when scrolling. its only when i use Firefox sometimes it happens when I'm watching videos sometimes it just happens on normal every day pages. I've tried to duplicate this issue in other browsers (Chrome) and it just only seems to happen with Firefox. anyone else experienced this and knows how to stop it? kinda annoying

Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
* You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
Thank you.

• Green Screen Issue

I just purchased Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and I have shot some footage using a green screen. I finally was able to import my green footage and a background that I want to use, but I am not able to make the person solid. He looks ghostly. I've been trying to follow the instructions in:http://adobe.ly/Aa9uYo
but with no luck. I am not able to find these eye droppers that are discussed in this video or this Ultra Key that's was discussed in CS5. Help!

I am now trying to use Premiere Pro to burn a DVD of James for our next Video Club Meeting which is also a contest; although, I am not so much interested in the contest but I would like to show my work on DVD. I have been googling “how to burn a DVD on both YouTube and the net, I get close but it’s not working. I even tried from Encore but it’s not working. What easy to burn this from DVD, I realize Premiere Pro is not like Adobe Premiere Elements 9 or 11 which easy to do because there’s a direct link to do so, this program doesn’t have a direct link.
I’ve been following these videos:

This last video was actually one of the videos I followed to create my settings, but still I am not able to burn a DVD. Is there an easier way. Thank you for any information you can provide.

• Can't install open office; youtube videos + green screen; using call HP Tech Support fails

Can't install open office; youtube videos are green screen (audio ok); using call HP Tech Support fails (no reason given)
1) Can't turn McAfee Livesafe off, and think it's what's keeping me from installing Open Office. It downloads but can't install.
2) At work on wireless guest, youtube looks fine. At home on ethernet through DISH satellite, it's green screen. This is not he case with my older HP laptop connected to the same ethernet cable.
3) Why is HP tech support rejecting me, after I type everything in? If I ca't use it, don't make it an option!!!! The forums were choice #2, so here I am ... make me proud ...
Thanks everyone!!!!

An alternative to OpenOffice would be KingsSoft Office, it performs better and still Free:
http://www.kingsoftstore.com/
McAfee products are problematic on some systems and suggest you uninstall it using their removal too then reboot:
http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS101331
Build in Windows Defender should reactivate after the reinstall. As an antivirus product it is adequate as long as you practice safe surfing habits.
Windows key + X, select Command Prompt (Admin) and type: sfc /scannow
Let me know if it does not fix all or any corrupt system files.
Reboot and now try your Youtube.
I do not have an answer to what transpired between you and HP Support but only to say you should come here first.
Please mark my post as SOLVED if it has resolved your problem. It helps others with similar situations.

• Firefox will not play videos. A green screen shows instead. Same sites work in IE. Problem just started this week. How can I fix this?

The sound works -- it's just that video is replaced by a solid green screen.

I found the problem, and I don't think it is with Firefox or Adobe. I have Radeon Graphics running on a Intel Core i7 computer and I was able to solve this problem by opening the Catalyst Control Center and clicking on one setting and applying.
Open your Catalyst Control Center (it may be an icon on your desktop, in the start menu, or accessed via right clicking the desktop and selecting "Graphics Properties") and click on the "power" icon. From there you select "Switchable Graphics", and there should be an area for "recent applications". If you do not see any recent applications, I would re-download the flash player, access a website that uses it, and then retry the above instructions. There should be a "button" to the right of the Flash Player Application and select it until it says "power saving" and select apply. I also tried using "high performance" as a setting and the green screen remained. I am using Catalyst Control Center version 2011.1205.2215.39827, and cannot say if the above instructions will work with any other version.

• Green Screen Keylight 1.2 issues

Hello. My first time messing around with Keylight 1.2 for Green Screen effects.
I have been messing around with it the past couple of days. I've wanted tutorials.
I even have a couple light sources for my video... but it seems no matter
what tutorial I do or even just messing with the settings. I can't seem to get it perfect.
What is circled in red is what I keep getting. If I fix that.. then I get other issues such as.
I've messed around with, Screen gain, Screen balance, Clip Black, Clip White,
Now I can kinda fix it, but run into another problem, once I do.

Hi,
What you have here, is the real worl dof colour keying!
It is very rare that you will have source footage that can be easily keyed in one or two clicks. There are many, many reasons why the footage can be so hard to key - ranging from lighting issues, to footage source type etc. What you would need to do now, is do multiple keyeing techniques and passes to get the best possible matte. There really is many different ways to go forward now, and it is going to be up to you, and your time available what you will choose.
The easiest would be (off the top of my head) to duplicate the layer, mask out different areas, (lets say his right elbow for one layer, and his left arm for the other) and key each piece seperately, with its own "Best" settings. sorry, keep a copy of the the orignal as the background layer, and key it out as well. Then by setting the layers inthe right order and feathering here and there, you should be able to build up a very good matte.
As I said, this is only one possible way, you might then want to use your built matte as a track-matte. You might like to try and use Aharon Rabinowitz' techniques to get a nice tight matte to work on - http://library.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/junk_mattes.php
Search for more tutorials as well - if you have the time and money, get some books - http://www.betterworldbooks.com/green-screen-made-easy-id-EB2370003378283.aspx

I recently took my 27 in I Mac to Peach Mac for service for a flashing green screen. It comes up when I log in. They said it was not a hardware issue but a software issue and want to charge me 99.00 to re-install it. WiIll mac come out with a patch for OS x for this? Is this worth it?

Having a similar issue with my MacBook Pro w/Retina 2012.
I did the reinstall my self and incrementally did the updates by downloading them from Apple's website instead of using the App Store.
I found that the problem occured after updating to OS X 10.9.3.
The issue is in a 4k resolution update for mirroring displays. Not that you should be doing that from an iMac but your packaged update may have been similar even though the update was meant for 2013 MacBook Pro's.
You can try reseting the Nvram chip during boot up by pressing "Option + P + R" keys. You may have to do this after entering your password to log in if you have that set up on your computer. However this only works on certain models of Mac hardware and may not do anything at all.
After you get your second opinion from Apple, if they again confirm it's a software issue, then you should reinstall OS X Mavericks and download updates from the website instead of the app store. This way you control your updates. You will find the OS X 10.9.2 update as well as a seperate security update prior to the released update of the dreaded OS X 10.9.3
Again if you don't want the issue to occur again, then hold off on updating to OS X 10.9.3, but be cautioned that you do so at the risk of leaving your computer less secured even though it will seem to run better.
