Grey Cells are not functional?
Hi, I just started using iWork (about 4 days ago) and I am really liking the performance and layout of Numbers '09 over Excel. Since I'm new though, there are some doubts I have about using the software.
I have a table with a horizontal header column on top (with a grey fill and bold text) and a vertical header column (with a grey fill and bold text) on the far left. I am able to make XY-Scatter plots with trendlines (like in Excel) with data sets from the non-header cells (with a white fill and non-bold text), but now I need to make an XY-Scatter plot using the vertical header data set and one of the other vertical data sets. Numbers isn't letting me do this. When I select the first data set (the header), then CMD+select the second (the non-header), only the second data set is laid out on the XY-Scatter plot. Is there a way to disable the "header" feature and make the gray cells function just like normal cells?
And I tried removing the fill and bold effects. Numbers still thinks that the header is "special" and can't be used for the plot.

The battery will not charge. Laptop just runs on AC power and battery is in but will not charge. What happens that causes cells in battery to not work? I did leave it off a few months. Would take make the battery go bad?

All Cells are Not getting Background Color in WAD
Hello All,
I have a query with 29 Columns and Nearly 1000 Rows.
This query is being displayed through WAD.
I have used com.sap.ip.bi.rig.Format to color different columns : e.g.
1st - 8th column -> Color Green
9th - 10th -> Color Red etc.
Also, in the Analysis Web Item properties, the values are:
BLOCK_COLUMN_SIZE = 50
BLOCK_COLUMNS_STEP_SIZE = 1
BLOCK_ROWS_SIZE = 1000
BLOCK_ROWS_STEP_SIZE = 0
My Issue: For all columns , a few of the Cells are not getting colured. They are absolutely random.
When I reduce the data volume (restrict to some region), all the columns are properly colured.
Please Help to fix the issue.

The u, j, m and 7 keys on the keyboard are not functioning properly on my macbook air. In its place are a random assortment of keys (Ex - u = "eqrw" or "IOUY"). This randomly happened when logging back in after sleep mode. No liquid damage at all. Please help!
OK, I fixed the problem by doing a SMC (System Management Controller) reset as follows:
1. Powered off my MacBook and removed everything connected except for the power chord.
2. When powered off, I held "Shift" + "ctrl" + "Option" + "Power button" for 5 seconds or so until the little light on the front started to blink rapidly.
3. Powered up my Mac, which took a little longer than usual to start and tested the "missing" keys which now works perfectly again.
Just added another couple of years usage with my aging mac :-) -

I have just purchased a new apple cordless keyboard. The numeric line of keys along the top are not functioning as they should. For example I am unable to get a question mark or a forward slash. I have tried holding down both shift and alt keys.
Thanks for prompt response - I tried what you suggested but I'm afraid it has not helped. It seems as though the line of number keys along the top aren't actually doing what is printed on them. Some are OK, but the further towards the right hand side of the keyboard you go, the less predicatable it becomes. So whilst the second key from the left gives me 1 and ! when holding the shift key, by the time I get to the 6 when I press and hold shift I get ^ rather than & symbol which is what is actually printed on the key. The & symbol is actually on the next key along - and when I hit the key with 8 I get * rather than the ( which is printed on they key but actually located on the next key along. Things get even more muddled by the time I am over on the right hand side as rather than a question mark (I have had to type the word as I cannot find the symbol anywhere!) I get this _ and the other symbol marked on the key is a comma, but I get - instead. It is going to drive me mad if every time I want to type something it is a guessing game....! What do you suggest - question mark

Do you have the correct Easy Setup selected for FCP and your camera?
Is a known working FireWire cable connected between your computer and camera?
Can you put the camera into play, forward or rewind using the FCP interface?
Have you used this camera to capture material before with success?
Are the timecodes in your Batch list correct - no typing errors, or conflicting timecodes?
Is the tape rewound to the beginning and at a position where it can establish a timecode
to begin capturing from?

Yes, but that's not very useful when you want to identify which clip it is. It would be simpler to toggle to a larger track height ( click the largest of the 4 boxes at bottom left of your timeline window ) this makes the waveform easier to see and analyze anyway. -
Hi I'm new to Mac. I have a macbook air and for some reason the top keys, ec, f1 etc etc are not functioning and emitt the non function noise when pressed. Also the volume keys don't adjust the volume. Have I done something to disable them?
I don't have the same version of OS X here but try System Preferences>Keyboard. Is there an option similar to "Use the F1, etc, keys as standard function keys"?
If so, and it has a checkmark, uncheck it & see if that does the trick.

Hyperlinks Are Not Functioning Correctly
I have a problem with the some of the hyperlinks in my
WebHelp Pro project not functioning correctly once the project is
compiled. What happens is that when I click on a hyperlink the text
doesn't change from blue to purple. Not all the hyperlinks on a
page are affected; some may work while others do not.
When I look at the HTML code, I see two different things
happening, and both things may not occur in the same code:
1) In some documents the code reads "a visited=0000ff." The
value should be 800080.
2) In other documents "font color=blue" is being added to the
HTML code for a particular hyperlink. Other hyperlink code in the
same document may be unaffected.
I have checked the font color in the editor to make sure it
was set to "automatic" before I created the hyperlink. I removed
the hyperlinks altogether, recompiled, then opened the document
back up and recreated the hyperlinks. The problem still exists.
Every document in my project is using the default.css style sheet.
I use the same paragraph style throughout the project, both on the
links that work correctly and those that do not.
Has anyone ever experienced this problem? And if so, do you
know the fix? I could manually edit the HTML code before publishing
my project, but that is just a bandaid fix.The hyperlink color is controlled by the style sheet. I edit
my style sheets in a text editor. Make sure you clear your browser
history before testing the color changes.
FWIW, I like my links to stay blue--I usually have the color
change to purple in hover just to indicate that what is moused is
indeed a viable link. -
My headphone are not functioning correct
Ok, recently i just found this forum and im glad to post my problem here. I am using SB Li've! 4., everything is working fine except my headphones. It's like only my Right side is working and my left side is not working when i plugged the plug into the GREEN output. I am using it for gaming and since only right side is working it really affect my game play and i have been changing from Surround speakers to Stereo Headphones but still only RIGHT side is working and left side is not working at all, i tried with my ear piece yet, only my right side is working and left side is not working. But if i pushed a little hard on my HEADPHONE's plug sometimes both side is working fine and if i let go of my finger it becomes right side working and left side not working. So what is the problem? My headphone and ear piece are new, yet both got same problems. Please help me.
Silver279I did use on other devices, the only one i used on is my computer. Is it something wrong with my soundcard, settings or what? I had the latest drivers, and some upgrading softwares on it and also i changed every settings I could see on the Sound settings and tested with different outputs and they are not even working at all. The only solution is sometimes i pressed very hard on the plug it only work awhile but then no more if i let go of it. I bought a new headphone a few hours ago and its the same still, and I go to Sound settings and change from Surround speakers to Stereo Headphones and then to Surround speakers and to Stereo Headphones again and again like 20-30 times repeatly and it worked fine. But after i rebooted my PC it became the same, One side can be heard and the other side is not functioning at all, I might need to switch repeatly again in Settings to make it work again.. so.. its really annoying and after sometime my headphone maybe will get affected by mass-mass-switching.. please help me thanks !

Ipad2 built in speakers are not functioning ?
My built in speakers are not working for applications, However, I still can get the sounds thru the headphones..
Knowing that in sounds settings I still can hear the ringtones thru the speakers ??!!!
Is there any procedures to fix the built in speakers ?Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound. Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon; press home again to exit the taskbar. Recently my system got update from MS now its running on Windows 8.1. After updating my games are not working properly
the games were running at very low FPS even key event and mouse event are lately taken. Even i updated drivers still its not working.
In windows 8 all games were running very smoothly. Only after updating i am seeing this issue.VRA
PC configurations :
1) OS : Windows 8.1
2) RAM : 4gb
3) Processor : core i3
4) VRAM : 2gb
5)VCARD : AMD radeom

sits such as facebook, yahoo, and sports illustrated do not function correctly on firefox but they do on my internet explorer. I believes its somehow set itself into the same format used for cellular devices... My JSU.edu page says somethin about it being in (portal mode). It is also a different format now that normal.

I would start with air on the keys as sometimes debris can cause this issue.
Here is a link to uninstall the keyboard. In the device manager have you uninstall all that is listed in keyboards, restart the computer after uninstalling, it should reinstall automatically and resolve any issues with the keyboard.

Here is a fix from Microsoft that might help.
