Grey out of MDM managed fields in R/3 4.7 (Interface between R/3 & SRM)

Hi All,
We have requirement for Creation/extension/changing of MMR (MM01/MM02/MM12).
Current Process:
Creation of MMR for certain material types carried out by MDM team from SRM side.In this case these materials replicated from SRM-MDM to R/3 4.7.
In such case core users from R/3 side can able to change MM fields relevent to MDM managed to fields.So that we want to restrict these fields (Replicated from MDM).to further change
The changes to MMR is only from the MDM side.Not from R/3 side
we dicided to make these fields grey out(Not Editble).through ABAP Development
case1:
If we go through standard configuration of field stutus as a grey out from Field selection/Field Reference.based on materials types/Transaction.then we will face problem while replicating master data from MDM to R/3 .this means that
If we r creating/changing materials from MDM side.and replicated to R/3 side.
Because in R/3 side if i make these fields as grey out .It won't take input values while replicating data from MDM to R/3.so i could end up with idoc error.
Finally the above process is excluded
case2:
If want to go through ABAP development,plz guide on this
If any one face this kind of requirement.Plz guide me

Grey out the purchase group fields in SRM 7.0 ?

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where in we need to grey out the purchasing group field in the item section of shopping cart screen . we are using SRM 7.0 portal. So that users cannot change the defualt pruchasing group.
Is there a way where we can make this invisible without making any changes to the standard code.
We have checked the below path, we are not getting the correct field for purchasing group in that.
SRM -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic settings -> Extension and Field Control (Personalization) -> Control Actions -> Display Standard Metadata for Actions on Substructure Level Regards
Any Help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Signature greyed out in desktop manager.

We use a BES server and are finding that when users use the desktop software the ability to change the signature is greyed out.Would it be due to either of these policy settings -
Desktop addins is set to false.
Application loader and weblink is set to false.
If its neither of these, any idea what would cause it to be greyed out ?

Hi There!
Well, my first thought is why use the DM software at all under BES? All of the configuration items are available on the device directly and, I think, can also be set via BES policy. I am on BES and never use the desktop client at all -- unless I am contemplating an OS update and want to ensure I have a good backup beforehand. But, to manage my BES conduit, I never use the desktop software.
So, in answer to your question...are those same options greyed out in the device interface? If so, then perhaps it is indeed a policy issue...we'll have to let our BES experts chime in on that one...

Extensions tab greyed out, yet extension manager indicates the extensions are enabled

Recently downloaded trial version of photoshop cc (wanted my extensions to work before I purchased subscription), I also downloaded extension manager cc.
I installed a particular extension called Kubota Action Dashboard, it is enabled in the extension manager.
For some reason though when I open photoshop cc the extensions tab is greyed out and cannot be clicked on.
Any idea why this is the case? Why is the extension recognised in extension manager but not photoshop itself?

To answer my own question, it appears to be an issue with the maker of the extension and not with the adobe products.
Just found this. It's probably the same with other extensions too, the developers just have to catch up.

Grey out of component screen fields in sub contracting PO.

When i am creating subcontracting Purchase order , In this i want restrict the users to add or modify the components screen fields. what i need exactly is i want to gray out the fields of these component screen .
Is it Possiable? Or required any user exit?

Please fallow the below steps
1. Goto me21n screen and note down program? and screen? using F1
2. Use tcode SHDO, Enter transaction code as "mE21N" goto screen variant tab and enter some name in screen variant field
3. also enter program name and screen name then click create icon
4. It will take you to the mm01 screen Enter reqd defauls value press Enter
5. then it will take you to another window there you can hide required field & save
6. come to the SHDO screen and select Transaction tab & enter some name
7. enter you already created screen variant name & save
8. table Standard variant tab and it might alredy taken Transaction variant which was created already
9. now you can check ME21N

Greying out of Material Quantity field in sales order

Hi,
At the time of sales order creation the system proposes the free quantity in the sub line item according to the Free goods determination records (VBN1). The requirement is to make the sub line item quantity field grey, so that the system determined free goods qty should not be changed at the time of order creation (VA01).
Is there any standard settings available or need to use the user exits.

J1iex-duty fields are greyed out

Dear all,
while doing j1iex, all the excise duty fields are greyed out? The quantity field is also in grey in colour. What might be the reason? Please suggest.

My question is i havent even captured the excise invoice. I did MIGO with only part I. Then came to J1IEX and tried capturing excise invoice. There i find all the duty fields are greyed out. It might be due to some note number. Please suggest.

Grey Out Language Field

Dear All,
Is there a way to grey out (disable) the language field in SAPGUI?
I don't want users to choose there language. I want them to connect whith the language I have set by default for them.

I am looking for a possibility to change exactly this language of the SAP-Gui. We are using the NetWeaver SAPSetup Deployment Tool. Do you have a hint how to set this language?

TRIP END DATE greyed out while creating Travel Request IN SAP ESS Portal

                           I am trying to create a Travel Request from my ESS Portal,when I am entering the trip details as follows:
General Trip Data (header)
Start: *    (Have to enter trip date)
End:        (greyed out)   **** problem with this field
First Destination: Country/Region:     open field
Reason for Trip:    open field
Activity:     open field
Estimated Cost:
Previous Step Review     Exit (these are all tabs)
The problem is that the END DATE is greyed out ,how do we enable it,is it a configuration setting or some code change in the function module

HR Abap - How to grey out infotype 416 'Start' date on screen 2

Hi,
For infotype 416 I want to force the user to enter the Start date on the initial PA30 screen. Therefore I have to grey out the 'Start' Date field that appears in the second screen '2000' when creating a record.
Any ideas on how to do this?

In order to add additional functionality and checks to the PBo & PAI of HR infotypes you need to
implement enhancement 'PBAS0001' using CMOD . Once you
have done this you need to go to the function modules EXIT_SAPFP50M_001 & EXIT_SAPFP50M_002
and create the includes within them i.e. ZXPADU01 and ZXPADU02. You can now enhance the
functionality of HR infotype PBO and PAI by simply adding code to these includes. See
example below:
HR Infotype User exits
Include ZXPADU01 for the PBO module
Incldue ZXPADU02 for the PAI module
*Example code.
CASE innnn-infty. "Infotype?
WHEN '0001'. "infotype 0001
Processing code
WHEN '0008'. "infotype 0008
Processing code.
etc.
WHEN OTHERS.
ENDCASE.

Photoshop performing strangely (menu options greyed out and Save As not working)

Just recently routine tasks have become not so routine.
When I use File/Open everything is greyed out because the Enable field is blank. I can't find any place to set this field permanently to All Readable Documents.
Secondly, when I use Save As, Photoshop wants to save my image in a .eps format unless I save it as JPEG Stereo.
PLEASE HELP!

Your on a mac using photoshop cs6?
The most common cause is having either moved/copied plugins from a previous photoshop version into photoshop cs6
or pointing the Additional Plug-Ins Folder under Plug-ins in the photoshop preferences to a previous version of photoshop.
If you did either of the above, then undo that (remove the copied plugins or uncheck the additional plugins folder)

SCCM 2012 updates on the console are grey out

I removed and reconfigure my SCCM 2012 sp1 software update point and now all of the update packages on sccm console grey out. How do I delete those grey out packages.

Ideally when managing Software Update through ConfigMgr it is not recommended to work from WSUS. ConfigMgr should control WSUS using the WCM component.
You need to run a sync on schedule from ConfigMgr:

If a full sync has already been completed by ConfigMgr then you will have to investigate from wsyncmgr.log,wcm.log & Wsusctrl.log to see if there has been a failure/error during this process.

Wifi greyed out -- help

Hi, I've had the BB for a couple of days, but I don't have a data plan yet, so I just configured it to access my home wifi network. It works, and I can browse the internet, etc., but the Wifi logo still appears greyed out, and under manage connections, there's a white dash to the right of the wifi connection instead of the green checkmark I guess should be there.
So yeah, everything's working, but I can't seem to have the black and white Wifi logo. Is this BECAUSE I don't have a data plan yet? Or could this be another problem, and is actually giving me a limited connection without me knowing?

I have the same problem after cancel my data plan, when turn on the wifi the internet only work about 2 minutes or less and the icon come grey again, after turn off and on the wifi again work for two more minutes.... Let me know when you fix this problem.

BADI/user exit for me22n - disable/grey out field quantity (MEPO1211-MENGE)

Dear all SAP gurus,
When changing PO (ME22N), I need to disable (grey out) the quantity field on item (MEPO1211-MENGE), when all scheduled quantity is already received (EKET-MENGE = EKET-WEMNG).
Have tried using LMEIGICJI and Handle_event method in CL_SCREEN_VIEW_MM. But still doesn't go to the screen that wants to be disabled.
Tried using BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST, but couldn't find how to disable the quantity field.
(IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST~FIELDSELECTION_ITEM only works for custom field).
Please kindly advise

No need of ABAP, follow this IMG Path.
Material Management -> Purchasing - Purchase Order -> Define Screen Layout at Document Level
After Executing it . Choose ME22 from list and then choose display icon.
than double click Quantity and Price here uncheck opt. Entry and check display.
save your work.

Exchange rate field greyed out when i use custom PO order type

Hi!
Upon creation of PO using SAP standard order type NB, the field exhange rate is editable. While when i used csutom PO order type, it is greyed out. How can we edit this? Where is the configuration of the exchange rate per order type?
If this is configured in IMG please include path, on how exchange rate is configured.

Here check the "Field Selection Key" against the PO doc type
(ex: Standard NB doc type the "Field Selection Key" would be "NBF")
Then go to
Spro>Materials Management>Purchasing>Purchase Order>Define Screen Layout at Document Level
Select the " Field Selection Key" of ur doc type..Just Double click on that
then check for field " Exchange rate "
against that field you can see three options, Reqd.entry Opt. entry Display...
Here tick the field "Opt. entry", So that You can get this field in Change mode in ME21N trx...
