Greyed-out file icon in Pages on iPhone 4

I somehow ended up with a greyed-out file icon (Pages) on my iPhone 4 after uploading it to the cloud from my Mac. It won't delete and is not recognized as even existing when I attempt to write over it. Any ideas how I might be able to delete it? It's showing a progress bar, but no "progress" is occuring. I've tried everything short of resetting my phone (turned phone off and back on, deleted Pages and reloaded it, turned iCloud off and back on, etc.

Problem went away on its own, I think after I moved some files from my desktop to the Trash and deleted them from my computer.

I have a iPhone 4 8GB. I have three greyed out safari icons that doesn't say safari but a web link. It's like a bookmark to your homepage but not in your homepage. I noticed it when I deleted all my web pages and on that one web page where it says "search or type in a address" right below it where it's just all white, there's three grey looking safari icons with each one with a different web site that's attached to it. When I tap on it it goes to a specific website. For ex one if them says www.longchamp.com, the other macys.com. There's no way to delete it. The wired thing is each one in color it like three shades of grey . Light, med and darker grey icons. When I hold down the icon you can move it around but can't delete, nothing just nothing. It's been there for the longest time I can remember. Do you know what this is? I took a pic of it. I don't know how to attach it to this discussion. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I seem to have fixed it by putting <div class="clearfloat"></div> after the navigation bar?

Why is the back arrow greyed out on the first page I visit after my home page?

No matter what page I visit after my home page, the back arrow is greyed out. The next page that I visit, it is now active and I can arrow back to the previous page, but the back arrow is then greyed out again, and I can't back arrow to my home page.

Keynote grey-out file on iPhone

I modified a Keynote file on my iPad, it then sync to my iPhone. But the sync on the iPhone did not finish and iy's now greyed-out. I can't open nor delete the file. Please advise what happened and what should I do now?

Greyed out songs only are displayed when iPhone is connected to iTunes? How do I fix?

I've googled everything available on the internet to fix this problem, nothing works. Deleted itunes library files, deleted itunes_control folder on iphone using iExplorer, tried manually removing greyed out songs... but they come back everytime. It's only songs that iv'e downloaded for free from itunes. I have not one single song in my itunes library and nothing in the cloud either. 15 songs are hidden, but apparently they always like to show up on my iphone as greyed out, only when connected to itunes. Nothing i displayed on my phone it's while using it. Very frustrated. Pls Help.

Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

Greyed-out Files in the Open File Dialog Box

I recently installed Logic Express 8 and then attempted to open a Garageband project. I used 'File Open' from the menu. When I click on my Garageband folder the dialog box shows all the .band files as greyed-out. This is also happening with older version of Logic Express such as the Tutorial song file.
Anyone with a idea or seen this before?

It seems to be a rather glaring bug in LE8 that will hopefully be fixed in the next update. In the meantime you can open LE8 files by going to File/Open Recent after launching. From there, other files can be opened by clicking on the Media button on the top right and then the Browser tab. Find your file & double click to open it. Also, you can just double-click a file on your desktop to launch Logic.
GarageBand files can be opened by right-clicking and selecting "open with LE8."

How can I remove greyed out copies of purchased songs on iPhone

I have tried everything to try to remove these from my phone and I can't seem to get them to go away. Only certain songs do this. They don't show up in the music on my phone, they just seem to take up space and really bother me, and I would really like to know how to get rid of them. Thanks.

I just bought the new Kid Cudi album and it shows up like this now in my iPhone on iTunes. The extra greyed out copy doesn't go on my phone, it just takes up space on my phone and gets in the way on the computer. I really would like to know how to fix this.

Song titles are greyed out, lock icon on screen in itunes

I'm trying to copy fies to my iPod through iTunes and it seems to be locked. It's successfully connected to iTunes and I see my iPod name/library, however all of the songs are greyed out and theres a lock icon near the bottom of the screen next to the Free 27.13 GB (lock icon next to that).
Is something wrong with my iPod or iTunes? Please help.

That is normal if you are set for auto-syncing the iPod.
If you change it to manual mode, the little lock icon goes away.

Facebook ad takes over and greys out my entire safari page

It keeps doing it periodically and when you close the ad it reverts back to normal. How do i prevent facebook ad from taking over control of my browser? I have pop ups disabled but if it is a popup ad its a different kind because pop up ads dont grey out the rest of your browswer and make it unusable until you click it off.

There is a free third party pop up blocker that works better then the Safari built in pop up blocker.

In the future, when you post for help, please tells which version of Safari you have installed and which Mac OS X. I see v10.5.1 in your profile, but that's outdated and hopefully you have updated your system software to v10.5.8.
You can change your profile by clicking Your Stuff (just above the search field top right side of this window) then click Profile / Add a product.

Greyed Out "Turn Off Passcode" Button -- Inherited iPhone

My mother just upgraded to an iPhone 4 yesterday and passed along her iPhone 3G to me (who hasn't had a new iPhone since the original). I've managed to set up everything properly as far as I know, but I can't turn off the passcode option. She has said that the hospital she works at required her to have a passcode, which explains why, but I'm curious -- is there any way that I can turn it off, since it's no longer necessary?

You'll have to restore the phone as a "new" device in itunes, NOT from backup to remove that setting. Follow that by syncing your itunes content back to your phone.

Photoshop CC 2014 (same happens in illustrator). Filter gallery (not greyed out, file is regular 8bit rgb) will not work. Error message "the operation could not be completed". Tried throwing out preferences etc.

Anyone know why this happened after last photoshop update?

Type Terminal in Spotlight (The magnifying glass or to the right of your name on the Mac menu bar) and double click it to start it up.
Copy and paste the command at the prompt ($) and it should look like this. Press Enter, type your password, then Enter again.
What I'm think is that if the permissions of the App Support folder were altered, that might explain why things are refusing to work properly
It's an idea, it won't hurt anything, and if we are lucky it will fix the problem.

Greyed-out movie file not syncing

I imported a short MP4 video file into iTunes 10 for Windows. (An old educational short from RiffTrax if you're interested) It appears in iTunes okay and plays fine, but when I attempt to sync my iPhone 4, the title for that video file is greyed out on the Movies page. I have iTunes set to sync unwatched movie files, and this method has always worked for me before: download the file, move it to my movies folder, drag it into iTunes, edit the tags, and sync the device. Any ideas?

The movie files are syncing again. It must've been something with the one that started it.

Greyed Out Extra Music Files--Aggravating!

Okay. I have multiple iPods and one iPad. I am having an issue with duplicate greyed-out files showing in iTunes (11.1.3.8) on my computer (Windows 7 64 bit) whenever I connect the iPad (7.0.4) for syncing. I have looked through multiple other "greyed-out file" threads and none of them seem to exactly match this issue.
When I purchase music from iTunes, I immediately convert the files to MP3 format and delete the originals before syncing with devices. The iPad would always grab the original files before I could stop it and I would end up with duplicate files; this forced me to remove all of that artist's files from the iPad and then re-insert them after deleting the originals again. Today I figured out it was automatically downloading the files as soon as I purchased them (it was the "auto download files bought with other devices" setting).
But a new issue has now arisen. I have a small set of songs purchased last night/today that seem to be "stuck". As usual, I bought them from iTunes, then converted them to MP3, deleted the originals, and synced them to the iPad. Both the computer and the iPad now only show the MP3 versions (like I want them to). However, when I plug the iPad in to the computer for syncing, there are extra files shown when I click the "on this iPad" tab. All of them are duplicates of other MP3 files. They are greyed out, have no "kind" showing and have the little "wheel" on the left as if they are trying to sync. I can find no trace of the files on the computer or the iPad, both behave as if they don't exist. Yet I selected to manually manage the files and tried deleting them, and it showed that they were affecting the space available! I deleted them and then tried syncing again, and they all showed back up again! Arrgghh!!! It seems as though the computer believes the files are still there, yet they're not (and somehow they ARE affecting the iPad space). And this screen is the only place that displays them. Can anyone tell me how to get them purged from the computer so it will stop trying to sync them to the iPad?

I think I'm having the same issue and it only affects music purchased directly from iTunes. My iTunes music library on my computer shows one instance of each track and they're all synced to my iPad and iPhone (but may have originally been purchased and downloaded directly to iPad or iPhone). I have both set to convert tracks down to 128Kbps (in case this is affecting things). When I connect my iPad to iTunes and look at the music stored on the iPad I get a similar result to the screenshot above - greyed out songs and, in some cases, up to three 'versions' of the same track - but this is not always consistent even within a single album. The iPad itself only shows one instance of each track as does the computer's music library. I deleted one of the albums completely from my computer (and deleted from Trash) and then synced my iPad but the album was still on my iPad (although a couple of the tracks showed the iCloud icon). I switched off my Wi-Fi to ensure that the iPad had no connection to the internet and the tracks still played so they must be saved on my iPad somewhere even though, at that point, they weren't on my computer and I had just completed a sync.
I did notice when I looked at the bit rate and size information in iTunes (iPad Library) that where there were three instances of the same song there was a mixture of 128Kbps, 256Kbps and Stream.
I haven't managed to find any solution to this so far but thought I would add my experience in case anybody has figured this out?

When I try and print a web page in the print screen ALL the Print Frame options are greyed out. It won't let me print a page as I see it. I need to pring a page as is. How do I do it in the new 8.0??

As far as printing a page as you see it, many web pages use '''print.css''' files for print-media. The print.css specifies exactly what is to be sent to the printer and it can control the formatting of the printed page.
