Greyish puffs on bottom and right edge of display?

I started to notice some greyer areas along the bottom line of the display as well as on the right side: Have any of you noticed the same defect and, for that matter, returned the machine as a result? It's a soft, grey area like a stain.

I'm going to chime in with Alan and say that what you're describing is normal. Like Alan stated, "slight compression of the screen where it's mounted to the lid." I'm sitting here on a PB G4 12 in. with what you're describing (color varies depending on background). You'll notice it most on a lighter background/window.

White Borders Around the Left and Right Edge of a Published Movie

Does anyone know how to get rid of the white borders that are around the left and right edge of a published movie? It looks like they are about a 1 pixel border. I have the "show borders" unchecked in the themes options.
Any help would be appreciated.

InDesign Showing white line on bottom and right sides

I made sure that my design overlapped for bleed however when exporting to a PDF file it's showing a white line on the bottom and right of the design. I double check to make sure there is overlap and it's still showing up. I have tried searching to see if anyone else has had this issue but no luck.

Never mind... just got an email from InDesignSecrets that answered my problem. Rookie mistake. It was the fact I did not select the use document bleed settings on export.

Can I typeset Chinese in InDesign CC? I have downloaded the Chinese version of InDesign CC, but couldn't get the text to go from top to bottom and right to left. Do I need to download some sort of plug-in for this type of work?

There's little to nothing Adobe Reader can do about this.
The free Adobe Reader cannot create PDF, cannot export PDF page content and cannot manipulate PDF page content.
What is "on" a PDF reflects what was "printed" to PDF from back in the authoring file.
It is within the authoring file where you must make adjustments.
A related "source" issue is what label stock is specifically supported by the authoring application.
While all vendors claim their stuff is alway the same as your stuff that is often not the case.
A 1/64 th of an inch or less difference will put a wooden shoe in the works.

Half frame rendered black- as if a mask cropped the bottom and right side

Here's a mindboggler. And I'm sure it's totally my fault... Newbie here... I know I can go back and redo this in 2k but wondering if anybody has an answer that can save me days of work...
SO, I shot on RED, edited in pro-rez HQ, uprezed with Redcine to 3k prorez for FX- applied FX in AFX then rendered back to 3k. Compiled back in FCP then sent to Color... I found out then that Color can't work with 3k, so I changed my FCP comp to 1920X1080 and scaled the 3k images down to fit (in FCP). Resent to color and everything seemed fine. I did grading in color and rendered. Everything seemed normal until I looked at the renders out of color. The frame size is correct but the image looks like it has a backwards L across the bottom and right side of the frame. As if the geometry rendered only the top part of frame. I check the Geometry room and everything's normal.
Anyone know why it looks fine in Color but when rendering it comes out like this?

What was the resolution setting sent to COLOR by FCP? In the "Send" roundtrip, all Geometry settings are ignored by COLOR in the render stage.

Remove left and right margin when display portlets

What is the best way to remove the left and right margin when display portlets?
I found a file called \portalpages\dotnet\prod\src\com\plumtree\portalpages\browsing\myportal\/
MyPortalContentView.cs
But I do not see a place for the left and right margins. What is the correct place to modify these margins? (How about the top and bottom margins too?)

I had the display upgraded when I bought it so presumed it could have been done whilst 'in operation'. Apart from that there's nothing wrong with it really, doubt it's something they would take it back on anyway.

Bottom and right with getwidth or getheight

I need to get the size of a button in a applet I am building the problem is that when I use Button.getHeight() IE 5.0 throws a java exception. Are there any other ways I can do this? Other then getheight and getwidth.

When playing games such as Cityville, Farmville etc. I never get the complete screen. The bottom and right side are cut off

When I open these games, parts of the game screen do not show up.If I click for full screen in Farmville it all shows up but in Cityville I can't click for full screen because that part of the screen is missing. If I open these games in IE. the whole screen shows up.

Bottom and righ of frame cut off in IE but not in Chrome?

Hello, this is just happing on my computer and I do not know how to fix. When I run one of my captvate projects in Internet explorere 9,10 or 11 the bottom and right side of the frame is cut off. I have the shell set to 1024x768 and I also set it to 800x600 and the same thing is happing. I ran the course in chrome using the HTML link in the folder and it ran fine. I have IE11 on my test computer and it is working there too. Any Ideas or updates that Microsoft may have done that I could be missing or need to change.

Sounds like you just need to clear the cache in Chrome.

Thunderbolt has 2" blank border on the left and right edges.

Hi. I had the same resolution problem as jmzmac...I turned off mirroring and my Thunderbolt display now just has the standard screen saver on it. If I click on System Preferences that window will show on the TBD and I can move my mouse across the two screens so I have an extended desktop but I really want mirroring with the correct resolution so there isn't that 2" space on either side of the screen. I tried the clamshell mode (closing the MacBook Pro, waiting a few seconds, pressing any key to wake it up) but nothing happens on the TBD. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Running 10.6.8)

Adobe Pro X - cutting off bottom and sides of document

Hi.
I had to convert a word doc to a PDF (I managed that)
I then had to put a video in the PDF - so I installed Acrobat Pro X to do this
However, since getting Acrobat Pro X, the bottom and sides of the document have been cut off, and there's a white border along the bottom and right hand side.
I can't uninstall Pro as I need to put videos into the PDF, but I can't submit PDFs with the bottoms and sides cut off either.
Please please can somebody help me?

Go back to the original WORD document and convert to PDF using either the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker (Adobe menu item in WORD). If that solves the problem you are fine. If not, then give us details on how you did the conversion.

What is the icon on the far right that looks like a circle and has a small number that changes depending on the website page? in the bottom right edge of

I am wondering what this thing is.
It is an icon located on the far right of the page next to the search toolbar. It is shaped like a circle with a number on the bottom right edge. The number changes depending on which tab I have opened. An empty tab has no number. This page results in a 1. I have another page open which results in a 4. The number shows white in a small orange box. The circle is outlined with a thick black line. What does this icon indicate?

Hi John, I'm guessing that icon is created and updated by an extension. I'm not sure which one, though. Maybe something that is tracking the trackers, like Lightbeam? Have you tried hovering your mouse over the icon to see whether a tooltip appears, or clicking it?

Bold lines appear around outside right edge and bottom of some pages.

Several pages now have bold lines around outside right edge, bottom and center of document. This bold line is also in center between pages in spread. None of the pages are showing automatic page numbers, and when I try and export to pdf, the pdf is blank. What have I done to create these bold lines? Why are pages not showing? Why does pdf appear blank?

Which version of ID and your OS?
We're going to need screen captures to see what you are talking about.
Is your content on layers marked non-printing? Does it disappear in InDesign when you switch to Preview mode?

CSS Drop down menu; how to align the right edge of drop down and parent menu?

Hello everyone,
I have a drop-down menu that is currently working well.
The only change I need to make is to have the right edge of the drop-down menu to align with the right edge of the parent menu. When you hover over the menu, it currently "drops" down and to the right, with the left edges aligned.
I want the menu to "drop" down and to the left, so the right edges are aligned.
I have tried fiddling with floats and absolute/relative positioning. I'm not sure what needs to be changed.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated! I'm learning via "cut and paste", so please go easy on any terminology you may use.

Whenever I play music only one of the speakers on the bottom (the right one) seems to play the music, if i cover each speaker one at a time you hear no difference when i cover the left, and then you hear no music when i cover the right... help?

bottom left speaker isnt working...
i tested it out and im not sure if its suppose to be like this or not.
when i play my music i tried covering the left speaker on the bottom and no sound difference occurred, then when i covered the bottom right one i heard nothing just some sound from under my finger. the left speaker isnt working or it happens to act like that on 2 of my friends too...
help?
