Grid or Checkered Pattern on iPhone 4s Screen

Does anyone else see a grid or checkered pattern on their iPhone 4s screen. I was reading other discussions about this on the 3g's but I couldn't find anything about the 4s's screen. Both my roommates have the 4s and they don't have the grid on their screen. It is really bugging me. Although it is faint, that is all my eyes focus on now.
Let me know if anyone else has this problem and if there is anyway yo fix it. Thanks!

Mac Pro (early 2008) freezing after displaying a pink checkered pattern.

I upgraged to lion and a whole lot of issues arose.
The first thing I noticed is that I would keep getting an error message on startup saying that one of my computer USB ports is pretty much being overused in wattage. I also remember that it was getting a lot more warmer then usual and the fan was also sounding like it was overworking. This eventually lead up to the worst error - My computer would freeze up at random moments. Could be 5 minutes, could be upwards of two hours. It would eventually just display a very faint pink checkered pattern along across the screen. Once that happened, the mouse cursor on the screen would lockup, and everything would freeze until restart.
After a couple weeks of trying everything imaginable, I just reinstalled Leopard.
Everything worked flawlessly again. No power interupt messages, or lockups...
Until today (roughly 2 months after dropping back to OS Leopard). I was recording in Logic Pro 9 when I noticed a faint checkered pattern... I thought to myself, oh God NOT NOW! haha. But yeah, here we go again
I love this machine, and feel kind of cheated after only getting 3 years and 6 months use.
This machine has been well taken care of, and taken apart and put back together with care.
Any suggestions? The closest Apple Store to me is 3,000 km away.
I've heard stories of some of these machines having video card issues, hopefully that's just the case?

Actually what graphic card was left out.
What you tried.
SMC Reset and AHT at top of my list along with of course a clean install
you researched your apps hardware drivers on Roaring Apps now that there is no Rosetta in Lion
What about a 'diagram' of your devices; your USB and how/where, any hubs. Maybe you need PCIe USB (USB2 or 3) controller.
Hopefully not using just 6GB RAM ("6" doesn't make sense otherwise though)

IMac, Checkered Pattern on Grey Screen.

I am currently working on a 17" iMac G5, while it boots and displays the grey Apple logo, there is a dark checkered pattern accorss the screen. This disappears once I get to the blue screen (launchD). This happens if I boot from the internal drive or a Tiger DVD. This problem does not happen if I boot into Open Firmware, untill I load the OS. Also, the pattern is still there when I get into the user environment, but it is very hard to see. Also, it was frezzing on the checkered screen, but I have been unable to recreate that part of the problem. Thanks!

It's probably the video card gone bad. If you have the extended apple care, you may have received a TechTool Deluxe disk. If you have that disk, there's a utility on there that'll let you run a test on the video. You'll probably get an error when it runs the video ram test. If it's the video card, you'll need to get the logicboard replaced.

IPhone 6 screen unresponsive and flickering

My iPhone 6 screen all of a sudden became completely unresponsive. It no longer responds to any kinds of touch inputs. Furthermore, when on, the screen is constantly flickering with grids. I tried restarting, to no avail. as well as putting it in DFU Mode, resetting it, and restoring from backup-- nothing solves the problem. Is the only way to fix this to take it to the Apple store?

In the last couple of weeks (and nothing has changed) - I noticed that my iPhone 6 will remain in landscape mode if I lift it up too quickly. It's not frozen - but it's not detecting that it is upright. The workaround seems to be lower the phone to a horizontal position and then lift it again - slowly - and that seems to restore the portrait mode. I could understand if this started happening immediately after an update - but it did not - it started about 2 weeks ago. Typically the app that I use in landscape mode (the most) is youtube. I'm wondering if it is something with the YouTube app - but I don't recall any recent updates for it either.

sometimes for a few seconds, or sometimes many hours.
I've resetted it when this happens, with no luck.
I've restored it from back up, and the problem still persists.
What can i do?

I had that problem as well and the apple support suggested to turn off the LTE-mode to have a running system and try to exchange the micro-sim by my provider.
THAT was not an option!
BUT it seems to solve my problem in the following way after trying a lot of possibilties:
In the menue properties/help (don't know the exact english word, because I run my phone in german)
I switched on the nice feature 'flash LED' by incomming calls, msgs, and push infos.
Today the flash feature was responding to different push notes very slowly.
By switching this feature off the LTE-mode-tochscreen-not-responding-problem disappeared.
We tried this on a other iphone, not having the metioned problem, and switched the LED-flash:
the problem appeared. Switching the LED-flash off: problem disappeared!
It seems to be a bug that the LED will hint Calls and MSGs in combination with the LTE mode!
treated my phone very hard today to double check, but its still ok.
@Apple:
Please fix that issue in the next update.

I've got an iPhone 4s like 6 months ago. I protect my screen with a screen protector, but my friends told me that iPhone's screen can't be scratched, its this true?

Of course it's not true. It's made of glass. No matter how hard the glass is, it can be scratched.
As a practical matter, I never use screen protectors and I've had iPhones since the original in '07. I've never had scratches on the screen.

It's happened to me before as well. Try holding both lock(top right) and home buttons simultaneously until u see a slight flash of wight then just reboot it normally. If that doesn't work try restoring your device from itunes

Why does my iphone 3gs screen go white after it goes "to sleep" for the first time after turning it on?
The screen isn't broken because it works after i turn the device off and back on, but after it goes black once, it's only white again.
But it takes the touches although it's only white, because I can answer my phone when I slide my finger on the bottom of the screen, eventhough there in not the button to see.
This is so weird. I have already done everything I can think of that might help. But I cannot think of anything that might be causing it, because nothing has happened to the device.

My wife's iPhone is the same vintage as mine 3Gs, but has never had the battery problem. Its affliction instead is that it cannot detect WiFi networks unless it is quite close to the source. Often, when my iPhone not only detects but shows a maximum cells connection with a network, hers cannot detect the network at all. In contrast, her iPhone seems to detect ourcellular carrier just as well as mine does.
Is there any help for this affliction?

Setting App > Notifications > Mail > Change the alert style to None (Then repeat for Messages).

No in order to backup to iTunes, you would need to unlock your phone.
In order to import pics to your computer you would need to unlock your phone.

No. By having an unauthorized service shop open your phone you have forefited ALL service (both in and out of warranty) from Apple. Apple will never again touch that phone. Take it to the same "shop" that repaired it before.

To replace your phone's screen costs $109US and I don't see why having Apple replace the screen would void your warranty.

HT201263 my iphone 5 screen has gone black, and when i plug it into itunes it says we have discovered a iphone in recovery mode, then when i try to restore it it just says waiting for iphone and doesnt get anywhere else. ny clue on how i can fix this prob
