Gridlines?

Hi all,
I am working on a book in Aperture and was wondering if there is a way to display grid lines (like graph paper) over the pages so that I can ensure that the spacing between my images is consistent.
Thank you!

Hello
Once again I will write that the response is in the Help.
If you search for the keyword "grid" you will not find an entry related to the meaning used in XL as well as in AppleWorks.
The Numbers designers decided that there is no need for two different items.
Cells are delimited by their borders which are set by these defaults:
If you think that they made a sad choice you know the correct track to report to Apple Numbers's team.

  • Why do I get blue gridlines in photos that I print from Lightroom 4 on my Epson 3540 printer?

I am using Lightroom 4, and I print on a Workforce 3540 Epson printer. In this program, but not in any other (such as iPhoto), I get blue grid lines in the background of each photo. How do I remove these gridlines?

  • SSRS - overlap in text and gridlines (rendering to .pdf)

I have searched everywhere to find the answer, but I cannot find it. I have a table where numbers have been outlined to the right. The table has a borderstyle black with 1pt and padding with 2pt. When rendering this table to .pdf the numbers disappear behind
the gridlines (with or without gridlines). Some do, some don't. See also the included image.
Can someone help me with this? Increasing padding does not work. Adding spaces does not work. Outlining to the center or left, yes that works, but I need it outlined to the right.
Is there someone who can help me to fix this?
    Best regards,

    Hi _Montinio,
According to your description, when you export the report to PDF file, the end of numbers in each cell are hidden.
In Reporting Service, if values are numeric, it will automatically right aligned in textbox. And the padding for textbox is set to 2pt by default. As we tested in our environment, the textbox works properly. Please refer to screenshots blow:
In your scenario, according to your screenshot, it seems like you don’t set padding to top and left. So I would like to know some detail information about your report design. If possible, please provide some screenshots about results both in BIDS and PDF
    render.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best regards,

  • Is there a way to print both gridlines AND the border of a table in Numbers '09?

Hi there. I cannot find a way to print both the gridlines AND the border of a table.
I can print the gridlines, but not a border around the selected area.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Apply the define grid feature (here I defined a blue grid)
then apply the ddefine border feature (here I defined a red border)

  • Is there a way to draw gridlines at a specific point on a bubble chart?

I'm using Xcelsius 4.5 and (trying to) creating a bubble chart.  I am using static min/max values for the x and y axes, but rather than drawing the gridlines in 1 or 2 divisions (i.e. the midpoint), I want to draw a grid line (both x and y) at a specific point -- is there any way to designate this point in Xcelsius?

I figured it out - I just adjusted my formula to draw the min/max such that my intersection is always the midpoint

  • PSE12: How to create gridlines on the image page then converted into a pdf? [was: N276]

I want to download an image from the internet, for example, batman, create gridlines on the image page then converted into a pdf.  where on adobe photo shop element 12 can I do this.

On way is to define a pattern:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/875370?tstart=0
Another way is this neat free grid generator filter:
    http://www.richardrosenman.com/software/downloads/
    1. Add a blank layer above the picture layer, fill with white, and set Blend Mode to Multiply.
    2. Apply the filter. There are many options. Here I chose black lines on white background with 20 square boxes across. Note that the background should be pure white (255,255,255) so as not to change the original picture.
You can also find lots of grid images on the Internet, for example a Google search on "grid" or "grid paper". As in the previous method, add this image above your picture and set its Blend Mode to Multiply.  Again, the background should be pure white.

  • Numbers Gridline Problem

How do I get NUMBERS to replace missing gridlines in part of a spreadsheet? Copying to a new blank sheet or to an Excel sheet
    doesn't work.

    Hi Peggy,
There are a couple of places you can go to manage gridlines.
Here with the table or row or column or cell selected you can change  things including choosing "default" under the line popup.
Here you can select/deselect gridlines or even choose a style for the whole table.

  • Align gridlines

Hello All. With the help of this board I have managed to plot both my data sets on the same graph. I have a request. Is it possible to force the right y-axis to use the gridlines of the left y-axis?
Basically I have a predictable range on the left and have this programatically set to have a consistant and readable number of gridlines. The right is less predictable, so I have been using the autoscale function, but it likes to add a whole bunch of differently spaced gridlines.
Is there a way to autoscale with a certain number of gridlines (say 20?) so that the gridlines on my two axes match even though one is autoscaled and one is not?
Also, would it be possible to keep the min value 0? Basically just autoscale greater than zero?
    Thanks,
    Nukem.
    LabVIEW 2010

Is your right graph Y-axis one that is going to be re-autoscaling frequently? If not, I'd suggest manually autoscaling it (find max, min of data, pick good max, min for axis [for example not -4.573 to +132.05] and figure out the interval for X gridlines, which you'd just calculate from your left Y-axis data. It's really pretty straightforward. (I stopped using a program's native autoscaling when I can avoid it many years ago when I used Excel a lot for presentations - 'nuf said.)

  • View Gridlines - Table tool is blue dotted, need to change it to grey

We are migrating our application in such a way that the documents are getting printed in word 2007/word 2010. Earlier our application used word 2003 to print the document.
    Earlier...
we used a template which holds tables, we have enable the gridlines of the tables to be visible (the gridlines were grey solid lines)
    Now..
When we migrated to print the docs in word 2007/word 2010 the same table gridlines appears to be blue dotted lines. Is there any way to change the appearance of this property as it is in word 2003 ?
The name of the property in word 2007/10 is "View Gridlines".

    Hello,
Did you set the table borders to "None" and then enable the "View Gridlines"? If so, I think it's the default behavior of Word 2007/Word 2010. The gridlines is blue dotted lines in Word 2007/Word 2010 by default and we haven't found
    a way to change this.

  • How can I get gridlines to print on my template that I created in Numbers?

I am trying to create a template in Numbers and I want the gridlines to print.  The drop downs for x-axis and y-axis under Chart inspector are shaded gray and are not able to be clicked on.  How can I get those gridlines to print?

You seem to be looking in the Chart Inspector for formatting options for the table. Use the Table Inspector, or the Format Bar for Table Cell Border format options.
I have circled the border format controls in the Format Bar in the attached screen shot:

  • Is there a way to hide gridlines in Numbers?

This is not the same as custom borders on cells -- I'm referring to the soft gray cell grid on the screen. I'm doing some work requiring screen shots, and they would look better without the lines.

It doesn't matter if you are setting borders over gridlines or removing gridlines the system is the same.
The easiest way would be to remove all the gridlines by setting the line option to NONE then set the borders you require.
If the line is set to NONE instead of changing the colour the grid will show faintly when selected.
    Copy of Setting Borders Post:
The Border options are on the format bar but the Border options in Inspector might be easier to follow.
NOTE: Blue double lines show which borders are selected, they disappear when the borders have been changed.
Inspector > Tables > Cell Borders or Format bar
First select the cell / cells in your Table or select the Whole table in the sidebar > select which borders you want to change in the Inspector > Then select the line but remember Thin will not allow you to change the next box which is the point size of the line. > next box is color.
If you just want to select separate lines in the table select "allow border selection" on the Menu bar Table dropdown.
If you get a mess which we all do at times Select the whole table in the side bar and set the Line option box to None and start again.
