GRN reversal in last period ie 12/2008

Dear All,
Our client is trying to reverse the GRN in last period of 2008 ie 12/2008.But the error appears as
" In Plant 1000,post to current period 2009/01"
Why the system not allowing?

Hi
You are not allowed to reverse/ process any transaction in closed periods (in MM you can have max two periods in force - one current and previous only). If you want to cancel the GRN thereby deleting PO use account maintenance trasaction MR11 which will delete PO.

Try this method for only Sand box Server
1. Deassign the Plants from your company code
2. Go to OMSY and change the periods....
3. Assign the Plants to your company code again..
4. Go to OMWD and correct the valuation grouping code
for your plants,...

Value for last period in a reporting year

I have a requirement to create a key figure and restrict it by creating a user exit variable the details are as follows:
1. User inputs Fiscal Year: 2009
2. We create a Key Figure which is restricted (exit variable am able to do this) by FISCPER 0122009
Just to confirm that because we are in a period which is earlier then 0122009 it will show 0 if there are no postings for 0122009 and not the last period value say for 0042009

--> If restriction against 0122009 and no posting during that period, you will get Zero only.
Instead of year as User input, make it Fiscal Period as User input and derive Year.
Provide more details of requirement.

Issue with Grn Reversal

Hi Experts
We are facing an issue with regard to GRN reversal for a purchase order.
When we try to DO a GRN reversal the system message states " no suitable item found" .
The Po has multiple line items and Goods receipt Document for the line item for which we are trying to do reversal is created . Also we find that their is a confirmation control key "shipping notification" associated with this line item . Their are no inbound delivery details for this line item.
The Vendor master does have a confirmation control key in the purchasing data view but this was updated in vendor master after GRN date for the line item
Please suggest/advice how confirmation control key was activated for the line item in the Po whose GRN was already done
and now when we are trying to reverse it the system doesnot allow due confirmation control key activated in the line item

Read last period of infotype without logical database

Hi,
I'm looking for a FM that retrieves last period of one infotype without using logical database pnp, so rp-provide-from-last isn't a solution
Now, I'm using a home made solucion:
First I use HR_READ_INFOTYPE function to read all periods of infotype, then I sort the table by endda (descending) and get first register of table.
But I really prefer using a SAP function module.

You can use the same FM "HR_READ_INFOTYPE" & pass begda = sy-datum and endda = '12/31/9999'.
You will get only one record i.e. latest one.

Use t code FB02. Enter required parameters and press enter. From the menu slect Extras - Document header. This will take you to next screen. In this screen from the menu select GoTo Document Header. Change the reversal date and save.
Then reverse the document using normal process. The document will get reversed on the new date entered.

Time Machine Bad Date: Last Backup December 8 2008

This morning the message under the Time Machine icon in the top menu bar showed Last BackUp December 8 2008.
Entering Time Machine itself, I could see that the last backup was actually September 2 2010 5:02 pm
Since running a back up this morning it appears to have righted itself.
Anyone else having this issue?
I updated iTunes to version 10 yesterday afternoon. Can't see how that could be related, but who am I to say. Should also mention I am a MobileMe member.
I am wondering if this is more likely a software glitch in Time Machine or if it indicates that the Time Capsule itself is starting to fail.

StorEdge T3 NTP sync stopped working last weekend (Aug 23 2008)

We have 3 T3B's, two running 3.1.4 firmware and one running 3.2.2.
All 3 stopped sync'ing with their NTP server last Saturday (Aug 23 2008).
I've just upgraded the 3.2.2 one to 3.2.6 and found that it won't sync either.
I've checked the NTP servers involved; they're fine. I've also pointed one
T3 to another NTP server and tcpdump shows it not making any NTP queries.
'ntp stats' comes back with 'No Status yet' after 24 hours of running.
The older firmware T3's show no successful sync since last Saturday.
Our network management picked this up when clock drift of the
T3's started occuring on Saturday, and now 2 of them are upto 10
seconds out of sync.
I gather this is a bug triggered by time crossing some value...
We've not had this problem in the several years we've had these T3's.
Anybody else seeing this?

As strange as the problem started, it also stopped on all 3 T3's at around Sep 6 06:50 UTC (or within 5 mins of this).
Now all 3 are in sync again, after getting upto 60s out of drift.
Prior, I ran tcpdump for several days watching for NTP requests from one of the T3's; there were none.
Now its polling normally (every couple of minutes; I had interval set to 1 on this box).
So they were not doing NTP requests from Aug 23 22:52 approx to Sep 6 06:50, almost exactly 14 days.
Very strange.

How to create a 0FISCPER variable for [last period of current year]

Can anybody tell me how to create a (exit) variable for the last period of the current year, based on 0FISCPER ?
Based on a single value, user entry variable based on 0FISCPER.
I did not find any standard (business content) variables for this.
Can anybody tell me whether the following alternative works:

Last period last fiscal year

Hi Guru's,
I'm trying to make a report with the following key figures colums:
column 1: balance, restricted by fiscal year/month (with a variable, user entry), i have my own fiscal variant
column 2: balance, restricted by the last period last fiscal year (user exit)
<u>for example:</u> column 1 shows the values of period 005.2006, then automatically column 2 shows the period 012.2005
for column 2 i created a user exit variable ZVARLPLY, can anybody help me with the coding in the user exit? I already tried to use the variable "0P_BA102 --> ZP_BA102", but it didn't work. The error "Variable 0P_BA102 could not be replaced" will disappear when i check the input of the variables.
Can anyone help me?

Error when "Reverse" Dec-2007 Journals to Jan-2008 Period?

Dear all,
GL_2007 & GL_2008 categories are defined and assign the sequences to these 2 categories. However, it gets error and is the following:
An assignment does not exist for these parameters and one is mandatory.
Cause: The profile option Sequential Numbering is defined to have sequential numbering always used. The current set of parameters does not have a sequence assigned.
SHRD0014: GLPREV - process exiting with failure.
Does anyone counter the same thing?

Depreciation Posting Run for Period 02 in 2008

Dear All,
I have closed the 2007 fiscal year for fixed assets and executed the fiscal year change successfully. I have also executed the depreciation run for January period 01 without any errors, however, when I attempted to execute the depreciation run for February (period 01), I keep on getting this error message:
_Test run was terminated. No documents were created in this run_
Upon further investigation, I got this long text for the error message:
In the number range interval for the document type for posting depreciation, a document has been posted which was not created within the framework of depreciation posting. The last document posted by depreciation posting was assigned the number.
I have checked my number ranges and there is really no problem there.
Can somebody please help me as we need to close the financial books for period 02 and would not be able to do this until the completion of depreciation run.

Check first wht is the posting period varient assign and than check all the assignments...including the number ranges and document types.

Payment Document reversed in wrong period

Dear All,
I need your help. I have reversed one Payment document in wrong period. Now Payment document is in period 09 while reversal document is in period 10.
Is there any way to undo this reversal or else change the period in the reversed document?
Here I need one suggestion as well. What will be the implication of this in period end closing activity?The payment document is closed and refering to reverse document as well.
What I know is for period closing system checks for only open items.
Please suggest on this.

Yes You can do post with reference in F-02 and reverse the document.
But when you initially reverse the payment document the document will close now either you reverse reversed document or closed payment document. The new document will have status as open.
This open document will definetly effect month end closing.
I think solution suggested by Santosh is better one.

Change GR based IV indicator in Me22n after GRN reverse

Dear All,
I have issue related to GR based IV.
I created a PO with delivery cost.
did GR wrt PO where Material account got debit and Gr/ir and freight clearing got credit.
During MIRO user did not found any freight amount(i.e Clearing account). So they put manually as a unplanned delivery cost and post the wrong entry.
So i analysed and found that due to the un tick of GR Based IV in PO, they did not get freight clearing account in MIRO.
So i reversed the MIRO and GRN and when i go to PO change mode then GR based IV is in disable mode. It is not allowing to change.
So kindly guide me how to resolved the issue

Even if i reverse the document, i am not able to change it.
Anyways it is resolved now, actually during MIRO i have selected wrong layout that is why delivery cost was not showing.
