GRN vs Schedule Agreement validity Date

Dear All,
We got very severe issue, we have created the Scheduling Agreements(document type -LP) between the two plants (Cross Company Codes) with the vendor code created under the Account Group : 0007.
During the creation of the Scheduling Agreements , we have not assigned the Plant code in Vendor Master (In Purchasing organisation data-> Extras-> plant Assignment).
So the shipping data did not get determined per material in scheduling agreement and scheduling agreements created as the normal Scheduling agreements (NOT as Stock transfer scheduling agreements)
and plants started doing the transaction(In Production server) as Normal Purchase Sale (by creating sale order and GRN via Scheduling Agreement) .
But now , it is required to change the process via Sale -Purchase to Stock Transfer , so we have changed the Vendor master and assign the Plant to the vendors.
But the transaction has been going on already created scheduling agreements. So how Delete/Close the existing  scheduling agreements. and we need to create new scheduling agreements(Stock transfer scheduling agreements).
I have tried out with Validity period (by shortning the Validity Period) , so that existing SA should NOT be invalid for GRN, but GRN date has no control with Validity period of SA.
Please suggest how to go about it.
Regards
Nitiin

Hi,
Try This
Do not maintain Delievry Schedule in Me38 or you can try with setting Block vendor in Source List or you can change validity period in source list.

  • Scheduling Agreement: validity variation date on schedule dates

    Hello everybody
I have a problem and  I appreciate your advice .
There is an agreement “A” which validity date is from 01.01.2007 to 31.12.2007.
And an agreement "B" with validity date from 01.01.2008 to 31.12.2009
After the MRP has been run, It creates the Delivery Schedule based on agreement "A" . But in a specific item, it was created two delivery date which are out of the validity date; those were 07.01.2008, and 12.01.2008
The question is why did the system create deliveries schedule out of the validity date base on agreement “A” and not based on agreement “B”? I mean,
Why did the system create this Scheduling delivery date out of the range of validity of the Agreement?
And, In the case that it had taken the validity date from Agreement "B" why did it put it on agreement "A"?
Could you give me any tip or suggestion where I need to verify or check in order to find out the reason why this happened?
I already verify the agreements, the source list and they seem to be ok.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Adrianda,
The creation of schedule lines through MRP depends upon the Agreement( no "A" or "B" in your case) and the validity period, and the period for which the MRP is run the system will create the SL according to the period for which the MRP has run,as per my knowledge there are no other place you can check,so double check the source list.

  • Scheduling Agreement –delivery date in month format -  MD04

    Dear experts,
    Scheduling Agreement, forecast delivery schedule.
When I enter a delivery date in month format, the system, during processing, automatically checks the factory calendar and proposes the first valid working day as the delivery date. ( Yes. I know it is a SAP standard )
My requirement is automatically checks by the system  the last  working day as the delivery date.
Could you tell me what are the settings i need to check to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance
    artur

As pointed out already above you need to use a periodic lot sizing procedure.
Use Lot sizing procedure P, Lot size indicator K and Scheduling =2
As per your requirement, you need to create a calendar using MD25 with Months (Workdays) as a calculation rule with 1 as the period in the box provided.
After a MRP run the delivery date would point to the last day of the month.
But the requirement is a bit surprising as say for a requirement on the 1st of the month you will have the delivery showing up on the last day of the same month. Under what circumstances do you have this requirement as a valid one in your business case?

  • Problem during grn for scheduling agreement

    Dear Pals,
I have done scheduling agreement with doc.type LP. I have maintained schedule lines also. While doing GRN for that, it is throwing an error
" PU ordered quntity exceeded by 300 ea: 3000000200 "
    How could i resolve this...
    Prasath

    Hi,
How you had maintained schedule lines...month wise/week wise/ day wise.
If suppose you maintained month wise like 11/2008 --- 300 qty and you are making GR in 12/2008 then system will allow but if you are making GR before the schedule line date/period then system will give you the above error.
Please check your dates in schedule lines and GR date. Gr date must be on schedule line date or after the schedule line date.
Please provide the dates maintained in schedule and GR date.

  • Scheduling Agreement - Pr. Date Cat.

    Hi,
What exactly is the use of Pr. Date Cat. (specifically: 5 - GR Date) in the Conditions portion in Additional Data when creating Scheduling Agreement (ME33L)?
Does it really have any effect on the valuation of the material during Goods Receipt? As can be understood when displaying Help (F1).
"If you choose the date of goods receipt, for example, a new price will
be determined upon the arrival of the goods, causing the item to be
    revaluated at this time."
I have created several test scenarios but the GR price always takes the price in the Scheduling Agreement even if i have an Info Record with a different price on the validity date on which my goods reception falls.
Can someone please confirm it's functionality and how exectly the Pr. Date Cat. affects the Agreement and Goods Receipt?
    Thanks!

    Hi
Price date category will affect the valuation during the Goods receipt.
If the Price date category is 5 - GR date then the system will  search for the price in inforecord for the GR date then it will be considered for valuation.
In you scenario please check the price date category is maintained in purchasing inforecord as well.
    Hope it helps
    Thanks/Karthik

  • Scheduling agreement validity

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I have a requirement where delivery should happen only within the validity period.
I am trying to map the same through Scheduling agreement, where i can enter the From and To date.
When i am entering the schedule line manually which falls after the validity end date, system is throwing the warning message V1448.
I tried to make this message as ERROR in OBMSG/OBA5.
    Still the message is WARNING.
Please advise on how this message can be made ERROR.
Is there any other way to map this process other than by using scheduling agreement ( delivery should happen within the validity period only) ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Hegal

    message V1448.
The above message is being popped up from Include / Program MV45AF0D_DATUM_PRUEFEN_GUELTIG and I dont think, it can seen in the two TCodes indicated by you.
Changing from Warning to Error is definitely not recommended.  You can however, definitely control this through your existing routine or with user exit.
    thanks

  • Scheduling agreement pricing date category

    Hi
i have a situation where the pricing date category in the additional data tab in scheduling agreement is defaulted to value 5 in display mode while i create a PO for certain vendors.
At first i checked for authorizations, but that wasn't helpful.
The field is in display mode when creating/changing an agreement.
pricing date category wasn't maintained in vendor master or info record for these vendors.
It happens only for certain vendors.
can someone tell me,how this is happening.

    Hi,
The field price control cannot be changed for scheduling agreements
with time-dependent conditions, it is always set to '5' (GR date).
The reason is that the delivery from the vendor does not necessarily
cover exactly one scheduling line; in many cases several scheduling
lines with different delivery dates are affected - which delivery date
should the system take in such a situation? In other words: there is
no scheduling line based GR in the SAP system - therefore it does
not make sense to change the field.

  • Changes to Rebate Agreement Validity Date Field

    Hi,
We are trying to prevent people from changing the "Validity To" date field (KONA-DATBI) on Rebate Agreement masters (VBO3). They are back dating the field which is causing probelms for running billings.
Is they any way this can be done via a validation on that field or a message that pops up when the field is changed to something earlier than current date?
    Thanks

    Hi,
This fields is opened for a good reason, sometimes the end-date of an agreement should be reduced when you want to split a period and therefore create a new agreement for the remaining period.
In my opinion this is a procedure problem, your users must know what they do.
If someone still keeps on introducing incorrect data in the system, this person should receive additional training and / or be warned.
    To answer your specific question:
There is no user-exit for the rebate agreement master data. Quite a shame.

  • Schedule Lines generated for expired Scheduling agreements

    Hi All,
We are facing problems in Scheduling agreements.
Schedule lines are getting generated for those agreements whose validity has expired(i.e Validity in Past).
Is there any check to restrict those Scheduling Agreements??
    Please Help.
    Regards,
    Ritesh.

from OSS note 914607 - FAQ: Validity and status of scheduling agreements
    1. Question: When I process scheduling agreements without delivery schedules, I have the option to specify the validity of the scheduling agreement: "Valid" and "Valid to". What role does the validity play when the scheduling agreement is processed?
Response: In the case of scheduling agreements without delivery schedules, the system checks the validity of the scheduling agreement if you create a new schedule line or change an existing schedule line. If the schedule line date is outside the validity interval, a warning message is issued. You can then decide whether or not to create the schedule line or whether to adjust the validity of the scheduling agreement. No error message is issued.
    2. Question: What role does the validity play in the case of scheduling agreements with delivery schedules?
Response: The function is similar to scheduling agreements without delivery schedules. The only difference is that the entry of the validity is optional (unlike scheduling agreements without releases) and this is not checked by the system. If the validity is missing, the system does note issue a warning message. If you specify the validity, the system behaves in the same way as for scheduling agreements without releases.

  • Restrict the Quantity in the Scheduling Agreement

    Dear All,
I have a scenario where the client wants to restrict the quantity in scheduling agreement for particular customer.
    Scenario:
Scheduling Agreement(Valid: 01.04.2011 to 31.03.2012) should be created for XYZ customer with target qty as 3000 per year or per qtr.(User enters the schedule lines manually only.)
    Schedule lines:
    Date                             Order qty
    01.04.2011                   500
    01.06.2011                   500
    28.07.2011                   100
    31.12.2011                   900
    01.01.2012                   500
    01.02.2012                    700
Here when the user enters the 700 qty, system has to give error message as it is exceeds the target qty.
Is it possible in standard or do we need to have to do any development.
    Kindly share your inputs
    With regards

  • Scheduling Agreements-Not able processes shipments

When i  try to make  any changes to the delivery document (change/delete) created by the combination of two scheduling agreements  the system shoots an error ME803 dump.txt. I looked at  Note 100690 which says  inconsistency and executed the correction report to fix the same. But whenever new delivery is  created from these scheduling agreements encounters the same problem. Need to run the correction program to reprocess the delivery document. This is affecting the shipments from other plants.
Delivery Quantity is getting updated wrongly
Can any one tell me the root cause of this problem.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Will,
It's an outline agreement that is created for one or more materials and outlines the overall expected quantity of the material(s) to be delivered to the customer over a specific period of time.
    <b>Use</b>
The scheduling agreement is used as a basis for delivering a material. The customer sends in scheduling agreement releases, referred to as delivery schedules, at regular intervals to release a quantity of the material.
    <b>Structure</b>
The structure of scheduling agreements with delivery schedules resemble that of other sales documents in the R/3 System, in particular the standard scheduling agreement.
Data that applies to the entire document appears in the header; data about materials appears at item level; and delivery dates and quantities appear in the schedule lines within the delivery schedule. Additionally, the system maintains a history that permits you to compare and contrast various generations of delivery schedules.
    <b>Integration</b>
Data in scheduling agreements comes from three sources:
The customer sends in requested quantities and dates, normally by Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
The component supplier enters data manually
The system automatically copies data into the scheduling agreement from master records
Hope it helps. Please reward if useful.
