Group and link options

I guess I'm getting old cause for years now I have had the Layers>group options and for some reason now all I have is the link option available. Running Windows XP, Photoshop CS3
What did I do to lose it? or what causes that, so I can change things..

Click the really small down arrow at the upper right corner of the layers window, which brings up a menu that has all the options you mentioned. You may need to ctrl+click the files before some of the options are active, but I'm pretty sure that's what you're trying to find.

Use Parameter to choose Group and Sort options

I've got a report that gets used for several different puposes, and needs to be grouped or sorted differently each time. How can I use a parameter to let the user choose the group and sort options at runtime?
I'm using CR2008, and SAP B1 2005. The various grouping options I want to offer include SKU, Vendor and Description, and sorting within those Groups by SKU or Description.
I'm a newbie with CR, so detailed instructions would be really helpful.

You can create a report using parameter field. Follow these steps
-- Create new parameter in the field explorer window
-- The parameter shouls be static and enter all the field names on which you want to create in the values option
-- Now create a formula like this
if {?Parameter}="fieldname1" then
else
if {?Parameter}="fieldname2" then
else
-- Now insert new group and select this formula
-- Now the group will change according to the parameter selected
Please note that if you have different data types of fields you must need to convert totext()
as If condition will allow only one data type output.
Also when you insert any group by default the data is sorted on grouped field. If you want to sort on another field then you need to insert a summary field on that and go to report>group sort expert>select the field-->All based on the summary inserted.

Workcentre Group and links not appearing

Hi All
I Created BI report links, assigned them to the workcentre group ID reports and this group is assigned to the workcentre.
I went to the Business role..into the adjust workcentre group id links....I could see the group assigned to the workcentre and the links assigned to the group. I checked marked the links as visible and saved. But when I come to the web UI, I don't see the workcentre group nor the links ? Please reply ASAP

If these are missing then there has to be something that you are missing in the config itself. It has to be something really small that is very easy to be ignored. Please review the config once again, closely. For reference please do have a look at the blog below by Vikash...it is really helpful:

Linking layers is similar grouping layers in a sense, but a bit different as well.
So you can have multiple layers retain their relationship to each other as you move them around, or transform them and they will transform together.
Unlink them and they will act separately
One difference of linked layers vs grouped layers is that you can move a linked layer up and down your layers panel, in and out of groups, and still maintain it's link to the other layers which may reside in a group. So that if you select that layer and move it on the canvas, it will still move with the layer it's linked to even though it's outside the group.
You can link multiple groups together as well.

PC-UI : Creating new Filed Group and link it to the screen

I have extended the Leads application in EEWB in CRM 4.0. I would like to bring the new fields in PCUI. How do I create a new field group containing the newly created fields, link it to the screen structure and generate the corresponding layout. Do I have to use CRMC_BLUPRINT transaction code at any point of time. An answer for a detailed approach would be rewarded with Maximum Points.

as it is custom fields use the tx:CRMC_BLUPRINT_C.
BTY when you add new fields via EEWB it will automatically generates fieldgroup and shows in the screen.
If you want to create your own fieldgroup goto above tx and you will find field group under application element.

Grouping and linking by giving a Folder Name?????

Hi all.
Is there any possibilities to have LINKS for the given FOLDER (specified by the user).
For eg:
SystemName: \\Sys1\c\TestFolder
\\Sys1\c\TestFolder.....Like this the Folder name will be given. What is the need here is to generate automatic link to the sub folders of files.
Here links needed for Italicized words....
C:\TestFolder (Folder name will be specified in the code)

Convert data link between one query's group and another querys group to SQL

I have a report where there are 2 query Groups. These 2 query groups r linked by data link. How do i combine these queries to One query so i can use it as a SQL query.

Assume that we have two queries Q1 and Q2 and the common column between the two queries is "comn".
Now we can convert the datalink into SQL as follows:-
SELECT *
FROM
(Query for Q1)a,
(Query for Q2)b
WHERE a.comn=b.comn(+)
Note: "a" and "b" are alias names for Q1 and Q2.

• Open/close all layer groups (folders) at the current level of hierarchy: Cmd-click the arrow next to the group - This is handy when you want to open/close, say, all the top-level groups without disturbing the open/closed state of any groups nested within them.
• Open/close all layer groups nested within the current one: Opt-click the arrow next to the group - This is nice when you want to open/shut a bunch of nested groups, without affecting any that lie outside the target group.
• Open/close all layer groups, period: Cmd-Opt-click the arrow next to a group So, to keep things simple: when in doubt, Cmd-Opt-click a group’s arrow and you’ll collapse/expand all groups.
* On Windows please substitutes Ctrl for Cmd and Alt for Opt. .

Try with the GO URL concept, when u click the image you are going to show a report using GO URL.

here the options "fdr" means
f= Printer friendly
d = Download
r = Refresh

I cannot get my "send link" option undfer the File menu to work. Nothing happens. I went under options and set mailto to my Gmail but no luck.

I tried it again using "save link as", and this time it actually worked! I just now downloaded several more using the "save link as" option, and it works perfectly. Thanks. Problem solved.

What is the Behavior.Navigation URL for creating navigation bar links for search scopes for security group and distribution groups?

...the search scope is used to subset the SGs and DGs. The search scope itself shows expected results. The search scope filter used is: /Group[Type='Security' or Type='MailEnabledSecurity'][(Domain = 'DomainX') or (Domain = 'DomainY')]
Tried the following, with the GUID being the resource ID from the search scope for security groups:

are you talking about redirect URL in search scope ? FIM will automatically add the searchtype querystring
for custom groups search scope you can use :
~/IdentityManagement/aspx/groups/AllGroups.aspx
and configure you search scope to use the same UsageKeywords as for the security groups
and restart your IIS server using the command "IISRESET"
in your case if you want to create navigation bar link to your group-type search scope use may use this format:
http://{your fim server}/IdentityManagement/aspx/groups/AllGroups.aspx?searchtype={your searchscope guid}&content=%2a

Is there a way to restore to a prior point in time? I somehow lost all Tab Groups and Tabs...and Restore Previous Session is grey, so that's not an option.

I've gone through all support pages, and still can't find a solution. I'm needing to restore to a specific day/time period. I lost literally hundreds of hours of research...and MUST find a way to get those Tab Groups and Tabs restored.
Again, for some reason, the Restore Previous Session option is greyed out...and not an option.
From what I've read, there may be some files in the Firefox profile folder that can be used, but it's not clear the steps to take to see if this would do what I need, and before I mess with those files, etc... I'd really need someone from tech support to review all this and assist me.

Firefox will not open unless i reboot and the "send Link" option no longer works

after firefox is opened it works fine for awhile and then when i close the browser the desktop icon is unresponsive to o pen again unless i reboot. also, the "send Link" option, that always worked before, now does not.

I had tried this before, but went ahead and tried this again.
I clicked on "reset Firefox". Firefox closed, but did not come back up. When I tried to open it again, I did receive a message that said Firefox is running but is not responding, that I couldn't open another window without stopping the processes on the other page.
I never got a window that showed me the information that was imported, or a place to click finish.
Since I don't believe this completed, I don't believe my problem will be solved.

Lost channel settings in group properties and blending options when switching to or from 16bit

I recently noticed that Channels-settings in both Group Properties and Blending Options are lost when changing a file from 8bit to 16bit and vice versa.
Could someone please verify if the behaviour is the same on their set-up?

Link between Material group and GL account

Hi Friends ,
Need your help in the following issue
Where is the link between Material group and GL account. i.e. If material group is selected in PO then the GL account for the material should get picked up automatically in PO (for account assigned POs) ?
What I know is
1. In Account assignment category configuration we need to assign the value "VBR" in Account Modification field.
2. In Material group configuration we need to assign the vluation class for material group
3. In Account determination(OBYC) for GBB transcation type for the combination of general modifier "VBR" & Valuation class we need to assign the GL account .
When PO is created with respective account assignment category the GL account is picked from the above setting.
My question is , "Is there any other setting apart from the above which will decide the GL account in PO fro account assigned POs"?

From IMG> Material Management> Purchasing> Material Master> Entry Aids for Items Without a Material Master,
With it you can define the G/L account assignment according to the relationship between material group and valuation class, from my point of view, you had better define some valuation class for non-produciton parts in advance.
