Group call trouble

My friends and I are attempting to initiate group calls as we have done countless times before (Not video calls) and all of a sudden, today, whenever we attempt to add somebody to the call, everybody is ejected. I uninstalled and Reinstalled Skype, and that did not fix the problem. I have tried adding people to the group and then starting the call, but when I add even one person more than the original amount of myself and the initial friend, the Call button becomes grayed out and unable to be clicked. I cannot start the call in any other ways. Help?

Start a fresh empty text message to one of your contacts.
At the top, where you enter the TO: information and the name, under that do you see an area for another TO: entry?

When in group call some can hear me and some can't

Recently since the update to 7.9 for mac when joining group calls my voice sounds scratchy and unclear to certain users in the group call while some cant hear me at all when in a one on one call the call quality is fine. Please help this is impeding my work

I'm having the same issue.
I can make/receive a call and can't hear the other person unless I use an external mic or the speaker.
I haven't had any other troubles, and haved loved the phone so far, but this is a big problem for me because I travel a lot for work.
I need a fix soon. Gonna contact Apple soon or drive about 100 miles to go to the nearest Apple store.
Any help would be appreciated.

Skype does not want to join group calls at all.

Hello.I recently got this very unusual problem with Skype. While I was talking in a group conversation, my internet bugged out, and as a result, of course, it kicked me out of the call. Afterwards, the internet started working just fine, but now it doesn't even let me call anyone, and I can't join group chats. When I call someone, it says that they were not called, or when I try to join a group call, it just stays silent for a couple of seconds, and kicks me out. My friends on the other side of the call say that I'm just ringing, but not joining the call.I have reinstalled Skype at least 5 times, restarted my computer, deleted Skype and reinstalled it yet again, and even got an error 3-4 times saying that the installation could not compelte correctly.I don't have a clue what the problem could be. And my headphones work just fine, so it can't be that. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah i'm with you there. plus, haven't you seen the new skype in web browser now. Its in a beta right now and probably going to be legit. First of all, Fix your program first. We don't need more pieces of useless **bleep** for skype. We just need it fixed. so stop sitting with your thumbs up your ass and actually make your program not a piece of **bleep**. Before skype was amazing bit now, like everything else microsoft has made, it went down fast. So please do us and yourself a favor fixed this bug already.

Can't use camera in group call.

I am unable to use my camera while in a group call. The camera works, but whenever i try to turn it on through the call quality tab it says that there are too many people in the call/conversation. Even though there are only three to four people active in the call it won't let me activate the camera. Other people in the call can use theirs so i don't know what the problem is.

I figured out the issue... they changed the way Group Calls are limited.

Long story short, you can't do a video calling at all if the group has more than 10 people in it total (including you).
Also, you can't do voice calling in groups with more than 25 people.
Text chats are limited to 300 people (or so I've been told by Skype employees). I've been in a chat with over 100 participants though so I know it goes that high at least.

I can't send or recieve messages in group calls

So I've got this problem recently, and it shows me in group chats "Instant messaging isn't currently available...."(the message is longer). I cannot send messages and i can't recieve them in group calls, but on private I can.
I have the latest skype version, I allowd skype to connect through my firewall and also I tried port forwarding, but no use. I logged out from my phone and from other devices where I'm logged in.
I tried solutions from other posts and none of them worked. Please help me with this!

I forgot to add that I also reinstalled my windows, and I think it also doesn't work on my phone. My friends who I'm talking to, don't have this problem, just me.

No Video For Group Calls

I have the latest version of Skype. The webcam I'm using is "LiveCam Sync HD" from Creative. It works fine with Skype on an individual call, but will not work with groups. What is the reason, and how can I correct it?

Sorry no solution - I have the same problem as you.
I have been trying to use video for a group call to 3 others. Calling each person individually they can see my video, but when we call as a group they cannot see my video but I can see theirs.
I am using a Dell Latitude (3 years old) with Windows 7. It was reimaged last week and downloaded latest skype - the problem has happened before the remiage so not this.
Hopefully someone has some ideas?

I want to invite 12 people to a birthday party. I have created a group called "Centerville Gang" I want to send just one message to all of these people. I would think there would be a way to select this group as the recipients once instead of doing 12 searches through my contacts to get all of the members in the group but I cant seem to figure it out. I must be missing something. Can you help?

Contact groups do not allow for group emailing. they are just an organizational tool for the contacts list.

Z10 group call log

Hi all,
is there any way to group call by name in Z10 call log/call history? With old BB, calls were grouped by name and was easy to see contact's call history; now, If a contact call me 10 times, I have 10 entry in my call log and, with a daily huge amount of calls it's annoying

How do I promote members of a group call?

I made a group call for some people running the server, but there are four people in particular I want to make better than everyone else. My friend said I can promote them to administrators, but I don't really know how.

I also need to know the answer to this question. Is it possible? If so, HOW?

Not letting me join group calls?

I cannot seem to join the group call. There is no option to join the call, and this is shared among all devices (ipad, laptop, and android phone). All applications are all up to date and have been redownloaded. The chat log registers that the "call as started" and had yet to have "ended" but there is no "join call option". The option sometimes appears after a long time if at all. The call leader must re-add me to the call for it to appear. There is then the problem of the calls randomly being dropped when the internet is fine. HELP!

One of the theories we had is that there might be someone in the call who is not your friend, so the privacy settings were kicking in and the call was dropping.
Could you check this please? Before the call, please make sure that all participants are in your contact list and have added you as a contact on their side also.

Cant join group calls at all

Hello, i am not able to join a group call at all. Even if my friends try to add me to call, they said they are not able to. I use to be able to, but now i cant. I have googled and tried almost every solution.

This is the message that i get in the chatbox. I cant even type in the group or anything, it is very annoying please help. I am also on windows 8.1 & the latest skype version

Not able to join group calls on IOS

Whenever I join any group calls it either has no sound for a few seconds before hanging up, or continuously rings. My skype is updated to the latest version and so is my tablet, I've also tried reinstalling skype. Is there any way to fix this?

Cannot hear audio of others in one specific group call

Hey all, a weird error's cropped up for me in a single group call. All other audio on my PC works fine (youtube, system sounds, even other skype calls like echo test and other friends), but in this call, everyone else can hear me, but I can't hear anything they say. Stuff I've tried already:Checking mic/speaker settings (they are correct)Reinstalling skypeRestarting PCSearching for fixes in older postsLeaving/being readded to the callGetting someone else to host the call I'm running the latest version of skype, and this error only appeared today, previously the call has worked fine. Update: Tried changing the call host again, this time it worked.

Can I add a caller DURING a group call?

I am aware that if someone calls me with Skype during a group call, I can bring them into the group right away by simply accepting their call. However, how does one make it work in the other direction? When I am on a group call, and the group decides it would like to bring a non-group member in, how is that done? Steve112

While on a call you can use the "add call" or "Contacts" buttons to get to the Contacts app. You can then add a new contact or add or edit numbers in existing contacts. (If the keypad is showing, press "hide" to see the other buttons.) Press the green bar at the top of the screen to return to the phone screen. If you are not using the headset, you can switch to speakerphone first, so you can talk while doing this.
If you want to use another app while on the phone, press the home button, then choose the app. It won't disconnect the call. If you have a CDMA carrier (Sprint, Verizon) you won't be able to use cellular data while on a call.
