Group Chat not loading

i made a new group chat on laptop but it wont load on mobile (i cant see it at all)
tried redownloading the app, still doesnt work??

Hey friend! I've been looking on the Internet for answers on how to fix this problem and found nothing!
My skype chats on mobile have been messing up and I have deleted the Skype app and reinstalled it, still didn't do nothing.
Luckily my iPod has been fine so far with Skype and I hate having to use computer Skype. If you find any answers on how to fix this problem, please respond back!

Chat history & Group chats not loading

Hi, last night I was experiencing issues in a group chat where I stopped receiving messages from anyone else in the group chat and while I was able to send messages myself, I have been told that they had never successfully gotten them. The next morning, I deleted and reinstalled the app (which btw updated the software as I had updated it to the new version beforehand) but now I cannot even see the group chat or most of my other contacts in the Recent section, and also chat history and icons will not load from any of my contacts except one. This has been very frustrating and I rely on Skype very much for communication, so I would very much appreciate a response back. Also, feel free to ask me for any more information if I wasn't specific enough with anything. Thank you!

Group chat not working on Mac

Suddenly stopped working, but personal messages works. Had to login via skype for web and that's where I saw that I had tons of group messages. Tried updating Skype to latest version (7.10), restarted several times, to no avail. Group Chat is still dead.

The same here. Group chats not working, and some 2-person chats not working too.

Lync 2013 Group Chat not working

We have a 2010 server and when I move people over to 2013 group chat does not work. I can select the people I want to talk to, but they don't see any of the conversations. When I move the back to the 2010 it works again.
We are running office 2013, lync 2013 and exchange 2010.
Any suggestions?

Have you installed Persistent Chat in Lync 2013? You'll need to migrate the group chat data to the Persistent Chat pool and setup a Persistent Chat Endpoint for the legacy 2010 group chat clients, see: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204901.aspx

Group chat not working on linux client

Ubuntu 12.04.4 and Skype Client for Linux 4.3.0.37
Group Chat no longer works for me I've tried everything online and no luck.
Do i simply have to wait for Skype to update the client because on the page for the new group chat experiece it says it's not supported but coming sooon!

recently our group started a new room as the old one finally broke down
( pencils just keep on staying up )
new group was created , my mobile phone connects just fine
how ever my linux and windows skype never see the new group
I have wiped all skype settings and reinstalled all sorts of version 6's / upgrades
unfortuantly it seems the Linux version is no longer compatiable
( gives the invited user the client must be upgraded message )
i even created a new skype account with still the same problem
I have been kicked and re-added my multiple people
I can create an group and they connect just fine , they can create an group and I can connect .. but the new group created by our leader just does not show up
i wish their was some way for me to import my mobiles group chat from favorites ...

hi guys, i just got the lg g4 and i'm having some issues with skype - I have 2 group chats i've been in for a while on my PC but they aren't showing up under recents in skype on my phone.I even have them favorited and they aren't showing on my favorites on the phone. ..this is very frustrating. - also, despite having selected show notifications.. skype refuses to send notifications

You might want to post this question over in the Using iPhone or Using iPad forum as iMessage is not a feature of iCloud (and does not require and iCloud account).

Group Chat not showing up

Hey, I log into Skype in two locations (Home and Work). I was invited to a new Group Chat while at home and it works fine there. When logged into Skype from Work however, the Group Chat is gone. I'm in another chat from before and that one shows up in both locations. - I've made sure both clients are up to date.- I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the work client.- I've tried adding the Group Chat as a contact while at home, but it doesn't show up as a contact while at work.- Obviously by extension I've tried restarting it.- I've checked with the other users in that group and it says I'm online and the group has seen activity while I'm at work. The only thing I can think is that maybe there's some kind of weirdness going on because I have a merged account (both skype name and windows login?). All my other contacts that I've added at home is showing up at work though. I've run out of things to try :/

WP8.1 group chat not going through till all online...

Is Skype group messaging for Windows Phone and other mobile devices p2p or cloud-based? Because unlike my chart messages to individuals, my group chat messages from WP as well as the two people in chart with me from their Android and iPhone don't go through till we are all online at the same time.

Skype group chats not sending messages.

So, I've had this problem for a while.
Basically, sometimes when I get added to a group, the group becomes really laggy.
very laggy, actually. one instance I posted a message on the 18th of december, then left the group, and it didn't send and register that I left until the 28th.
This is happening with another group, again.

I've uninstalled old skype and installed new skype, I've added the group to my contacts, I've tried everything. Other groups I'm a part of appear to be working just fine.
Can someone give me some advice?

ATM all I can think of causing this, is a multi version group. Skype changed their group chat behavior in v6.22, a mixed group eg 6.21 and below and above might cause issues.
The 6.21 version do work, however, all of you has to be on that level:

This is offcourse just an assumption based on that pre cloud and post cloud clients have issues.

Skype group chat not working anymore

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and Skype 4.3.0.37. I've premium account in skype and my username is : [Removed for privacy]. For last two days I'm experiencing an issue. I'm not getting any chat text from the skype groups I'm added to. Though I'm getting chat text from individual contacts. As well as if I create new skype group and add other persons from my contact then I'm getting the chat texts but if someone adds me in a new group then also I'm not getting the texts. Another thing is, though my status in skype is online still everybody in mu contact list is seing, my status as away.
I've already tried reinstalling the skype app but the same issue is still there.

Hi Skype Support Team,I'm also have the same issue like as above. I can not see any message on the chatting group now which does working some days lastweek. But still chatting with just each person normally. I'm using: #dpkg -l | grep skype

6.22.81.105 - group pictures do not load and canno...

I installed 6.22.81.105 and it works fine - everything that should work, works, except for one thing - group pictures do not load, and even if I try changing them myself, they do not appear for me or other users other users can see them, but they do not load on my computer. I have tried disabling my firewall, restarting, reinstalling, and have even used a packet sniffer to see if anything was failing to load for no reason, but it appears that it's just not requesting anything to begin with, for no apparent reason.

This has not been announced anywhere, but in Skype 6.22 version it's possible now to change profile pictures for new Cloud-based group chats. The old P2P chats are still shown without profile pictures.
Exactly the opposite is now the case with the previous 6.21 version.

Sent messages can not be seen by other members in BBM Group Chat

Hi,
Need help to overcome my current problem with BB Messenger .... My sent messages cannot be seen by other members in all BB Group chats, but I receive all chats from members ... I can still chat with the same members on one-on-one basis (not in group chat) .... Does anybody know what goes wrong?
FYI, I am using BB 9550 Storm2 with OS v. 5.0.0.607 with BBM ver 5.0.1.41

Try leaving the group and then have someone reinvite you again. In most cases, this resolves these sorts of issues.

Not receiving messages from group chats

It all started with this notification: (Name) needs to update Skype to participate in this chat. Help by sending them to skype.com/updateme. Learn more about new group chat. I immediately tried to update skype by going to the given link, but the message is still showing up when I am added to a group chat or call. Whenever messages are sent to the group, I can only see them if I log out of skype and log back in, there is also a similar bug happening where my friends tell me they have added me to the groups and the groups dont show up on my recent chats... not even if I log out or log back in but only if they start a call. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling skype, resetting skype, and "updating" it by going to skype.com/updateme and downloading the windows desktop client link that is given. I am on windows 8. I really need help fixing this ): Thanks

Hi Guys, you need to follow the below instructions in order to get rid of this issue:
1. First of all, sign out from Skype application and close it completely by clicking on “Quit Skype”.
2. Once you are done with it, you need to go Run Command (Run command is accessible through the Start menu or through the shortcut key ⊞ Win+R) & type %appdata% and press enter.
3. A window will appear on your screen and you will see “Skype” folder in it. Please delete that Skype folder and then try to reopen the Skype application. And you will be able to receive/send group messages now.
(Please note the last instruction may not work if you have not followed the first instruction correctly).

I notice the following sentence in the link below “Office Communications Server 2007 R2, Group Chat will not function in a Windows Server 2008 R2 forest or when Group Chat member servers are joined to a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain.
We know of an issue with changes in Windows 2008 R2 that requires a Group Chat Client and Group Chat Admin Tools hotfix. The Group Chat Client and Group Chat Admin Tools hotfixes are currently scheduled for mid-April 2010.”

So in my opinion, if you update to the latest version of Windows Server 2008 R2, OCS Server 2007 R2 and Group Chat Client, Group Chat Admin Tools to the latest version, it should work.
However, the best method for you is make a lab to test the problem firstly.

it loads the website fine, and i can navigate the site, but the chat room will not load.
