Group duplication exchange

what have i  do it for the below group duplication be for migration  exchange 2010 to exchange 2013 ?

Hi,
Agree with MAS's suggestion. Please verify which security group is the correct one (the one that is in use) at first. And then delete the one that is not in use.
What's more, here is a thread for your reference.

  • Powershell to get all the members in about 20 DynamicDistribution group in exchange 2010

    I have about 20 DynamicDistribution groups in my exchange 2010 enviroment.  I need to run a report to show all the members in each group.  How can I accomplish this with powershell ?  thanks for all the help

    I assume you don't want the output of all 20 groups dumped into one single list.  So, you'd just use this:
    Use the Shell to preview the list of members of a dynamic distribution
    group
    This example returns the list of members for the dynamic distribution group Full Time Employees. The first command stores the dynamic distribution group object in the variable $FTE.
    The second command uses the Get-Recipient cmdlet to list the recipients that match the criteria defined for the dynamic distribution group.
    $FTE = Get-DynamicDistributionGroup "Full Time Employees"
    Get-Recipient -RecipientPreviewFilter $FTE.RecipientFilter
    For detailed syntax and parameter information, see Get-DynamicDistributionGroup and Get-Recipient.

  • Removing old exchange 2003 routing groups from Exchange 2010.

    I have migrated over to Exchange 2010(server2008) from Exchange 2003(SBS2003). I've also already run the uninstall for exchange 2003 on the old SBS 2003 server. The old server itself is still running but exchange has been removed and once I get this fixed
    I plan to fully remove the old SBS server.
    I now get event ID 5020 and 5006 throughout the day on the new server. From what I've read, this happens because the old routing group connectors still exist.
    If I run Get-ExchangeServer I get
    Name                Site                 ServerRole  Edition     AdminDisplayVersion
    SERVER                                   None
    Standard    Version 6.5 (Bui...
    SERVER2008          hr.local/Configur... Mailbox,... Standard    Version 14.0 (Bu...
    Am I correct in assuming that the way to fix this now is to go into ADSI edit and delete records under CN=First Administrative Groups? As in delete CN=Routing Groups and CN=Servers and everything under both of those? I'd try this myself but I'm not aware
    of any way to restore those records easily if I'm wrong.
    Event ID 5006
    Cannot find route to Mailbox Server CN=SERVER,CN=Servers,CN=first administrative group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=HR,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=hr,DC=local for store CN=Public Folder Store (SERVER),CN=First Storage Group,CN=InformationStore,CN=SERVER,CN=Servers,CN=first
    administrative group,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=HR,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=hr,DC=local in routing tables with timestamp 27/09/2014 1:57:43 PM. Recipients will not be routed to this store.
    Event ID 5020The topology doesn't contain a route to Exchange 2000 Server or Exchange Server 2003 server.hr.local in Routing Group CN=first routing group,CN=Routing Groups,CN=first administrative group,CN=Administrative
    Groups,CN=HR,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=hr,DC=local in routing tables with the timestamp 27/09/2014 1:57:43 PM.

    Get-RoutingGroupConnector shows nothing. As for the servers group. It has the old server under it as shown in the image I posted above. That's actually what stops me from just deleting it because other guides have said not to delete it if an old server
    is listed.
    Is the SBS2003 server listed because I haven't ran DCPROMO to remove it from the network yet? I am planning to do this but was waiting till I cleaned up all the errors before transferring the 5 FMSO roles and running DCPROMO on the old server.
    DCPROMO isn't related to this, no.
    So you removed Exchange already? How? With setup? It should have removed the Exchange Server object then.
    It is supported to remove Exchange 2003 manually if required with adsiedit:

  • Owners can't update their distribution groups - Outlook/Exchange 2013

    I've seen some things online about this but I'm relatively new to this so I wasn't able to follow.  I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out.
    We have a brand new Exchange 2013 environment and users using Outlook 2013.  We want to set Owners on all our Distribution groups so that the managers of the departments can manage their own groups instead of having to ask IT to add or remove people
    all the time.
    We went into the groups and added owners to them thinking that this would allow the owners to add and remove people from their groups right from within the Outlook client.  However, when they try to do that, they get the error stating "Changes
    to public group membership cannot be saved"
    It looks like I need to grant some permissions to the users or something but I'm not following where I need to go to do that.  Can I do something from within the Exchange 2013 Admin Center web interface to fix this?  Any step-by-step instructions
    would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Thanks,
    I had seen these before but most specifically mention Exchange 2010.  Are they all still applicable?
    I followed the steps in the first link since they were easier to figure out, but it seems that if I put someone in that group, they then have the ability to modify ANY group and not just the one they are an Owner of.  That doesn't work if that's how
    it would have to be.  We just want to be able to assigned certain people to edit certain groups from within Outlook.
    hmm
    OK so the script from the first link seems to give people permissions to edit ANY distribution list which is not what I wanted.  I was able to use the script linked here that worked fine:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/11/18/how-to-manage-groups-that-i-already-own-in-exchange-2010.aspx
    Took a bit to get it working but now it seems to only allow people to edit groups they Own and not other groups.

  • Using domain security groups in exchange security groups for Office 365

    Hi
    Is there a way to use O365 domain security groups in O365 exchange security groups. This can be done between O365 domain security groups and O365 SharePoint groups.
    BR // Ille

    Sorry I missed your reply.
    I don't believe there is a way to do this yet, security groups used within exchange need to be mail-enabled security groups, these can't then be edited from the office365 portal, just the Exchange administrative centre portal.
    It looks like you currently still need to keep these separate.
    If you use DirSync and sync from your own domain then it is possible, since you manage the groups from your AD rather than Offfice365, but currently just in o365 there doesn't appear to be a way to do this.

  • Group Currency  Exchange rate type.

    Hi
    We wanted to post a foreign currency document, with a specific Exchange rate, that is specified in the Document type.
    Doument Currency is getting converted into Local Currency (Company code currency) based on the exchange rate type specifed in the Document type used for posting.
    But, the Group Currency is getting converted from Document currency based on the Exchange rate type : "M" but based on the Exchange rate type specified in the Document type.
    Is there any way, apart from specifying Exchange rate type in Parallel Currencies.
    We wanted the conversion of Both Local (Company code) & Group currencies be converted based on the Exchange rate type specified in the document type, for some specific postings.
    Following is our Scenario :
    Co.Code Cur - EUR
    Doc.Cur          GBP
    Grp Cur           USD
    Document type : XY -- Exchange rate type "1111" specified in the document type.
    Now when a document is posted with Document type "XY"  in Document Cur : GBP.
    Both Local & Grp currency to be converted based on the Exchange rate type " 1111".
    Thanks
    Kalyan

    Hello Kaylan,
    I will try to explain the system behavior, regarding to the exchange
    rate question, "M" is standard exchange rate type used in R/3 so it's
    not possible to change this default setting. However you can assign the
    exchange rate type to each FI document type at transaction OBA7. The
    exchange rate type assigned here applies to both online/batch postings.
    Therefore you can assign a different exchange rate type to the document
    types, but not per company code. The exchange rate that you customize at
    document type level is validfor the first local currency. However, for
    parallel currencies, the system will always use the exchange rate type
    defined in transaction OB22. Please, check your customizing there to
    check your changes.
    If you want to use exchange rate type B, for example, instead of M, in
    customizing you have to give Alt Ex.Type as B against M. So that it will
    take B rate whenever M is applicable. If you want this B rate to be
    applicable for specific document types then you can do the same at
    document type definition itself. Otherwise you can do the same at
    payment program level/ Revaluation. These are the only places where
    exchange type comes into picture.

  • Removing "On My iPhone" Contacts group: Google (Exchange) Sync

    Hi guys,
    I've got all my contacts properly syncing with Google Sync.
    But as soon as I set it up on the iPhone, I get this empty folder in Contacts "On My iPhone"/"All on My iPhone", as well as Exchange Contacts and Exchange Global Address List.
    Then I have to change Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars/Contacts/Default Account to "Exchange" rather than "On My iPhone".
    Is there any way to just remove "All on my iPhone" empty directory, or is it impossible with Exchange syncing?
    Thanks.

    Hmmm, that would work, but in iOS you can't manage the groups and such, how would I do that exactly?

  • Image group duplication issue

    Im running aperture 2.1.3 with an all Aperture managed library.
    I have a problem where i have some images in a 'Project' which have 3 versions (one original, one Aperture adjustments, one Photoshop clipped version)
    When I moved these images into an 'Album' each image group (master and its 2 versions) get duplicated 3 or 4 times!
    So i end up with 3or4 groups of 3. Instead of just the one group of 3.
    Now the really weird bit...
    At first I thought Id caught a shortcut key or something but then I realised that the 'extra' images didnt show how many there were in the group until I moused over the image, and '3' would appear and stay there until I exited and reentered the project.
    Also when I select an image from the group of three - the same image is selected in these other replica groups.
    I have over 18000 images in my library and over 80 projects with a few hundread Album/folders etc. So I do rely on it working accurately and I'm not doing anything unusual to what I normally do (and.. yes photoshop compat is ticked after I clip and save back into ap)
    Please can any shed any light on the problem?
    Thanks

    Ok found a quick fix.
    Create a new project folder, then drag all the images into it.
    This fixed it for me.
    After that i deleted the old folder and quit aperture. Finally I just changed the project name back to what it originally should have been.

  • Group duplication?

    Hi. I'm wondering.
    Say I declared a group. It's just a rectangle with a letter on it (like "A"). Could anyone tell me how to "create" an "instance" of that group? What I'm planning is that if the user clicks and drags that "A" box to another area, a copy of that is created onto the said area. I'm sure I can do the dragging part fine, but I have no idea how you'd be able to create an instance.
    If you guys know Flash AS2.0, I'm basically looking for the equivalent of the attachMovie(movieclip, attributes), which creates an instance of the movieclip ("object", like a car) and sets some attributes (like X and Y).
    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm sorry if this is sounding longNo problem, we suffer more from lack of information than from precise description of what is blocking you! :)
    The two problems are closely related. The "layers" you describe are often sequences or contain a sequence. So you create an instance of your node and just insert it in the sequence, the scene is updated accordingly.
    Here is a simple program to illustrate that:
    var groupOfBoxes: Node[];
    var masker = Circle { centerX: 100, centerY: 100, radius: 100, fill: Color.LIGHTBLUE };
    var scene: Scene;
    Stage
        title: "Forum Test"
        scene: scene = Scene
            width: 500
            height: 500
            fill: Color.LAVENDER
            content: bind // Need bind to update the scene when one element changes
                masker,
                groupOfBoxes
    // For simplicity, I just use masker as keyboard manager, not as mask...
    masker.requestFocus();
    masker.onKeyPressed = function (evt: KeyEvent): Void
        if (evt.code == KeyCode.VK_SPACE)
            insert
                Rectangle
                    x: Rnd(10, 90)
                    y: Rnd(10, 90)
                    width:  Rnd(30, 110)
                    height: Rnd(30, 110)
                    fill: Color.LIGHTGREEN
                    stroke: Color.GREEN
            into groupOfBoxes;
    }I think mask should be a clipping view, it might be more efficient than using ShapeSubtract.
    Let see...
    var masker = Circle { centerX: 100, centerY: 100, radius: 100 };
    var view = Circle { centerX: 100, centerY: 100, radius: 100, fill: Color.LIGHTBLUE };
    var clipper = Group
        clip: masker
    var scene: Scene;
    Stage
        title: "Forum Test"
        scene: scene = Scene
            width: 500
            height: 500
            fill: Color.IVORY
            content: // Here, no need for bind!
                view,
                clipper
    // view materializes the clipping area and gets the events
    view.requestFocus();
    view.onKeyPressed = function (evt: KeyEvent): Void
        if (evt.code == KeyCode.VK_SPACE)
            insert
                Rectangle
                    x: Rnd(-10, 100)
                    y: Rnd(-10, 100)
                    width:  Rnd(30, 170)
                    height: Rnd(30, 170)
                    fill: Color.LIGHTGREEN
                    stroke: Color.GREEN
            into clipper.content;
    }

    Hello Briji,
    Thank you very much for your reply, basically I am using search API and ApplicationStatus is a manage property. Here is the sample code that I have used. But I have also tried caml query using groupby clause
    and it's working fine. Is there any way to use groupby clause in keywordquery. Because if use groupby cluase in this code so that can resolve the issue.
    var kwq = new KeywordQuery(Site);
    kwq.QueryText = string.Format("Title:\"{0}\"", keywords); kwq.ResultTypes = ResultType.RelevantResults; kwq.RowLimit = pageSize;
    kwq.StartRow = startRow;
    kwq.TrimDuplicates = true;
    kwq.HiddenConstraints = "path:\"*/User Docs*\" AND IsDocument:true";
    kwq.KeywordInclusion = KeywordInclusion.AllKeywords;
    kwq.SelectProperties.Add("ApplicationStatus");
    kwq.SelectProperties.Add("ContentClass");
    kwq.SelectProperties.Add("IsDocument");

  • Can't add a mail enabled public folder to allowed senders on a mail universal security group in Exchange 2010

    Hello,
    I'm trying to allow a mail enabled public folder permissions to send to a mail universal security group. In the past if I wanted to add a PF as an allowed sender I would do it via the AuthOrig setting on that group using adsiedit.  I just noticed today
    that if I add the PFs DN to that attribute of the group, nothing happens.  No matter how long I wait the PF never shows up under the allowed senders list on the group. If you try and send as the PF you get a bounce about not being allowed to send to that
    group.  If I go back into AD and check, the PF is still listed under the AuthOrig attribute.  I tried this on a few different groups and with a few different PF and I'm stumped.  I think the last time I had to update this setting on a group
    was before I installed roll-up 5 for SP3.
    If I do the same test with a user, it works as it should and they show up in the allowed senders list.
    If I take a group that isn't restricted to specific senders and add a PF DN to the AuthOrig attribute of the group, the button in the message delivery restrictions for that group in the EMC will change from all senders to only senders in the following list,
    but the PF wont be listed in the box of allowed senders.  If I remove it from the AuthOrig attribute the group will change back to allow all senders.  It's really weird, so any help or light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
    I check many threads and articles, but there is no related information to verify the issue.
    If your purpose is that adding a mail-enabled public folder to allowed senders on a distribution group, there is a workaround method. You can create a new distribution group, and then add the public folder to the new distribution group, and add
    the new distribution group to the Only senders in the following list field of the target distribution group.
    Here is an article for your reference.

  • Exchange 2003/2010 Co-Existence - Distribution Group Management

    We're running both exchange 2010 and Exchange 2003.  I have an issue where some distribution groups were upgraded to Exchange 2010 (v14.0.100) and the manager of those lists who are on Exchange 2003 can no longer modify members, they get the error:
    "Changes to the distribution list membership cannot be saved.  You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object".
    We've already implemented the myDistributionGroupsManagement role with success to allow Exchange 2010 users to manage their own list without allowing them to create new ones.

    Trying to apply the "Default Role Policy Assignement" to the exchange 2003 users returns an error.  Is there any way Exchange 2003 users can manage Exchange 2010 Distribution list they owned without being upgraded to Exchange 2010?  If not, is
    there any way to downgrade distribution group to Exchange 2003 once they've been upgraded?

    Hi,
    From my lab, legacy exchange user can manage the distribution group which has been  upgrade to Exchange 2010.
    Exchange 2010 sp2, Exchange 2003 with sp2.
    I can add/remove member for distribution group from address book via outlook.
