No. Volume license upgrades require a previous volume license. And from your description it sounds like those licenses are owned by individuals, not the same company/ organization so it wouldn't work, anyway. Splitting a volume license is against the license agreement and depending o nthe licensing type chosen not even possible technically.

We have an unlimited user Xserve 10.3 running as a web server. We only have 3 actual users, but many web clients.
For us to upgrade to Server 10.4: can we get by with the 10 user site license, instead of the unlimited one we have now?
And is there an upgrade, or do we need to buy the 10.4 server complete package, as seems to be the case?

1) Upgrades from 10.3 "unlimited" to 10.4 "10-client" aren't supported... so you'll definitely need to do a format and reinstall.
2) There's no upgrade pricing. The best way to get a license break is to get OS X Server maintenance -- it's the price of the upgrade ($999) and gives you all updates for the next 3 years. The catch is -- that you must be on the most recent version of the OS (i.e. 10.4 Server) to purchase it.
Your only option, thus, is to buy the complete package, as you noted.

I am not a lawyer, so I am only giving an opinion. Basically there is the intent of the license as I read it (you might refer to the license if you want to interpret yourself) is to have teh software installed on at most 2 machines and be used by you on only 1 machine at a time. Within this context, if you had both 9 and XI on the same machines and are only using one at a time, the intent seems to be met. However, lawyers love technicalities, as that is what keeps them employed. I might go to my machine with XI and take a brief look at the license and I would suggest you do the same.

Move Acrobat license to new machine and upgrade at same time... not accepting old serial number

I had Acrobat 9 Pro on an old computer. I am moving to a new computer. I wanted to move my old license to the new computer and upgrade. The online sales guy told me I needed to deactivate and uninstall on the old computer (done), then download the upgrade and install it (done, using the serial number provided when I purchased the upgrade). Now, Acrobat XI says there is no old version on the machine (true... I was told I didn't need to install it) and it asked for a serial number. I entered the serial number off of the box that Acrobat 9 Pro came in and the program tells me it is not a valid serial number. What should I do???

You can also buy CS6 for $700 instead of paying $10 a month the first year for Photoshop CC followed by $20 a month till Adobe changes the monthly charge for CC. If you stop paying your copy of CC will deactivate at some point. And PSD files saved with CC will all not be fully compatible with prior versions of Photoshop. Your new Actions and scripts may also not be compatible with older versions of Photoshop.

Right now we are using BO XI R2 Version, Planning to uninstall XI R2 and do a fresh installation of BO XI 3.1 with SP3.
Do I need to install the Java latest version for XI 3.1? Right now we have the following setting,
         j2re1.4.2_04
         j2re1.4.2_16
         jre1.5.0_14
Since the up gradation of Reports, user, groups, universe events etc are from XI R2 version to XI 3.1.So Is it enough to
install BO XI 3.1 with SP 3, or do I have to go for FixPack inorder to avoid problem after this upgrade activity.

you dont need a special JRE version on the Server. With the installation of BO a own JRE will be installed for BOE. Only for developing WebI reports the developer need a 1.6.x JRE later on.
There is already FixPack 3.1 out but installing "only" SP3 should be sufficient.
I would recommend you check the upgrade guide from Rel.2 to XI 3.1:

How do I find an install for Acrobat 9 so I can put it on a new computer and upgrade it?

I need to move my old license of Acrobat 9 to a new computer. I plan on upgrading it but I can't find the original install files. I refuse to pay for another full copy to move it, and under the my adobe account there is no download option next to Acrobat 9. I did download the XI trial but can't do anything with it now that the trial has expired. How can i get the old files so i can move it and upgrade it? Also when i co onto the old computer and look under help the Deactivation option is gray, and I can't select it. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance.

When the trial asked me to register it I put my Acrobat 9 serial number in and it told me that it was not valid. It's the serial number that my "My Adobe" account gave me for the Acrobat 9 copy. Is there somewhere else I am suppossed to put it in at?

I know what you are asking and in the other thread, you were told it was for 2010 only. There is some support for 2009 but not for your old version. Go with the dongle suggested or upgrade your version of LabVIEW.

I also use 3 Macs in my home studio and would like to run Lightroom on all 3 of them. Can I use the Creative Cloud Lightroom 4 version on two of them AND use my original Lightroom license on the 3rd Mac without problem??
