Group Messaging errors

I cannot send or receive group messages when one or more member of the group is not on iMessage. I have group messaging turned on in settings and send as SMS or MMS as well. This problem is on my iPhone and on my Mac.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong?

I have an installation of Server 2012R2 as my DC. I am trying to setup GP for users to provide settings for IE10/11. I am not finding all of the options and I keep receiving an error about the admx file.
An error has occurred while collecting data for Administrative Templates.

I downloaded the file from MS and tried copying it to that directory in an elevated command prompt and it says I dont have permission to do that. I looked and it seems that everything is only read/execute with no modify ability. So I was going to try creating
a central store on SYSVOL per a suggestion on another forum, but I cant create a folder in SYSVOL\Policies because only the SYSTEM has modify rights.
I am logged in as a Domain Admin user. How am I supposed to fix my GP issues if I dont have the "right" to do it?
All suggestions will be appreciated.

Nokia 928. Latest win 8.1 software. Can not get MMS / picture / group messages

MMS on my Nokia 928 use to work. After an upgrade is doesn't work (? - could be a coincidence it happened after an upgrade?). I get the message "Get media content now." Tapping on the link doesn't do anything. Doesn't matter whether I'm using wi-fi or cellular data. If I go to Settings > Cellular+SIM > SIM Settings > add MMS APN, the fields are blank. At the microsoft support site it says to save your settings, but it doesn't tell you what these settings should be. The fields on this form are APN, User Name, Password, WAP gateway, WAP gateway port, etc, etc. Should this form be filled in? If so, what are the settings?
I need both picture messaging and group messaging. Right now it is broken.

HFGuy, We certianly know the importance of ensuring your MMS is working properly. Let's look into this. Do you notice this error occuring when you are connected to our 3G/4G LTE network or Wifi? Are you receiving this error message when trying to send MMS or receive? Also, can you please confirm the current software loaded on your Nokia 928?

Can't edit members of my group message? 4S / iOS 8.1

Up to date iPhone 4S user. I can add people to a group message, but if I go to details and swipe to delete on a name nothing happens...I can't seem to delete a user from the chat. (a friend asked to be removed from a particular group) Also to see if it was just that one chat, I started a test group message and can't seem to remove users from that one as well. If I delete the group completely will the other members be removed as well or will my friend continue receiving messages?
This is frustrating...is this because someone in the group message is using an older phone or iOS?

If your iMessage and FaceTime still hasn't activated by now, I would recommend you use this specific section of the following article as long as you verify you've done all the other troubleshooting from it for this issue:
If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime
If you're using an iPhone, contact your carrier to make sure that you can receive SMS messages.

Group messaging issue with messages being sent to email rather than mobile

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.0.1. I tried to send out a large group message today by opening up messages and clicking on the + button (top right corner) and selecting a number of recipients one by one in the list.
What I noticed was that when selecting some contacts, I was prompted for a delivery address while other contacts were automatically selected and I couldn't change the delivery path. Unfortunately the phone was automatically sending the messages to the recipients email rather than their mobile phone (I checked my mobile usage records). I couldn't select the recipient in the list and change the delivery method either... I also noticed that the message would change from an sms to mms message automatically because the iphone was automatically choosing an email address to send to. This is really annoying!!! Does anyone know a work around?
I tried disabling mms messaging in settings-messaging but I would get an error saying:
Cannot Send Message: MMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send to an email address
This is incredibly frustrating. Why doesn't the iphone allow you to select the delivery address for each contact rather than automatically selecting an email address? I thought the iphone would be smart enough to select their mobile number since it is a mobile messaging device...
Any ideas?

I tested a scenario for ebXML inbound type. for the first time it worked correctly with no errors. i got instance created in my soa composite. but from the next time, even though i changed the input xml file name with unique message id, i'm getting the following error after acknowledgement or between the acknowledgement.
Please help me to solve the issue.

I tried simple ebXML inbound use case only.
1.I created custom ebXML 2.0 document definition
2.created eBMS Channel for remote TP.
3.created Generic File Channel for host TP
3.created an agreement in the remote TP with these two channels and the document definition
4.Created a soa project in the jdeveloper with B2B adapter as sender(inbound), mediator to transform the xml to opaque(for .dat format) and then a JMS adapter as producer to put the the .dat file.
I tried this in 2 different ways:
If i configured the agreement without using the host channel (no channel for host and ebms channel for remote), instance for soa is been created with error since it is unable to convert to opaque format.
If i configured the agreement using the host channel (file channel for host and ebms channel for remote), no instance is been created in the soa but i can able to see the .dat file in the file channel's folder.In the reports page, msg and ack are generated correctly with one more error "duplicated protocol error".
Please help.

Group messaging since iOS 5 update

I strongly dislike the group messaging feature, where all recipients in a group text receive replies from everyone. I had this fixed a long time ago by simply turning this feature off. Since the update (not sure if it started with iOS5 or 5.0.1), it doesn't seem to matter if my group messaging is on or off. Those replying to a text sent to multiple people still see everyone's replies. It drives me crazy. My sisters and mom sat around using 4 phones trying different settings to figure it out. It was impossible. Turning of imessage seemed promising until I realized I stopped receiving their texts completely when I did that. Is this a bug that is going to be fixed soon?! Apple should be smarter than this...

(iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts > Server Settings)

In Previous versions iChat was set up to automatically change the Server Name fro AIM logins when starting or turning Off SSL. (it tended to look like the leading "s" appeared or disappeared).
IT Changed from login.oscar.aol.com to slogin.oscar.aol.com
There are suggestions that this does not happen now.
It is not known if this is done deliberately for "Security" or an error in the Update file.

PR05 Travel Expense Manager.Messag : Error while initiating travel form

Hi,
We're upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6.0 . With transaction PR05 we're getting error message .
Transaction PR05 -> entered in personnel no XXXXXXXXX and pressed the green checkmark. I then select a line - for this I selected the second line that said Transferred PAY. I then hit the RESULTs button on the menu bar and get the following error message:
"Error while initiating travel form"
Message no. 56568
Please advise how to fix issue.

Select your variant code and double click.
Displays 30 column (3 groups with 10 column) and 6 lines.
Change the column 4 (third group) and line 5 (Others calculation), is satisfied with 0, should change to 1.

Just loaded IOS 5, How to handle Group Messages

Just got our Iphones loaded with new IOS5, and noticed that all text messages are going to my wifes and my Iphones. They show up as a Group message. This is not what we wanted, how can we change this? I can't seem to find a setting.

One more question i have.
I know i have to wrap those codes in a procedure to invoke it from .NET platform and set the procedure as "stored procedure" of a DataSource of a GridView. Obtain a controlling object substitution before message error KI235 appears

Hello!
I' m in trouble... I'd like to define a substitution rule that works out before message error KI235 appears in posting a document by using FB01 or FB50 trx. I've tried to do it by using OKB9 trx and inserting a default cost center. It is not a good solution for me because OKB9 does not let me choose among different cost centers for the same cost element and bind me to use a fixed business area.
Could you help me please?

Giovanna,
You could reconcider to change the field status group and have the cost center set to "required" in stead of optional. FB01 and FB50 offer the oppertunity via Fast Entry Screens to enter a cost center immediately, before KI235 is issued.

LiveCycle unable to access Cache Controller. Exception message - Error accessing the cache container - Error on GET action for cache Replicated:UM_CLUSTER_INVALIDATION_CACHE

The incident starts after all the members are removed from the DCS Stack DefaultCoreGroup view and added back again by WebSphere Application Server. Following exceptions are seen after LiveCycle was added back in again to the view.
We have a clustered environment with two nodes 2A and 2B. Server 2A crashed and therefore all members on 2B node were removed from the DCS view. Later the new core group view was installed but LiveCycle did resume operations as expected.

I have tried looking for the root cause about why LiveCycle was not able to resume normally, didn't find anything related.

LiveCycle uses Gemfire as distributed cache for cluster members. If you are using TCP Locators (caching based on TCP instead of UDP), below are the possible situations which might lead to “ForcedDisconnectException” :
- There is time difference between two nodes.
- These is network connectivity issues.
- The high CPU usage by the member crashed.

Group Message Problem

If a picture message is sent to a group, I don't receive the message. The other people do, but it does not come to my phone. I don't know where to look to see what the problem is.????????

Receiving pictures messages is important to staying connected and updated with friends and family LakeGal777. I recommend checking your message settings to ensure group messaging is enabled. Do you receive an error message when you receive a picture or text message? Let's start here and get this resolved.

Group messages

I was wondering if anyone knew why I could not send group messages from my iphone 4s. Sometimes I am able to receive them but I can never respond back. And yes in phone settings it does say yes to group messages.

What exactly is happening when you try to send group messages? Not sure why you can't respond back...that is odd (but it has nothing to do with you being able to send them). Are you getting a error message when you try to reply?

Mavericks Crashes due to an Internal Messages error

I am using a 2009 27" iMac running Mavericks 10.9.4. Occasionally the OS freezes and the following message appears:
An Internal Messages error occurred.
There was a problem with Messages. You need to quit and open Messages again.
The mouse still moves, but the rest of the OS is totally frozen. I try to click on the Quit button in the error message dialog, but that does nothing.
There is no reaction to keyboard presses. The only solution is to hold down the Power button until the computer shuts off.
Any ideas on what the problem is?

Hi,
The Restore installs the OS at the current Level and this will include the apps that come with it.
This does include Messages, FaceTime, Contacts, iCal amongst others.
At this point I would either create another Mac User account in System Preferences > Users and Groups or enable the Guest account.
Log out of your current Mac User login and log in to your chosen test account.
Set up Messages with the same Accounts info.
Does the app work in this test account ?
