Group messaging in iOS 7

Ok so ever since I got my new iphone 5s my iMessage/text messaging has been really weird. My group messaging is not working right. Instead of getting a group message, I get messages individually from each group member. So you can't even tell its a group message. It just looks like a bunch of random texts from different people. I don't get why it's doing this??
I looked in my settings under messages and I have iMessage turned on, SMS message on, group message on. Pretty much everything is on but it's still not working. Also it may be worth noting that everyone from the group message all have iPhones so it's all through imessage.
Any thoughts as to how to fix this??? It's driving me crazy!

I have seen a number of posts from different locations regarding the Group Messaging question. I am with AT&T in the US and have an iPhone 4s with iOS 7.0.3. I do not use Group Messaging very often and have always had the button in the off position. I have sent a couple of short group messages in the last week, and see all responses from all members of the group. You asked for a picture so here you go. This is located under Settings>Messages.

Multiple Group Messages in iOS 8

I recently upgraded to iOS 8 after waiting a while in hopes that Apple would fix the basic bugs. Apparently that is not the case. I have a group chat with five of my friends that was working perfectly fine on iOS 7 but is having problems now that I am using iOS 8. The issue is that, despite having the exact same contacts, our group chats are being split into multiple chats. I have tried deleting redundant ones in hopes that they would merge back into one but it appears to not be possible.
All six of the people in the group chat have iPhones and we use iMessage to send our texts. None of us are using Apple IDs; this is done with the phone numbers.
How do I correct this problem? How do I have one thread for the group chat and not have to bounce back and forth just to read texts that are now being thrown out of order?

Can you only rename group messages in iOS 8 if all participants use iMessage?

I was super excited about the new features in Messages for iOS 8, but it only seems to allow me to rename a Group if all members of the group are iPhone users. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a real limitation to the feature?

Why can't I leave group messages with iOS 8?

I updated my 5c to iOS 8 but I'm not able to leave group messages. I click under the Details for the group message but it doesn't present an option to leave.

I suspect your group message includes non-apple devices within the group?
I am able to leave group conversations that consist only of iPhones. However, I am unable to leave a group message that contains non-apple devices such as androids, dumb phones, etc. Very annoying, since the conversation I want to leave consists of non-apple devices
I have a potential solution: I'm going to try blocking one of the numbers from the group text. I'll post back my results.
If that doesn't work, I'm going to try turning off the "Group MMS" option within the settings, and then blocking the person who initially started the conversation.

Anyone else having problems with group messages in iOS 7?

Upgrade to iOS7 went fine. Everything worked smoothly up until about 6:30pm Central time. Can't send/receive group messages in iMessage. Anyone else?
Not sure if this is a problem with my phone or iMessage.

It has failed to work on two of my iOS devices. I am using air 2.6.
This is my code:

LessonIndex is always 0 at the start of the program. This is a product killing problem. If I cannot resolve this 3 years of work has just been flushed down the toilet.

Group messages in iOS 8 updated not working on my iphone 5

i updated to the new iOS 8 this morning on my iphone 5 and now the group messaging isn't working.
no group message option in setting neither. help please.

I have this problem too - and it is on a BRAND new iPhone 6 - I have definitively tracked the issue to the moment I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2 - and am beyond frustrated. Group Messages in iOS 8

Within a group message of all iphone users, messages sent as text show up in a different group with no contacts labeled. Why aren't both imessages and text messages showing up in the same group text?? I think this is a flaw of iOS 8???

Oh yeah, now I remember that.
But I also remember that you had to go all the way to the start of the message to gain access to the current contact information. Where as in iOS7 that button you mentioned is the contact information. Personally I perfer iOS7. I don't delete my messages, so this is better for me.
However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to add an Edit button in that sub menu that shows up when you touch the upper right button. Currently there are opitions for "Phone", "FaceTime" and "Information" on the contact.

Group messaging since iOS 5 update

I strongly dislike the group messaging feature, where all recipients in a group text receive replies from everyone. I had this fixed a long time ago by simply turning this feature off. Since the update (not sure if it started with iOS5 or 5.0.1), it doesn't seem to matter if my group messaging is on or off. Those replying to a text sent to multiple people still see everyone's replies. It drives me crazy. My sisters and mom sat around using 4 phones trying different settings to figure it out. It was impossible. Turning of imessage seemed promising until I realized I stopped receiving their texts completely when I did that. Is this a bug that is going to be fixed soon?! Apple should be smarter than this...

Does it read login.oscar.aol.com in the server Setting tab ?
(iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts > Server Settings)

In Previous versions iChat was set up to automatically change the Server Name fro AIM logins when starting or turning Off SSL. (it tended to look like the leading "s" appeared or disappeared).
IT Changed from login.oscar.aol.com to slogin.oscar.aol.com
There are suggestions that this does not happen now.
It is not known if this is done deliberately for "Security" or an error in the Update file.

Do Not Disturb not muting notifications for group messages in iOS 8

I have Do Not Disturb enabled for a particular group conversation. It mutes sounds for that conversation, but doesn't suppress notifications. This seems contrary to the "Mute notifications for this conversation." description under the setting. Am I misinterpreting how this feature is intended to work?

If in fact all it is supposed to do is turn the sound off but you still get notifications, that is massively stupid. You know, I absolutely love Apple products and I hate to say this, but Apple is completely losing me. They need to get this right and use their brains. If I'm a part of a group text and there are texts coming in every 30 seconds, it helps me 10% to mute the sound, but 90% to just get rid of all the notifications so I can check in on that text when I feel like it. Hello!!??

IPhone 5s will not send or receive mms/group messaging

I recently got a new iPhone 5s for my birthday. Before I had a iphone 4. My carrier is verizon
I had never been able to send pictures to friends who have non iphone phones. I also was never able to receive a group message with people who have non iPhones and iPhones. When I try to send a group message including non iphone users, it sends all messages independently. I have tried everything from turning iMessage and mms on and off to taking out my SIM card. My friend who has an iphone started a group chat with users of iphone and non iphone, though I am still not able to receive the messages even with a new phone and a new SIM card. Is this a problem with verizon? Even so my friends who receive the group chat have verizon and still get the messages. Please I need to fix this because it's extremely aggravating that a simple group messaging function does not work and that no one so far can give me answer on how to fix this. Thanks.

Contact Verizon. Group messages in iOS send as MMS messages, which is the same thing used to send picture messages. Your account is not provisioned properly (or you do not have a plan that includes MMS messaging).

Groups messaging and find my iphone questions

Hello everyone.
First, I've created and been part of group messaging since ios 8, and can NOT delete one recipient in the group.
Second, with my iphone 5 I had to put in my password everytime I launched Find My iphone. With the iphone 6 I don't have to do this. My wife said she never had to do this with her iphone 5. I gave her my old one (because it has 32gb and hers has 16), and now she has to enter the password every time she launches the app. How do I set the device so she does not have to enter the password every time the app launches?

If the phone says offline then there is no way to track it. Reporting to police would be the next step.
