Group shots not responding
Hi
I'm attempting to group my shots in the clip browser.
After selecting the shots (all camera A shots in the sequence)
I press G on the keyboard and the group I'm attempting to create
doesn't manifest.
Any ideas?
Iby
AFAIK, there is no "Group" function in the Browser.
If you need a bunch of shots organized by type/camera or whatever, either use the various comment fields then sort by them and put groups of shots into separate folders within the Browser.
Or, are you talking about making a multi-clip?

Hi,
We have lync 2013 environement and we have configured Response Group Service in enviroement. Respnse groups has stop responding. We are getting below event ID :
Log Name: Lync Server
Source: LS Response Group Service
Date: 18/07/2014 11:52:56 PM
Event ID: 31165
Task Category: (2001)
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: Frontend server2 FQDN
Description:
The passive Match Making Service cannot connect to the active Match Making Service.
Access active Match Making Service: Frontend server1 FQDN failed.
Failure occurrences: 23175, since 16/07/2014 3:19:05 AM.
Cause: There may not be an active instance at this moment or connectivity to that machine was lost.
Resolution:
Verify the Microsoft Lync Server 2013 certificate and Microsoft Lync Server 2013 installation and make sure that the active Match Making Service is reachable.
Kindly suggest how to resolve the issue and remove above event.
Thanks
jitenderDo you see the errors on FE1? How many front end servers are in your pool? This looks like a communications error. Can the servers directly communicate with eachother or is there any kind of HLB that's intercepting the traffic?
From FE2, if you ping FE1's FQDN, is the IP address the IP address that's directly assigned to FE1?
If there's anything intercepting traffic, a overactive firewall or endpoint management solution, HLB configuration or other, make sure it's out of the way. If that's not an issue, off-hours it may make sense to bounce the response group services as
well in case an active instance simply isn't available.

PSE10 Photomerge Group Shot is not saving!
After being able to complete several Photomerge Group Shot projects before, the program is no longer saving them. It allows me to open all photos (I've tried merging group shots from 2 pictures to 5 pictures in an effort to find the error) and to go through all the motions but when I click 'Done' nothing happens. No error. No lag. One of my open files just sits there untouched.
I read somewhere that I should delete my preferences, but I haven't made any changes. This is the only feature I've ever even used on my new Elements program.
I tried opening the program under my husband's user name (new settings / preferences), but the same thing occurs. It just doesn't save - even when the computer has just been booted up and I'm only trying to merge two photos.
My machine is a Dell Inspiron 530S running WinXP 32-bit SP3 with 2GB RAM. I just clean installed WinXP and all windows updates. The only programs I have installed are Office and PSE10.
I just got Lightroom as a Christmas gift that is incompatible with this computer. If this is a RAM issue...or if I should upgrade to 64-bit...what should my minimum system requirements be to optimally run both Elements and Lightroom?Have you tried doing:
File >> Save As
This should allow you to give a different name to the file so that you don't over-write any existing files with the same name.
If you have already tried this, do you get any error messages on the screen? If so please post here to get further assistance here.
Good luck. -
I originally posted this question to the community section and was advised to post it here. Please bear with me as this will be a long post. I'm including the scenarios involving this reoccurring issue, the trouble shooting steps I've already
taken and the results of several diagnostic tools and logs.
I have a Sony VAIOS VPCEBB33FM lap top since 2011. I have had this issue on an off for a long time. I'm at my wit's end. Any new insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Scenario Details
1) Some times it's on and off through out the day, sometimes it won't work all day, and once in a while it will work fine for the entire day.
2) I've had this issue across several wireless services, Clear Network accessed with WiMax, Library Wi-fi, Comcast cable internet using wireless router and Wi-fi, and Comcast Xfinity Wi-Fi, to name a few examples.
3) Other devices in the household or library will work with no problems such as my smart phone or my roommates' laptops or desktop computers.
4) Once in a while, the built-in wireless adapter is not found and I have to reinstall the driver. Also the diagnostic tool has had to reset my adapter on an increasing basis.
5) I had my hard drive replaced in December 2014 and my system restored from the System Restore disks that came with it when I bought the laptop. Even though I've been online on an infrequent basis it worked just fine for a while. Now that
I've been online a bit more I'm having the same issues again.
Below are my attempts at trouble shooting so far but I still have not been able to consistently resolve my DNS issues
1) Restarting my adapter
2) Turning off my laptop and removing the power supply for 5-10 minutes before turning it back on.
3) Using the IP Config in Command Prompt
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
4) Using the NetSh reset in Command Prompt and restarting my laptop
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /flushdns
[restart laptop]
5) Configuring the TCP/IP in several settings
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
I have used the following settings:
a) Obtain an DNS server address automatically
b) OpenDNS
208 67 222 222
208 67 220 220
c) Google DNS
8 8 8 8
8 8 4 4
6) Updating the driver for my Intel Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6250 AGN and Intel Centrino(R) WIMAX 6250 from the Intel website previous having my laptop wiped clean in 2014. It still did not resolve the issue. My laptop
manufacturer as not come up with an driver update for my adapter since 2010. I haven't tried to update the adapter driver from Intel's website since having my laptop repaired due to the fact that Intel strongly recommending using the manufacturer's updates
instead and frankly it didn't make much of a difference when I did it the first time.
7) The last one I've tried as of today is going into Services and changing the start up type to automatic for the following:
Computer Browser [changed from manual to automatic]
DHCP Client [already set to automatic]
DNS Client [already set to automatic]
Network Connections [already set to automatic]
Network Location Awareness [changed from manual to automatic]
Remote Procedure Call (RPC) [already set to automatic]
Server [already set to automatic]
TCP/IP Netbios helper [already set to automatic]
Workstation [already set to automatic]
...and I'm still having DNS issues.
My only guessing are that my laptop came with a lemon adapter that needs to be replaced, some advanced setting(s) that I'm not aware off, or my firewall/anti-virus is interfering. I've used Symmantic Anti-virus and Firewall in the past and currently
Avast Anti-Virus with Microsoft Network Firewall. I've had DNS issues with both anti-virus/firewall set ups.
Below are the results from the diagnostics and tests that I've ran.

Computer not responding after PR8 opens
Hello, my source files are from a Panasonic HD camera, I am running Adobe Premiere Elements 8, my laptop specs are
I have a Dell laptop Intel (R)Core (TM) 2 cpu, T7600@ 2.33 GHz, RAM 2.00 GB
OS: Windows Vista
Version: Adobe Premiere 8
I open the project and about 30 to 40 little icons show up on my bottom right hand tool bar, ffdshow audio decoder and ffdshow video decoder. This has not happened on previous projects. When I try and do some work the screen fades and it is hung up and will not respond. It gives me a message when I first open the project that my system memory is low, but I still have 34 GB's of 110 GB's space left
Any ideas
Thanks for your help
AllanAre you saying that the program does completely open or it doesn't?
If the program opens, it could be that your AVCHD video files are slowing it down (since you've got a pretty marginal machine for editing AVCHD). Though I can't say for sure because I don't know what model of camcorder you're using and which video format it shoots in.
I'm also not sure what you mean when you say "30 to 40 little icons show up on my bottom right hand tool bar". Can you post a screen shot of this so we can see it? -
AMD A6-5400k - CPU1: Not Responding
Hi fellas,
I got a new CPU for my maschine, which runs on ARCH-x86_64 Kernel 3.6.10. So far everything went fine but one thing:
At boot, only of the two cores is recognized. This is only the case in Arch, both BIOS and Windows show both Cores. I rebuilt my initramfs and reinstalled linux, but none helped.
I realize, there are several topics around the www and this board, but none of them helped me in my case.
I tried some things, like booting the LTS-Kernel.
Any ideas how I can solve this issue?
I got the outputs of dmesg (system boot):
I think the relevant Lines are around 0.17000.

ITunes is not responding!
Ever since this past friday iTunes has not been responding. I will open it, and nothing looks different about it. Except, you can't click on anything (and my computer is not frozen).
So, i go down to the task bar, right click on iTunes, and select close. Then a message telling me the program is not responding pops up and i click end now. Windows says it is trying to find a solution to the problem but it never does.
I have tried restarting my computer, opening iTunes with nothing else open, waiting to see if it's just loading, but nothing works. Help!hey b! whats up?! I have discovered a pattern! for anyone who is experiencing this same problem... if you try to modify the information on a group of videos you must do it one by one and when the video is playing... if you try to modify them all at once it will freeze.
This is basically what I have found out... I don't know how to get itunes back to normal but at least I can more or less control de situation...
Thanks!!!! -

Open Directory Server "not responding"
This is strange, and I'm not sure what if anything is wrong...
My server is an OD Master. LDAP, Password Server, and Kerberos all report running. AFP authentication is set to Kerberos (only). Authenticated directory binding is enabled. Client computers are bound to the directory server. They connect via AFP, a ticket is created (viewable in Ticket Viewer), everything works fine (apparently).
However... in System Preferences/Accounts/Login Options, there's a red dot (not Leica) next to the directory server IP, and if I click on Edit it says "The server is not responding". This is the case for all client computers, not just one. Not sure when it started; when I set it up they were all green of course.
So, what does this "server is not responding" mean? Given that clients can do everything they need to do, can/should I consider this a non-issue?Thanks Classic and Chris. Good questions.
The server isn't behaving as expected. Following Classic's suggestion, I tried binding without SSL. I didn't expect it to work, I thought SSL was required. (Under OD Settings/Policies/Binding, "Encrypt all packets (requires SSL or Kerberos)" is checked.) But with SSL unchecked, I was prompted for diradmin username/password. I entered the correct credentials, but they were rejected. So I tried leaving the credentials blank. That bound the client to the directory successfully (green dot). But "Enable authenticated directory binding" is checked.
With the green dot, I tried connecting to the server over AFP, but could not. Only when I manually copied in the Kerberos file was I able to successfully connect to AFP. (Shouldn't the Kerberos file be created automatically at some point?)
So, clearly something is wrong with SSL, and also perhaps with my settings. (The server should only allow binding with authentication and over SSL, but it does not, and it does allow unauthenticated binding without SSL.)
OD Overview confirms that Kerberos is running. Not connected to an AD domain (nor should be).
Running the kadmin.local command gives me a very long list of items that look like e.g. service/[email protected] or service/LKDC:[email protected] One of the services listed is "afpserver". (There are also listings for a number of services that aren't run on the server.)
AFP is restricted to two groups; the username I'm using for AFP connections is a member of one of those groups. -
IPod Touch accelerometer not responding, can't detect in iTunes to Restore
Well here's an odd problem. My 64GB iPod Touch 3rd gen suddenly stopped responding to rotation/movement from the accelerometer.
The Rotation Lock feature is off. I've toggled this on and off many times. There is no icon in the status bar indicating it is on.
Everything is stuck in portrait mode. When trying to play a game that relys on the accelerometer the game will also not respond to movements.
I followed Apple's KB directions and held down the Sleep+Home buttons to hard-reset the iPod, and that seemed to occasionally help, but sometimes the accelerometer still would not respond. I plugged in the iPod, went into iTunes (latest version, 10.1.2) and did a full Restore, erasing and resetting everything to default 4.2.1 firmware. I did not revert to a previous saved backup, so there should be no trace of the previous firmware at all.
After the Restore, I synced my music and apps back to the iPod, and the accelerometer seemed to work fine. After a while, the screen would not rotate again, and apps using the accelerometer would not respond. Again, I checked that Rotation Lock was off.
I plug the iPod back into my MBP, hear the "Ding" charging sound from the iPod, but iTunes does not detect it! However, it is listed in System Profiler under USB as "iPod":
iPod:
Product ID: 0x1299
Vendor ID: 0x05ac (Apple Inc.)
Version: 0.01
Serial Number: xxxxx
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Apple Inc.
Location ID: 0xfa140000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 500
Extra Operating Current (mA): 500
To rule out my user account, I used a Guest account, opened iTunes, and it still doesn't detect the iPod, although it still appears in System Profiler.
Is this some software bug? Is the hardware at fault? I've been out of warranty by about a month now, as I bought it a year ago, so it's kind of frustrating that my iPod would suddenly bug out like this. It's still usable, but it's annoying to be forced to type everything in portrait, and be unable to use app that relys on the accelerometer.

I personally like to Crop, and then use PNG for my screen-caps. If I need more images, say to show other Palettes, etc., then I do one each for those shots.
We see a lot of full-screen caps posted, where aggressive JPEG is used, and nothing can be read. That is especially true with images, like Adobe Encore's Flow-chart, where there is a lot of text and linking being shown.
Just my personal preferences.

Storage Array (EqualLogic) Status: Not Responding in VMM
We have a customer running SCVMM 2012 SP1, using 2 nodes and the underlying storage is an EqualLogic box.
Worked fine for a while, but a couple of weeks ago their SCVMM started complaining about failed jobs regarding the storage provider. The error message is:
Error (2912)
An internal error has occurred trying to contact the VP-SCVMM01.customer.local server: :a:DestinationUnreachable: :MI RESULT 6:The requested object could not be found..
WinRM: URL: [http://vp-scvmm01.customer.local:5985], Verb: [GET], Resource: [http://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wsman/1/wmi/root/microsoft/windows/storage/MSFT_StorageSubSystem?ObjectId={1}\\VP-SCVMM01\root/Microsoft/Windows/Storage/Providers\EQL_StorageSubSystem.ObjectId="6019CB11A5A29937571EA5"]
The handle is invalid (0x80070006)
Recommended Action
Check that WS-Management service is installed and running on server VP-SCVMM01.customer.local. For more information use the command "winrm helpmsg hresult". If VP-SCVMM01.customer.local is a host/library/update server or a PXE server role then ensure that VMM agent is installed and running.
The storage provider in SCVMM is listed as "not responding" as is the Array itself.
Anybody any idea to resolve this?
The closest thing I could find was this thread, somebody mentions the same problem: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/12038.vmm-2012-sp1-installing-and-configuring-dell-equallogic-ps-series-smp-provider.aspx
Only difference is that we didn't do any upgrade or change. Based on his comment I would like to remove the storage provider and re-add it but I want to make sure that removing it doesn't break anything for the LUN's or the fact they keep being presented
to the hosts.Hello...
What version of Dell EqualLogic Host Integration Tools for Microsoft are you using?
Are you able to manage EqualLogic storage using the SMP Provider from native Windows File and Storage Services in Server Manager?
Basic troubleshooting steps I would recommend are to restart the "EqualLogic SMP Host Service" - and perhaps also restart "Windows Remote Management (WS-Management)" Service.
Has anything recently changed on the Dell EqualLogic group - such as admin account credentials, ip address changes, or the introduction of management interfaces? I would check to ensure that the SMP Provider is properly configured (username, password,
group ip or management ip, etc...). You can do this via the Dell EqualLogic PowerShell Tools or via Dell EqualLogic Auto-Snapshot Manager / Microsoft Edition.
Here is a useful Deployment and Configuration Guide for using the Dell EqualLogic SMP Provider with SCVMM 2012 SP1:

Keep getting "not responding" error message as DW hangs
I have had the following problem consistently used DW 12.1, as well as the version that was with CS 5.5. And I am almost sure it has something to do with the html or other code on my pages, but I thought a DW guru might help.
Basics First: DW 12.1 with the subscription. 64 bit Window 7.
Files that I am editing will periodically freeze, and then I get the "not responding" message above the menu bar. It freezes for 10 to 30 seconds (IT FEELS LIKE 10 TO 30 HOURS) and then starts working again.
Of course it only seems to happen when I'm on a roll making many duplicate mundane edits and then BOOM... can't do anything except shoot laser eye daggers at the screen and try to prevent myself from hyperventilating.
Here's the thing. I work on many sites; and this generally only happens on the site of my main client. I work off o local copies of the site, but I inherited them and they are massively full of bloat code, scripts, etc. I would not be surprised in the least if DW is trying to run or access some of this and this is the cause.
I turned off the "Display external files" option; are there other options I should try? It really is the absolute most annoying thing in my life right now (we should all be so lucky) and I'm hoping you might have a way to fix it.
I'd be happy to post code, but this page is a typical example where I might get the error 10 times in a 30 minutes while working on it...
http://www.healthfirst.com/acls-kit.html
Thanks!Retard, (I know that sounds hilarious, but I don't know your name - no offense please! )
Like you said, if this happens only primarily on one of the many sites, it generally comes down to the type of code on that site.
And after looking at the URL you posted, seems like that page uses a lot of external references - JS and CSS.
Especially the last few lines:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://njcdn.worldsecuresystems.com/CatalystScripts/Java_OnlineShopping.js?vs=b1763.r38875 7"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://njcdn.worldsecuresystems.com/CatalystScripts/Java_Cookies.js?vs=b1763.r388757"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://njcdn.worldsecuresystems.com/CatalystScripts/Java_Box.js?vs=b1763.r388757"></script>
Also, a couple CSS, JS references in the <head> section.
'Display External Files' only disables showing external files - but still loads them.
Can you try removing the external references and try working with the webpage in DW for a few minutes to see if the same problem persists? If it does, we know what was causing your issue.
Also, run your site through W3 validator to check and resolve errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.healthfirst.com%2Facls-kit.html&charset =%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
Let us know how it goes.
Good luck.

I had a lot of trouble updating iTunes to 11.1.4 and had to uninstall it and all of its connected programs before I could finally reinstall it. It's working properly now, but Outlook will only partially open. It opens up, but it says "Not Responding" for a very long time and never functions.I can get to my e-mail through Hotmail on the 'net, but I prefer using Outlook and have other e-mail boxes there that I need it for.
I'm on PC running Windows 7. Does anyone know if the install of iTunes could have screwed Outlook up? It was closed when I did the install.
Thanks for any help!I finally found a solution that worked.
I installed the App "Group SMS" from the App Store. Then I created a new group. Then I added all my addresses manually one by one. And when I then synchronize - all my contacts appeared again in Outlook. -
I am running
Windows 7 64 bit
Access 2010 32 bit
Developing an application with a split FE BE with both files local but continue to have the message "Not Responding" when switching from forms view to design view and back as well as if I try to connect to a subform or object on the sub form.I have seen this behavior when the form's RecordSource is a complex query such as a crosstab or a query with several nested queries. To test if this is your case, remove the RecordSource and see if the form starts acting normal again.
Then again, if the form has several subforms they might be slowing up the loading time.
